Words
can
not
explain
how
disappointed
and
confused
this
place
makes
me
feel.
It
used
to
be
a
great
place
with
healthcare
professionals
that
actually
cared.
Or
maybe
the
VA
just
changed
policy
to
make
it
as
difficult
as
possible
so
we
stop
trying
and
become
one
of
the
22.
We
are
not
one
size
fits
all,
we
are
individuals
asking
for
help
and
this
VA
does
not
provide
it.
I
have
one
group
of
"professionals"
(Doctors)
recommending
one
thing
and
another
group
of
individuals
(Social
workers)
telling
me
another
that
isn't
compatible
with
my
Doctors
request
for
the
therapy.
I
am
service
connected,
but
that
doesn't
mean
anything
because
they
don't
care.
I
have
Doctors
recommending
individual
treatment
but
the
VA
only
supports
Group
therapy
(they
say
there
is
individual,
but
they
won't
offer
it
unless
it
is
with
a
temp
intern).
Good
luck
if
you
try
to
get
individually
mental
health
therapy.
It
has
been
almost
2
years
since
I
have
requested
1/1
treatment
but
the
VA
keeps
trying
to
shovel
Group
therapy
down
our
throats.
Is
this
because
they
are
lazy?
Short-staffed?
Just
don't
care
at
all?
What
do
we
have
to
do
in
order
to
get
the
treatment
we
NEED?
Seems
like
the
only
time
they
will
actually
do
anything
is
if
someone
threatens
their
own
life
or
someone
else's.
Maybe
the
staff
does
care,
but
they
can't
do
anything
because
policy
prohibits
them
from
helping
a
Veteran.
And
if
by
some
chance
you
are
able
to
get
an
appointment
scheduled
it
will
be
at
the
most
inconvenient
times
or
months
away
from
when
you
need
it.
Ridiculous.
It
is
no
wonder
we
lose
over
20
brothers
and
sisters.
We
feel
ignored,
lied
to,
brushed
aside
as
if
we
don't
matter
because
we
don't
fit
the
'model'.
If
the
VA
truly
cared,
they
would
provide
care
for
our
Veterans
instead
of
making
us
find
it
elsewhere
in
the
private
sector.
