First time ever going here.. close to my brothers house. It was pretty nice, but also packed. Clear water. Everyone respected the space. Kids played and enjoyed the water. A nice place for the entire family. The kids even met a few little fish 🐠 friends!

A previous reviewer said that this location is a perfect little gem in Portage, couldn't agree more! The water is super clear and clean, the beach sand is perfect, fine sand and the location is stunning! this beach and lake is perfect for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, and just an overall relaxing day!! We came here 3 years ago when my son was around 2 years old and came back this weekend. It is such a perfect, serene getaway that is usually not very busy (surprisingly!). The lifeguards are an amazing group of people who help to keep the area safe and family-friendly (they even disciplined some kids for swearing while in the water).

Nice place to spend family time! Beach is well cared for & clean! They have an outdoor "shower" which would be nice to rince the sand off, but it has been off the 2 times we have gone, even though during posted hours. Both times were in the evening, so maybe after employee hours, which is understandable.

Best beach around! Water slide, large restrooms, rinse off shower (not enclosed), snack hut, nice sandy beach, and a nice playground to boot. There's even an area a little further around the lake near the boat ramp for fishing! But best of all, the people have always been super polite and nice.

With the exception of these little snot-nosed kids whose babysitter didn't give two toots about their behaviors at the boat landing, we had a great time. Other boaters wave were mindful of other boaters who are on kayaks and paddle boards. The fish weren't biting tonight but good times made up for it.

I love going to the beach and floating around on my swimming device. It's so friendly and such a great place to be. It's also dog friendly so we can bring our dog along and watch her have fun too.
