We are on a 4 country food tour and this was the best food experience that we have had after visiting over 30 restaurants. Plus they are so kind and the service is so amazing that you feel like family when you are there. This is the best food place to be and it is an absolute MUST that you go there! No matter what you like, this place will be memorable and will do it exceptionally well!

She was impatient with us from the start, short and cold, literally rolling her eyes. It was like we were an inconvenience to her, just for being in the restaurant. It wasn't like she was busy even, we were the only ones there at the start, and when we left there were still plenty of tables free. I thought maybe it was just me, but all my friends were commenting on her. Another waitress served us one course, and she was great, and (maybe the owner?) came past and was nice, but unfortunately our main waitress left us with not enjoying the night. On the food front, the beetroot hummus is a bit bland, but the steak is amazing, and the mushroom risotto. The prices are fine. Shame that one waitress can ruin an evening.

Food was sometimes a bit too salty, but that’s the only minor downside we could think off. Absolutely recommend this place and try one of Renato’s cocktails when you’re there. He’s an artist and you won’t regret it.

Situated in La Latina, Ástor is a rather small place with eight tables or so. It's dimly lit and cosy. Their cuisine fuses a wide range of influences in a creative but not extravagant way. The menu is well balanced and has fantastic options, regardless of whether you feel more like traditional or experimental food. The char siu is out of this world! The fried ceviche and the mushroom risotto are very good as well. I subtract one star for the dessert: a brownie, which was actually not a brownie but a sponge cake. It was a surprising disappointment at the end of our dinner, devoid of the subtle ingenuity that made the other dishes so great. Expect to pay around €30 per person. Ástor is very popular, so make a reservation.

A family place in the heart of Madrid. Very nice personnel and great plating. However, the food and cocktails were very average, including dry tenderloin stake and ceviche that tastes as regular fish and chips. Otherwise, the place has quite unique atmosphere and good for a quick stop for a glass of wine.

Perfect 🤩 really deserving of their TripAdvisor and Google ranking. Very attentive staff so even while we we’re late we could still enjoy a three course meal easily. Even advised us to not have three starters (little much) and of course they’re right. Great cocktails and very nice atmosphere for a date night! Best espresso martini I had in Spain so far! We had an amazing dinner at Astor! We had the Char siu which was magnificent, sooo delicious. Along with tinto de verano and one of the cocktails - Raquelita, which were yum! And for the main, we had the argentinian ribeye, again beautifully done! Overall a fantastic experience, with amazing and friendly staff - I highly recommend the place!

This restaurant was exceptional! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious it was almost like a culinary experience the flavors were authentic. I recommend as a starter you get the Iberian Ham and cheeses. Highly recommend, I can’t wait to visit again.

Man the service to this place was a gem. They checked up on us, changed out the plates and cutlery when they got too dirty, gave us little wet towelette packets to clean our hands and when I started hiccuping they gave me water. 10/10 experience and the attention to detail was wonderful. When we ordered our waitor did say that it may be too much food so we cancelled a dish and we are glad we did or else we wouldn't be able to finish. We had the croquettes which were amazing. They also gave us free potato croquettes before the meal. We ordered meatballs, the ribs, the pies, and homemade ice-cream and they were divine. The meatballs were a little bit on the salty side but still very delicious! They also gave us shots for free. They were so kind. Highly recommend this place.

This restaurant is gorgeous and completely worth a visit while in Madrid. The mushroom risotto and the steak were absolutely delicious, as was the hummus to start. Their cocktails were also really good and unique- I got the guarapita chic. They also gave us complementary sours to end our meal which was a nice touch. One word says it all....AMAZING. the food was amazing, and the staff was extremely courteous and patient. We asked many questions. They made a special drink they did not have on the menu, but we wanted, and it was also amazing. This was a well-oiled machine, the way the front of the house worked with the kitchen and bar. I mean, they need a michelin star for sure. Their food was spectacular and the atmosphere was great too. A very nice surprise in the center of Madrid between the dime a dozen ( and often mediocre)tapas bars. Fantastic beet hummus and grilled provolone. Wonderful brownie. The service by the employee was also very nice and attentive. Very recommended!

An absolute gem of a restaurant! I had the mushroom risotto with toasted walnuts and poached pears - this really surprised me! It was more sweet than savoury, but in the best way possible. cheesecake - absolutely phenomenal! it was light and fluffy, yet creamy at the same time. probably the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. For drinks I got a Tinto De Verano and it was delicious too. I came back a second time and this time I tried: Beef tenderloin steak? it’s a daily special and it’s not on their menu. I wouldn’t say it’s phenomenal but it is a decent steak. the restaurant also gave a free appetiser and a mini cocktail. The staff were so nice and friendly and the atmosatmosphere was perfect, especially for dates!

The best dinner in Madrid! Wonderful restaurant, cozy place with lovely jazz music, eventhough its in a busy area this place is calm and quiet. great service, everyone was polite and so helpful. We ordered the croquettes, the pies, the grilled provolone, the ribeye and the tendeloin. They also offered us a welcome dish and complimentary amaretto sour after the dinner. Everything was exceptionaly tasty and of high quality. Would definitely recomment to friends going to Madrid for a great dinner!
