Used to an excellent place 5 years back now the lake is polluted. However still is a good place to visit. If you have a dog, they will love this place. Tons of space to run around

One of the largest lake in this area which dates back to the chola regime. Lake has a connecting canal with Lord. Dhenupureeswarar temple that was built by Paranathaga Cholan. Huge lake which has been shrunk to a mere 240 acre lake now is a huge water body that helps in restoring the ground water of Madambakkam area. Having not been desilted for many decades, the volume has been phenomenally reduced. Great place to admire beauty of the nature.

The biggest lake in Madambakkam. Mostly it won't dry. This lake keeps our area some what chill. During the times of flood because of this lake we were not affected by the flood. It connects Madambakkam and Vengaivasal-Santhoshapuram main road. Some farming lands are around madambakkam with the help of this madambakkam lake. Good source for irrigation purpose to the farm lands. This lakes increases the ground water level in our area. During the drought time this lake was very helpful. Because of this lake people were not affected by drought. Fishing is also possible in this lake. Small to big size fishes can be fished. Gives a good view to the in and around apartments and flats. Many parks and gardens are around this lake.

Good for short time stops. Only for adults. Not a good place for children.
