The food was pretty good but the staff were really rude. Their internet was down so we had to go to an ATM to get cash. Our meal came to £21 and I didn't have any change so the woman serving us complained that I was taking all their change. Sorry, but it's not my fault that your internet is down. Our table was dirty so I had to ask for it to be cleaned. The woman serving was not happy despite the fact that the place was quiet and she was chatting to her co-worker. When our food was ready, our number was called out but both servers had their back to me so I had to ask if our food was ready and where to get cutlery. The server was quick to tell me where to put our dirty dishes when we're finished though. Shocking service and I will not be going back, which is a shame because the food is pretty tasty. The Victoria branch of Cool Daily is much better. The staff actually look you in the eye and smile at that branch. If you want to try Cook Daily, I would suggest you go to the Victoria location.

I’m not going to over complicate this review. It’s a MUST visit! Regardless of you’re dietary requirements, the food here bangs, it’s fresh, tasty and healthy for you! Also the staff are super friendly, the beer is locally brewed and the dining environment is rad!

Food is great I had the BBQ dish, but service can improve. Note to staff/management: When a customer walks in you should make eye contact and greet them and make them feel welcome. I came in to the team having a conversation and not one of them looked my way, I proceeded to sit down, no one approached me and finally I decided to get up and approach them to ask for the toilets and that is when I was treated like I was not invisible. I've worked in customer service for a long time, and these small habits need to be changed because it's a real let down to the food. When you visit a 5* restaurant even the chef would greet you. I don't want to assume that the staff were arrogant but that's how it appeared

Cookdaily used to be my favourite vegan restaurant in London, but ever since they changed the menu, their flavours have been lacking. Gone are the likes of High Grade (with amazing smoky sauce that was sold by the kilo) deliciously spicy Hard Bowl, or the best vegan pie south of Newcastle. They’ve been replaced by somewhat generic mix and match sauce with veggies. I don’t mind the prices going up, but I do wish they retained the amazing flavours. Also, before they used to have no problem customising my order by removing a certain veg which now always seems to be ignored. This makes me feel like the dishes are no longer made to order as they used to be.

The food is amazing and hats off to the wonderful people in the kitchen. ‘The Jerk’ with vegan chicken is simply one of the best rice dishes ever. The rest of the dishes are also great with great variety and freshly and perfectly cooked vegetables. However the staff have are always miserable and often rude. The location is under a bridge and the decor is dark and angry with angry music. To be honest the food is so good that it really doesn’t fit in with the whole image that. Also it’s a bit pricey £10 for a dish but it is worth it. Would I go again. Yes.

In short, the food is really delicious, hence the 5 stars, but the service and attitude of front of house staff is poor. I am big fan of Mr King Cookdaily and what he has achieved. My personal favs are the house pad thai, the jungle curry and the yaki bites. The portion sizes are generous. What lets this place down and what I've experienced on every visit here is the poor attitude of the staff. I'm not sure if its the same person or if theyre all like that, but really miserable and quite rude. The last time I came here was the icing on the cake. She messed up the order number, made you feel like it was your fault, and there was no acknowledgement or apology for her mistake. Having read the other reviews, it appears I'm not the only who feels this way. The service really lets the rest of the team down for an otherwise great vegan joint in London. Maybe there's a nicer atmosphere at Cookdaily in market hall In Victoria and Oxford street.

I don’t think it would be wrong for me to say that I was a pretty die-hard CookDaily fan, after frequently going to their BoxPark location, I followed them to their London Fields location and made the trek there with many of my friends and colleagues throughout there time there and even ordered from there on UberEats for our office lunches. My most recent trip to BoxPark after they moved there left a lot to be desired. Whilst the food itself was good, the price has increased significantly and at peak time, I waited almost half an hour for my food! Half an hour for a restaurant that claims to be fast food at a restaurant that has severely limited their offering. Even in BoxPark there are soooo many more tasty, vegan options that don’t even pretend to be fast food whilst still offering less than a 10 minute wait time at 1pm. Sorry, I think our love affair has come to an end.

Food delicious as always, however the service disappointing again. Ordered The infamous with TOFU, Yaki bowl (to have there) and Pad Thai to take away. I asked for Pad Thai without peanuts on top. Guy serving me even asked if only Pad Thai is for take away and yet once the food was ready all meals were in take away boxes, infamous came with chicken instead of tofu and Pad Thai had peanuts on top. Once again completely ignored and no apology from the staff. I love food at Cookdaily but their staff always make me feel like customers just bother them.

I've been to CookDaily several times and the food has always been great. The menu is displayed on the walls and there is an eclectic mix of dishes but the majority are south-east asian. The main negative is that the restaurant is very noisy. The staff shout order numbers so customers to collect their meals; you can hear music from kitchen which competes with the music from Box Park directly outside and finally you have to endure the sounds from Astral Fighter video game machine in the corner of the restaurant. Also the seating is cramped and uncomfortable as the restaurant is small but you can use the bench style seating directly outside in Box Park. For these reasons I prefer to takeaway my meals; the journey back to my office is 40 minutes and my meals are still hot due to packaging they use. The staff aren't particularly friendly, I get the sense that they are too cool to smile. I just go there for the food and expect nothing more than that. Edit: The menu has changed and I'm no longer a fan so I'm changing my review from 4 stars to 3 stars.

Enjoyed the High Grade bowl. Good sweet and smokey flavor. Busy small, all vegan eatery with a variety of options catering to most flavor desires.

Great food and music! Thanks for making it easy to eat vegan! Minus one star because of all the unnecessary waste... Really no need for plastic forks etc.

Food was great, however staff was just rude, unfriendly and unprofessional. I'd rather order for delivery next time so I don't have to deal with them.

Easily one of the most overrated vegan spots. My ex-girlfriend and I had high hopes for this place but neither of us could finish our bowls.

I swallowed a hot chile pepper with all of its seeds still inside but somehow still managed to enjoy the rest of my meal through the rivers of tears streaming from my eyes. All in the name of veganism, eh? (Food is good, prepared using fresh ingredients. Expect slow service but that's understandable considering how busy the place gets. Unique concept I'll give it that)

Really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. There is so much selection on the menu that it makes it very difficult to know what to pick. I wish I opted for the jerk vegan chicken which my girlfriend had. Really liked the spicy flavours which gave the food a real kick. I tried the vegan brekkie which was also really delicious and full of lots of bright colours. I especially liked the vegan sausage. If you're a vegan or not visit box park and give this place a try. We will be back.

The Jerk Bowl is like a little peace of Heaven! Have had this regularly and taste is always consistent, vegetables cooked al dente, vegan chicken soaks up the sauce. My favourite take away!

Finally dropped down to have a meal at this place. One of the coolest places I have been. Hidden around Hackney's, this is definitively one of the best food/chill experiences you can have. The place looks dope from the inside with all the menu's choices layed on the walls, there's some artwork as well, while the outside is big open space with tables. The food is beyond incredible! Unreal taste! In the picture is a so called "Jerk Bowl" (stir-fry veggies, tofu, rice and some vegan chicken topped with some fresh salad and sesame all covered in a spicy sauce). It's a no brainer for any food lover out there🙌🏼

Cookdaily moves from the Box Park Shoreditch to Westgate St. The most flavoursome vegan food you will eat. All cooked to order. Great selection on the menu. Just look along the wall as you go in. Short walk from London Fields Overground station.

Nice place. Decent seating inside and outside. Food was ok. I had jungle chicken curry. This could have been more tasty. Definitely better than food from a multiple.

Wow. Wow! Amazingly tasty food in one the weirdest places in London- inside and atop of boxes! It's actually UPstairs in box #55. The food was not only good. It was delicious! The sauce was just right with mix of fresh ingredients in the high grade. I enjoyed a beer and a show watching the beer pong "champions."

Unbelievably impressed with the food at the West End Market Hall. I'm not vegan but the chickn bites were incredible, as was the pad thai. I am craving it again and ate there less than 24 hours ago! Highly highly recommend- please keep the standards as high as they are!

This is my favourite restaurant in London with the most amazing vegan food. I never had anything that I didn’t think was outstanding. All my friends love it too, whatever their usual diet is. I hope they get to open at even more locations soon.

Management, please do something about the rude service! The food is great but you want to finish fast to avoid the awkward vibe and frankly annoying loud music. Not even the time to put my coat back on and was already being told to put away dishes and cutlery - again, rude (and from other reviews it seems that's the norm)

  • 3/5 Jayde A. 4 years ago on Google
Food is lovely but when taking away something is always forgotten from my order! This has happened at least 4 times, quite annoying!

  • 5/5 Wayne H. 4 years ago on Google
Good quality, nice tasting vegan food. Highly recommend

  • 2/5 Steve B. 4 years ago on Google
Super awkward environment and poor design of the space. Theres no menus except for 20+ pictures scattered on both walls, which means you need to creep over other diners to read the dishes . The menu prices aren't entirely clear either with the design of the place. Why not just display them where you order? Or have at least 1 menu? The cutlery is also hidden around the bar area and feels a bit like a scavenger hunt. Some tables are also right next to an uncomfortably hot, vent blowing hot air at you The reason I gave 2 stars instead of q is because the food is pretty good. The vegan chikn tastes similar (maybe better?) than the real thing. And I follow Dr gregors Daily Dozen so was able to check a handful of healthy veggies in one dish. And very tasty too. No clue what's in the chickn. Too much rice for sure , which gave it a Chinese takeout feel...but overall still good.

I had the Jerk bowl with "chicken" it was a lovely meal, I really enjoyed it, twas extremely flavoursome and filling. The "chicken" teriyaki was awesome. Loved the deco of the restaurant and the fact that all their utensils and bowls are recyclable

  • 4/5 Leo W. 4 years ago on Google
Great spot for fast flavoursome vegan food, decent value, and a nice selection of dishes, worst to do takeaway/delivery as well. The yaki bites were sublime, as were both mains on our table. Smoothie missed the mark, was fairly dull tasting, but assume that might change daily, other than that, if struggle to find criticism
