Primal Training Club has completely changed my outlook on training, health and fitness. First of all, the environment is fantastic. From the layout and equipment to the welcoming members, it truly does allow you to become better. Being a professional athlete, I started the ATHX programme thinking that I already had a good understanding of how to train, but Primal have taught me how to improve my performance. Primal has a team of coaches that have surplus amounts of knowledge and experience. Their attention to detail enables you to reach your goals. My only regret is that I never started training at Primal sooner!

Primal has really changed my attitude to exercise and fitness. As someone who was fairly weak and unfit I now have a new appreciation for strength training and weights- something I never thought I'd love! The atmosphere in the gym is really encouraging; everyone is friendly, supportive and the instructors are just fab. They really help develop your technique and make sure you do it safely. They know there is a balance of life and fitness and don't make you feel guilty! 100% recommend!

The staff and facilities at Primal are fantastic. After having trained on and off over the years, different types of training, I’ve found that it’s hard to be consistent. The guidance from the trainers, support with nutrition and clear workout formats make it much easier to train consistently. The variation in workouts keep the training fun, and the motivation to train hard high. Couldn’t recommend more if you’re looking to commit to improving your strength/body.

Going into a gym for the first time is hard and can be rather daunting for some... Sticking to it is even harder, as it has proven to be for me. I'd tried and given up with many gyms over the years, loosing interest fast! The first few months for a beginner, or anyone returning back to training are crucial! if exercise is to become part of your new healthy body and lifestyle. I'm now on my fourth month at Primal and looking forward to many more.. I'm amazed! Primal coaches are highly trained and super knowledgable in all areas of strength training, conditioning training and healthy eating . I'm impressed! (I don't impress easily) they've managed to motivate the unmotivated! The coaches have all brought something different to the process/program of building my strength and conditioning and therefore confidence... to train and keep training! The atmosphere is really friendly, but, doesn't loose the sense that we're all here to workout and have a successful session. My body shape has started changing already 😊 I gave Primal gym a reluctant go.... best move I've made in years! Thanks X

When I first stepped through the doors of primal I was an injured runner and cyclist, after months of physio I had been advised not to run and cycling aggravated my sciatica, so I needed to find something else that would help strengthen my body from years of running. Despite being incredibly active I had never lifted a weight before I started training at Primal and that was extremely daunting. Almost three years later I am still training at Primal, progressing at Olympic Weightlifting. The coaches at Primal are really know their stuff and are passionate about their clients and always encouraging them to improve, individual training plans are developed for each client. They are always on hand to guide you through your workouts, always observing and tweaking technique, which is invaluable when doing the Olympic weightlifting. Primal have created a very special brand, the training facility is first class and there is a real sense of community at Primal, this has really been developed through the semi-private training, where you are training with other clients who are from all different backgrounds and ages. This has meant training has a more social aspect, you don’t just turn up and train then go home. Training at Primal has totally changed the way I approach exercise, in the past I would run 5 -6 times a week now I’m lucky if I get out for two runs a week, but have been known to train at Primal 5 days a week! I love everything about Primal, once you step through the door you will not want to leave!

Since I started training at Primal my strength and power has increased so much. There isn't anywhere else that could give you a hard workout like the one you get at Primal and in less than an hour!!! The trainers are so helpful and super friendly, and everyone that trains there is really nice; It's a fitness community. So if you are unfit and don't have the confidence to go to a gym and get started on your own, Primal is the place to start your fitness journey successfully. And if you're already fit, I guarantee you will still break a sweat!

I like Primal. I have been training there for nearly two years now and I am (Simon says) their oldest member. The programmes are challenging but realistic, and well adapted to my individual needs and capacities. (Moral: don't let age be an excuse for not getting involved!) The coaches are knowledgeably serious about fitness, but at the same time positive, friendly and relaxed. They make training fun. The atmosphere is always mutually supportive and respectful. The pricing is competitive. And John's videos make us all look good!

Primal is not like other gyms - there are no treadmills and no gimmicks, just people wanting to train and improve themselves. My PT, David Whitney, is excellent. He creates training plans and nutritional advice tailored to my goals and always pushes me to do better. The standard of personal training you receive from Primal is second to none, with excellent facilities and one on one support. I've dropped 2.5 stone with David's help and now my goals are to become fitter and stronger. Primal also offer a range of classes and bootcamps, although I'm yet to get up early enough to try one of those...

Simply the best club I've ever joined by a million miles! Amazing trainers, all the members are friendly too and there is great camaraderie whenever I enter the doors. There are so many facets to the training here including complimentary nutritional plans, high intensity (met con) classes and of course the individualised personal training sessions. Primal training really is a holistic training club where classes run virtually everyday. My only regret is that I wish I had joined sooner. If you're in the area you will not regret investing in your health and wellbeing here!

It took a long time for me to finally get it together to join Primal, having been very anti-gym all my adult life. Most of my previous experiences elsewhere had been pretty grim, so it was such a refreshing change to walk into Primal on my first day and everyone was so welcoming. After 2 sessions of my 30 day trial, I had already made the decision to sign up full time. I can’t praise the coaches enough. Everyone has been incredibly supportive and although I’m still relatively new to this type of training, the progress I’ve made in just 5 weeks is testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone at Primal. Brilliant place, brilliant people!

Primal is the best , most enjoyable, most personal and most motivating gym I have ever been to. I joined just over a year ago under the motivation of getting in shape for my wedding last month. While I did drop nearly 12kgs and became a lot stronger I took a lot more from it. I had been training on and off for several years but very much as a chore and had really lost my passion for it. The guidance and the friendly but driven atmosphere at Primal really got me back into it and I learned so much. The staff there are really well informed and know their stuff and they make the training varied, challenging and tailored to your needs. The whole experience is just really personal and friendly. I really couldn't recommend it more highly.

I can't put into words how brilliant I have found training at Primal. The 3 founding coaches are all passionate about fitness, and approach each client listening to their individual needs, bringing a wealth of knowledge that they keep seeking to top up. They take a supportive, holistic approach to your fitness, giving you brilliant advice which is as far away from the cookie cutter "lift this weight 12 reps for 3 sets, have a protein shake" personal trainers blighting many mainstream gyms. Their advice on nutrition, mental well being and technique is the best I've ever had. Adding this to a brilliant, fun environment where clients from all ages and backgrounds support and work together, its the best gym I've been in... maybe ever.

🫤 Good facilities yet inconsiderate swimmers in the 20m pool, during the morning sessions, make it hard for swimmers to complete laps. Two gossiping groups take over 2-3 lines on each side leaving other swimmers squashed in the middle. Some are forced into larger pool which they may not be as comforta...

🫤 The price is very cheap which is good but with that comes negatives, the most obvious is overcrowding, waiting for machines but other issues I had with the Gym were the Rules the Gym enforced. I understand in Liverpool Central you will get a lot of Uni students and some can be rowdy but until people...

😠 Wish I could rate it zero. This gym is well equipped however the conditions within it are inhumane. It’s a violation of the most basic human rights, training in this gym. The air in here is absolutely putrid. It smells like fecal matter, mould and damp throughout the entire gym. I breakout and f...
