Big lake area maintained well with walking foot path around lake in Chitlapakkam. Good place to view the sun rise and sunset and we can view pacha malai hill also from this lake view point. Good to visit with kids and family

Very breezy place for walking

Nice place. Breeze in the evening is very cool to hangout with friends and family's.

2002 I ride to school in my bicycle, I see the lake daily and it is getting more polluted by date. The garbage pile next to Chitlapakkam school is growing leaps and bound every month. The only thing I love about the lake is Ayyappan temple, I go regularly, listen to bhajans, blissful feeling all the way back home. 2023 the only thing I love about the lake is gone, but everything has improved leaps and bounds, I still can be blissful visiting Gangai amman temple and as a bonus on good rainy days the pond next to it is full and now it also has park. In Ayyappan temple place now stands an open auditorium, I have not idea on how they are going to use it. The lake is so pleasing to watch at sunset, with two natural islands in the middle and long walkway, nothing short of well spent money. I still miss the temple, but this compromise is worth it.

Great place to see the sunset and good place for walking with serene atmosphere.. The total area was clean and tidy.. Its a great effort took by the chitlapakam people to make a good spot from scratch ..

One of the best lakes in Chennai is properly maintained. Whether you're a walker, a runner, a nature lover, a kid looking for a place to play, or a teen wanting to chat with friends, it's the ideal spot for everyone. I'm genuinely surprised by the volunteers who care for every tree around the lake. Additionally, some extension works are in progress, and once completed, it will be a gem in this area. Go and enjoy the fresh air and nature.

The place is so nice and the sunset is great to watch there ☺️, we can really feel the golden ✨️ hour kindly visit the place once or else u will miss that feel of capturing a great memory, this place is recommended for two or more as it will be fun to spend lot more time and "please make sure you're not carrying some plastic materials with you", kindly keep the place clean 😊.

It's very useful for the walking . Neatly maintained. If you walk up & down almost 2500 steps measured. Still fully not completed the walking path. Very pleasant and calm atmosphere.

best location to watch the sunset or sunrise.I was there in the evening, and while the lake view was lovely, it was a bit crowded with people walking around. The only drawback was the presence of mosquitoes, so I recommend donning repellent before visiting.

East half embankment pedestrian enjoyed walking. West half not paved but walkable. Sewage ditch outside of the lake prevent wastewater intrusion but where it goes? Flood overflow outlet or weirs in north, east and south. Wonder whether sufficient capacity at downstream.

Maintained by local people association and TN GOVERNMENT , IT has a good space for walking with good pawn, trees are maintained by NGO and local people . Government need to take more action to maintain this place.

Very nice place to visit. There is NO FENCING in this Lake. Fencing will be...helpful for Children while playing. It has to be provided. Need light while walking @ the time of evening/late evening. This is also essential. Scene on 18.11.2022
