We passed this hotel this evening while looking for a place for dinner. The hotel and restaurant looked amazing so we decided to have dinner here and we are so glad we did! Before we even entered the restaurant we were greeted with a huge smile and welcome from a waiter which made us feel extremely welcome. Our waitress was so lovely, very warm and interested to learn more about us. Besides from the amazing staff the food was absolutely gorgeous! We are both vegetarians which the waitress noticed due to our food orders and told us if we do decide to come back that the chef would be more than happy to prepare more vegetarian options for us. We certainly will come back here again - I can't recommend this restaurant enough! I wish I could give more than 5stars. Thank you so much to the staff for a wonderful evening!

I stayed at the hotel twice within 2 weeks. The first time it was in a group, the second time on my own. Amazing hotel and helpful staff members. I really appreciated all the sustainable things they are trying to do, such as not using plastics, using natural toiletries etc🙂 I loved breakfast options (fresh fruit for me was the best) and my room was lovely, too. Very good location in the heart of the city, it's easy to walk from there to the main attractions. I also tried a Lao massage at their Sarila spa which was really great and worth it. They have a nice bar with a lovely atmosphere and a pretty town view, as well. And I t also enjoyed all the decorations at the hotel, it looks very stylish. There's even a shop on the ground floor where you can buy different souvenirs and statues etc., mostly wooden carvings. Everything there is really interesting! The only thing I didn't like at the hotel was that it was difficult for me to sleep at night as you can hear the street noise quite a lot and also people talking at night in the surrounding rooms. But I'm a light sleeper so maybe other people wouldn't have any problem with that. I can definitely recommend everything else at the hotel 🙂

This is a very nice hotel in the heart of the city. It is a short walk to the night market. The room was pretty large with a very large and comfortable bed. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of Western and Asian dishes available. The staff was friendly and always smiling. The only negative aspect was the Jacuzzi tun in the toilet. When I turned on the jets, a lot of black stuff came out. Obviously I don’t know exactly what it was, but I believe it was some sort of mold or fungus. We passed on the Jacuzzi.

I love this little hotel. The on site restaurant served one of the best breakfast buffets I've had, especially since it's a small boutique hotel. The service received was excellent every single day. The staff spoke excellent English and made us feel welcome and we're attentive. There's a great lounge on the 4th floor with small tables and chairs on the balcony which opens at 10 am and available all day. It's a lovely place to enjoy happy hour and the wine was good quality, with very generous pours. The spa was very good as well, and so was the gift shop. Every room and public space was tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Stay in this hotel if you're lucky enough to find a vacant room! Dinner was delicious with huge salads as well. It is sandwiched between two temples which was fantastic as I went to both for meditation. Our view was of one of the temples which was beautiful. 5 stars all around.

I stayed three nights at the Salana Boutique hotel in Vientiane. Check in was very fast and efficient. I was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome from the front desk staff. They were very helpful and most of them spoke English. My boutique style room was exceptional clean, very comfortable and had a nice view overlooking the Temple opposite. I can recommend the breakfast menu which has many things to choose from. I was impressed with the way the front desk staff organised at short notice for me to see the early morning alms giving to the Monks, which was an amazing experience.

Great hotel with well decorated rooms, great breakfast, fantastic spa treatment and helpful and friendly staff. Location is walking distance to river and night markets and surrounded by wide choice of restaurants. Being next to the Wat/temple, we were able to witness authentic non-touristy alms giving at 4.30am right at the hotel entrance and street. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable stay and highly recommended when in Vientiane.

We loved our stay. The hotel is beautifully furnished and our room was stylish and comfortable. The staff are also warm and welcoming. We enjoyed lovely sunset cocktails in the 4th floor restaurant/bar and really appreciated the generous and tasty breakfast box we received when we had to check out early before breakfast opened. Highly recommend this hotel, you won’t be disappointed.

So wonderful stay I loved the colonial style, its atmosphere , the mindful and kind personnel. I enjoyed the buffet style breakfast which has as well a menu à la carte. The food from the menu, or the buffet is really tasty and the buffet is not completely the same either day. While enjoying the buffet you can as well ask food from the menu and even many dishes from it. I didn’t try yet diner, its menu looks really as well though. At the next opportunity, I will for sure come back here, so I absolutely recommend this hotel.

This is an amazing, small, personal boutique hotel. The breakfast is great, as is the restaurant also for other meals. Perfect location in the cozy city center of Vientiane. Rooms are spotless, staff is friendly and beds/pillows are comfy. I stay here every time I go to Vientiane.

My partner and I stayed for two nights in July 2023 and absolutely loved the hotel. Great location in the centre of town right next to the waterfront and night markets, so a great place to explore the city. The hotel and rooms are beautifully done up and we had the cutest towel elephant on our bed on arrival. The rooftop bar is a lovely quiet oasis, we would have sat on the balcony and enjoyed the view but it was too hot that time of year. The only thing I would say is that the restaurant/room service menu is not vegetarian friendly - it would be good to have more vegetarian and vegan options available.

So I super duper wanted to love this hotel. It’s in an amazing location, the rooms are well appointed, and the breakfast is great. But there is a bar very nearby that plays extremely loud music until very late and you can hear it in the rooms. I was kept up until 1am when I needed the sleep earlier. Such a bummer! So very split about how to recommend. If you’re able to sleep with noise then this might not impact you.

Everything was meticulous, nicely planned and crafted. The entire property, staff, and food were all of finest standards. A gem in form of one of the hotel team members was Gee.. She is a priceless assest to any organization.

Great service, friendly and attentive. They took great care of us. The breakfast was phenomenal, best I had in my time in Asia. They have a great little spa where you can get a very well done massage. Clean and right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. We walked to the night market every night, just a few minutes walk. Right across from a temple so you may see a lot of monks.

Stayed here in January 2020. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel. Restaurants on the first floor and on the fourth floor with a nice view. There’s a spa inside the hotel and the massages was great. It’s right in the heart of town so there’s a lot of restaurants that are walking distance from the hotel. The Mekong River was a few blocks away as well.

Really lovely hotel. The passionfruit juice welcome drink was such a refreshing welcome after our hot trip to town. The staff are very helpful and professional. Room was really clean and modern and the bed was comfortable, especially compared to the hard ones that are standard around the region. Had a great stay and would definitely come back.

I have planned my business trip to Vientiane and I’m glad i chose Salana Boutique Hotel. This place has everything I needed in the hotel itself. The rooms are clean and comfortable, no disturbing noises despite being in the centre of town and Mekong area. What I like the most is the spa and the living room lounge. After a session of relaxing lao traditional massage, I can enjoy reading books at the lounge and even sip cocktails to watch the sunset. I recommend the restaurant Kitchen Vibe bistro as it is different from other cuisine, they have a distinct mixed of lao and western tastes. I am deeply touched by the welcoming staffs, will surely come back here again. Very happy.

Very pleasant hotel in a area close to the night market. Friendly and helpful staff. Good size room with all amenities. There is a bar/lounge area for a quiet drink or a relax with a book. Breakfast is good, but come early as some items may be gone later on. Laundry service ecpensive.

The place is extremely clean and super cured. The ambient has a warm look thanks to the wooden furnitures. The staff is kind and sweet, always there to serve you with high level of politeness. The food was sublime, especially the mushroom soup! We went twice and I had the hamburger, good as well. The prices are just a little more expensive that the other restaurants but once in you will understand why :)

What an amazing beautiful humble relaxing place. One of a kind that is for sure. The service, the rooms, the spa and the free breakfast are amazing. Rice porridge, eggs, noodle soup made to order. The hospitality is superb. It’s the littlest details and they got it all like the welcome juice at checkin. I would come here over and over again. Kitchen vibe which is attached to the hotel is perfect! I have so much to say but you would just have to experience it yourself!

After spending a month in Thailand and Laos this was by far the best hotel we stayed in during our vacation. Excellent location in Vientiane. Absolutely beautiful hotel near the night market and many beautiful Buddhist temples. The breakfast provided was one of the highlights of our stay. Also the staff is wonderful and go out of the way to make your stay comfortable.

The Salana Boutique Hotel is an excellent hotel, located in the heart of Vientiane. My stay was made especially enjoyable by the warmth and hospitality of all of its staff, especially Mr Santi, on the front desk, Pin (the masseuse) and Bundith – who always met me with a smile and a helping hand. Thanks to all of you. Highly recommended!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Salana Boutique Hotel, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This was not my first visit, and each time I return, the hotel manages to exceed my expectations. The location of the hotel is fantastic, situated in the heart of Vientiane, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city's attractions. The well-kept exterior and inviting ambiance upon entering set the tone for a delightful stay. The rooms are a perfect blend of comfort and sophistication, providing a relaxing retreat after a day of exploration. Impeccable cleanliness and thoughtful amenities contribute to the overall sense of luxury. One of the standout features of Salana is its dining options. The breakfast buffet offers a diverse and delicious spread, ensuring there's something for every palate. The on-site restaurant is a culinary delight, and the bar on the fourth floor boasts a master mixologist who crafts cocktails like no other. What truly sets Salana apart is its exceptional staff. Every team member, without exception, goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcome and valued. Special mention goes to Joy from the front desk, whose warmth and efficiency stood out during my stay. I can't recommend Salana Boutique Hotel enough. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a returning guest, this establishment consistently delivers an outstanding experience. I eagerly anticipate my next stay at Salana Boutique Hotel and the fond memories it will undoubtedly create.
