A
bit
of
a
mixed
experience,
first
of:
grounds
and
interior
stunning!
Amazing
styling,
lovely
mix
of
old
and
new,
great
details
in
the
dining
area,
worth
exploring
the
several
public
areas
inside
the
mansion.
Lovely
terrace,
food
is
good,
although
drinks
are
a
bit
spendy.
Branding
is
excellent,
up
to
and
including
the
vaeshartelt
biscuit
that
comes
with
your
coffee.
Staff
young,
fun,
friendly
but
a
bit
disorganized.
You
can
see
all
efforts
went
into
branding
and
styling,
but
practically
there
are
some
improvements
to
make.
We
stayed
in
a
superior
room,
which
was
still
very
friendly
priced.
However,
the
rooms
(even
with
an
upgrade)
are
very
basic
and
small.
Very
humid
even
though
it
wasn’t
that
warm.
So
you
have
to
keep
your
patio
door
open,
which
was
an
invitation
to
the
many
many
insects
around.
Had
a
broken
night
because
of
several
mosquitos
having
a
feast,
no
where
to
hide
because
of
the
small
area.
This
could
be
easily
prevented
by
insect
screens.
Bed
is
rather
narrow
as
well.
Rooms
not
as
luxurious
as
the
rest
of
the
Buitenplaats
would
suggest.
Weird
mismatch
expectation-wise.
Dinner
was
nice
but
service
was
chaotic
and
desert
took
forever.
Overall,
would
recommend
for
a
visit
but
adjust
your
expectations.
