It encourages a child to probe new horizons. It directs children into constructive and worthwhile pastimes. It moulds them into sound citizens of the future.Besides the galleries a fountain operated by solar power and water pumping unit operated by windmill, the life size Tyrannosaurus and Stegosaurus fibre glass models are the added attractions of the Children's Museum. Visitor facilities such as see through lift and a ramp way for physically handicapped visitors are available. It is a place where education is recreation and recreation is education.

It is for sure a regular government museum, if you have been to one before. Cheap, clean, decent exhibits. We enjoyed it because it was a weekday visit after heavy rains, giving a cool walk with not much crowd and many interesting things for the kiddo to see. At 15/- including the main museum and lots of open shades spaces, its a killer offer for time pass with family and kids. 4-star because of the AR and other interactive exhibits, not 5-star as the rest were old fashioned stuff.

    - Has a very good Collection of various cultural models in India and across the globe. - The children’s play area needs maintenance - Cleanliness needs improvement - Old artifacts in the basement covers technology as well. - Children’s will get exposure to multiple fields - New artifacts could be added - It’s worth visiting this place for children

Museum is so vast . So many things to look into . Sadly it is in bad shape due to poor maintenance. It is extremely mesmerising for children to see and learn. They can get tired . Carry water , wear comfortable footwear as u gotto walk alot. Tickets are very economical and they have vehicle parking too

The museum is nice and clean. Fun to take kids on historical memory boats. There are numerous old war collections (weapons, guns, and cannons), as well as uncovered documents, artwork, and sculptures. In the heart of the city, enjoyable time is passed. The absence of public restrooms is the only thing that annoys me about the overall experience. It is there but is not accessible to the public. A nice area to spend a holiday for people of all ages.

Very well maintained museum. Our kids just loved the dinosaur and animals zone. Arms and ammunition is another interesting place which they liked so much. Overall a great place to explore and know about our history!

This is a good place for kids to learn about...old things? The displayed items are outdated. The place is not well maintained. There's a playground at the back portion of the museum which is rundown and pose safety risk. Good thing about this place, it's free. Only good thing I experienced was the staff there were quite friendly. Nothing special and can be skipped.

Museum is neat and tidy. Fun to have kids in memory boat of past histories. Many old collections of war (weapons, guns, cannons), unearthed articles, drawings, photos, sculptures. Good time pass in the middle of the city. Just one thing to which irks the total experience is the lack of toilet facility for public. It is there but not opened to public. 😬 Nice place for all ages to spend their vacation.

It's located in heart of Chennai city in egmore area. The ticket price is only rs.15, you get access to children museum and another 5 sections in the museum like modern art, police museum, Indian independence etc which are housed in separate building blocks.

Very informative and educational museum for all age. The cultural dress code displaces are awsome. In the basement mostly art and craft works are displayed and in the ground floor science & technology related articles are kept like old printing press. Needed maintenance and new technological equipments and robotic items to advance the knowledge of the kids who are visiting.
