Excellent experience. I was delighted to see that they’re open late (until 11pm) on weekends. The service is incredibly attentive and friendly. They’re also able to accommodate off menu requests within reason. The bullet naan was the best I’ve tasted in metro Detroit. Tarka Daal was thicker (less soupy) and had great flavor. Both the chicken 65 & chili chicken were very good too.

Great food!!! All the vegan and gluten free items are all clearly marked on their menu. Sooooo good!!!!! And everyone is very nice.

Had dinner at Royal Oak Masala on Royal Oak Michigan. It was such a wonderful and pleasant experience! The restaurant wasn't too crowded when my party arrived around 7 pm, but more and more patrons began rolling in a little later as we were leaving. I am so glad that it was slow, because the head chef took time to come over to our table to strike up a conversation and enlightened us on India, their culture, the importance of certain foods, and just some fun facts! We ordered the butter chicken, chicken Tikka Biryani, and a dish they call chicken 65 and plenty of garlic and plain Nan, which I guess you could compare it to flat bread or pita! The food was amazingly delicious, fresh tasting, and you could really tell it was cooked with pride. The chef even sent over a dish to be had with the bread! It was so good. The Nan is one of their most dangerous dishes, and you could get into a world of trouble if you are a carb fan like I am! It's by far not a very large place, but it makes up for that by offering some the best Indian food and just a really great atmosphere. It's definitely a gem of a place, among the downtown Royal Oak hustle and bustle that goes on up and down main street. Can't say enough about how great this establishment was. Go see for yourself!

Oakland County has no shortage of indian food; Royal Oak, Ferndale, Berkley and especially Troy all have many restaurants that offer varying qualities of food. With that in mind, this is hands down the best Indian food I have had in Oakland County. I had the Chicken Manchurian, the Lamb Saag and the Lamb Kadi. All superb. Well spiced (ordered medium), meat was juicy and not tough (Goat and Lamb can be tough when cooked). Can't recommend enough. Give them a try.

Amazingly wonderful Indian food! We got Gobi Manchurian which can be greasy but was absolutely perfect.Add lamb curry and chicken saag with garlic Naan. Did I mention larger portions than most restaurants &food on the table in 10 minutes?? A 10!

BEST FOOD I HAVE HAD IN SUCH A WHILE. This place was magnificent, like something out of a cooking show. The owner was out on the floor, greeted us with not only welcoming energy but a passion for food in general that made me and my friend feel right at home! As people who have never frequented Indian food, he let us know what the best things to get were and had AMAZING vegetarian options as well. The food was DELICIOUS and even the dishes it came in were beautiful. A+ experience, will come back many times again!

Had a decent experience dining in. Visited on a weekday for dinner around 8:30, we were the only group that time. However could see lot many carryouts being taken. Service was good, food came in quick, tasted good as well.

I think it was the best Indian food I've had in Michigan so far, and I mean it! The vegetable samosa was so flaky & freshly made. Lamb korma and tandoori roti were so delicious! The place was clean, and the people were friendly. It was also spacious, with more seats in the back, and we enjoyed dining in. I highly recommend this place, and I can't wait to come back!

We were the only ones dining in on a Saturday evening which we thought was super strange. There were a lot of take out orders. Loved the food! Would definitely go back again! Good vegetarian options!
