Overall pretty decent recent construction. The bathrooms in some units will get mildew quickly if you don’t leave the doors open, the circulation isn’t great. Biggest issue was with the property manager who screwed me to the tune or an extra months rent over because she wasn’t paying attention and made a commitment she couldn’t actually keep. Oh and when I was moving out I noticed they were training a new handyman with a Celtic cross and 1488 tattoo on his calf. Frankly that should be disqualifying until someone has it removed or at least covered up. Good lord.

Best Tour Yet -- Thanks Riley! Riley was awesome walking the property with me to get a feel for the place, in addition to the beautiful apartment model of the O'Keefe floor plan. I ask a lot of questions on tours, and she answered them all. More than that, Riley was personable and friendly. I had someone start my application while I drove home the next day, these availabilities move fast! Bridget, the property manager, has been fantastic answering my further questions and working to get my lease and all information complete. I can't wait to move in at the end of the month! My husband and i moved here from Florida 6 months ago and we love it. Bridget and office team are awesome. We have no complaints at all. From signing the lease to moving in and now living here has been a wonderful experience. Love my apt just as seen online. Haven't had any issue regarding maintenance, or neighbors. Very nice and peaceful place with a lot of activities for tenants.

The Lafayette is an exceptional apartment complex. I have lived in many apartments but the Lafayette has hand down been the best experience and has offered the highest quality of life. The value we receive here through the quality of apartments, amenities (Pool, Sauna, Gym, etc) and professional onsite management makes it hard to find a better place to live in the Madison/Fitchburg area.

My boyfriend and I have lived here for a year and a half and we plan on staying here until we buy a house. The apartments here are beautiful and up to date. The location is also great and pretty quiet. The staff is super friendly and always respond very quickly. We've had maintenance come to our unit a few times and they always come right away and are very kind, respectful, and get the job done right and very quickly. Like I said, we plan on staying here a long time so no complaints!

The staff at The Lafayette Apartments are friendly and approachable, going above and beyond to accommodate the residents here! The maintenance team is super helpful, they have hung curtains, unclogged my shower drain, moved heavy boxes and furniture. Genuinely happy to help! I moved here while I was finishing my nursing degree and I am thankful for all of the amenities; the clubhouse, quiet library space, yoga studio, gym, pool, sauna, free printing and coffee, I have used them ALL! The apartments are well taken care of, up to date and well appointed. The location can't be beat! Walking and bike trails right outside your door, yet conveniently located to downtown Madison without downtown sticker shock! Truly an amazing property in a great location!

Bridget is an outstanding director who truly cares about the experiences of residents. She is always understanding and quick to help resolve issues that might come up. Her leadership helps set the tone for staff who are all very friendly and maintain a safe and inclusive environment for residents. I've been renting in Madison since 2013 and living in Lafayette townhomes has been the best overall experience I've had. The maintenance team is very professional and timely. The offered amenities are the best in the area and staff have events throughout the year for residents. This location is kid friendly and there are parks and trails all around the area. Living here has been a 5 star experience for my family.

Update: going into year three at the Lafayette Apartment Homes and this community is still a great place to live. Maintenance is always quick to respond to requests and friendly in their response. I have lived at the Layfayette Apartment Homes for approximately five months. So far, my experience has been fantastic. The location is perfect - about 10 minutes to anywhere you want to be in the Madison area, including Capital Square. All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Maintenance has been responsive in fixing any issues with the unit with most issues fixed within 24 hours of reporting. Lastly, the amenities at this property are second to none. If you are looking for a fun place to live in the Madison area to meet new people, Layfayette Apartment Homes is the place for you. No this is not a paid promotion, but it should be.

I absolutely have loved my experience living at The Lafayette apartments! The amenities are what originally drew me to the place and have really exceeded my expectations. It is so convenient having everything in one place; I never have to leave during the snowy days!! The maintenance and management were very responsive and I could tell they really cared about me having a positive experience from the start. The staff has always been so kind and helpful! I'm very excited to live here another year!!
