Wow.. where do I start !!! Without a doubt one of the best experiences I could ever have hoped for. Completing the 3 three peak challenge within 24 hours is tough, tiring and not to be underestimated but if your up for the challenge then Chris & Nic are definitely the guys to help you achieve it 💪 Couldn’t have had two better mentors, Chris & Nic are both phenomenal at what they do and have the ability to push you to your limits to ensure that you give them your very best effort, the service they provide really is second to none, Nic helped me book all my accommodation prior to the trip and was on hand to answer any worries or concerns I had leading up to the trip .. Both Chris & Nic ensured that we all stayed motivated and focused on what we came to accomplish.. if you honestly want to complete the Three Peak Challenge within 24 hours then these really are the ones that will make this happen for you... I am now looking to rejoin them for another Three Peaks 24 hour challenge, then I’ll hopefully do the Nationals in July and then I’m hoping to pay my deposit to join them on their Kilimanjaro challenge in 2022. I WILL always use Active Mountaineering to book my challenges with, I trust these guys to help me get the job done, they give a professional service from beginning to end and I also think they offer great value for money. Highly recommend using these guys... don’t even hesitate to book up with them as you really will not be disappointed ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was one of the most challenging experiences of my life, both physically and mentally. If you are thinking of doing the three peaks challenge then Chris is the man you need. Chris and his team set the standard from the minute you get on the coach. You will go through so much but Chris and his team will get you through it and push you to your limits to make sure you achieve the challenge. I could not fault them. Thanks Chris for pushing me to my limit and making sure I left everything out there. Really wish you all the best!

13 colleagues and I, this weekend undertook the 24Hr Three Peaks Challenge with Active Mountaineering. Now home, I'm short of words to do justice to the adventure I've just had; but I owe it to the incredible Husband & Wife team, Nic & Chris, to share what they do! These guys live and breathe 'hardcore'; they'll bring you in months ahead, briefing & leaving nothing for surprise, before delivering upon every expectation you might have of an unforgettable and life changing event.... If you are contemplating an outdoor challenge, know that these guys will deliver you a raw, pushed to the limit, and totally once in a lifetime experience! Putting all that good stuff and excitement to one side for a moment; I was most impressed with Chris & Nic's (active Mountaineering's) uncompromising attitude and approach to Safety. Everything our group embarked on, was first and foremost engulfed in consideration and thought towards the safety and enjoyment of each individual, and therefore the group as a whole. Active Mountaineering aka, Nic & Chris, are TOTAL professionals. Just be open and honest with them, and they will take care of the rest, ensuring you and/or your group, get the absolute best out of whatever experience you seek! Thank you both! Unforgettable!! (P.S... Hope that 'Scafell Stream' reminds you of Mr. Soft forever....! Keep opening them gates, 'Mr. Right Arm'!!)

The 3 peaks challenge was possibly the toughest thing I have done but equally the most rewarding. Chris our guide was awesome and pushed us to make sure we completed the challenge in the true 24 hours, clock starts at the bottom of the first mountain and stops at the bottom of the last mountain. Chris is one of the only guides that believes in completing the challenge in the true 24 hours. I would definitely recommend Active Mountaineering to anyone that wants to achieve the 3 peaks challenge.

Active mountaineering where do I start, probably one of the best experiences of my life. Your professional and thorough mountaineering services are second to no one. Starting way back in February when I first started recovery from surgery, Nic has been answering questions and guiding me in the back ground while I slowly prepared my team and started recovering. She has always been at the other other side of the phone when I needed her. Their take on the National 3 peak challenge is nothing short of brilliant, it's regimented at times and they will bust your balls, but it's all for the greater cause, the completion of the challenge. My group was of mixed ages and ability and they controlled that environment wonderfully, knowing who needed pushing and when. Their passion for their work is in abundance, thank you from the bottom of my heart to the top of Ben Nevis for such a great weekend. We haven't even been home a full day and we have already booked our next challenge. Highly recommended, if the National 3 Peaks and other challenges are something you might be interested in, look no further........ Active mountaineering Your are the best. 😘

I have completed 2 challenges with Active Mountaineering this year and could not recommend them enough. My trip to Morocco to climb Mount Toubkal was one of the best experiences of my life. Absolutely everything was organised so I didn't have to worry about anything while I was away and I had a ball from start to finish. I travelled out by myself but Chris and Nic make you feel so welcome from the get go that I can't imagine having gone with anyone else. I have just returned from taking on the National 3 Peaks challenge with them and yet again, the weekend was above and beyond what I was expecting. Chris and Nic have everything working down to T and really support you and cheer you on over the three mountains to ensure your biggest chance of completing the challenge. They have been running the challenge every weekend for years and you can just tell their knowledge and experience of the mountains is second to none. I am booking on to their Kilimanjaro trip and will make sure that all my adventures in the future are with them

Just finished the national 3 peaks, was an amazing weekend, well organised to a T. The guides were amazing so supportive (but brutal) , the coach is large and well equipped and everyone I encountered on this trip was amazing. Highly recommended if you to be pushed to completion 💪🏻

This was an amazing experience with an equally amazing team. Not for the faint of heart. Will test you both mentally and physically but Chris (and his guides) will get you through kicking and screaming, singing and chanting, running to the finish line or on your knees. Don’t forget to ask Chris to give you his rendition of “Sweet Caroline” halfway up Snowdon in the pitch black, if that doesn’t get you going, nothing will!! We didn’t get to do all three because of the weather but I’ll definitely be coming back and without a shadow of a doubt with Chris and we WILL do it this time!

If you are considering taking on a 3 Peaks Challenge look no further than Active Mountaineering. I travelled over from Dublin to complete their National 3 Peaks Challenge and could not have been happier I chose them. The level of professionalism, experience, and expertise exhibited from Chris and his amazing guides is second to none. It truly was an unforgettable experience with a wonderful group of people.

Myself and my partner completed the Three Peaks Challenge within 24 hours, as did 39 out of the 47 in the group. This is quite an achievement, and what an experience it was, amazing! Chris really does know what he's doing. At the end you will understand why his no fluff, balls out approach is what is needed to get you through the challenge, and it's all carried with great humour. This challenge is a toughie and you'd best be ready for it! Chris is supported by a very professional team who are genuinely caring and personable. I'm sure we'll be joining Chris and his team on other adventures in the future. Very highly recommended!

3 peaks in 24 hours as advertised. Chris' no bull attitude made the challenge work. I completed with 7 mins to spare and this could easily have been missed if the group hadn't been herded as needed. It was a difficult challenge and due to coach arriving in late to Snowdon meant we had to push hard. But again guides got all finishers through in the time limit. I wouldn't ever do this again but would highly recommend someone else doing it 👍

Nic and Chris, thank you for one of the best experience of my life. Very knowledgeable, carrying couple who have a wonderful team of people around them. Who all helped us to go through the challenge and achieve our best results! I am very proud I could do it and happy we had you as our guides. All the best to you, massive thank you and hope to meet again! ❤

Absolutely brilliantly run Nation 3 Peaks challenge in genuine 24hr timeframes. Chris is absolutely superb with the briefings on the bus, what to expect with the terrain, weather, what gear to take etc. His team from the bus drivers to the mountain guides were simply superb.

Just done the national 3 peak challenge 24hrs with Chris and it was such a fantastic weekend. Our safety was his main priority on the mountains and he pushed us through. He was very friendly and helpful, always accessible for any queries before the challenge also which was great for us who had a lot! Definitely recommend booking with this company if you want to make the 24 hour mark!

The best and worst 24 hours of my life! I defo underestimated how hard it would be to complete this challenge! My legs have only just recovered 3 days later but boy was it worth it! Chris was awesome! The way he has the 24 hour structured with the allotted times for each mountain and 2 coach drivers to get you between each one is amazing! He puts you through your paces and motivates the whole group to keep moving with tough love! Top bloke and an incredible experience! Thanks Chris

Wow! What can I say. I have just got home from completing the National 3 Peaks Challenge in 24 hours. I’m exhausted. We were a team of 14 and we couldn’t have done it without the help of Chris and his team. Everyone from the drivers and guides! Chris runs a very tight shop but for a very good reason! To get you to achieve the (impossible) Listen to him and you will achieve the unimaginable. Chris was also very easy to contact to answer many questions I had prior to the challenge. I had the pleasure of being guided by Kieran, Graham and Doug and many more! You are all amazing! As lovely as Chris was (at times) I vowed to never see him again, but now I’m home and showered. I’m already thinking shall I do it again! If you are thinking of taking on any adventure you need to book with Active Mountaineering. I would give 10 stars if I could. Thanks again Chris and Team! Don’t stop what you are doing. Absolutely amazing!

I highly recommend Active Mountaineering. I have completed The 3 Nationals under 24 hours (22 hours 37 minutes to be exact) and The Ultimate 3 Peaks which was the most brutal challenge I have ever done 9 mountains in 3 days. If you want to push yourself to the limit this is the one for you. You will not be disappointed. Without Chris this wouldn’t have been possible, he sure is the g.o.a.t of the mountains and if you’ve heard him on the microphone on the bus he doesn’t hold back with great humour to keep the group entertained. Big respect to him on getting the timings perfect, peak to peak. I want to say a big thank you to Chris, Andy (the best driver) and Soni who took part in the ultimate this year. This was an epic mission. I look forward in some more adventures with Active Mountaineering. Many thanks Sam Potter

We had the 3Peaks challenge booked for the past three years but COVID led to delays. Nic was extremely supportive of our situation with more than one change. Eventually we got to complete it and we were not disappointed. The logistics of the event could make or break completing in a TRUE 24hrs as we did. From driver changes to experienced friendly and knowledgeable local guides at each mountain and with Nic keeping you watered and fed and on your toes there is nothing left to chance. A great experience with a good bunch and a true collective sense of achievement. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing three peaks experience. These guys are professional, well-organised and they know everything anyone knows about climbing mountains. They knew what I needed on those mountains better than I did. I’ll be going back to them again next year and for any other trips I want to take. Can’t rate them highly enough.

Where do I honestly start !! This trip was without a doubt one of the best experiences of my life, from the moment I landed in Morocco Chris and Nic were there taking care of things and ensuring that everything ran smoothly, the experience itself is like no other and exceeded all my expectations, there are NO hidden costs at all which took the pressure of me for tips, meals and water supply which allowed me to focus on the climb, Chris and Nic have a real desire to help you achieve what you came to accomplish and this is the reason why everyone in our group summited Mount Toubkal ! The 3 days in Marrakech after the climb was a great opportunity to relax and enjoy Morocco with new friends - I have walked away from this experience with a lifetime of memories, this is incredible value for money and I honestly don't believe that anyone could give you a better experience than Active Mountaineering !! Thank you Chris and Nic for making everything simply perfect !!

Amazing experience- National 3 peaks challenge Wow, what can I say! A truly amazing experience and exactly what it says on the tin! Chris and nic are fantastic and prepare you thoroughly for this challenge with a no bullsh!t approach, they want to get you through the challenge as much as you do. It’s extremely well organised ( to the minute, literally) we completed The challenge under the time limit even with a bus breakdown. I will most certainly be carrying out more challenges with them hopefully mt Toubkal in March next year and I have recommended to others :-)

Where to start…. If you’re looking to do the Three Peaks in the TRUE 24 hours, then please don’t look any further than this company. It’s professionally organised, down to the minute, you’re well briefed on what is expected from you, what you need prior and during, and to be honest their no nonsense approach is what you need to achieve this challenge. Personally, I can’t thank them enough for supporting me to smash a goal that I’ve wanted to achieve for a very long time.

I completed the Three Peaks Challenge within 24h with Active Mountaineering. There was a great group atmosphere. Nic and Chris were very friendly and honest, and very militaristic when it came to getting us into action and getting the job done! This instilled confidence in the group and motivated us to keep our moods, efforts, and speed up. It was a great experience and expertly organised and I will definitely do future challenges and events with them! I highly recommend Active Mountaineering for your future adventures :)

I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. Having just returned from one of their 24 hr National 3 Peak challenges I can honestly say that Chris and Nicola have their trips planned to perfection. They deliver what they promise plus a whole lot more. They are supportive from the get go, nothing is too much trouble and they really enjoy what they do. I will certainly be joining them again in the future.

Just completed the National Three Peaks Challenge in 23 hours with Active Mountaineering. This was made possible by Chris and Nic's top class guidance throughout the weekend. From start to finish, they offered great advice and made the entire group feel comfortable and ready for the challenge. They clearly possess extensive knowledge and experience of the mountains as well as what it takes to get around in under 24 hours. A lot of effort goes into planning these challenges and Active Mountaineering are head and shoulders above the rest.

Huge thank you to Nic, Chris, Martin and the rest of the guides/team! The amount of pin-point efficiency and experience they have is second to none. They're always on top of everything and still leading from the front (literally). It was my second time completing the challenge with AM and it was just as great - from the views to sense of satisfaction at that gate. I highly recommend! My sister and I had a great time, thank you all!

If you’re thinking of doing the 3 Peaks Challenge then use Active Mountaineering, They do a ‘true’ 24 hour challenge. Starting at 8.30am and finishing 8.30am the next day. Some companies get everyone to the top regardless of how long it takes and calculates everyone’s time individually at the end. Chris and Nic are pro’s at what they do, they know what needs doing and get the job done. They have extensive knowledge of the peaks. If you’re falling behind they’ll put you to the front of the group and the pressure of having a whole group behind you pushes you do better. If you’re really struggling because of an injury or just not physically able to keep the pace they have guides at the back who will walk with you. As it a 24-hour challenge timing is critical and at a certain point if you’re not where you need to be you will be turned around so that the rest of the groups challenge isn’t compromised. My partner had a knee injury that was strapped up by Chris and allowed him to continue with the challenge. On Snowdon I was at the back not expecting to summit and was fine with that but Chris got the rest of the group there then came back and made sure that those that wanted to push for it got there and because of that I was able to complete the challenge. Before the challenge I was slightly worried about being crammed into a mini bus but they use a coach with a toilet Pack only the essentials, eat at every opportunity, be prepared to put your head down and crack on and Chris and Nic will do the rest to get you to the end. Thanks guys, Carrie x

Have just had the BEST weekend doing the National 3 Peaks Challenge with Nic and Chris of Active Mountaineering and I genuinely cannot praise them enough. The trip was rescheduled from 2020 due to Covid and was totally worth waiting for. Everything was top notch, from initial communication through to travel advice, not to mention getting everyone up and down the three mountains under that coveted 24 hours. Chris and Nic were professional and knowledgeable every step of the way, explaining exactly what we'd be doing at each stage of the challenge, and they were uncompromising about speed and safety but still took the time to frequently check in with us individually to make sure we were all OK. Absolutely cannot wait for my next adventure with them - I wouldn't book with anyone else.

We joined the tour at Glasgow. The bus ride up to Fort William was comfortable. Nik was our primary guide and she made sure we understood what would be involved. The other guides were all knowledgeable and friendly as well. They do a good job of planning the trip so you’ll have a sunset on Scafell Pike and sunrise on Snowden weather permitting. Mother Nature cooperated for us and our trip was fantastic. A couple notes on the challenge itself - it is a challenge. I run between 50 and 70km a week, we had great weather, and there was one stretch on Scafell Pike where I was a little concerned if I’d make the cutoff to make the summit. It’s certainly manageable if you’re fit, but these are mountains and you don’t get much sleep. Also food is eaten in transit on single track roads, so motion sickness was a bit of an issue for me, particularly on the way to and from Scafell Pike, which led to my issues on that ascent. There’s a training plan and you should make sure you can complete it before you go. The Active Mountaineering team attempts to maximize the number of successful ascents. This means that they purposely add rests that might not be required if you exercise regularly. I found my muscles cooling down too much when I was at the front of the group, so by Snowden I started following at the back. This meant my exercise was a little more continuous with shorter breaks. The team were friendly and I enjoyed their company. I’d happily go on another of their excursions.
