👍👍 Super nice tapas bar. Welcoming, friendly service and cheap. The portions are large. Free bread and unlimited refill, was so delicious to dip them in the garlic oil and tomato sauce. A great spot we saw on our first day in Madrid. Happy we had a chance to eat here. Service is fast here and the staff was great. We were seated in an almost empty restaurant around 3 pm on a Thursday and the place was full within 20 minutes. The grilled goat cheese was amazing and the texture changed with every bite as it went from hot to cool. Cod with garlic shrimp was delicious and the cod was super flaky. The bread was perfect for soaking up the leftover olive oil. The crispy boar rolls were amazing along with the portobello mushroom sauce. The squid strips were lightly fried and very tender. The cheesecake is a must. Very dense/gritty texture and less sweet than what I’ve had in the US. Incredible food from beginning to end.

The cod and duck was a bit on the salty side, but I think it still deserves full marks because of the great experience and value for money. Recommended!

This is a really cool spot and has so many great options to snack or to combine for a truly satisfying meal. Try the eggplant, our favorite of the night. Everything we tried was excellent to include our quite unique cheesecake dessert which was like a cross between cheesecake and flan. Yummy.

Visited this tapas bar on our first night in Madrid - what a great find! Excellent food and very fast service. Had to wait a bit for a table but so worth it. Recommend the crispy boar roll and the Tapa Breton!

The restaurant is next to San Miguel. The goat cheese dish is quite good. Shrimp & blackcod is also more than average. The atmosphere is not so overwhelming, but it is a good place to try

We stumbled upon this place after our visit to the “Palacio Real and what a surprise… From the moment we walked in we were greeted and seated immediately, even without reservation. We asked for suggestions on what to order and oh my! Everything was delicious but I forgot to take some pictures! Sorry it was so good that we eat it all before I remembered. From the welcoming staff, the ambiance, the drinks and the food! This place is a must and probably the best tapas in Madrid! Thank you!

Very cozy, nice staff but little bit crowded. Great food not so expensive. It looks like local hip place.

Nice tapas, quick service! For sure try the goat cheese tapa that won the award in 2013! It is amazing! Fast service friendly staff. I would suggest making a reservation just in case because it might not have seating free. Good interior, funny table photos! Take a passport photo and "contribute" to the table ahhaha. A type of bar that is hard to notice from the outside but very worth it. If you are tall, watch your head going out..i learned it the hard way!😂

Really great experience. We arrived without reservation and fortunately someone just called off their reservation so we were directly seated. It’s a small but cozy environment and you really feel appreciated and welcomed by the staff. Food is excellent. Really! Each plate was different and the portions were big enough and delicious. If you are looking for a small venue with great food (and great sangria), don’t hesitate, this is your place to go! In the end we paid 60 euros total for something that would have cost us double in our own county. Would most definitely recommend! Tip: try the squid and the wild boar tapas!

You definitely have to try Tapa Breton in El Minibar whenever you’re in Madrid! It was so good, flavourful and one of a kind! I def will come back again to eat Tapa Breton itself. However the croquettes was not my favourite. I will try the other menus next time. Brownie and ice cream was yummy as well. Also, don’t forget to scan the menu on the table just in case you don’t know and wait for the staffs.

Not fancy, very local/hole in the wall vibes which is cool. The goat cheese tapas was really good, tuna tar tar & salad wasn’t as good. The salad especially was just too warm? Not sure if that was on purpose. Good service though, very fast and friendly.

This gem is hidden away on the corner of the street in the basement and doesn't look anything as good as it tastes! The manager spoke limited English but was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating to all food and drink requests. He gave good recommendations and even a little something on the house! The tapas were all flavoursome and unique in it's taste and well priced. I would definitely go back again!

What an amazing place! The atmosphere is delicious, the staff was very pleasant and gave us amazing recommendations… the food, I have no words to describe how good the food was! If you go there, please order goats cheese with tomato jam. Best thing I’ve ever eaten!

Loved the tapas here and good sangria too! Cheap beer. We had the grilled goats cheese, the fried cod, and the boiled wrinkled potatoes. We went at 5.30pm and already some dishes were sold out so might be better around lunch time!

A hidden gem in an alley 5 min walk from the palace. One of the best tapas place I’ve been and definitely deserves 5-star rating! Excellent food and services, and May I say I had the best bread ever too (had three loafs of them!) would recommend cod & garlic shrimp, crispy boar and grilled cheese. Love the vibe too.

This is a super busy tapas bar that I would absolutely recommend a visit if you’re in the area. It’s got a small but perfectly formed menu. It’s almost permanently fully booked so try and book ahead (especially in the evening) but you may get lucky. We had the goats cheese (amazing), the potatoes bravas (standard), the boar 🐗 roll (amazing) and squid 🦑 strips (ok)…and taco 🌮 (very nice). Service is great - very busy place so soak up the atmosphere and nice food. Well worth a visit.

What a casual gem! Loved how easy-going the atmosphere is here. We got a table for dinner right away, even though the place was really busy. Food was lovely - classic tapas, very friendly prices. Get the duck confit with prune sauce - it was an absolute highlight.

Tourist here, this is easily one of the best place i dined in Spain. The grilled goat cheese is to die for. I find myself thinking about this dish the next day and I have to go back again! Cod with scrimps is good too, interesting place and tables. Friendly staff!

We had calamari, tacos, cod with shrimp, chicken with three dips and cheesecake. All of the main food was delicious but the cheesecake was a distinct flavour, however, the texture was perfect. The tapas serving size was generous. The service was incredible. I would recommend making a reservation as the place was busy and a lot of people were turned away. This place is worth a visit, quality food, quality service and a decent price.

wonderful food at reasonable prices, with free starter and free bread. the bread was so soft - we couldn’t help but to get more! very generous and delicious sangria also. even the service was excellent! 👍

One of the best places to have a drink and tapas in Madrid with friends! Extreme tasty food with a cheap price! I’m shocked! The place itself it a bit chilling and artistic. I really enjoy the wine the food and the time that I spent with friends. Will definitely come back again!

Highly recommend this place :) Ordered three tapas and a sangria - all of them are flawless. The atmosphere of the bar is super cozy - thanks to the hospitality of the waitress, lovely tables, and smooth serving flow. Dining here is the highlight of my Madrid trip.

Absolutely brilliant place. Every single tapas we had was so tasty and was served really quickly. Surprisingly they were bringing tapas one by one instead of bringing them all in the same time. Probably the best goat cheese I’ve ever had, you can’t miss it. On top of that very refreshing sangria and very nice staff. It’s usually very busy during dinner hours, so it’s best to make a reservation.

5 out of 5. Almost any dish of not all (since I have not had the chance to taste them all) is extremely well made, tastes fantastic, good to the eyes. Pleasant atmosphere. It's crowded so you know it's good. You have to make reservations most of the time. Besides the extraordinary goat cheese plate, try the Burrata salad. Just divine. Also very reasonable prices. Enjoy.

Great ambience and amazing food. They offered free tapas as starter and we ordered 4 tapas for 2. The goat cheese is mind blowing, fahitas were good and the croquettes are sooo soft and tasty. Prices are very reasonable.

Super nice place! The staff are all nice (the owner, pictured below, is funny and welcoming!) it’s always busy so try to make reservation, or at least be flexible to come back later (which I did). The drinks and the Tapas were great, I got the Croquettes and the Pakintos (fried chicken), along with Red Sangria. I wanted to try the eggplant with bacon, but they were out of it at 11:30pm 😃 will come back tomorrow! Prices were reasonable for the portions, everything was awesome.

Very nice tapas bar with a cute atmosphere. The food was very good and still very affordable. We ordered tap water to drink and got a big chilled glass bottle which was very nice (no charge for the water). We went twice in our few days visit to Madrid and can recommend the place.

Honestly the best food I had in Spain so far. The goat cheese is the best. The prices are ridiculously affordable for the quality and area. The staff were so friendly as well. Must go for Madrid.

Absolutely amazing Tapas Bar with lovely staff! If you want modern tapas in an comfortable and welcoming environment this is the place for you. Every single tapa we had was absolutely amazing, you can taste that a lot of thought was put into perfecting these dishes, no wonder the goat cheese tapas was one of the best in Madrid a while ago, it’s sensational. The only downside was that even though we went twice and managed to try quite a few tapas we haven’t yet managed to try them all, alas we will take up that challenge next time we’re here. Thank you so much for absolutely brightening our already great time in Madrid!

We were very lucky that we called at 1600 for a table at 1930 for two is still possible. The host was friendly and genuine. He suggested us a smaller menu than we originally wanted. He turned out to be absolutely right - we were full just right. The tapas was stunning. Every dish shined in its own way. We could not only tastes the freshness of the ingredients but also the passion put into the dishes. This is what I like - when food is in the center of a restaurant. Highly recommended!

Came here for cheap food, and got exactly that. Got the carmelized chicken sandwich which didn't taste all that great. The chicken was dry and the sweet sauce really put me off. Service was good and friendly and prices were good.

After traveling all over Spain and France this tapas restaurant is by far the best we have had. The food is fresh, amazingly spiced, and the staff very friendly. The cook, a wonderful woman who we insisted on thanking ,was so humble. Definitely worth the walk from the metro or from the royal palace of Spain.
