👍👍 I recently visited St. Francis de Sales Oratory and was simply overwhelmed by the beauty of this colossal structure. This church is so gorgeous! I came here for the first time during the Holy Thursday night prayers and it was so amazing with the monks chanting in Latin and the dimmed gothic style church. I couldn’t help but cry with how beautiful it was.

I recently visited St. Francis de Sales Oratory and was simply overwhelmed by the beauty of this colossal structure. The stunning architecture and craftsmanship are a true testament to the devotion of the parishioners who built it more than one hundred years ago as well as the rich Catholic tradition that has been a part of the City of St. Louis since its founding. If you’re in the area, I️ highly recommend that you pay a visit to this wonderful place of worship.

This Church was gorgeous. The amazing interior designed in the German Gothic Revival style was very beautiful, with its ornate craftsmanship, mosaics, and stained glass. I went here twice and I can say that this is my favorite Church in St. Louis.

I’ve worked in or visited well over five hundred churches in my seventeen year career. I can say without hesitation this is one of the top five most beautiful and historically significant church buildings I have ever had the pleasure of visiting, working in, and worshiping in. I had the pleasure of singing with the choir this past weekend in addition to my duties of installing the ‘new’ pipe organ. I am moved beyond words on a daily basis. This institution is both a spiritual and architectural gem of St. Louis.

This breathtaking church brings me to tears every time I see it. Even seeing the steeple from afar makes me anticipate seeing the inside. Visit this church! Always open to the public during the day. I love this place and highly recommend you visit

This place overwhelms you with its interior beauty and seeming magnitude. It is indeed enormous, but the altarpieces, the pillars, and superabundance of stained glass all contrive to stupefy the senses and make you sit back in awe and wonder. I did not stay for a mass, but I could tell even from the dress and gait of the servers that they held liturgy in highest esteem. Praise God for the Roman Catholic Church and its tradition!

Absolutely gorgeous church! One of the few great old churches restored from the early days if St. Louis. They perform the Latin Mass here and it is wonderfully done. They even put on choral shows and concerts with their extremely talented choir and organist/composer.

It's a growing community and I'm proud to be a part of it. We feel so lucky to have such a beautiful parish. Canon Coggeshall, the Rector, is a true spiritual Father. My wife and I feel at home here and look forward to each Mass we get to attend. If you're new to the parish or visiting, I highly recommend attending the 10:30am high mass on Sunday and staying for the coffee hour in the basement afterwards.

This has to be the most beautiful church I have ever been in. And the Mass was amazing!

One of the most beautiful churches I have every attended mass at. My wife and I attended the Rorate Caeli mass, a devotion to the Blessed Mother. If you are traveling through St. Louis this church is well worth the visit. The high altar is beautiful and the stained glass windows are amazing.

One of the absolute crowns of St. Louis! If I lived anywhere near St. Louis, this would be my parish. I loved my visit though. This parish/oratory is like entering heaven and kneeling at the throne of the king, a perfect place for prayer!

Amazing Church! Beautiful, and highly comparable to many in Europe. ■Parking is ROUGH. Be careful, mostly (if not all) Street parking. ■Lots of steps, they do have an elevator, though it's supper tiny. ■Floor looks like it's seen better days. ■The architecture and design is spectacular! ■Lots of pews in large sections. ■Latin Mass ■Wonderful acoustics ■Reverent Canons and well trained Alter Servers ■The basement hall has better bathrooms then the upstairs (single and tiny by the back of the church) I was warned about the area around the church, thankfully nothing bad happened.

I attended low Mass here with my son. I think it's the most beautiful church he's ever seen. Catholic theology in stone and glass.

Great Community. The liturgy is always focused on God and how to do it to the fullest. They don’t do something unless they can do it the finest. Has a quality music program trained by a professional music director that allows visiting musicians on special occasions. One of the best TLM communities in St.Louis.

This church has been beautifully and painstakingly restored to its 110 + year old glory. I feel like I step back in time when I enter. Mass is celebrated in the extraordinary form (Latin). People who attend are from all walks of life and are very friendly and helpful if you're not sure what to expect or how to follow along.

It is a beautiful church. The priest and nuns were all very welcoming. We had the opportunity to hear a organ concert and it was very good. It was a special outing for our family to see where our father had been baptized 87 years ago. If you like architecture I would highly recommend a visit

Gorgeous church. Using my wife's words: I really feel like I have been to Mass when I attend here. I myself always feel blessed when I leave here after Mass. Although a drive for us from Illinois, we try to attend at a minimum of 2-3 times a month. We are registered here. If visiting, don't be shy. Ask anyone for assistance. We all be glad to assist you when you visit. After Mass, go church basement and enjoy coffee and donuts. Chat with us.

A wonderfully detailed neo-gothic styled church. The atmosphere inside simply fills the soul with peace. Even the most stubborn of Atheists will leave feeling a connection with the Divine.

Stunning church lovely to visit, not the best neighborhood so don't go alone. Definitely worth seeing

The church itself is magnificent, as is the solemn Latin mass. As a non-catholic, I've been several times with my in-laws. It can be an emotional experience. My only warning is to be prepared for the sounds of multiple crying infants the entire ceremony during morning Sunday mass. The acoustics of the building are such that the sound carries from every room. If you haven't experienced the Latin mass before, I recommend one of the less attended services to best appreciate it.

Absolutely stunning, both physically and in the experience of the mass here. A masterful organist and a truly stellar choir will bring you to the heights of heaven. Phenomenal crowd, wonderful welcoming people, and super family friendly.

Beautiful church. It is not your standard Catholic church. I was born and raised and still practice my Catholic faith. This church is Roman Catholic but the mass was quite different from every other Roman Catholic mass I have ever attended.

Visited this church when traveling, and it was such a church! Latin mass was beautiful, and it felt like going back in time to 1963 before Vatican II happened. If you are ever passing by, you should definitely go!

Extremely beautiful architecture! Excellent priests. Highly reverent Traditional Latin Mass.
