Well, buckle up folks, because we're about to dive into the delightful world of Laurel Ridge Golf Club in Spartanburg, South Carolina! Now, this place is not just your average golf club, it's a hidden gem that'll make you want to shout, "Fore-gedda-bout it!" Sorry, I couldn't resist the dad joke, folks! Let me tell you, stepping onto the greens of Laurel Ridge feels like entering a slice of golfing paradise. The fairways are as smooth as butter, so when you're driving off the tee, you'll be saying, "I can't believe it's not fairway!" Okay, okay, I'll stop with the puns. But seriously, the course is meticulously maintained, providing a challenge for even the most seasoned golfers, like a tough bedtime story that keeps you on your toes! The course layout at Laurel Ridge is pure genius, just like those dad jokes we love to hate. It weaves through the stunning Carolina landscape, with rolling hills and scenic views that'll make you say, "Hey, I want to retire here and play golf every day!" The strategic bunkering adds an extra layer of excitement, like when your dad pulls out a whoopee cushion at the dinner table just to keep you on your toes! The staff at Laurel Ridge are the true MVPs of this golfing experience. They're friendly, attentive, and always ready with a smile, just like your dad when he tells his favorite knock-knock joke for the millionth time. Whether you need a quick tip on your swing or a recommendation for the best burger at the clubhouse, they've got your back, like a dad with a never-ending supply of dad jokes. And speaking of the clubhouse, it's a haven of relaxation and post-game camaraderie. After a round of golf that'll leave you both exhausted and exhilarated, you can kick back and enjoy some well-deserved refreshments. The food is top-notch, like dad's secret barbecue sauce recipe that he refuses to share, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting, just like a dad's loving embrace after a long day. Now, I must admit, Laurel Ridge Golf Club isn't just a great golfing spot; it's also a place where memories are made. It's like that cheesy family vacation photo that you cringe at now, but secretly cherish. So, grab your clubs, bring your sense of humor, and head on over to Laurel Ridge for a golfing experience that'll leave you saying, "Thanks, Dad!"

Was part of a wedding function here recently. The venue and staff are friendly and helpful. The facility itself is very scenic and well laid out. The overlook of the golf course is stunning. The port cochere is very helpful to get in and out of the facility without getting soaked due to inclement weather.

Beyond our expectations. Each course was absolutely superb. Our server, Sarah, was attentive. Thank you so much for an excellent Valentine's dinner.

My family spent one brief, but wonderful, day and night at the Laurel Ridge Country Club golf villas and I can't recommend them more highly. Because we were coming from Durham, we arrived after 9pm. The general manager, Shell Isenberg, drove in from home to make sure he was there to greet us upon our arrival and to orient us to our room and things to see and do in the area. To say he is a gracious host would be an understatement. The room was spacious, clean, and immaculately maintained with a gorgeous view of the main lodge. A stocked snack tray helped fend off the munchies and the memory foam mattress ensured we all slept as well as we do at home. The next time we have the opportunity to spend some time in Waynesville, this will be our home away from home. Thank you, Shell and team!

In twenty-two [22] years of golf trips this golf course management was the poorest we have encountered. Only positive we could find were the two employees who were responsible for the carts and getting us on the course. The golf shop manager arrived late, collected our fee-excessive for what we received- and told us to proceed to number 1 tee. We had never been on this site prior, knew nothing about the layout etc. The course has no GPS on golf carts, no yardage markings in fairways, played from a few temporary tees, no water on course for golfers, no snack bar open. If one desires a pleasant golf experience in this area avoid this golf course . We played Maggie Valley and Springdale and definitely want to return to both. The staffs at each were just grand.

Deeeeelicious! Thanks Chef Al! Salmon over asparagus and spinach with golden beets and goat cheese. Sunday Brunch is open to the public, so it’s a great opportunity to get in on the deliciousness if your not a member.

POOR service. We had our wedding here and while the wedding turned out beautiful, thanks to my coordinates (hired outside of LR), the staff and contracts were not professional at all. One month before my wedding I received an introduction email from Holly, the new event coordinator. Panicked, since I had worked and spoken to Lynn (prior event coordinator) so much, I had asked Holly to give me a call so we could touch base. Two weeks went by before we heard back from Holly. In the meantime, I had called the venue directly several times and left messages to speak to Holly. Holly replied and said that she had other weddings to attend to before she could speak with us. I am thankful for my coordinators making sure that all of our plans were still in place. I never met with Holly until the day before our wedding. The stress and panic this caused me was unprofessional for the amount of money we had already paid to have our wedding at Laurel Ridge. When booking our wedding with this venue, we were told that the day of the wedding the men were able to do 9 holes on the golf course. The day before our wedding, I reminded Holly at our rehearsal that the groom and groomsmen would be golfing. She told me that there was a tournament that day and that they were not allowed to golf (this was part of the reason we decided to go with this venue). Lynn had shown us hole 18 during our tour of the venue and recommended we do our first look here. This is one of the many things we discussed before Lynn left and Holly stepped in. As I was getting ready I told Holly that we were doing our first look at hole 18 and she said we could not because of the tournament. Holly was clearly flustered. During our first look, we had to have this discussion which ultimately led to stress in the moment. We had also paid for the unlimited drink and alcohol package. When we got our billed, we were billed for shirley temples which the children were drinking (sprite and a splash of grenadine). However, the "dirty shirleys" and regular sodas were not charged as extra. They did take care of this after I sent an email explaining that we had the unlimited drink and alcohol package. Ultimately, it is a beautiful venue. If you decide to have your wedding here be sure to have everything discussed in writing and hire your own wedding coordinators.

Great time because it was our 50th Class Reunion for TUSCOLA HIGH SCHOOL and had a great time seeing so many people of my friends who were there. Thank everyone of you who came.

I like this course, but the pro was at the register in the golf shop, and he was super rude. Also, a guy that apparently lives near by, was ramming into my friends golf cart with his, because he wanted to get to the snack counter faster. Perhaps they wanted to keep people away, but it’s just disappointing to experience such behavior in an area where people use to be so welcoming.

We’ve been shooting at LRCC for going on 8 years and the experience is always the same….awesome! Their team is professional & friendly, the venue property itself is gorgeous, and the indoor space has amazing rustic charm (with great views!). It doesn’t hurt we always seem to get fun couples here! If you’re on the hunt for a wedding venue in WNC, don’t sleep on Laurel Ridge Country Club!
