Fun and creative bar with an equally unique menu to match the eccentric nature of the bar. Salmon Guru offers a playful experience down to the fine details of it's online menu (which is quite fun to peruse around for a moment). Tried a wide variety of drinks, the highlight being the creative presentation of certain drinks which you can easily identify based on the menu visual. Will note that many drinks were quite sweet but the flavors such as the Horus were quite unique. The drinks itself were good but I will say the main highlight is the unique presentation. Will recommend ordering a couple different ones to show off in your pictures. My favorite visually was the dragon!

Salmon Guru is the only bar in Madrid that is featured in the World's Top 50 Bars list. Knowing that the place would be very busy, we still have it a go. We were lucky to be seated after waiting for less than 10 minutes. The bar has a buzz and vibe. It was busy, as expected. The decor was very interesting. And added to the charm of the bar. The menu was thematic and one wanted to try almost everything on the menu. Service was very attentive. Great job everyone at Salmon Guru. Really stellar service. The cocktails were a miss. We would possibly try something else on the menu next time. But if you are ever in Madrid, do go here.

This is the notorious and amazing Salmon Guru in Madrid! Ranked as # 22 best bars in the world this place lives up to the hype. The atmosphere is electrifying right when you walk in the doors. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and the drinks are amazing! My favorite was the super classic! If your in Madrid and looking for fun with great music this is a place you have to visit!

Must do for cocktails. Very busy place, a wait outside of about 20min when we visited, but could be longer at busier times. Fun cocktails, unique glassware & cool interactive menu. Staff were amazing to watch from the bar seats, can’t believe they make so many cocktails so quickly! Worth a visit

This bar has great décor and vibes. The menu seemed well thought out and had a fun story, however, I did not feel that any of my drinks were all that good. I got three drinks in total, only one of them was decent, not good but decent. While the service and atmosphere were amazing I did not feel that it made up for the lackluster drinks. I think most average restaurants, have a signature drink that is better. There were many other places in the area that are probably just as good and don't have a line.

What can I say, it’s ranked as the 22nd best bar in the world and it much deserves such accolade. Drinks were very innovative, served with amazing presentations, and best of all… service was amazing. They kept refilling our water glasses and chips all the time with a smile. Definitely worth going, even if there’s a line outside. The only negative point was we ordered a side of chicken since we were a bit hungry and it wasn’t worth the price. But the drinks, between 11-14 euros each, were of great price / value for me. I’ll definitely come back

This is a truly unique cocktail experience. Usually places with these over the top presentations leave a bit to be desired in the quality of the cocktail itself. Not this place. And if you want to get a more typical cocktail you can do that. Everything we tried on the menu was unique and delicious. A place like this would be the talk of the town in San Francisco. Highly recommend. One of the best cocktail bars I've ever been to. So good we ended up going two days in a row! Don't sleep on the food either! We only order the tuna tataki but it was fantastic!

Extravagant and exotic cocktail bar that is super quirky and the atmosphere is just great. Their cocktails were quite unique. There was not a single cocktail that was similar to anything else I have tried anywhere else and the bartenders were cool people. They always kept one glass full of tap water and they also gave you some chips while you were having your cocktail. The music was nice and generally speaking people around 20 to 40 or so are the ones coming to Salmon Guru. I would imagine going with a group of friends would make things a lot better but I enjoyed it by myself and i met some nice people there. Note that it is not a very cheap place to drink alcohol but it isn't expensive either. The most important thing when visiting Salmom guru is to understand that it id an unique experience that you need to have when in Madrid.

Deserving its accolades, this place is a must while in Madrid. If you care about what goes in your drink, if you care about a place that just oozes in creativity and speaks to your inner child, if you want to have a nice drinking evening or an after dinner cocktail, this is the place. Every drink we had was original, interesting and crafted to perfection. The place is kitschy but in soo many good ways. I was not even bothered by the dragon hologram. Being ranked in the world top 50, you would think it’s impossible to get in, but the queue is never too long outside. Worth it!

Absolutely incredible bar. I came here twice and both times were great. Every drink I had was delicious. Their paloma was my favorite but the tequila Al pastor drink was also very good. Their food is not bad either with the chicken being very juicy. I recommend stopping by for a few drinks at least once.

Salmon guru is one of the world's 50 Best bars. Why? The cocktails have a good reason to be called cocktails and not weird juice with alcohol, as I see in other places. Each cocktail I tried was fabulous, delicious, and beautiful. Real Art. The food was also incredible. We had to wait 30 minutes, no way to book a table, but it was totally worth it.

Super interesting experience. Be prepared that there is a line to the bar in the evening, but you could easily be seated when they just open. They have a bid variety of tasty cocktails including non alcohol. Average price is ~12€ for a drink. The stuff is always friendly and attentive .

Been on my radar for a long time - did not disappoint. Excellent service, delicious food, and exquisite cocktails. Attention to detail is ridiculous at Salmon Guru - their menu is extremely impressive with most drinks shown as 3D animated graphics which you can use AR to project how drink will look on table. I tried three cocktails, each beautifully presented in custom made… vessels? including a giant smoke breathing dragon and a poison dart frog. My third drink came with a rosemary smoke filled glass dome, which would have been nice to take off myself and the presentation plate was quickly taken away presumably to be reused for another order. Not possible to make reservations - I walked in on a Sunday at 7pm alone and got a spot pretty quickly but imagine weekends are basically impossible. Reservation system would be cool.

First time in Madrid and YOU have to go! It’s the cutest little spot with amazing drinks & food. The drinks are great & unique. Every drink is carefully curated & the explain everything about it before serving. IT WAS FIRE!! The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. This place is amongst of the Top 50 world’s best bars. The interiors are so quirky & they have snakes in jars, also the staff is the friendliest. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. It is definitely pricey but worth your money.

Drinks were very good, food was tasty. And for a place with this kind of critical review expected price to be sky high, but it's cheaper then drinks in Alaska and they are better. Highly recommend

Absolutely the best bar in Madrid! Although we had to wait a bit for a table which was understandable since we didn’t reserve any, the staff made sure to do their best to get us seated as soon as possible. The drinks are super cool and the whole atmosphere is great! Absolutely recommend it!

Came to Madrid for the first time with a friend and found this cocktail bar. Brilliant vibe. Came at a good time so didn’t have to queue that long. The setting is great, the cocktails were delicious. But the staff members were really what made us enjoy the bar the most. Matias and Mateo were the most friendly bartenders and I would recommend anyone going to this bar!

6 stars if I could! Amazing cocktails and great service! Everyone is in a great mood and truly makes the experience so much better. The ambiance is lovely. Came here on our last night in Madrid and I can’t wait to be back! Cocktails are super creative and the presentation is just 😍 the waitress that served us was very sweet explaining each drink and filling our water glasses. Truly a fabulous place for a drink!

Salmon Guru holds a high position on the World's 50 Best Bars list for a reason. Their drinks command respect through flavor and presentation. You'll be ordering from an interactive menu and served house specialty cocktails in creative drink ware from flowers to dragons to beetles. Their menu is easy to understand as its split into taste categories. Arrive early and go on a weeknight if you want to avoid crowds. The interior is beautiful and the chairs are comfortable so it's worth your wait to visit. You'll be served an experience.

Lots of fancy drinks and dishes to choose from. My issue was none of them being “best in the world”, which is as a major turnoff. Restaurant looks awesome, the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is a big plus. Highly recommended to try out their exotic drinks, but I just didn’t find them tasty despite trying out multiple positions from the menu.

We arrived at 4pm just as they were opening so there wasn't a line, we just had to wait for each group to be seated at first. My husband and I both had 2 drinks each and we shared a few small plates. The food is Asian flavor inspired and I gotta say they all tasted very good. I particularly enjoyed the duck and the cold ramen. The drinks were really good. The price was very reasonable (at least compared to what I'm used to back home), and they are very creative. They're definitely not making just the traditional cocktails, but they're adding their own twist to them. I particularly enjoy the fact that a lot of their drinks is paired with a little bite. Alcohol can often be so well paired with foods that having a small bite of something to open the palate can enhance your experience. The atmosphere and vibe is also really nice and fun. I'd definitely recommend it to come by for a drink maybe before dinner or something.

Delicious drinks with a mixologist vibe hard to find in Madrid. Totally unique drinks and the vibe is sensory overload! So many things to see and so many delicious drinks. Leave the gun and try the Cannoli.

The experience was good, cocktails were well served and were tasty. But not sure if this place should be in top50 bars in the world. The menu wasn't interactive anymore, the serving wasn't so interesting like you can find on photos in reviews (for us, it was pretty classic serve with basic garnish). Music was good but a bit too loud. Good place but pretty usual (like many bars) at this moment. Maybe they changes something.

Great cocktails! Went here straight after dinner (22h on a Saturday) and only had to wait 2 minutes. Great service and so many show elements. Ended up having three cocktails each, was a little much but so worth it!

Great bar with friendly staff and intriguing drink stories. A bit pricey, but the cozy atmosphere and creative decor make it worth a visit. We had to wait pretty long at the entrance though.

A fun, upbeat bar with delicious and extremely creative cocktails and delicious tapas. The inside has a cool vibe as well. One of the most interesting bars we visited in Madrid. The drinks and tapas are also reasonably priced. The bar is very popular, so you may have to wait in line for entry as they do not accept reservations. Totally worth the wait!

  • 5/5 Niels K. 2 years ago on Google
Unique, quirky and highly delicious. Amazing cocktail experience, but no reservations possible, so you'll have to try your luck at the door and probably have your name written on the wait list. Do it though, it's worth the wait!

The cocktails are very amazing and the staffs are so friendly as well, the atmosphere is very chic! Go early is better than go late otherwise you will wait at least 2.5 hours Definitely need to try!

Quirky bar with offbeat yet delicious cocktails. The decor and warm service definitely made it a memorable experience. However, the odd American rock music in the background and flavourless sides (Patatas Bravas and a spring roll dish) left much to be desired. The bar could also do with a better booking system for an establishment that's rated as one of the top 50 bars in the world. Overall a solid 4/5 👍

Awesome bar. Loved their cocktails! It is a must in Madrid. I recommend to book in advance, otherwise the wait is from 1 hour to 1:30 hours. But it was worth the wait! Their drinks menu was amazing, super creative. Good finger food as well (fried fish, toasts, and eggplants with cheese sauce) and there were always some complimentary spiced chips. Friendly and efficient staff. Prices were good for the quality and the innovation of the drinks.

Excellent cocktails; amazing decoration/music. A very different and exciting place with delicious drinks. We would say around 12€ average price for a drink.

YES, YES, YES. This place caught my eye because its name made me laugh (I mean...) and when I found out it was supposed to be one of the best cocktail bars in the world, I *had* to go. No bookings possible, so we went on a Friday around 18:00, put our names on a waiting list, were told it would be at least an hour's wait, but actually they called us about 10 minutes later to tell us our table was already available. The place is fun, has a great atmosphere, and the cocktails are amazing - both in taste and presentation. I had the Sangre de los Dioses (because I can't refuse a good mezcal cocktail) and it was incredible. Would have loved to try more but we were short on time, so it's definitely a date next time I'm in Madrid!

An awesome place to go get a cocktail in an unusual presentation. The cocktails themselves are very good The service is over the top : getting you chips and water without the need to ask. Waiters/waitresses are really nice and smilling Will cost you a bit more than the average Madrid bar but it's worth it

Cannot miss a visit to this trendy cocktail bar! The atmosphere has an artsy, chic vibe and the cocktails are very creative and delicious. It fills up quick so make sure you go early if you just want to grab a cocktail and experience this awesome place.
