Uns halt alles gefallen. Betten, Zimmer, Frühstück, Ambiente und die Lage. Ein rundum gelungenes Wochenende in Maastricht und das nicht nur wegen dem tollen Wetter, sondern auch oder gerade wegen der Unterkunft. Unser Zimmer war schön groß und sehr geschmackvoll, wie übrigens das ganze Haus, eingerichtet. Alles mit viel Liebe zum Detail. Wir hatten ein Zimmer nach hinten und daher war es sehr ruhig. Das Frühstück wurde am Tisch serviert. Es gab aber alles, was man auch von einem Buffet gewohnt ist. Und immer wurden frische warme Leckereien aus der Küche gereicht. Personal, bzw. Eigentümer, immer sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Lage machte das Paket komplett. Max. 10 Minuten zur Innenstadt. Zur Info: es gibt keinen Fahrstuhl. Die Treppe sollte man nicht unterschätzen. Sie ist wirklich steil und schmal. Kenne ich aber von anderen historischen Häusern genau so und macht für mich auch einen Teil des Charmes aus.

Klein aber fein und sauber war unser Zimmer im ersten Stock dieses Hotels in der City von Maastricht. Zwei Nächte denen je ein individuelles und liebevolles Frühstücksbuffet folgte. Frischer Obstsalat, gepresster Orangensaft, Omelettes, verschiedene Brötchen- und Brotsorten. Ein Gruß aus der Küche vor und nach dem Frühstück runden diesen Start in den Tag ab und machen ihn perfekt. Der Service ist ausgezeichnet. Sehr empfehlenswert

Hetgeen we in ieder geval kunnen zeggen over deze plek is dat het een toplocatie is in het prachtige Jekerkwartier. Redelijk dichtbij kun je ook parkeren. De kamers zijn in orde (niet spectaculair), schoon en stijlvol. De douche op de derde etage had wel totaal geen druk erachter. We hebben een keer ontbeten en dat was ook prima. Maar dan komen we op klantgerichtheid en vriendelijkheid. De eerste avond kwamen we om 20.45 op onze kamer en we wilden een film kijken. We probeerden in te loggen op de wifi. Dit lukte niet. Om 21.00u belde ik naar het nummer dat ons aangereikt was. De dame in kwestie zei dat zij beneden was en geen problemen had. Ok, we proberen nog eens. Zonder resultaat. Dus een kwartiertje later belden we nog eens. De dame in kwestie was duidelijk geagiteerd. Ik vroeg of ik eens beneden kon komen om te kijken wat we wellicht fout deden. Ze snauwde dat ze al in bed lag.... Ik kreeg niet de kans om nog iets te zeggen want ze zei dat ze er dan wel aan kwam en gooide de hoorn erop. Mijn man is naar beneden gegaan. Daar snauwde madam verder 'dat ze niet wist hoe het met hem zat maar dat zij om 06.30u op moest om ontbijt te maken!'. Dat zij geen problemen had met de wifi. Waarop mijn man haar onze computer bood om in te loggen en dit ook niet lukte. Ze probeerde toen een ander netwerk (en ander password) en dit lukte wel. Aan het ontbijt gaf mijn man aan dat hij het al een zeer onprettig gesprek had ervaren. Zij gaf aan dat zij het ook onprettig vond. Daarna kwam er een tweede dame bij die begon over een ander netwerk dat niet van hen was, moeilijk moeilijk moeilijk.... UIteindelijk bood ze excuses aan (waarschijnlijk om andere gasten niet te storen). Beste dames, wij hadden bij u een kamer gehuurd met wifi. Wij ervaren problemen met inloggen en vragen op een zeer christelijk tijdstip uw advies. Moest u meteen aan de telefoon het andere netwerk hebben doorgegeven dan was het opgelost. Hoe het verder met uw netwerk of dat van de buren etc etc zit, is irrelevant voor een gast. Wij wilden gewoon even geholpen worden. Anyway, wij komen hier zeker niet terug. Room: spacious, with huge windows and high ceilings. Large double bed, wardrobe, desk, armchairs, full length mirror, TV (did not use), electric kettle, cups, tea and instant coffee provided. Bathroom with bathtub, soap, shampoo, hairdryer and bathrobe. Note there are no blackout curtains, not a problem in late October, but in the summer I would have been up at the crack of dawn. Breakfast (15eu) was good and varied, with pastries, cold meats, eggs (boiled and omelette), yoghurt, fruit salad… Now for the weird: I was travelling solo, and at breakfast they gave me the worst table 😬 I asked to change table (three other small tables available), but I was told this was the one person table. I was sat right next to the kitchen door, with personnel walking behind me all the time, making me uncomfortable and leaving the kitchen door open letting in the COLD drafty air 😬 I actually got up a few times to close the door, but they did not get the message, in fact it seemed they left it open on purpose 🤦‍♀️ Also, when pouring the coffee the lady said „you can help yourself to butter”, then when I did help myself she said „you can ask for more”, in the tone of a teacher scalding a child 😬 Frankly it put a damper on my whole morning and made me regret I booked the breakfast- lots of other lovely options available nearby, where you get to chose a table! I ended up with a lovely lady in one of the shops holding my bag for me. En het beste, brand schoon. De hele kamer en het hotel zijn overigens enorm schoon en super verzorgd. Met de nodige dingetjes op de kamer zoals zeepjes, shampoo, lotion, thee, koffie en water was deze kamer enorm compleet. Een dikke aanrader dus. Het ontbijt is super lekker en er wordt goed voor je gezorgd aan tafel. Koffie en thee zijn vers gemaakt en er wordt rijkelijk mee rond gegaan. Op het compacte, maar toch zeer complete ontbijt buffet is er voor ieder was wils. Bovendien is de ontbijtzaal ook een plaatje. De locatie maakt het geheel helemaal af. Absolutely AWESOME experience! Staff was amazing and even offered to let us park our "big American vehicle" in their private back lot for a small fee. We were in town for a Spartan Race, and the location was a 5 minute walk--right in the middle of everything. It really was the perfect "European experience."
