We had a lunch there a couple of days ago and it was one of the most disappointing experiences. First off all it was cold and raining. The heater was on but it was so weak that we couldn't feel any heat at all. The Wagyu burger was well done. What is the point of using good meat if you overcook it? Moscow mule had vodka in it that gave it a taste of rubbing alcohol. Lox sandwich was just lumps of smoked salmon in a pita bread. I wish there were other ingredients as the taste of salmon was overwhelming. On top of the sandwich there was mound of herbs and onions that fell all over the table as soon as i tried to lift it. The only thing I enjoyed was the Hot whisky ginger toddy that was perfect got that cold day and quite delicious. Our bill for two drinks and two dishes was $75. I left $20 in cash for tips on top (servers should not be punished for bad cooking).

Mandatory 20% tip. They did not have a physical menu. Had to download a QR code app to read the menu. The waiters won’t take your order even if you beg them to; they get very agitated when you ask them to take your order… You have to upload your credit card and pay via your phone. They refuse to take cash payment. Waitstaff is rude and jaded. They did not say 1 word to us when serving our food—even after we thanked them. It was like we didn’t even exist as people; just dump the food on the table and walk away. During our 30 min wait, we were brought multiple people’s meals by a mistake. The restaurant was only 20% full. I have never seen such a miserable staff… What is the mandatory tip for if there is no service being rendered? Food was mediocre at best. Avoid this money trap and go somewhere more reasonable.

Saturday around 4pm rolled in to plenty of outdoor booths - heated, private little benches for your group. They band you after checking ID and everything is done online. From placing the order via phone to food & drinks coming out was super speedy and prompt. Was actually surprised at the speed. All of the drinks we tried were so yummy. The PB Milk Punch was a special hit for me - liquid peanut butter - YUM! Such a nice area to meet up and hang out with an awesome ambiance, food, and dranks.

The food was good, the people were nice. And the drinks were cool. I kind of thought the no waiter experience sad.. you order online, you pay online, and they take a 20% tip out without giving you an option of offering more. It really felt like they were just waiting for the robots to replace the waiters. I miss old San Francisco, it was full of people doing jobs, not machines

This place was a gem, came here Saturday morning with some friends after walking around Pacific Heights. The Peach Rum Nitro has a refreshing flavor that’s a good drink for brunch, the avocado toast was solid, delicious and satisfying so pairing that for a more healthier option like the peach salad was cool. Trust me I definitely wanted the breakfast burger but I controlled the urge. The service was attentive and not too overshadowing. The wait also was long at all maybe like 15 minutes so on a sunny day this is a cool spot, I’ll definitely be back to try that breakfast burger.

The location, food, and ambiance at the Snug are quite lovely. Unfortunately, these things together are soured by the actual experience of ordering food. The Snug only offers ordering via a QR code, physical menus must be specifically requested but regardless, orders must be placed on one’s cell phone. This takes away from such an otherwise wonderful experience. The crux of this is that a 20% tip is automatically added to any order and cannot be removed. For reference, we spent $115 total for the evening here for 2 people. Normally at restaurants I tip 25% regardless of quality of service. I worked in the food industry for many years and am sympathetic to it. However, in this case I find great fault with a default 20% tip given that there is no wait staff and that the restaurant simply functions at a fast-casual establishment. I’d recommend the Snug only for drinks and I’d recommend sitting at the bar.

Had two appetizers and drinks here. Service was great, and love the QR code setup. You can order whenever you want (even second and third rounds, without waiting for someone to come around and check on you) you're all paid up so you can just get up and leave when you're done. And to top it all off really awesome heated outdoor booths so you can enjoy the extended San Francisco summer / year round good weather.

Wonderfully, random find in Pacific Heights. Felt as though I was a regular from the first few moments I was here. Staff was courteous, friendly, and attentive. Gave off a family vibe, with subtle music. Great selection cocktails, and small pub-type menu. I have not been here in later evenings, but have been informed that is a lively and happy place. I would so recommend this establishment based merely on their service - anything above and beyond, is just the icing. 😊

Salad was great and portions are of a good size so you can enjoy it with whole your family. Burgers are very cute and you would like them much! Thanks to serving staff.

Snug Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its cozy ambiance and attentive staff. The menu features a diverse selection of dishes. The atmosphere is warm, making it an ideal spot for intimate gatherings or casual dinners. While prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food justifies the cost. Overall, Snug Restaurant is a charming destination for those seeking a tasteful blend of comfort and gastronomic excellence.

Man the drinks are very strong and hard to finish. None of my group loved our drink unfortunately. The service was very friendly and the place was nice and clean. We only got drinks and the tab was well over 100 bucks.

Didn't drink on this visit but the food was really good.We appreciated the self order/check out system that allowed us to close out our tab when we were ready. Vibes were great. Perfect for a quick catch up lunch with friends. Will be coming back.

Casual neighborhood dinner spot for Asian-inspired dishes. Lovely outdoor seating and additional tables on the mezzanine level. Food was flavorful (though on the heavier side) and menu is well curated, plus a number of specialty cocktails. Highly recommend the naan brand and trout roe dip and the popcorn chicken. The burger and tots are decent as well!

The Bloody Mary. Simply THE BEST. We had some food last time and it was amazing. Truly elevated pub food. I had the chicken burger. My friends had the beef burger and the pork belly bao. And we shared the hummus with pita bread as well as the cauliflower. We definitely ordered too much food (portions are very generous!). Food is delish and cocktails are amazing. My new fav spot around Fillmore!

I've been to the snug about three times now and it has been a solid place. They have a self-serve QR code ordering system which you order from and the food is brought directly to the table where you scanned your code at which I thought was very cool there is a 20% automatic gratuity tacked on at the end of your bill which hikes up the prices and was a bit much for me and the single burger and popcorn chicken we got. The wagyu burger though, is pretty solid! The star of the show was the dijonaise and carmelized onions, absolutely delicious.

We couldn’t find these restaurant first and I was looking at the map for it and couldn’t locate any signs. Then I noticed a waiter and asked what’s the name of this restaurant? He said “the snug” and we said oh that’s what’ve been looking for! We sat outside and the waiter told us that everything is online. And there is no waiter there. We could scan the QR code, place the order (individually or as a group) and then someone would bring the food to our table. Tips and service fee included. So you could leave upon payment. The whole process was very efficient and worked smoothly through the Toast website. There aren’t that many choices for food, but the ones that we tried the sweet potato tacos and double burger were really good. Nothing to complain about, just we didn’t receive water or anything upon seating and we couldn’t see the option there as well. Although the process was efficiently designed, I would have preferred if someone would come and check on us only once in case we missed something through the app.

Love this place. If you’re lucky, John will be behind the bar. The guy makes fantasy cocktails. Food is casual but very good, consistent, and comforting. John + Snug is a big reason I made it through the pandemic. Thank you guys!
