For easy Approach: Take a right turn at the Valasaravakkam (Corporation office/ erstwhile panchayat union) signal if you come from Vadapalani via Virugambakkam, Kesavarthini. In case you are coming from Porur take a left turn at this signal. The narrow road behind the Corporation office leads to Alapakkam Main Road. Landmark Devi Academy. If you proceed straight, first intersection of kadambadi amman koil street comes first. It is a junction where Velankanny School will be on your right and Kadambady Amman on the left which joins the Arcot road. Next follows Mahalakshmi Ave, Ganga Ave, Balaji Ave and Karpaga Vinayagar Ave where a big arch of the temple abutting the road welcomes you. The arch may be almost opposite to Ponniyamman Koil Street. Enter the road and turn right and there you find the old Siva temple 'Vallisera Paaleeswarar'.

This temple is 10th century pallava temple .The Shiva lingam was discovered from under the ground in 1994 and kumbabishekam was done as per the guidance of Maha periyava of Kanchi. It is a very well maintained temple with several other sannidis like iyappan and Sri Rama Seetha Lakshmana and Anchaneyar .
