Sailung offers a peaceful and tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, making it an attractive destination for nature enthusiasts, trekkers, and those looking to immerse themselves in the culture and natural beauty. In the Tamang language, ‘Sai’ means one hundred and ‘Lung’ means hillocks, as one can view 108 hillocks in this area. Hence, a trek to Sailung means not only experiencing mountain ranges, but when I visited, it was extremely foggy and snowy. I couldn't see anything, but the snow made the trip worth it.

Sailung: “Sai-hundred, Lung-hills” land of hundred hills, Thulo Sailung is located at the height of 3,146m which is the best viewpoint for the Himalayan panoramas which is located in the border of Ramechhap and Dolakha but it is VDC of Ramechhap district. Sailung has been gaining popularity for trekking as the Indigenous trail; its unique landscape and amazing views allure most of the travellers. This trekking provides fantastic Himalayan panoramas views stretching from Dhauligiri and Annapurna in the West, Langtang Range, Ganesh Himal region & Rolwaling region. Almost 90% of mountains range can be seen from this place and this is another attraction of this place. Sailung trekking is not only for Himalayan views, but it has very unique structure i.e. hundreds of dooms the hills where you feel like playing hide and seek. This place has its distinctive beauty in different seasons like in winter Sailung is covered with snows from mid-winter and spring is filled with Rhododendrons, and greener pastures leave you speechless remaining seasons. The trail is easily where everyone can easily complete and make beautiful memories. There are beautiful villages and places that will come across on your way which will add more beauty to your journey. We went there by motor-bike. Road is not so good, but the ride was adventurous. First day stayed at Khola Kharka. Do not expect fancy hotels or lodges at Khola Kharka. it’s small Tamang village who have initiated small-scale business by their own effort to support tourism in their place. You can find the accommodation from free if you take a meal in this hotel or some of the guest house charges Rs 500 per person which offers dinner along with accommodation (home stay). The next morning wake up early in the morning and start walking towards the Sailung hill which will take 30-40 mins staircase walk then you will reach the final view tower. Do not miss the sunrise and the early view. You will be blessed with amazing and spectacular views. But it is impossible to gratify yourself but you have to move according to your plans. I got see one of the best sunrise and mountain range from this place. Within just few hours ride from Kathmandu valley, one get to see this amazing place.

what a amazing place, heaven on Earth. worthfull visit to sailung. jay sailungshwor mahadev. one of the most beautiful place with 110 peaks. wonderful time spent with our group. we get chance to watch live snow fall. road was off-road,muddy and slippery but the cold snowing sailung made us excited, gave energy, even whole book of 1000 pages won't be sufficient to explain beauty of sailung, and our enjoyment. we bought 10000 trillions dollars refreshments from out tour. #explore_your_country.

Sailung is an area that is located in the border area of Dolakha and Ramechhap district. This place was named Sailung as it has around hundred small hillocks rolling over the whole place like the meadows of heaven. After climbing up a certain altitude, only thing we can see is the hillocks all around and also the mountains surrounding the landscape. It is also famous as a Hindu religious site for Sailungeshwor Mahadev, a form of Lord Shiva residing over Sailung watching over the Himalayas.
