This temple located in small hill. But we can't see that when we see from outside temple. Once enter into temple there are around 100 steps to reach Murugan shrine. Vinayagar and Amman in ground floor. Sivan, Meenakshi, Bhairavar, Murugan, are in hill. Neatly maintained and we can feel the positive vibes inside the temple. Annadanam at 12 PM for 40 to 50 members. Pooja items stall available near to temple. For elders difficult to climb. Opposite to Murugan temple, Anjineyar and Perumal templa also there. Don't forget to visit that.

Very calm place and easy to locate. There are around 100 steps to be climbed to reach lord Muruga's shrine. After climbing about 50 steps, there is Meenakshi and sundareshwarar shrine located at left side. Very peaceful place. Not crowded usually on ordinary days but might be crowded on festival days. Parking space easily available on non festival days.

It's divine and must visit if your in chennai. 100 steps to reach the hill top. Meenakshi amman and sivan temple in the middle of hill. Located in busy road. No car parking facility. Need to park in roadside.

It is hillrock Murugan temple. It is 40 years old temple. The presiding God is swaminathaswamy similar to swamimalai. There around 100 steps to reach the temple. Instead of his usual peacock, an elephant is found as his vaahana. There is sundereswara linga and Meenakshi shine at the middle of the hill. .

Was Surprised to see small hill murugan temple in hasthinapuram Chennai ( next to Chromepet ) it was an Ancient murugan temple located in small hill. Points to Note: 1. It was nearly 100 steps so aged people will be suffer to claim . There is no other way to reach. 2. From Chromepet rail way station we will get share auto and bus ( Hastinapuram Bus stand) 3. Located in Main Street so parking car is very difficult so plan accordingly if ur going in car . Must visit temple in Chennai.

A beautiful hillock temple at Chromepet near the MIT gate. Need to climb 100 steps to the Swami Nathan sannadhi. Halfway there is Sokkanathar, Meenakshi Amman sannathi. Visited on a Sunday morning, such a divine and blissful experience

Beautiful murugan temple where you need to climb approximately 150 steps. There are couple of small temples before climbing the steps. The city view from the temple is really awesome

Nice temple on the hill. Didn't look majestic as it is located in a residential area. It was a remote place in the old but now completely packed. There are around 100 steps. Down there is a pillaiyar and after 50 steps there is a seperate temple for Meenakshi & sundaredhwarar. There is a seperate shrine for sarabheswarar too. After that once you have to climb the steps to reach the subramania swamy. So calm & nice place. Can have the city view from that place. No proper space for car parking as it is the residential area. There is a urchavar below with Valli deivanai & Arumuha Murugan. Left there is a vinayagar. Once after that dharshan only we have to climb up. Nice temple to visit.

Need to improve lot in this temple. Temple is not maintained well. Full of dogs and trashes. But Lord Murugan's statue and surrounding places are good. Management should take care of the temple's environment should clean and neat.

A very divine spiritual experience with the Lord Muruga ambience. The divinity enhanced with quality systematic puja formalities is notable. I was fortunate to sing for the opening of the new structured space with stage to conduct temple festvities, weddings and concerts with Annadhanam and cooking facilities years ago. I was happy to attend the grand wedding of Mr & Mrs Ilangovan’s son,AG.O office (Son of the great Dilruba maestro - Senior most musician, Thiru. DilrubaShanmugam), in that hall today. Great to visit.

Wow, you have such a wonderful murugar temple near by Tambaram. Very near to Varadharaja theater. Small hill with 100 steps. Very neatly maintained. Have bike parking. But car parking you have to find the place near by.

Devine place. One of the important temple for lord muruga. The temple is on top of a small hill and need to climb around 60 steps. Main deity is swamynathan swami. On the way to hill we can worship lord Siva as sundareswarar and meenakshi temple. Easily reachable from chrompet railway station and bus stop. There buses to reach the temple. Must visit temple.

Nice Temple on the Hill Top, Located in Centre of Chrompet... A very Calm and Peaceful Place to Worship. the Surroundings are maintained very well. The Main deity in this temple is Lord Muruga. There are also other deities like Vinayagar, Meenakshi,Sundareswarar and all... Around 108 steps are there, Scenic View from the Top. Early Morning or Evening time, even at night with those lights visiting here will be fabulous to watch...Small place still it's beautiful and Divine.Only issue is with the parking... It can be manageable though... There is also another Small Temple few steps opposite to this temple, which is Prasanna Venkatesa Perumal Temple.

Situated in the busy neighbourhood of chrompet is this beautiful temple. There are almost 100 steps. When one reaches half way there is the shrine of sundareshwarar and meenakshi amman. There is a special sanadhi for sarabeshwarar. Moving 40 steps upward one reaches the shrine of muruga who resides as swaminathan. There is so much serenity in the place and is worth visiting

Jan 2025- 108 steps and its replica of swamy malai murugan. Doesn’t take too much efforts to climb up but elderly people need to walk with a half time break. Car parking is challenge and you might want to park but ahead of temple to avoid crowding

Very spacious temple. Neatly maintained. Elders might find it difficult to climb the stairs. About 150 to 180 steps are there to reach lord Muruga's sanctum.

The place is too good especially when you bring your children's there they will enjoy since it is a small mountain temple that too in chromepet locality. The place is neat and calm and the Murugan deity which is similar to the murugan in Swamimalai.

The presiding deity in Kumaran Kundram is believed to be equivalent to the one in Swamimalai and stands atop the hillock facing north. This temple has shrines for Shiva, Sabareshwarar, Vishnu, Anjaneya, Ambal, and the Navagrahas.Temple has a peaceful atmosphere . Temple’s timings are 07:00 am to 10:50 am, and 04:30 pm to 08:20 pm.

Truly blissful to have a home near to this temple! There are two seperate temples on the cliff for Sundarar Meenatchi and Murugan! It has some 100 steps so it's not a very big mountain so even elders can slowly climb it. Not much crowded.
