Absolutely beautiful venue. We were seated in 206 A seats 3 & 4. Perfect view! I am short so it’s hard for me to be on the floor. It was right up by the railing. The acoustics were perfect, I prefer small arenas over stadiums. There are bars on each floor and restrooms.

Was a great time! beautiful building with lots of lovely old details and an overall great atmosphere. The rooftop is beautiful and you should definitely go see it if you have the opportunity! (and to the guy with the gorgeous black hair and glasses who asked me if I'd been up there to see it, I will lament for the rest of my life that I didn't ask you out.) The people managing the event were some of the nicest people I've ever met! (To the guy who complimented my skirt, ily and I hope you are living your absolute best life.) Of course I'm sure this varies depending on what company is responsible for the event, but I highly recommend! I think you can make some great memories here :)

Such and awesome and unique venue. Great place to see a concert whether on the floor or balcony. Good views and acoustics. Bar tenders were especially nice! Overall great time!

I can't say enough about how much I love the Tabernacle. I have often stated that it is the best concert venue in the Southeastern United States (which it is) and last Saturday night reaffirmed that opinion. I brought my entire family down to Atlanta to see the Marvelous 3 for one of their three back-to-back, sold-out shows this past weekend. They absolutely killed it and Atlanta proved that it still loves the Marvelous 3, even after twenty-three years. The venue is well-managed and their simply is not a bad seat in the house. If I could, I would see every band that I love just once from this venue. I have been to A LOT of great venues but the Tabernacle is supreme.

We love this venue. It has an interesting history and is beautiful both inside and out. There isn't a bad seat in the house. The sound is great. They book great bands and comedians. For a little extra you can add access to the top floor to your ticket. It's nice because of the separate bar and bathrooms as well as roof access with a beautiful view.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I recently went to a concert there & I had a blast! I love that it's an old church turned concert venue. The sound is great & the atmosphere is so awesome! The staff is helpful if you need to ask a question & I only saw smiles & everyone having a wonderful time! The restrooms were a bit small, but they were clean! Thats more important to me! They were also well stocked so that was a plus also. Thank You to the staff & the Tabernacle for providing such a wonderful place to create great memories! Y'all are Awesome!!

Came to the Tabernacle for the first time for the Static-X/Sevendust show. The facility was nice, the sound was good. The merchandise line setup was disappointing (had to wait in line for all bands there vs the one you specifically wanted) though I'm not sure this was a fault of the venue. There were lots of places to get food and drink. Lines moved well and staff were friendly. Getting in to the venue was easy. The seats were quite cramped and not very comfortable. The sight lines were good. I'd definitely go back for more shows though I may opt to stand vs sitting.

I recently attended an appreciation party at this historic venue. The building itself is quite old, but it is well-maintained. There were multiple bars inside serving a variety of drinks, as well as food stations serving tacos, sliders, and other appetizers. The large stage hosted a live band throughout the evening, and there was a standing area below where people could dance and socialize. Overall, I had a great time at the appreciation party. The venue was unique and interesting, the food and drinks were good, and the live music was entertaining. I would definitely recommend this venue for corporate events or other special occasions.

I went to see Desi Banks. The Tabernacle is located in downtown Atlanta. I'd recommend Uber as the parking is limited and traffic crazy. As for the venue, you have to climb stairs to access the different sections. Ladies, if you wear heels, be prepared for that. It was a little hot in the place, so I suggest a portable fan. As for the actual show, lit!! Desi Banks put on a clinic. I laughed from start to finish. If you haven't seen him, I suggest you do. Money and time well invested 💯 💯 Worst part of the Tabernacle is leaving. You have to exit to an outside staircase, and everyone from different floors is exiting as well. It can get congested. Ladies, again, wear sneakers or a comfortable shoe. The stairs are unforgiving 😧 Floor and balcony are the best seats in the place.

Went here for Ali Wong last night and she didn’t disappoint. The venue was historic and had an old feeling (as it should) but it was clean and inviting. “The Room” opened an hour before show time and it was unique but not sure if it was worth $30 per person. They did have a small spread of food and private bar and bathrooms. There was a small roof top as well. There are bars and places to get drinks all over the place. Signage and security were plentiful and had an overall safe feeling there. There is security before getting in with metal detection as well.

Came here for a paramore show on 11/15/22! Beautiful and very unique venue! Staff was SO friendly for such a crowded event. They were very efficient in how they checked us all in. There’s a bar on every floor so that’s super convenient. We had mid balcony seats in one of the last rows and I still feel like I had a really good view! Balcony seats have very little room, and i did have to climb a lot of stairs! So if you have mobility issues I would recommend calling ahead to see if they can make any accommodations! Check their website FAQs as well! Very informative website. Overall I had a great experience and I hope to see another show here!

This is my favorite venue in the city. There is NO bad view and there are some wonderful artists that come here. While I've been to many shows here, my most recent visit to see Mt. Joy is what inspired me to leave this review. My husband and I had VIP tickets with access to the Room and it is WONDERFUL. You have a clean and private bathroom and bar and there's video footage of the concert playing. If you have anxiety, like me, and can get overstimulated it's an awesome place to just go to ground yourself for a few minutes. Also some of the better acoustics i've heard, especially for an older venue.

Always love going to a show here. The building is gorgeous and carries a magnitude to sit or stand in. Decent drink and food selection. Seats can get uncomfortable after a while. Good acoustics, I rarely have to wear earplugs here. Friendly staff.

This is my place of employment. I’ve worked here over 6 years. Nothing negative to say. I love our staff and the venue itself is just amazing. Not a bad seat in the house and the art everywhere is stunning. We often have some big people play too.

Very beautiful venue for life music, very well lit stages and the main stage has a slope on the general standing area which is an amazing idea to avoid not being able to see the stage with people right in front of you, the amenities are clean and properly maintained the staff is friendly just make sure which floor is your show, the main stage is on the second floor and the entries are not very visible for the different stages inside the venue so make sure you ask someone from staff where is your stage! There are like 8 parking spots in the front of the Venue which you can use for up to 4 hours, but they are mostly taken the paid parking lot around the venue is expensive so if you get early you might want to check out the spots in front of the venue and then look for parking lot.

Loved this place. Looks like an old Freemason Hall converted to a music venue. Full bar, snacks, a nice size merchandise area with huge TV screens and speakero you can still watch the show while you wait in line to buy a t-shirt. The sound was amazing, and there are 2 balconies above, but I didn't have access to those. Really really cool place and I will definitely go back next time there's a good show.

The Tabernacle is an absolute must visit venue. From the moment you step inside, you'll be blown away by its breathtaking beauty and rich history. The venue's stunning architecture, blending classic and contemporary elements, sets the stage for an incredible experience. The sound quality is absolutely top-notch, making every concert or performance truly immersive. The staff is warm, welcoming, and goes above and beyond to ensure your visit is seamless and enjoyable. With its fantastic sightlines and intimate atmosphere, you'll feel connected to the artists and fully engaged in the show. Went to the Falling in Reverse tour on Jan 13, 2022 and it was great. The venue is awesome. Bars and restrooms were accessible. I sat in section 206 seat 9 and had a perfect view for the show. Recommend to visit this place!!!!

Nice venue in the heart of Atlanta, we arrived by train to avoid the parking troubles. Overall pleased, although the seats are rather small and uncomfortable for a long show. Be mindful if you are in the balconies as there is a support piller that runs through at 3 different points near the middle.

Absolutely most awesome place ever to see a show! I've been so many times I can't even start to list off why it's the best.

My mom and I had a fantastic time at Tabernacle for a Grace Potter concert. Prior to the show I called to see what ADA accommodations were available for my mom. I had to leave a message, but received a call back later in the week assuring me there would be a space for folks to sit if needed. We got to the venue for a VIP pre-show and they helped to make sure my mom had a seat that she needed and that she was comfortable the entire time. The folks here were incredibly friendly and professional and it helped me to relax and enjoy the show.

I won tickets off of 104.1 to see Kerry Washington, and Tyler Perry. Tyler Perry asked her questions, and allowed the audience to ask Ms. Washington questions. It was amazing. Kerry Washington gave everyone a copy of her new book. Also, the tabernacle was easy to find. I found convenient parking with only a few steps from the door. There were quite a few people. The tabernacle reminds me of an old movie theatre or a theatre where plays are performed. It has an historic feel to it. It was a nice audience , and they served beverages such as alcohol, and drinks such as water, etc. I enjoyed it. My friend and I sat in the balcony. We were for about an hour and a half. Next door was the big Ferris wheel, centennial park, and so much more that was in walking distance. Also, we were in the heart of downtown.

Saw Blue October. Parking was super easy and convenient. Reserved seating was great instead of general admission. Accoustics were not the best, but it's a small venue. I would definitely put this on my list of easiest venues to navigate from start to finish. There are also a lot of food options close by.

Love this venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Great acoustics. Have been numerous times over the years, both for comedy and music performances. Parking, like everywhere else, is a chore unfortunately. I suggest rideshare.

Awesome acoustics. Live band sounded great! Not a bad seat in the house, although balcony seating is very steep.

Not a bad venue. Has a very cool vibe. The staff were friendly and helpful. Seating is kinda cramped but once the show started it was fine. Took a star off bc it needs a little freshening up but overall a great experience.

Gorgeous historic venue in downtown ATL. We flew in for a quick 24 hour trip to see The Marvelous 3 Reunion Show. The show sounded so good. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house.

Went to the Tabernacle years ago to see Ludacris. No major complaints. Architecturally interesting space with appropriate acoustics for a concert. Went back recently to see a live podcast: Small Town Murder, and oh my, how things had changed. The ceiling was leaking. The sound quality was positively terrible. The main floor had far too many people squeezed into the tight space however the balcony, where we were seated, had barely enough leg room for an elementary school child. There is no elevator, so be forewarned that you will have to dump into and then down some staircase or another. Not great if you're an older patron or if you wore heels. Ladies, wear comfortable shoes.

Went to the tabernacle for a James Blake concert. The venue was nice, the staff was great. It is a small to medium venue compared to stadiums. It was a cozy, intimate space and feel. The concert was phenomenal.

Went to see Grouplove July 7th. The venue is so cute! We got lower balcony seats. Great view just unlucky as the tall people in front of us obstructed our view most of the show. Clean restrooms and multiple bars. The AC was broken but so worth it. The security girl was very nice to point us to our seats!

This structure has a lot of historical integrity. The sound quality was pretty good, but the main floor gave me claustrophobia with the bodies smashed in tight from the stage to the door. The Lounge was worth the investment, but there's no elevator, so if you have stiff joints or are not able to climb stairs, don't opt for that purchase. My only concern was being outside & the vibration from the bands shook the windows above the smoking patio & the metal stairs leading to the terrace are oxidizing due to water that doesn't seem to run off of it and it won't be long before the metal becomes brittle and a hazard. The staff was pleasant from security to bartenders to ushers. I look forward to returning next weekend for Ministry, FLA, & Gary Numan.

One of my favorite venues in Atlanta, and have been to many shows here. Staff is helpful, parking is readily available less than a block away or around the venue, and the place gets ROCKIN' if you see the right bands. The sloped floor is great because even a short-stack like me can get a good enough view almost anywhere inside. (Get a front-row spot for an unforgettable view if you can)

We visited Tabernacle to attend a The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. The venue is beautiful but could use more restrooms. The venue has no dedicated parking garage but we easily found a space 2 buildings over. Also I’m unsure if there are elevators because they led everyone up several flights of stairs. If you have mobility issues check with the venue 1st to make sure you can be accommodated before booking. Other that the show was fantastic!

  • 5/5 Robyn L. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful venue, excellent drinks and vibes. Acoustics are great and every seat is a good seat. Only concern is dancing on one of the balcony levels, seems dangerous. I like to dance better buy a ticket in the pit!

Fantastic venue to see a show in Atlanta. Old church converted into a music venue. Although the seating in the balconies is cramped. If you are tall your legs will be jammed against the front aisle of seats. Try to get the first row of seats if you are in the balcony.

I went to see the Kaleo concert. This was our first time at the tabernacle. The venue was terrific. It is a historic building, and the layout is easy to navigate. I also appreciated the seating availability in addition to the floor. We bought tickets for seats, and it was the best decision. I am 5'2" and always struggle to see in general admission. The seats were on a pretty steep slant, so I could even see over the heads of the people sitting in front of me! They have bars located throughout the venue, so you don't have to travel far or wait in one long line. They even had food!

We went to LP’s concert here and it was fun. They serve drinks during the performance at the salons which I think it’s fun. Their sound system is too loud for the size of the hall/room and it didn’t let us to enjoy the show to it’s fullest. Maybe they need to do some adjustments.

I went to the Tabernacle for the James Blake tour. The entire event was fantastic from beginning to end. It was my first time going to that location and attending a James Blake tour. I can definitely tell say that staff was extremely helpful and polite. They were very patient when I had technical issues with managing tickets (which was super embarrassing). James did an amazing job with his performance and not to forget he's such a sweet guy. He made the show very personal and touching.

Awesome Venue in a great location. Friendly staff. Only issue was their ATM being out of service on a concert night and to purchase merchandise it was cash only.

  • 4/5 Jason B. 2 years ago on Google
This venue in an older, historic setting and is really good for a medium sized crowd. The biggest thing detracting from the experience is the parking, which is extremely disorganized. Temporary issues like construction and covid don't play into this review, because those have no real bearing on the venue.
