This is a perfect hotel for a short stay if you need a place to rest and eat good food between connecting flights. Its location is 10 minutes away from the airport and it also offers a nice Spa. The staff is very welcoming and speaks English. Recommended.

Great restaurant. Best place close to the airport

I can rate only the restaurant in the hotel. We didn’t stay there. We had two lunches there and I really liked their food. We ordered fish dishes and desserts. All I liked. The service was bad the second time, the waiters service is not well coordinated, our table was served with different people and always they ask and forget… our coffee was delayed for 30 minutes, so we ate our desserts without it, was not nice… anyway we reduced their tips for that.

Comfortable hotel with a good restaurant close to the airport. Pool and the restaurant area can be a bit too busy during the weekend.

All the staff are wonderful. The gift shop is curated with locally produced gifts, spices, cashmere, hats. The soft furnishing are local, thoughtful and looked after but the hotel itself and bedrooms are v. tired. Needs painting and furniture fixing/updating. The mosquitos in our room were horrendous. It didn’t help that the front door to the bedroom didn’t close properly - it was old, ill-fitting and had no seal - so it left a big gap which we had to stuff with a dressing gown and several cushions. We raised concern with reception and they quickly sprayed the room with insect killer but there were still several under the mosquito net over the bed and 20+ in the bedroom and bathroom after dinner. We must have killed 50+ in total. Understood there are mosquitoes in Tana and to help guests have a good nights sleep, the hotel needs to clean the walls and ceilings where previous guests have squashed mosquitos, fix all the bedroom doors and provide each room with mosquito spray.

An excellent Hotel and restaurant located a short drive from the airport. The hotel has a shuttle bus going to and from the airport. There is also a spa available with prior booking, a shop with Madagascan products. The restaurant serves a great range of dishes and accompanying drinks including wines.

Nice hotel with great rooms. Food was good. My only complaint is the service. It’s a 4-star hotel, and with that comes the expectation that service would be great. We pay a lot of money expecting great service. Well, the service was subpar. They called my husband while I was out demanding that we pay for the room for my sister’s instantly. I explained to the receptionist the night before that I will pay for her room when I check out. My sister checked out before me and they said they needed us to pay while I was out running errands. did not appreciate my husband being bothered while he napped and me having to rush back to pay these people. This was an inconvenience. If I didn’t explain in advance that my sister is leaving before us, then I get it. But we discussed it the night before. I would’ve happily paid for her room the night we checked in or the morning she checked out while I was getting my breakfast. But no one said anything until the afternoon. Also, when we checked out, I’d asked to be taken to the airport at 11:30 am, for a 2:40 pm flight. I know it’s a bit early but I have some concerns with my paperwork and wanted to make sure I arrive to the airport while in advance. The front desk people said the shuttle is not leaving until 12 pm since there are other people sharing the shuttle with us. We ended up taking alternative transport for fear that we might have issues checking in at the airport due to my paperwork. I just wish that the team at Relais des Plateaux worked with customers better. This hotel is 3 times more expensive than other hotels in the area. With that price point, please consider customers requests and listen to them.

Overall, a rather disappointing experience. 1. Sheets were worn out with a blanket that had no cover 2. Cold reception 3. Cold pool 4. Correct catering Too expensive for the service it offers compared to other hotels in the city of the same standard, does not deserve its 4 stars

The room is good. I faced the problem is no options for lacto- vegetarian. Eventually they offered me an eggplant dish only, didn’t serve rice. so, I couldn’t eat the dish.

Relaid des Plateaux Hotel and Spa far exceeded our expectations for Antananarivo accommodations. All aspects of our 3 different stays were lovely and so appreciated. Abundantly comfortable beds, rooms, amenities; extremely kind staff; and outstanding meals throughout the day. Airport shuttle was also very convenient. Many thanks to all staff and management! I live and work in Madagascar. Relais is my go to hotel. Staff are extremely helpful and the hotel is well organized and a great place to relax with a nice pool, spa, etc. Food is consistently good (French style cuisine with some western options). Complimentary airport shuttle makes transport to and from the airport easy. Relais is also close to the airport which avoids having to worry about traffic in town. Having tried a number of other hotels in Tana, Relais is one of the best.

Nice place, could do with refurbishment. Clearly it had better days.

I really enjoyed my stay - comfy beds, great breakfast buffet and generally good restaurant. Added bonus are the nice pool area and on-site Spa. Would stay again during lay-overs !

Ate there for dinner with friends last night. Portions were very small, food was bland, and the cordon Bleu was so dry I could barely swallow it. Very disappointing

This is a nice hotel, with friendly staff, good rooms, and convenient to the airport. My luggage was lost by the airline and there were no offers to help from the front desk until I asked them to call. That's fine I guess since it is technically for me to sort out but I've had better experiences elsewhere. Finally, I suspect this applies to all hotels in Tana right now but the three guys who walked me the < 50m from the airport building to the hotel's transfer van were overly aggressive for "tips". I don't think they were hotel employees but if they were they should be reprimanded because the last thing a traveler needs is three guys confronting them outside the airport at 1am after a long flight.

I spend there 4 nights on March 22. Best place to stay. The staff is so friendly, food is perfect and the Spa is so nice to have as a plus. Shuttle to the airport was on time. I highly recommend this place, as it's near the airport and kind of oasis, where you can stay and relax some days.

Beautiful hotel located in Antanarivo Close to the airport. Shuttle service available to the airport makes this a great stopover location or overnight. There is a wonderful spa area and large pool. The rooms are clean and well updated. The dining is excellent. Exceptional French cuisine at very reasonable prices. The pool area is well maintained and perfect for cooling off during the day heat.

We stayed at the hotel 31/12/20 to 2/01/21.Very cool atmosphere for a 31st December. We went for diner early and most of the tables were already booked. I ordered a "Filet de Merou" - very tasty and refined fish. Sent compliments to the cook. Personnel friendly and welcoming. Room tidy and reasonable quality internet connection. Hotel is convenient located very close to the airport and away from busy city centre traffic.
