Nice place with great sitting and wifi to come work. Its always full, want to grab a coffee or some fresh baked goods or chocolates wow this place have it all. The bakery is open at end and you can see chefs working on goods. Date, to get some work done or just come and get your thoughts together this place is a perfect spot in west loop.

Came here around 12:30pm on a Sunday and the coffee shop was at about 80% capacity. By 1:30pm there were a few spots left at the bar in the back. This is a cute coffee shop with great pastries and coffee. I like coming here and bringing a book or my lap top and doing work. Highly recommend the chocolate croissant!

I'm french and when I saw the chocolate croissant they seemed very nice even though 3 times more expensive than in France, but when I tasted it what a disappointment... It was as if it had been on the shelf for 2 days or more, dry, cold, the crust tastes bitter. The chai tea latte was good though and the ambiance is nice.

Meet up with some friends for coffee and pastries here. Easy to get to from the #8 bus in Halsted. The line for pastries and coffee is long (almost to the door), but it moves quickly. The Ham & Cheese croissant was tasty and went surprisingly well with the Double Chocolate Croissant. Wi-Fi is available for free. Seating can be tough since there is no time limit on staying there, but if you're patient, you'll find a cozy spot to sit. The unisex bathrooms are clean and have paper towels, which was nice.

The coffee at Good Ambler was decent. In terms of bakeries, the spéculos cookie tasted a bit dry, but their brownie had a great rich and nutty flavor. The interior of the cafe is very modern and cozy, and it’s a great spot for studying and working with a ton of seating available.

I am obsessed with this place. I’ve tried so many croissants here and I’m always blown away. I haven’t found another croissant in Chicago that compares to the ones here. The coffee is some of the best in Chicago. The ambience is so cute too. In the back you can watch them make chocolate. I met the manager here and she is so sweet and gave me all the Chicago recommendations I haven’t tried. I’ll be spending so much of my time here For more coffee reviews following my Instagram: Audrey.Pulliam

Tough to write a review for this one. Clean, curved lines, timber lofted ceilings, and natural tones set the backdrop for a contemporary theme with hints of Old Chicgao. Enjoyed the atmosphere! Seating isn’t incredibly comfortable but the community-style layout encourages conversation with neighbors and creates a warm environment. Management needs to pay more attention to staff training and operations. The menu on the chalkboard behind the register isn’t in use anymore so when I ordered they didn’t have those menu items available. Tried to put cream in my coffee and the cream was out. Wanted a slice of banana bread and they said I had to buy a whole loaf - why? Hours of operation aren’t great. On the other hand the salmon lox sandwich I had was very good!! So was the banana bread - tip of the hat to chef there. Chips on the side was an odd choice given the mood of the place. Coffee tasted a bit burnt. Pretty common in the afternoon when the coffee sits out. Almost a four out of five!

I love the vibe here. The strawberry and cream croissant was awesome! The latte was decent. It was difficult to find seating if you want to dine in though. We ended up sitting by the kitchen and got to see how all the pastries were made, which was fun!

Great spot for coffee, hang out, and work/read/write with more quiet spacious interior and comfy seating. I got london fog and chocolate croissant and both were absolutely very enjoyable. I absolutely love the vibe, bright and open, and definitely will be coming here more often. Their wifi is free but limited to 1.5 hours per day.

Hands down the best coffee shop I have been to recently. Good Ambler was on my bucket list for a while, so super excited that I finally got to try it out. If you are lookin for a picture perfect coffee shop with delicious coffee and baked goods this is your place to be. Absolutely loved the interiors. It's so welcoming and cozy with plenty of seating space. I could be here all day. We tried the chocolate croissant, coffee cake , latte, smoked salmon sandwich, and caprese sandwich . The croissant was so flaky, light, and delicious. The coffee cake was amazing. Both the honey and vanilla latte was just what we need. Beautiful latte art on each of them and the fresh coffee tasted amazing . Both the sandwiches were so delicious. They have so many baked goods and delicious pastry options and each one looks so pretty. I can't wait to come back here and try other things on their menu.

It's a great place to have a breakfast. Pastries are very good and coffee is ok. Also the atmosphere is quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, if you go too late in the morning, the choice for foods could be very little.

A cozy and pleasant bakery/cafe with 10/10 work-from-home vibes. The space was a lot bigger than I thought with diverse and ample seating. I went on a Saturday morning and found it to be quite packed. Since I went solo, I didn’t have much trouble finding a seat; however, if you went with more people you may have to share tables or wait until one frees up. The coffee is wonderful and the coffee cake is very flavorful and fluffy. The bakery display is filled with so many treats, it will def be hard to choose just one! For those who are looking to do work here, the ambience and volume is not too overwhelming. They have wifi too :)

This was a nice little stop. The deserts and chocolates are out of this world. There are loads of seats here and I appreciate the fact they take the order while you can see all the pastries. I got the Tres Leches and I won't lie I thought it would be dry. I lived in Texas and have had some delicious Tres Leches and this one the milk wasn't visible driving my concern. Well I was very wrong it was amazing. After breaking the chocolate shell it's encased in milk poured out. You can see it in the picture I took with the blueberry compote mixture. I got a mocha and latte. The mocha was great, just the right mixture of bitter and sweet. The coffees and the atmosphere is wonderful. There is lots of space if you want to set up and work.

Great shop tucked away on a side street in Fulton Market. They have a great selection of deserts and chocolates. The space is huge and looks like it’s in the same building as maybe the Mondelez corporate offices. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Definitely a chill vibe in the late afternoon/evening when I stopped in.

Hands down the best coffee shop I’ve ever been to. Impeccable service, quality ingredients on all the food items, great coffee, and the most beautiful seating space/design!! A++++++++. Will definitely come back. Outlets for a quick work session aplenty, comfy seating, and nicely lit space. The macaroons and coffee were so good and even more exciting were the food options. The BLTA is SO GOOD, and all the ingredients were so fresh and tasty.

Nothing special other than the space is huge w lots of seating and it’s dog friendly. The ice matcha latte was bland and gross, and the veggie quiche was just okay, took them exactly 20 minutes to have it ready. Easily accessible.

If you're looking for a great coffee spot with an unbeatable ambiance, look no further than Good Ambler in Fulton Market. From the moment you walk in, you'll be struck by the cool, laid-back vibe of the place, with a cozy, yet modern feel that's perfect for working, socializing, or just enjoying your coffee. The baristas are always friendly and knowledgeable, and the coffee is top-notch. However, the only downside is the paper straw, which doesn't hold up over the duration of the drink. It's also counterintuitive to have the coffee in a plastic cup when the focus is on sustainability. However, this is a small issue in the grand scheme of things. The espresso drinks are fantastic, and the drip coffee is always fresh and flavorful. Overall, Good Ambler is a fantastic coffee spot that is perfect for anyone looking for a cozy, relaxed atmosphere to enjoy a great cup of coffee. While the paper straws are a small issue, it's a price worth paying for the delicious coffee and welcoming vibe. I highly recommend giving it a try!

These might be some of the best pastries in a mile radius, which is saying a lot in Chicago! I was only in town for one night during this trip, and regret not having stomach space to order more. Definitely pop in for a beautifully laminated pastry!
