Amazing island

The Ile Sainte Marie lies off the east coast of Madagascar. The island’s array of protected bays and inlets drew pirates to Ile Sainte Marie during the 17th and 18th centuries, and the wrecks of several pirate ships can still be viewed from the shallow waters of the Baie des Forbans. Today the island is one of the top tourist attractions in Madagascar. The still, clear waters of the island’s bays make ideal spots for snorkeling. Migrating humpback whales visit the island waters during summer and early fall.

Exotic Madagascar, often referred to as the "vanilla island" of late, is becoming increasingly popular with tourists. And this is well deserved, since the island amazes travelers with an interesting history, unique flora and fauna. The island's beaches are as beautiful and varied as the rest of the island, from rocky shores with sharks to white coral sand.

Awesome. Just breathtaking. Beautiful island with clean water. Rocks are very edgy and sharp. Beware of injury from sea rocks while diving or bathing. Water current is strong. Follow instructions of security men. Lot of small crab and scorpions are there. So watch out. Boat ride from malpe beach to the island is fun. One hour time allotted by officials for island hopping. Hae fun stay safe.

As beautiful as islands get and the best part is basically no tourists. But its bigger than you think.

One of the most beautiful places on Earth. An pristine "must visit" destination! Accommodation is possible in beach bungalows along the shoreline.

Nice island. Not too crowded. Not a lot to do, good for a few days. Go whale watching during the season.
