The restaurants is very small and very loud. We sat down and it took 10 minutes for anyone to take our drink order. Once we were waited on we put in the food and drinks together. Our waitress, did not get her name, could not get our drinks places with the appropriate. Our party of four ordered our meals. My husband ordered baked spaghetti. All of the food came out except for my husbands baked spaghetti. Our waitress (short, skinny, brown short haired woman) said she forgot to put his order in. When it came out after the rest of us were finished with our meals it had large macaroni noodles. My husband asked for it to be made again with spaghetti noodles like the menu states. The waitress got visibly agitated but took it back. When she brought it back my husband asked for some compensation. The manager agreed to comp the meal. When the waitress brought the separate checks for each couple, she took them back and then ran them on one credit card. When questioned about it she said there was no way to separate them. She got verbally agitated when my husband took them to her at the computer and laid her hands on my husband. When I approached them to try and help with the communication she walked by me and pushed my shoulder. I told her that she was incompetent and she screamed in her restaurant that she was going to call the police. Not sure what type of establishment this manager is running but I would not patronize this restaurant. This employee needs to be fired.

We ate at restaurant. Did not stay in motel part. Disappointed. Service was slow because only 1 person was bartending, serving and busing tables. Fish was greasy. Baked potato was dry and hard. We recently tried eating here again and everything is muched improved. The waitress was excellent. The food was enjoyed by everyone in our group.

Call and check hours, the Google hours say it closes at 8 but when we were there they closed at 9. They have been trying to get it changed. Good food, definitely get their famous White fish plank dinner. It was delicious. Our server was lovely and there is a parking lot right next to the restaurant.

We went for dinner. We expected it to be good food and good service for the money. Waitress only showed up once. We had to go get our refills for our beverages ourselves. YouTube lack of experience in a server. When we had a problem with the food that might as well have come out of walmart's frozen section, there was no manager to speak to, and the bartender was extremely aggressive and explaining that it's not her problem

Google does not understand this is a restaurant, lol. We've gone to Village Inn at Mackinaw Island as well. I'm not sure if the portions got smaller at all locations, but the plank broiled white fish dinner is much smaller in St. Ignace. The plank itself is about half the size it used to be, fewer vegys, just a breath of potatoes, and a smaller filet. I was disappointed. I was hungry, but it was just as good!! Really good! The waitress was really good, very friendly and did a great job. We'll be back. We love the U.P.!!

Stopped here for supper, and was pleased with the choice! Planked whitefish was great. Fried pickles. Chocolate cake desert was a nice finish. Friendly, attentive staff, and cozy atmosphere. This was my first time dining in St Ignace, so I can't compare to other local establishments, but I would recommend the Village Inn.

My boss, his wife, and I stopped in here for food. It was not a disappointment!! Very wonderful service, our waitress named Andi, Was a lovely lady. Her and my boss chatted about his service in the military. Overall, an amazing and great gal! We ordered the white fish dish (what they are famous for!) It did not disappoint and was both very good and very filling. The dish was made up very nicely (in my opinion, it was beautifully made up). If you're a history nut like us you'd the vintage/old photos decorated around the restaurant. All I believe are of the area over time. Overall it was a great place to stop in!!!!

Disappointed this time around. I ordered the plank whitefish with duchess potatoes and vegetables. There were no duchess potatoes on the plank, just one chunk of carrot (literally one small chunk) and a few green beans. The whitefish was good. When I asked the waitress where were the potatoes, she said "oh you didn't get them?" She told me I couldn't get the duchess potatoes but I could get a baked potato because that was what was in her computer system for her to order. The old fashion was super sweet as if there was soda (pop) in it and I didn't even taste the bourbon. Usually this place does a better job with food and service.

We ate at the restaurant. The service was great, but the food wasn’t the greatest. Got the chili con queso with no chili. Not sure if I would call the cheese, queso. Maybe more of a cheese paste, but it tasted all right. Had the meal they are “known for.” It was instant mash potatoes and fish was very fishy tasting…. Maybe because we came at the end of season and the food was older 🤷‍♀️.

We came in here for lunch. It took about 10 minutes for anyone to come to our table. We got there before the rush after the rush they were continuing let people seat themselves. We saw at least three tables leave. After our food came we never saw our waitress again until we had to find her to get our bill and pay it. I understand it was busy but they should not have let people seat themselves if they didn't have the servers to accommodate. There were two inexperienced waitresses serving the whole resturant and bar.
