Finally, a vegan restaurant has arrived in this area! Vegan or not you will LOVE this food, real comfort food. 😋 Very cosy inside too. The Guinness shake was to die for. Our dog was welcome too. Will definitely come back!

Best vegan place I’ve ever been to, and I’m not even vegan! The staff are so awesome, and the food is AMAZING!! The ice cream, apple pie, and burgers - and cocktails are 10/10!! Will definitely be back…. 🙌

Visited as a group of 9. We mostly had burgers and fries. The first few bites were tasty, but the food was very salty and left a strong salt taste in my mouth for the rest of the afternoon. The veg patty on the burger was decent but far from being great. The fries were soggy and way too salty. Cool decor inside, but the basement was a bit dreary. Service was friendly but a little incompetent. Many of us ordered milk shakes, but it took the staff 30 minutes before they admitted the ice cream machine wasn't working and cancelled the orders. We were mostly done with our meals at that point. Overall it felt overpriced for what we got.

Always a delight to eat here. I can’t recommend enough. Everything is amazing And now Deliveroo brings it to my doorstep

A memorable place to visit if you like plant based food. The front of Genesis overlooks beautiful Broomfield park. There is also a larger dining room at the back which has a cool 1980s New York warehouse vibe with amazing artwork lit up in light boxes on the walls. Very atmospheric in the evenings. You may recognise many of the neon lights and light boxes from the old site in Shoreditch that were transported here when they moved. It’s a bit surprising to see something this cool in suburban North London! The food is world fusion, burgers, pizzas and bowls mostly and a few bean stew dishes. The pretty mylkshakes served in Genesis branded glass bottles are a highlight.

Banging food! Great to have such variety in taste, texture and options of vegan food. I love the inspiration from various world foods plus the famous deserts, soft serve and milkshakes made it over to the new location from the original store in shoreditch. Music always brings good vibes. I’d given my compliments to the lady at the tills and the head chef personally came out to the front of the restaurant and I was able to thank for her for the delicious food. All in all a brilliant experience- so glad I stopped by. I’m looking forward to being able the expansion of the seating area for more dine in fun as I travelled from Greenwich to support the new location which is quite far but well worth it !

This place is awesome, visited today for lunch, great food, lovely staff and reasonably priced. They’ve also extended out the back for really nice extra dining in space. Love it!

So good. I really think this is the best vegan cheese I’ve ever tasted. The staff were friendly, the food was cooked fast, the Genesis burger was SO good. I do think the portions were slightly small, in that it’s not a very big burger so even with fries you may still be hungry. But really loved it. Bonus points for the awesome interior design.

I very very rarely give 5 stars but this deserves. Ultimate vegan junk food heaven. Huge extensive menu and I sampled a lot. Food came fast. Staff were every helpful with nut allergy. Highly recommended.

This was a amazing surprise. This place is perfect, food amazing and fast, everything we got in the table was 5 starts. And the staff and very very friendly, make the whole experience even better and they are dog friendly :3

Kimchi Pancakes!!! Sweet salty crunchy fluffy moist deliciousness. I would go back in a heart beat. The choc nut smoothie is also breast milk from the vegan gods. True soul food that will readjust your vibrations! 🌱💜🔱♻️🔙🔜🏴‍☠️

We loved visiting Genesis! All vegan food and the most charming team. The food was super yummy and the portions are huge! Would be good if they were maybe a little smaller to reduce food waste. The team working there are fab. Absolutely adored the experience. The secret dining room at the back is absolutely lovely and has a great atmosphere to enjoy your meal. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely be returning. We had the burgers, chips, mac & cheese and milkshakes are currently 241 for veganuary- and they are dreamy good!

DELICIOUS, healthy and vegan. I had the redefined meat flank buddha bowl and it was the yummiest “meat” I had ever had. They have fresh squeezed juices and tasty deserts. I highly recommend!

Came to london and found this little gem by chance, what a beautiful vibe, the staff were lovely really welcoming all smiling and just giving off them good vegan vibes!! The food was delicious, and really reasonably priced, the cocktail was delish, 10/10 all round, GO ….. you won’t be disappointed:)

Love this place, love the food!!

It's my second time here and I got disappointed for the second time.The food is below average and the prices are fairly high for what you get. The service is very poor, it took us a long time til we got the waiter to take our orders and a ridiculously long time to get our bill and pay. We ordered water with our order and we didn't end up getting any. On top of that, they add 12.5% service charge to the bill for the worst service charge at a vegan place you'd ever get. Not a single time someone has come up to ask how's everything. At the very end the waiter supposedly saw that we weren't very happy so he tried to bribe us with a portion of ice cream. Never coming back.

Amazing restaurant. Such a cool and unique interior. The food is amazing especially the Shawarma. The drinks range is great. Lots of variety and good quality beverages. Their desserts are so nice as well. The Tiramisu is outstanding!

Very good vegan food

Such great experience, visiting London my friend brought me to his favourite spot. Had the vegan cheese sticks and vegan chicken burger, was delicious. Not a vegan and this felt like the real deal. Great team and great service

Not just an Insta "aesthetic" venue but a crescendo of vegan and gluten-free options to gorge upon. A bit under-staffed but our servers were genuine heroes.

Went to this restaurant with a friend new to vegan food and we were very positively impressed! We ordered different things as we wanted to try many things: deep fried aubergine and cauliflower for starters, which were delicious. One burger each and a tiramisú to share. The tiramisú was the highlight of the meal for me, and my friend was very impressed with the options and enjoyed all of it. The service was impeccable, very attentive and friendly. The bill was somewhat experience but at the end of the day, we ate well and enjoyed our time there. Would recommend.

So after a disappointing first visit due to food being out of stock and us arriving at a super busy time we were adament to give it another go and well, we were super happy we did The food is absolutely gorgeous and reasonably priced for the portion sizes Fantastic flavours and came away feeling completely satisfied with our meal! We arrived maybe 10 minutes after it opened for an early lunch and had a really friendly waiter The Korean bbq seitan were the highlight of the meal for me and I wait to go back!

Looooooved Genesis so much! The aesthetic of the restaurant was incredible, legit couldn’t stop saying how cute it was, even the toilets. The staff seemed really nice too. We ordered the shawarma and Mayan dog - shawarma was verrrry good, little spicy but my friend was filled fully from it. The 4* is because the hot dog was just a bit too coriander friendly for my liking and the sausage was a bit cold but otherwise really enjoyed it! Defo going to return for the chicken burger or something next time. (Bit expensive too lmao)

Amazing food. Go even if you're not vegan!! It's so yummy. The nachos are so fresh tasting. The burger is great and really filling. The staff are very friendly and the decor is fun!!

✓ All Vegan Establishment WHAT WE HAD (2 pax): Smoked Chorizo Taco [£4.00] – Smoked chorizo, tomatillo salsa, potatoes & Pico de Gallo on soft corn tortilla; Char Kway Teow [£9.50] – Brown rice noodle & stir fried vegetables with spicy black bean sauce; Shawarma [£9.50] – Seitan Doner, Persian Salad, Green Tahini Sauce, Pickles, Garlic Sauce & Chili Sauce in Pita; Chocolate Milkshake [£5.95] The interesting menu with a mix of international flavours along with the good online reviews piqued my interest. However, to me, it didn’t live up to the hype and expectation. Most of the food was served lukewarm, and the portions were small. I’m from Penang, Malaysia (known for our Char Koay Teow) so I was quite excited to get a taste of home that was Vegan! However, it didn’t taste like Char Kway Teow to me. It was missing the smoky char, fat (greasiness), spice and much more. I guess my problem is more on them calling it Char Kway Teow, because as a fried rice noodle dish, it is ok, but it is just no Char Kway Teow. Still, it isn’t something I would pay £9.50 for. With the small portion of veg noodles. The smoked chorizo taco was overall quite bland. The smoked chorizo was disappointing (I was expecting it to be more flavourful) and the tortilla was dough (maybe not heated up long enough?). The kind of enjoyed the Shawarma with the green tahini sauce. Still, it could use more flavour and my friend said he's had better vegan Shawarma. The chocolate milkshake was more like chocolate milk to me, could be thicker and creamier. It wasn’t too busy during my visit, yet the service was slow and inattentive with them forgetting 2 of items from our orders that we had to go upstairs to remind them and neglecting/forgetting to bring us things upon request (i.e. cutlery and such). The décor is flashy and aesthetically interesting with pink chairs, white tiles, gold accents and warm lighting which gives off a fun and youthful vibe. Overall, poor customer service, mediocre food and small portions, I don’t see myself coming back to Genesis for seconds. Being in the Shoreditch area, you can definitely find similar vegan food that is cheaper and better.

The food was great! I really enjoyed the Genesis burger and Mac & cheese and against all odds - because I absolutely hate coconut - the ice cream sundae - it was hard to believe it was plant-based! Staff was very friendly and I can’t wait to go back to try more things 🥰.

What a great place! Firstly, the food is wonderful. This is a carribean take on vegan food, which I haven't seen anywhere else. It's interesting, bold, and well executed. I was very impressed by the vegan "flank steak" which wad chewy and stingy abd came with a wonderful array of flavors and veggies. The curries are great, especially the red bean curry with little dumplings. I also enjoyed the cocktail, which was prepared very meticulously. Prices are also pretty darn good, considering this is very flavorful, fun, vegan food. It's clear the place is still in its infancy. The service was extremely friendly and nice, but it was hard to get attention and cutlery. The music was perhaps a tad too loud, and the air conditioning too strong. The seating is still not quite ready for a full restaurant. But they're working on it! I can't wait to come again and upgrade the review one their teething issues are sorted.

My visit at Genesis was exceptional. What a gem! Although I’m not vegan myself, the food was so fresh and tasty. Various options to choose from. The match milkshake was one of the best I had. On top of that, the staff was so friendly and attentive. I recommend this place 100% and we’ll definitely be back:)

Amazing vegan and healthy food, priced fairly and the service was excellent. I very much enjoyed the creativity of the menu, mostly Korean/ Jamaican food. The ingredients were new to me and the person working there was very knowledgeable to chat with me about all the health benefits

10/10 absolutely banging vegan food. Me and my friend came before seeing fred again at ally pally and honestly it is some of the best vegan food I've ever had. I got the jerk burger Mac and cheese and their spiced chips. Every single item was genuinely amazing. Those chips especially so spicy to die for. Bit of a spice fiend and although didn't have a hot sauce on the menu the chef very kindly and unexpectedly whipped up a quick one for me she must be an amazing natural chef because one of the best hot sauces I've had and it came out quick aha. Service was good not fine dining level or anything but really friendly down to earth kinda vibe which i prefer. Also the afrobeat music topped it off couldn't stop boogieing in my seat. Whole experience completely faultless look forward to when I'm in the area again to try some more on the menu. Big thanks again to the chefs.

Everything was incredible. Service fab/ food out of this world. Adhered to social distancing and government guidelines for corona virus. Seems like a very good place to work in terms of caring for staff and customers.

Looove this place!! So many awesome dishes that you didn't quite expect at a 100% vegan restaurant. Every single one of them was awesome - especially the different Tacos and vegan Hot Dogs! Atmosphere is very cool and fun as well.

Visited with high expectation, the service was amazing, all staff is welcoming and attentive. The food was a slightly disappointment. Cheeze balls are nice, I personally didn’t enjoy the mac&cheeze much and the tacos were ok.

Good food, great atmosphere, dealing with the covid restrictions well, downstairs has a bit of a damp smell. Otherwise amazing.

Chic vegan dining - a fast food heaven for vegans. The restaurant markets itself as serving “fast” food, but all dishes are prepared in a healthy way and everything is organic, so you can guarantee that what you’re consuming is quality. You can’t even tell it’s vegan! Place is popular for the burgers but trying the tacos is a must! The jackfruit hoisin taco is absolutely delicious 😊

Great vegan food!

Went here in February for our anniversary and both of us have been craving it ever since, best food I've had at any restaurant, probably would have visited many times since if not for lockdown!

Without a doubt the food we had eaten in a while. We aren't vegans but if we could eat food like that every day we sure would be. It's hard to make vegan/veggie food taste like meat or make you not miss meat and this place has got it down to a T. We've said now whenever we go to London we will eat here. Super delicious! I had to woman burger and raspberry milkshake and hubby had the tacos, the 'kebab' and the lemony lemonade

Was not sure about the restaurant;however, after visiting with my wife, we loved the food and service, everything was delicious, highly recommended to visit!

Seitan Chicken was fantastic. Highly recommend the Korean wings, they are bigger than the chicken burger (much better value too). The Mac and cheese and chips were fairly average. Great smoothies. Interesting interiors

Wow. Seriously incredible food!!!!!!! Vegan junk food can often be heavy and over the top, but Genesis got it just right. I didn't think kimchi and fries would be a good combination but it was AMAZING! Truly unique and sensational food. Can't wait to go back

Fantastic vegan food

Very good! I went here with my Mum twice this weekend since she was visiting, and each time it was really great service and the best food. I've walked past the front quite a bit, and didn't even realise it was a vegan place until this weekend. The atmosphere was really chill, and the menu had so many options, so there was a lot to choose from. The staff were really really excellent too, so kind and very helpful with everything. You guys are doing a great job. Will definitely visit Genesis again, highly recommended!

Amazing food, bit expensive though

The place, customer service and menu is great and have been a few times with friends yet, a few dishes came cold on our last visit and when we sent it back, less food came back and we could see how the chef in the kitchen didn’t seem to agree with it being cold or less portion than what was initially served. The kimchi fries are a bit overpriced in my opinion, it’s basically fries, a simple sauce and two bits of kimchi.

I stumbled across this place whilst searching for a late vegan lunch. Great food, especially the patacones bowl, and a cool alchemy/ American diner themed interior. Also much better value for money than a lot of places in London. Only wish they were easier to find on maps!

Food was standard vegan burger and fries that you can find elsewhere. Vegan chicken wings was more vegan ribs. Service was below average. They didn't seem very happy and were quite moody and snappy with each other. Had to wait a long time to order something from the menu as well as to pay. Food did come very quickly though.

Nice for the novelty factor but very salty, and not amazing. That said, the "duck" (jack fruit) stuff is nice.

Amazing Vegan food- however, they can not cater for coeliacs so please do not go if you are coeliac. I have visited twice and let the kitchen know both times that I am GF and have become ill both times. After the first visit I gave the benefit of the doubt, but the second time made me far more ill. I spoke with a member of staff over email who apologised which whilst I do appreciate I hope that they now inform coeliac customers that there is cross contamination.

Very good service and food. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The cocktail prices are a tad high but make up for it with the taste. Not too many food options but would definitely go there again just for their amazing milkshakes. We had the kimchi fritters, Vietnamese mushrooms, fries and margherita pizza. Kimchi fritters are a little dry without sauce, everything else tasted amazing.
