A bit of a mixed experience, first of: grounds and interior stunning! Amazing styling, lovely mix of old and new, great details in the dining area, worth exploring the several public areas inside the mansion. Lovely terrace, food is good, although drinks are a bit spendy. Branding is excellent, up to and including the vaeshartelt biscuit that comes with your coffee. Staff young, fun, friendly but a bit disorganized. You can see all efforts went into branding and styling, but practically there are some improvements to make. We stayed in a superior room, which was still very friendly priced. However, the rooms (even with an upgrade) are very basic and small. Very humid even though it wasn’t that warm. So you have to keep your patio door open, which was an invitation to the many many insects around. Had a broken night because of several mosquitos having a feast, no where to hide because of the small area. This could be easily prevented by insect screens. Bed is rather narrow as well. Rooms not as luxurious as the rest of the Buitenplaats would suggest. Weird mismatch expectation-wise. Dinner was nice but service was chaotic and desert took forever. Overall, would recommend for a visit but adjust your expectations.

This is a beautiful place if you want to relax in style. The building is historical, and the park around it beautiful and ideal for a stroll. The personell is friendly and professional. The rooms are modern and rather basic, but all fine for me.There is no coffee or tea in the room, nor a minibar. I had dinner in the restaurant which was great: large portions, tasty, and friendly service. Rented a bike for a day which was easy and not expensive at all. Some criticism: the breakfast is too basic. For a location like this, you need more variety, more class, and better food. The gravel path to the reception looks nice, but is not handy when you roll a heavy suitcase. The outside furniture looks cheap and out of tune with the surroundings.

Buitenplaats Vaeshartelt is a 3 star hotel with basic rooms but good mattresses and in an amazing setting, the park surrounding the hotel. Breakfast was simple and kind-of OK-ish. The coffee was really undrinkable.

Perfect location, the food and the room were great, very quiet, beautiful park with a fountain, squirrels and some children boards. Breakfast and dinner were excellent. I have absolutely no negative points to mention. Would like to thank this place for the hospitality.

Terrible service. We asked if we could take a drink in the bar. We could. Yet, not a single waiter took the order. We waved a few times and even asked, but no one came. We ended up leaving after twenty minutes without service. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This place is terrible.

Overall; super nice! Gorgeous hotel and restaurants. Basic but all good rooms. Location is very nice, lots of green nature all around. 15 minute walk to a bus stop that goes to the city centre. Super dog friendly! There was even a dog bed for our dog in the room, a toy and a snack. We really loved that there were clear instructions where the dog could and could not come (for example, they have several restaurants and he was allowed in most but not all). Only point of critic; the breakfast. From such a beautiful hotel I expected a bit more. Really basic with very little healthy options.

It’s 3:29 AM, I am currently in my room at the hotel, struggling to fall asleep. All I did wrong was to close the curtains to black out the room and have a calm sleep after a whole day trip from Berlin. The curtains were full of dust and I’ve been constantly coughing, feeling miserable 😢😢😢😢 This is going to be one of the worst nights of my life. I wish I could write a positive review, sorry.

The hotel and staff were really nice. The price however was too high.

Hammer. Immer wieder schön. Wir waren jetzt schon 5mal hier und nicht das letzte Mal. Außerhalb der André Rieu Konzerte im Juli auch preiswert.

Passed this place on a bike on Sunday afternoon and stopped for a drink, decided to try food as well. Great burger 🍔, carrot cake was ok, looks better than tastes. The atmosphere is really really nice. We also took a walk to the lake and apple garden. Enjoyed this castle very much!

Reasonable meal, good service. Few vegetarian options. Whisky selection is very predictable.

Very nice location outside of Maastricht (train station 'Noord' is a 15 walk and then a 7 minute train trip to the center). Beautiful surroundings and very quiet other than the very occasional low flying airplane from Aachen airport. The rooms aren't very soundproof but guests are mostly senior and quiet. Neat & tidy. The restaurant and bar had mostly a very junior staff on. I was told twice 'this is my first day'. The menu you can find online is not up-to-date. I wasn't very impressed by the handling of a couple that had some complaints because of the noise in the restaurant due to an event going on in the next room. Not that I disagreed with the staff but the public bickering and claiming the customer was wrong went on for several minutes for all to hear and really could have been handled better in a more private place. Some minor stuff like the elevator not working with a 3rd floor room and when I arrived the entrance had a sewage company parked right in front of the door I'll just put down to bad luck. Overall my stay, food and drinks were good but staffing (as everywhere) seems a problem. I recommend a Vöäske (beer) although I didn't see the cat the drink is named after.

Nice place to stay, very close to Maastricht (easy to reach Maastricht from p&r north). Breakfast was very good and staff was friendly. The welcome drink was also a nice surprise. It has a big parking with a few electric charges. Rating it 4 out of 5 just because of the 13.9 euro service charge (1 night 2 ppl), which they said was the city tax, but according to Maastrichts city website it should have been around 9 euros. I assume they charged more because we used a bongo voucher for the stay…

I was a volunteer here to keep the park and hotel tidy, it's a relaxing place to be.

With more than 12 meeting rooms, big screens, A/V equipment, free drinks, fruit & coffee, this historical hotel--a bit off the beaten track--can have multiple conferences, without you being disturbed.

Nice wide garden. Well renovated. With the nice weather we did eat outside, but I got a glimpse from the inner bar & restaurant. They did seem more comfortable with a niece ambience. The outside wasn’t so much. Main (vegetarian) plate was nice for a decent price tag. Desert wasn’t so tasty.

Nice place, awesome park, dog friendly. Although there is a fee for dogs, we received a pillow, a toy and a toy for the dog.

Cleaning staff was soo laut that we could not sleep or enjoy our stay in the morning.Although there is a note in the hall from the hotel itself: „please be aware that the other guests might be sleeping.Keep silence“

Nice hotel in a rural area near Maastricht. The building - a castle really - and its surroundings are historic: Dutch King Willem II owned it for a little while in the 19th century, as well as industrialist Petrus Regout. It is surrounded by a beautiful English Garden since the 19th century. I was hoping to stay in the old part of the building, but the guest rooms only exist in a modern add-on. Breakfast is good - self-serve with plenty of options - and food at the restaurant - in beautiful rooms in the old part of the building - is also good. You can take nice strolls around the castle in the English Garden with sculptures, fountains, ponds, trees and lots to see, including bee hotels, beehives, butterfly garden, chickens and llamas.

Again we had a great time with this place. When you are here you feeling that you are in the different world. Room are simple but clean, food is delicious (also vegan option) and friendly staff

Stayed here for 5 days. Hotel is gorgeous and surrounded by lots of green with pretty grounds. However there is a lack when it comes to service. Expect to be ignored and have long waiting times to even have someone give you a menu. They are super young staff who just openly look bored.

Fantastic place! Expected so much less thanks to the 3 star hotel but was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were great and clean. They have an amazing restaurant with very tasty food! The surrounding park is so beutiful. Only 15 min by bike from the center.

One of the best hotels I've ever seen. The rooms are very modern, the service is nothing out of the ordinary just great and good service. The location of the hotel is not far from the center by car and i recommend discovering and walking the hotel areas this place is amazing.
