Best time to visit early morning. Chill climate. Some people come there for sports practice like jogging sprinting uphill. The road path is good, you can drive upto top and park your bike or car but there's not enough space. Park at your own risk. You can't go top of hill, because it's restricted. And it's enough to see best view of sunrise, Chennai airport, some other hills, city top view. There's few stray dogs that need not to be worry about that.

Highest peak in Chennai, located near Tambaram, located at around 5 kms from chennai airport. Beautiful aerial view of the city and illuminated runway are a major attraction here. Entire hill is not accessible for public since a sensitive police post is there.

I had a great time trekking at Tirusulam mountain1 last week. It is the tallest hill in Chennai and has many places of worship2. I enjoyed the scenic views of the city and the airport from the top. The hill also has a historical significance as it has a temple built by Kulothunga I in the 11th century2. The temple has inscriptions from the Chola and Pandiya periods and a secret subway that connects it to the nearby hills2. The hill is also a popular spot for shooting Tamil movies and TV shows2. I recommend this place for anyone who loves nature, history and adventure.
