Very authentic Malay Indian restaurant, really enjoyed the Murtabak Special with eggs, onion and chicken mince, served with curry dipping sauce👍, very nice curry sauce. Fish tasted good and friendly services.

This is the best place on Earth to eat this kind of authentic food in our wonderful Perth weather!! I mean eating in South East Asia, you are sweating bullets as penance while enjoying curry rice, roti or mixed altogether. Right here the flavors bring you right back to the source but more importantly the produce we have in Australia is the highest standards. The guys cook with so much soul and the spices are humming along. Truly amazing food and you cannot go wrong with the food selection, because everything is great! The price is also super reasonable. If you want a real true experience, this is the spot. I highly recommend everything, notably the goat curry, this was epic!

I WENT THERE TODAY AFTER LONG TIME AFTER A BAD EXPERIENCE I WANTED TO GIVE THEM A SECOND CHANCE ! THE CURRY WAS OLD AND FULL OF BROKEN SMALL BONES INSIDE I WAS CHARGED $23 FOR THIS MY GOODNESS SAKE !! THE PORTION WAS VERY SMALL AND TASTED OFF !! THEY ONLY USE BIG PLATES SO THE PORTIONS LOOK BIG BUT IN FACT ITS VERY SMALL !! MY DRINK WAS VERY WARM FROM THE FRIDGE LIKE A COWS MILK !! I WILL NOT RETURN ITS GAME OVER !!

More photos were added. Chef Bala told he started this restaurant 12 years ago. He was a chef from Subang Jaya of Malaysia. The curry goat was fresh and tasty. I liked the Teh Tarik (hot bubble milk tea) here. With the noise and the TV sports games on, this place made me felt like as if I was sitting in a Mamak restaurant in South East Asia. (2021-08) Instead of a real banana leaf, Rasa Sayang uses a big banana leaf plastic plate to serve. It does not have a traditional potable three or four curry serving containers for you to pour on the rice. The curry lamb and curry fish are nice. The Parata is crispy and not so fluffy. You can choose mild or spicy curry as you wish. (2021-03)

If you are looking for an authentic Malaysian experience, please visit this cosy little spot at Spencer Village. The vadai gets sold out by 10am!!! The roti canai gets sold out by 2pm!! I have yet to try these two. However, I have tried the rice with vegetables, dhal, fried mackerel, tofu and egg and mutton. It was awesome. Teh tarik is a must have!! Great hospitality and very welcoming. Patrons seen to have very close bond with this place. I am beginning to think that this is going to be a start of a love story. Highly recommended for Malaysian food lovers! Managed to finally get the crispy roti canai in this cafe. So yummy! The curries were flavourful and well balanced. The lentils were a little bland. Lacked salt. But the fish and chicken curries were beautiful. The roti canais were crispy and cooked to perfection 🥰

Not a friendly place unless you are Asian or indian, the Asian girl was counting the bits of lamb curry she was serving on the plate, tiny serves from last time I visited there, watch the owner he charged me $1 extra than when I was there a week before on the sly, thinks because you European you won't notice. $1 has cost you potentially hundreds of dollars worth of business, foolish tactics!

This restaurant is an Institution for Malaysians and lovers of good south indian fair. I have been going to this restaurant for 10 years now and have nevet hadthe quality drop. The portion aizes are generous and the family that runs it treats us like one of their own.

pretty good feed at a decent price during lunchtime on the weekdays - briyani (or plain rice) with whatever dishes they have on that day. taste is pretty good, but quantity could do with a bit more. staff here are pretty friendly too.

Food was pretty nice & authentic. Roti was a bit chewy & Teh Tarik was too sweet to my liking. The cafe is a bit grubby & high chairs needs to be replaced as there were broken ones there.

If I could give MINUS 5 STAR, that's what I would have gone for. The shop is extremely small for the customer traffic. The young girl at the counter is so slow in taking orders and misses orders. My wife and I ordered 1teh tarik, 1hot milo, 1rava thosai & 1roti canai. It took them 25minutes to deliver my teh tarik and missed the Milo order. The roti canai came 35minutes later. The chicken curry is pretty much filled with coconut milk. Milo pretty much did not come. My thosai came an hour after, burnt and tasted like cardboard. Payment using card comes with surcharges. Food is not that great and definitely not worth the wait or the price hands down. The messed up part is you need to pay right after you order which makes it completely impossible to leave if you are starving and need to get to another place in a hurry. You call this a Malaysian restaurant but delivering the drinks that late is unacceptable. Food maybe to a certain extent is acceptable with what ever the excuse is but man definitely not worth the penny and time. Would not recommend this. Might as well eat in Spencer Village. Got the Milo in a takeaway cup after waiting 70minutes in the shop. Disaster! Picture shows what I got 50 minutes later.

Excellent food-Choice of white or Briyani rice with 3 vegetables and serve of non veg either, chicken, lamb or fish with papadom’s and pickles. Reasonably priced with more than eatable portion. The tarik is uncle’s signature drink 👍Roti canai is amazing. Nasi Lemak on weekends only. Our favourite place ❤️

Glad I discovered this Malay Indian restaurant on Google and gave it a go. This morning we enjoyed a tasty sup kambing (generous serve), plain prata set and dosa with dal, gravy and chutney for only $25. Even though it's an hour's travel will definitely come back. Curry and biryani set looked appetising. Next time ! 👍

Best dhosa especially the onion and egg, ask for a few drops of ghee, and ask the expert dhosa maker aka Phav to make it crispy.

Very delicious Southern indian Malay curry. Great if your a spice lover. However wish they would have price lists and what curries will be on what day. As I wouldn't mind trying their different curries. Portions are very generous will definitely be back Goat curry and chicken curry were the bomb.

Best Malaysian and Indian food in Perth. Totally authentic family run. A hidden treasure. The spicy Goat curry was one of the best I have ever had if not the best. Good service and very generous servings. Highly recommended.

Very authentic Malaysian South Indian cuisines..Rustic. The atmosphere feels like a typical Malaysian South Indian restraunt..not fancy , very informal...as if you are in Malaysia. Malaysian will know what I mean.
