Even before coming to Chennai i heard a lot about Dindigul thalappakati and got a chance to give it a try. One word to sum the experience: AWESOME!!😃 This was one of the best biriyani I had in a long long time and the gravy they have with biriyani was mind blowing. Rice is different from other biryani rice and spices are of right mix. Definitely will be going back to try thalappakati when ever am coming to Chennai.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dindigul Thalappakatti Restaurant in Chennai, and I was blown away by the food. The biryani was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great authentic Indian meal. Opens in a new window www.tripadvisor.in Dindigul Thalappakatti Restaurant in Chennai I ordered the chicken biryani, and it was cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the rice was fluffy and aromatic. The biryani was also very spicy, but in a good way. The spice added a lot of flavor to the dish, and it didn't overpower the other flavors. The service at Dindigul Thalappakatti Restaurant was also excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they were always happy to answer my questions. They also made sure that I had everything I needed, and they were always checking to make sure that I was enjoying my meal. Overall, I had a great experience at Dindigul Thalappakatti Restaurant in Chennai. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very inviting. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great authentic Indian meal.

Placed on the main Streets of Guindy. The place has decent sitting for 40-50 PPL on the top floor. Place has ample space for 2,4 wheeler. We had Mutton Biriyani,Pallipalayam Chicken,Morru Morru Chicken and 65 Biriyani for lunch. Food offered was delicious and service was timely. Would recommend family/Friends for a good meal out here. I will never get tired of visiting here.... Though i didn't like the biriyani here that much, it like all other dishes here.... Costly place.... But you will get a very good taste in return.... In the end taste and quality is all we need. My kind request will be to add less ghee in the biriyani because many people don't like ghee. It's overpowering the biryani hope it'll be changed. Starters are always excellent gere and again the quantity is very low comparing to the price. No matter how many reviews are given, nothing is gonna change.

The food was nice.. and delicious. I went on Sunday. Was waiting for like 30 mins to order the food. Staffs were less to make orders and cleaners weren't available to clean the table. The hotel was kind of look like a war zone on Sunday. No staffs were available to even give the water.

Biryani at Chennai is always awesome because of thalappakatti , the taste of chicken biryani is amazing , though it is a bit pricey but it is worth having it . You can order starters as well it is really good . Service is not that good you have to follow up for your order.

Food is okay. Chinese option is not of great taste but South Indian items are so tasty. I liked the other two mutton starters we ordered(no picture). Definitely try pepper chicken. Definitely will go again.

One of the best Mutton Biryanis I have ever had!! Went here for lunch along with colleagues. We ordered Mutton Sukha and Mutton Biryani. Not being a very big fan of Mutton, I was not really looking forward to it. But the Mutton Sukha went way above my expectations and I ended up ordering one more. This was followed by Mutton Biryani which was equally good too. The mutton was just perfectly cooked. We also ordered a Dindi Soda which was a jeera based drink..I did not really enjoy it and felt a simple Fresh Lime would have been better. The staff was really helpful and very modest. Parking might be an issue as this place is adjacent to the busy road.

This place never fails you when it comes to taste. The place is located at very busy place so parking might be issue. The ambiance is good but the service is very laid back. The staff needs some training in checking on table what is lacking and should be quick to react. The food is good and the portion is justifying the price . Good place to be with friends and family for lunch or dinner.

I am a fan of Dindigul Thalappakatti Biriyani and a frequent visitor of their outlets. Today they surprised me with just one microscopic leg piece and bone of a leg piece. First I thought there was a mistake and called the waiter to tell. To my surprise he told me that 1.5 months back they decided to serve only one piece of chicken if its leg or 2 normal pieces(guessing it will be small too) with checken biriyani. (After that he came with a piece of chicken and told me that he will tell this in the upcoming meeting) Anyway for a 300+ rs chicken biriyani i felt like they are looting people.

Ok so if u r biriyani lover and like to have biriyani made with hand ground masala u can try here. don't buy mutton chukka the quantity is very less for 340 rs.. just buy one biryani and quarter tandoori ur good to go. I ordered wheat parota, mutton soup(not worthy), mutton chuka and half boil.

The biriyani was good. It was tasted different when compare to other restaurants. There was a huge space for the parking area. Service was good but can be improved. Waiting time for the order was high. Overall it was a good experience and good place for dining. They also have their delivery service. The fish polichathu was too costly but not up to the mark. The price was bit high and also the quantity was also less.

Bought full portions of Chicken biryani and mutton special Biryani ( boneless) Quantity was too less and really unsatisfied with the Biryani. Taste was not up to the expectations. The Biryani is too overpriced also. The quantity of mutton in the biriyani can be checked in the photo uploaded.

Not only biryani. They have other dishes also. Tastes good. The survey also very good. Serving also little slower but it's ok. The Biryani tastes very well. Somebody will be confused about the name of thalapakattu biryani. The other dishes also available here

The best of all Authentic biryanis I ever had and whenever I am at Chennai, this place is never to miss. The taste remains same in every branch I felt. Such standardised recipe for Biryani! Must try their Kushka alone , it's Yumm!

😠 The food was good and the service was great. But I am giving a single star review because of an incident. I witnessed the person who was moping the floors stick his hand into the ingredients containers and eat the food. With the other hand he was still holding the mop which he was holding just a few...
