As soon as my girlfriend and I walked through the door, we were so blessed by the Christian decor, open Bible, and prayer tree. We learned that Miss Loretta just passed into glory with the Lord, but her family and friends that are still running the establishment were so kind and friendly. It made us feel like family as well, which I believe testifies to the legacy Miss Loretta left behind. I can't forget to mention that the beignets were the best we had in New Orleans and we will definitely be back, if not this trip then the next. May the Lord continue to bless this business and its people!!

Just had my first fried chicken beignets... forget it, Chick-fil-A... this thing is so good! Also breakfast beignet and traditional beignets. Honestly the best we've ever had. Don't miss this spot.

One of my favourite breakfasts in New Orleans Only a short walk from the quarter, you can get some of the best Beignets and Pralines in the city. The breakfast Beignets are delicious, as are the crab ones. Praline or chocolate and praline Beignets for dessert. Great iced coffee and friendly service too A must visit for New Orleans

These are the the best beignets I have ever had, periodt. Crab (1), seafood (2 both shrimp and catfish), cheeseburger (2), chicken tenders (2 dark meat), and traditional (3)... they were ALL amazing! The Tiger Woods beverage was sooo good! We also ordered a sweet potato pie, chocolate praline, and peanut butter praline to go. Forget the hype and popularity of other places, Loretta's is the best. Seriously.

This place is absolutely beautiful. She may be gone but she left her love here. I wish I could have met this beautiful woman in person. I bought a 6 pack and all the flavors was absolutely wonderful. The young lady who served me was so sweet and polite. I love how they wrapped the pralines up.

It was my first time trying this place and I will be back. The beignets were fresh, flaky and delicious. I love that they are made out of croissants. The praline flavor is a must try and a fab of our group. The regular beignet flavor is delicious as well. I also tried the crab and it was good!

Let’s talk Southern Hospitality, this is the place! So warm and welcome you’d think you came home to a long lost family member. The menu is diverse, several types of beignets and pralines. Coffee pretty great and the sweet potato pie stole my heart. The owner herself is kind and welcoming.

First time visitor! Ordered chocolate, peanut butter pralines and the sweet potato cookies! Everything was delicious and I really enjoyed the sweet potato cookie, sweet and savory and a bit spicy! The pralines weren’t overly sweet (teeth-aching sweet) which was nice! The sweet potato cookies would be great as a gift as well if you’re going to a dinner! Old school cafe/diner charm, complete with a cool old-school neon sign. A neighborhood staple and now I see why! I will definitely be back to pickup more!

I love beignets and this was my 1st time trying another besides Cafe du Monde. I would say these are great too. The dough is crisper and flaky than the other with i particularly enjoyed. Also the parline stuffed beignet was sooooo good as well as the crab beignet.

Going to Ms Loretta’s every time we are in NOLA is an ABSOLUTE MUST!!!! And not the one in the French Market, but the one on Rampart! Those praline filled beignets are nothing to play with. But what about the crab filled beignets, or the fried chicken beignets, or the chocolate beignets????? Oh my GREAT GOODNESS….don’t skip this foodie’s delight. You’re welcome!!!!!

Very quaint and lovely place. We went here for breakfast and really enjoyed it. It's a decent walk from Bourbon Street, just outside the French Quarter. We ordered coffee, praline bignets, and shrimp and fish bignets. All were really delicious. Service was wonderful.

I highly recommend going here when you're in New Orleans. The beignet was so good. Customer service was excellent. I loved all of the beignets I ordered so much that I went back the next day to try a different one. Oh yeah the sweet potato cookie was so yummy.

I had a beignet from Cafe Dumond a day before and it was meh! I found Loretta’s today and I’m in heaven!! This is clearly not a tourist destination and is not in the French Quarter. However, the delicacies are worth the travel. I had a chocolate filled and my wife had a crab filled beignet. They were both sweet, light and the crab was so perfectly seasoned that it didn’t require whatever the sauce was they served it with. Plus an added bonus the iced coffee was on point! This is the place to come if you’re looking for a local black owned business to support and to get beignets at an extremely affordable price. We had 4 beignets, an iced coffee and hot chocolate and spent $22. There are twelve small French cafe tables and the entire spot is very clean and airy. Note - the location on Rampart St. Is not open on Sundays but the extremely pleasant counterperson told us they have a location in the French Market that is open on Sunday.

I can’t imagine a better bite of food than the praline stuffed beignets. The sweet potato cookies are a gem that left my husband talking for a week. The praline is amazing of course but the breakfast beignets still live in my dreams. This is always the first place I recommend when visiting New Orleans.

Please don’t tell all the other places, but Loretta’s has the best beignets in New Orleans. I know that’s a bold statement but they are just the fluffiest and that’s what I want in my beignets. (If you want doughey then go to Cafe Du Monde). We came here a few minutes before 9 and they opened right on time so that made us first in line. Beyond the traditional sugar beignets, I also tried the breakfast beignets with eggs and sausage. That was amazing! So skip the lines, go a little out of the way and you will be richly rewarded. I really liked the authentic atmosphere too.

My husband and I stopped at Loretta’s on our way out of New Orleans back to NY and boy do we wish we came sooner. Having tried 2 other popular local places for beignets, Miss Loretta’s was like no other! If we came a few days prior we absolutely would’ve come back every day! Slightly flaky, crispy yet soft inside- literal perfection. The breakfast beignet was delightful and the traditional praline beignet was deliciously sweet, as was the original praline we snagged! All of the staff were so friendly and greeted with a smile. If you’re in New Orleans, coming to Loretta’s is a MUST TRY!

Saw a YouTube video of big freesia promoting his favorite black owned restaurants and Nola decided to try this one based on recommendation. Had the seafood beignet. Basically a seafood po boy but the bread is a beignet. This sandwich was one of the best meals I had in New orleans. The seafood was light crispy fresh and fried just right. The beignet was light airy crispy the sauce was a great compliment to the sandwich. The small restaurant was clean and quiet with an old timey feel to it. Service was with a 😃. Just a good place to check out when visiting. I didn't try the pralines but they looked scrumptious.

Delicious and freshly made beignets~~ I ordered the burger and praline beignets and praline cookies. 5 beignets later and I'm stuffed! The burger ones were delicious, tasted wonderful and felt lighter than normal sliders because of the beignets instead of the buns. The praline beignets were scrumptious - I have a sweet tooth and these definitely hit the spot! I paired my praline beignets with milk and loved it! Definitely coming back for more before I leave!

I was blown away by the sausage egg and cheese breakfast beignet! The regular beignet was delicious too. The praline one was too sweet for me and my kid but the spouse ate them. My only regret is that I didn't manage to get back during my trip.

Excellent food and coffee that were served remarkably quick; a mandatory stop! The praline beignets were absolutely outstanding.

The only place I get beignets! Service is great! The food is SPECTACULAR! It was brunch so I got breakfast and lunch beignets. The crab beignet is to die for! And the praline and chocolate ones made me lose my mind! Don't go anywhere else!

Amazing!!! Beignets are made fresh to order and are delicious and flaky. We went back the next day and the main worker remembered us and was so nice and engaging both days. Iced coffee was great, praline cookies were sinfully good, and we got traditional, praline, and bacon, egg & cheese beignets and they were all delicious. Will absolutely be back the next time we can make it to New Orleans!

The best place for pralines I enjoyed myself here the staff was friendly and it was not many people in the dining area this day but the staff was busy filling call in orders however they still had time to talk and answer all my questions about them and the area

The handcrafted beignets were truly a delight! The effort and care that go into creating these pillowy, fried pastries are nothing short of culinary magic. Each bite was a sweet, fluffy indulgence that reflects the skill and passion of the late Loretta’s legacy. Whether you enjoy a dusting of powdered sugar, fried chicken, or fish, handcrafted beignets are a taste of pure, homemade joy. #lorettapralines

Skip the other popular places for beignets and go HERE! These were PHENOMENAL! Piping hot and covered in powder sugar. They also offered different drizzles or fillings for your beignets. And grab some pralines to take home.
