Excellent ambiance,🥰 finger licking good Biriyani,😋 out of the world soft mutton, brilliant service and smooth operations are a few things that describes this place. Besides the servings in brass utensils makes the experience even more unique. For the price, it is really value for money and the experience was really wonderful. ❤️ A must visit and highly recommended place for weekends and family outings. The Oudh 1590, Deshapriya Park, was on our bucket list for a long time. We finally made it there for some delicious Mughlai dishes! Ambiance was regal. Light was dim. Akhtari ghazals set the tone. The Murgh Sugandhi Kebab was as luscious as its name suggests! We loved the tenderness of the chicken, which melted in our mouths easily. Succulent chicken, marinated with hung curd and gondhoraj (lime zest and few drops thereof). Gave an otherworldly feel. The moisture was just right. A truly irresistible platter, priced at ₹295. Piping hot Gosht Awadhi Handi Biryani was served in earthen bowl. They used very less oil, yet didn't compromise on taste. It contained two large chunks of mutton and a couple of perfectly boiled eggs. Handi Biryani is their signature dish. It was so well cooked that you can separate each grain of rice. It came at ₹495. We had the best Phirni ever. The sweetness was not overpowering. It cost ₹110 only. The only issue was that the stewards were in mad rush. We finished our lunch in a blinding speed (just in half an hour). That is exactly what you don't expect from a fine dining restaurant. To be honest I felt like we were not getting a bang for our bucks. I would have assigned them a perfect five. But this drags the ratings back to four. The food was delicious. Each and every course that I ordered was good. However, the staff who was serving me was perhaps biased may be due to my appearance he was judging me and not behaving appropriately i am not mentioning his name but. I would not like to visit a restaurant where the staff's behaviour is based on one's appearance (Clothing). Nevertheless, the food was fabulous, ambiance was royal feel.

This place was on my bucket list as I have heard a lot about their Biriyani and their amazing ambience(Mughal). Very beautiful place with unique decor. The Royal ambience with mughal dishes will lift your mood. We ordered, Gosht Awadhi Handi Biriyani - 5/5 - It was actually good, perfectly cooked. Even this one is one of their popular dishes. Adequate amount of biriyani with best quality. The way they presented handi biriyani that was also unique. Murgh Zafrani Kabab - 3/5 - The kebab was good but they have given a lot amount of rose water which made its taste worse. They served 3 types of chatnis as well honestly we liked each one even asked them to refill. Gosht Metiabruz Biriyani- 5/5 - Undoubtedly another finger licking best biriyani. Perfectly cooked. The biriyani portion was really huge and mutton pieces too. Mutton was soft and juicy. Sufficient quantity with best quality. Overall I had a great experience. Staff behavior was good and polite. Food presentation, quality, and quantity everything was on point. For price, it's a bit high but I think it's absolutely value for money. Highly Recommended.

We had gone for our Dashami lunch at this place. The wait time was not that much. The interior of this place is very classy and gives an awadhi feel. We have ordered galauti mutton kababs, chicken kababs, Lucknowi paratha, chicken salaam, ghoshth biriyani and the very special Rann Biriyani. The galauti kabab and the Rann Biriyani was just delicious and amazing to taste. We had taken Phirni also for dessert which was again splendid. This is a must try when you'll visit here. The service here was quite. Overall it was a good experience here.

This place is just nearby Lakemall across the Road. Sitting area is not that huge but it’s okay. The ambiance is authentic Awadhi style, including the design on the wall, cutlery, background Music. One of the best restaurants in Kolkata for Mughlai dishes. Interiors are solid wooden made. The place is dimly lit, with Nawabi ambience and ghazals / thumri playing at the background. It’s a nice fine dine place serving some good Awadhi cuisine. The ambiance is authentic Awadhi style, including the design on the wall, paintings, and cutlery, background Music etc. Ghost Galawati kebab (rating 5/5) with Lucknow-style Paratha was marvelous. Kebab was so soft that it melted in mouth. One who visits this restaurant must try this dish. Gosht Handi Biryani (rating 5/5) is their specialty and signature dish. The rice was extremely flavourful. They used very less oil, yet the taste was awesome. Balance of the spices is of optimum level. Biryani contained two large pieces of mutton and one boiled egg. Mutton was very soft and juicy and perfectly cooked. We had Bhuna Murg (rating 3/5) as recommended by the service staff but it was not that tasty though. It is located near Deshpriya Park opposite Kamala Girls School. It’s situated in an alley, but there is parking available near the restaurant. Reservations are not required as it’s first come first serve basis. But due to limited seating capacity you may have to wait for sometime on weekends. Staff behaviour was very good and polite. Food presentation, quality, and quantity everything was perfect. Prices are slightly on the higher side (average Rs. 1400 for 2) but that is justified for food quality, quantity and ambiance. Overall we had a great experience there.

After a long time we thought of having our lunch outside and dining experience at Oudh 1590 Desapriyo Park was excellent. The royal ambience lifts your mood instantly. There is no rush as you can wait at the waiting area. Proper sanitization measures taken. The staffs were very friendly and cooperative as they they suggested us their specialities, we had Gosht Awadhi Biryani, Gosht Metiabruz Biryani and Special Raan Biryani all were unique and delicious in flavour and taste. We also had sweet lime soda and raita and salad with it. Our lunch wrapped up with the mouth watering dessert Firni. Highly recommended. No compromise with quality and quantity.

Waiting for more than 1 hour still no food served very late and arrogant behaviour. Don't visit this place ever in your life. Didn't even get to taste the food. Still waiting for food. I will pass my whole life waiting for my turn to get inside and order food. Worst

Overpriced & overrated restaurant. The food was ok. The ambiance & the service were good. Chicken Biryani was a bit dry. Runn & Handi Biryani were ok but nothing superb. Their quantity was good though.

The Quality of the food simply matches that of a 5 Star restaurant. The prices are definitely not the most pocket friendly but you can manage on special occasions. The ambiance and atmosphere is on another level. Starting from the walls to the ceilings and the plates and spoon. Definately a pic for special occasions. The kababs and Handi biryani are amy favourite picks. There is no reservations system . It's first come first.

Nice fine dine place serving some good Awadhi cuisine in a very royal ambience. They have multiple outlet and this one has been our favourite. The biryani portion are really huge and starter are melt in mouth but portion size are little small. Prices are slightly higher side but that is justified for food quality and ambience

Not upto the mark compared to what they are charging from the customer. Ambience is something that is very much out of mainstream, if u like it u like it. I didn't like the ambience personally. Service is ok. Food taste is of good quantity,but quality is ok but not worth what you are paying for. Music is also something that can make a person disgusted as myself.

Perhaps the most disappointing dinner i have ever had here. In my childhood 12-13 years back it was probably the best Biryani makers in kolkata. The quality is deteriorated drastically but still it is eatable and still better than many famous biryani joints of the city, But the kebabs and the tandoori roti! Oh man! The roti was the worst, kebabs were okay. In kakori kebab chickpeas' proportion was more than that of the minced mutton. Zafrani Kebab was okay, Qalmi Kebab did not disappoint, perhaps the only kebab still tries to be the flag bearer of the quality the restaurant once possessed. Korma n rezala were good. Recommended if you have sweet teeth. Sahi Tukra was okay, Firni was better compared to the shahi Tukra. I am comparing the taste of the Shahi Tukra to that of with the best Shahi Tukras found as Oudh 1590 was once one of the bests. But if you had not have a shahi tukra before and want to experience the taste u should definitely try it. U will love it. I did not try galaowti kebab this time , as i feel the galaowti kebab served here is overhyped, over priced. I had it before. So added to my review. The service was not up to the mark. Maybe the rush of the weekend was the cause. It was late in the evening. They must be tired. They tried hard. In sum, I expected it better @Oudh 1590. Rebuild the stature you once were, otherwise in this competitive market it will be tough for you. A few of your branches are already getting negative reviews.

I loved the fooooooooddddddd!! If you read my food reviews, you will notice I am a hard one to be pleased overall. But oudh is a foodgasming place tbh. Ratings here as follows: Ambience: 4.5/5 Just the mere decor is on fire.. That awadhi feeling.. Food:5/5 Spot on baby ! Service:4/5 Quite good and crowd management is well handled. Cost:4.5/5 I will so far the most cost effective, elegant biriyani I had. Not only that, we had quite many dishes ( some restaurant recommended as well) and the bill was quite quite affordable for a classy place like this. I have a new destination for having biriyani in town now.. Not only that, the variety of spices in the food here is tasty yet light and easily digestible inspite of belonging to a awadhi gharana and that's what made this one of my top choice. Oudh is in itself an immersive sensory experience. Apart from the food, the interior reminds you of a shahi mahal. The decorative items, statues and the paintings definitely add up to the theme of the restaurant: Authentic Awadhi Cuisine. The food is as usual excellent. Murgh Tangri Kebab was drool-worthy, it was delicious to the bone. The whiff of the Metiabruz Biryani had reached me long before it reached my plate. The rice was extremely flavourful and the chicken could have been a little more tender for my taste. Otherwise I absolutely savored the biryani. Our meal was brought to a great showdown with the dessert: classic gajar ka halwa. It was cooked beautifully in ghee and tasted nostalgic. Overall, I would recommend Oudh for any family lunch date.

Staff is veryyyy nice and sweet. They allow cake cutting as well. Loved the staff. Interior is good. Ambience is nice. Food is tasty and at reasonable rate. But they have only one washroom next to kitchen. Only one person at a time can use it and is common for men and women.

Experience is Very bad. Taste of Rann Biryani is as good as a food stall on footpath. I think they serves Biryani with out salt. Coz when we complained for that no one replied any thing regarding that. Gilluty kebab is came from hell.. Side dish : Chicken not satisfied Hygiene: one example... When you wash a glass and put the glass "up side down" on the table with out any coster or plates, that means you are again contaminated that washed glass. We have to touch that contaminated area with our lips...

Great food. A place to for must visit.

Oudh is pretty well known in the city of joy with multitudes of fans, so there’s not really much to write about. It does live up to the hype and the food is indeed phenomenal. We went on a Friday afternoon and by luck, got space to sit. The service was commendable even in such a rush and we were attended to with much care. Love it!

Today we visited Oudh 1590, and ordered special raan biriyani, Murg Bhuna, Galauti kebab, rumali roti, and two drink one is aam khaas, soda shikanji. So those people who didn't want to full experience for them it is a recommended place, but need to keep in mind this is one expensive place and if you need to eat more to full the tummy then this place going to cost you some money. Taste is very very light almost less spices all over the menu. So if you don't care about expensiveness and love less spicy biriyani and other gravies then go for it. And one more thing you are earning handsomely already is there any necessary to force us to buy that 75rs mineral water, atleast spare it when we already bought some drinks. Shameful behaviour. Now time for elaboration See i don't talk about the ambience of the restaurant now a days, i only talk about this when ambience is not breathable or comfortable, so by that this is one of the beautiful ambience holder restaurant. Now about the food We ordered 1 special raan biriyani and this cost us 525 and it very comfortably serves 2 person. Taste wise i actually didn't like it because it is on the lighter side. Now Galauti kebab This kebab is i guess must have item we tried it without porota and enjoyed it fullest. This cost us 395. Murg bhuna ordered for rumali roti here is the bad taste, they serves medium 40-50gm chicken boneless pc with a good portion of gravy but gravy has so much tangy taste and it creates bad after taste absolutely not worth it, and ordered 2 rumali roti they 50 each but after 5 minutes it became rubber. Didn't wanted to mineral water to buy but they are forcing us to buy because i have already ordered aam khas and soda shikanji once again loved soda shikanji and aam khas is too tangy amd salty. Frankly speaking i am never going to visit this place because of expensiveness, mineral water bottle force buy, and very inconsistent tastes and light biriyani. But i understand there are few people who absolutely crave for light biriyani so for them this is good and recommended,unless there are better places present in our kolkata, very soon i will cover one place, till then stay safe eat healthy. This Friday we went to Oudh 1590, Deshapriya park outlet. The resturant is located on a 15min walk from kalighat metro ....on the lane beside banana leaf. The have a great interior with low music. Coming to the food, oudh never dissapoints anyone. The fish tikka we tried cannot be described in words. Awadhi ghost biriyani in earthen pots also tasted good. Chicken kundan kalia also won the taste palatte.

I had always wanted to visit Oudh and finally I went there for dinner ❤ The ambience is just amazing. Starting from decorations, to furniture, music, utensils and staff clothing...everything gives that Nawab vibe. We ordered veg gaulauti kebab, 1 veg biryani, 1 raan biryani and 1 sahi tukda. Every food item was perfectly cooked. The mutton in Raan biryani was so soft and boneless. Just loved it! 10/10 on food. Staff service and behaviour is also very nice . Overall, I am very impressed with Oudh, their food and service. Definitely want to visit again.

An absolute delicacy for Biryani lovers. A very famous restaurant located near Deshapriya Park, Rashbehari, South Kolkata. Gosht Galauti Kabab along with Masala Kulcha and Gosht Awadhi Handi Biryani are my all time favourite at this restaurant.

We ordered galouti kebab, ghost bhuna, rumali roti, laccha paratha, butter naan, gajar halwa and soda shikanji. Galouti Kebab tasted so bad. Now I've had it multiple times at Oudh and i know how good it tastes. But this one was pathetic. Ghost Bhuna was nicely spicy but tasted burnt. Gajar Halwa was warm and delicious. Rumali roti was worse than tawa roti. Butter naan and soda shikanji were good. Service is quick. Ambience is like any other Oudh outlets. FOOD WAS A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT

Me and My sister went for lunch there on 25th. The place was lovely along with its ambience. The waiters were very polite. Although the price may seem a bit high but the taste is very justified. They even packed the remaining food without charging extra. We tried the Handi Biriyani,Murg Buna and Reshmi Kabab and galauti kabab. The amount served were sufficient for the two of us. I would rate the food quality and taste a 5/5.

The food of the mediaeval time has a great impact over the whole country, specially the cuisines of the Mughal era. The Biryani, The Qorma, The Nihari and the list goes on, everything is just mouth watering. The use of different spices each having it's distinct taste but when combined together is something beautiful. The OUDH 1590 does try to bring that same taste in today's world and sure they know how to do it perfectly. The OUDH 1590 tries to mimic the mediaeval era in an exquisite way....the dim yellow lights, the copper utensils, the artwork, the slow music and yes THE FOOD everything is on point. I would one must add this restaurant to their bucket list for experiencing the mediaeval food in that time. It's like a time travel. You have to reach the restaurant and get yourself a table booked by putting your name in the list. It's mostly crowded for eg I got a table for three in about 20 minutes of waiting. The place is easily accessible. The workers are professional and their hospitality is on a different level. The presentation of the food is also good. I've ordered a Dum Biryani handi, half plate Achari Chicken and a plate of chicken tikka for the main course and for the drinks I ordered aam pana and jalzeera. For the dessert I ordered their special Phirni. The food was excellent...the chicken was so tender and juicy, the fragrance and everything was just mouth watering. Phirni was also good.....my mother also makes the same phirni...so I guess it was no different for me😅. I would like to add that the jalzeera was on the higher side in terms of pricing. The food was enough and filling for all three of us and the cost was around ₹1300.... that's kinda easy on the pocket considering the food, the ambience, the hospitality. They also provide finger bowl and misri & saunf when we call for the bill. My overall experience was good and I would recommend this for every person who wants to have a taste of the food of the Mughal times while having the overall experience of that time.

Very lovely resturant with royal ambience

Monsoon is going to start soon at Kolkata and we all know that whatever the weather or the occasion is, for us food means everything. In frame: •CHICKEN STEAMED MOMOS served with clear soup and spicy chutney & •FISH FINGERS(8 pieces) served with kasundi and salad. It is from a fast food joint named Bawarchi at Baghajatin. Favourite munching snacks ❤️

Khandani experience. The time spend over here is every worth of a penny. The ambience was absolutely of Mughal gharana with wall paintings and decorations all throughout the place. The staffs were extremely warm and courteous. They were consistently keeping a check on the customers regarding the maintenance of social distancing and sanitized every chair table and other things at regular intervals. Coming to the food, the resturant offers quality and delicious recipes at a ransom quantity. Two people can easily manage within 1000 bucks. The taste was authentic and highly impressive. 🤩

Oudh 1590, the name is enough to create smile on a food lover's face of Kolkata. The destination for royal biryani and gelowti kebab is here. Located at Deshapriya park opposite Carmel school, the main dish is Mutton raan biryani which I tried with Chicken boneless spicy bhuna and cold drink. Before all of these, I took a plate of Mutton gelowti kebab which was marvelous. The biryani was in a handi and it was enough for two people, there was no potato in it and mutton pieces were small and boneless and superb tasty. This is a must try dish and you will not be disappointed for sure. Currently a biryani festival is going on there where you'll find some rare different kind of biryanis. The cost was approx 1400 for two of us. The ambience was great and the behavior of all staffs was amazing. This is a nice restaurant with good mughal ambience and very good behaving staffs. The food here is little costly but the quality and quantity of the food is as per the cost. You can enjoy a very good meal here, its not on the main road but in an alley, there is also parking available in front of the restaurant. I had ordered Biriyani here and it is really nice, after long time I had a biriyani this good.

Very nice place with a period (Mughal) decor. Ambience is very good. However, light was not quite adequate for a few tables near the wall as well as the area just beside the entrance. Almost dark. Food is very tasty and quantity sufficient. The young men who serves the clients, are efficient and the service is prompt. One thing I found a bit disturbing was, some of the staff were quarrelling or talking among themselves in raised voices, standing near the adjoining door of the kitchen. This should not happen in a place like this.

Awesome place for all kinds of visitors, teens/family/kids.etc. Modertately high price rates but worth the quality and authenticity of the food served. Taste and freshness is amazing. Definitely a sure visit if one can afford👍

If you compare it with other outlets it's a bit small & congested. Okay okay atmosphere. I think Salt Lake one is much better than this outlet. The majority of the portion is restricted to customers I don't know why. Food good is as usual. Service is a bit late. Okey experience not like "wow". If it is near you & you want to have some experience you can try it.

I loved the interior design and the ambience. I also liked the fact that they are taking all sort of measures in sanitizing and keeping the place safe. The food was really good. I would recommend Gulati Kebab and Lucknow Paratha. It was really a good combination. Also, we ordered Nargis Kofta which was really superb and tasty. I was not happy with the Tandoori Rotis as it was thin and not soft. However I was also not satisfied with desserts. We ordered Shahi Tukda and it was not that good. Overall, it was a good experience. It's an expensive place and I think Arsalan or Kareems are at par or a bit better then it.

Still the best biryani around. For anyone who has a desire to taste, one of the best biryanis in Kolkata, they are welcome to visit here. Nobody will be disappointed. The quantity is sufficient for one heavy eater or one n half light eaters easily. The ambience is well maintained in every outlets. Hygiene is well maintained.

Very disappointed. Been there couple of times before. After lockdown visited for the first time. Very poor quality of rice in raan biriyani. Felt like having steamed rice with boiled mutton. Only Butter naan was good. Overall not good at all.

according to me it is the most beautiful and palatable restaurant for biryani.The most aromatic biryani i have ever found in there.They provide biryani in a handi,which is good enough for 2 person.you can try here,raan biryani(lamb meat),galouti kebab,mutton nihari. Land mark- 1)near lake market ,3 mins from lake mall. 2)near vivekanada park. nb- the atmosphere is pretty good,and you can find some royal decoration. Most of the festive season it was completely full,so if you want to come you can book your seat via phone call.

This is an authentic awadhi restaurant located at deshapriya park. From kalighat metro station and rasbihari more, it is at walkable distance. Oudh 1590 has other branches as well at saltlake etc. At normal times, they offer copper cutleries for dine-in. But during covid time, they are using disposable cutlery's. However their interior decorations and Lucknow gharana music makes people nostalgic about ancient culture. Their special cuisine is awadhi handi biryani(mutton), ghost roganjosh, galwati kabab, firni, sahi tukra and aam khaash. That makes a must have visit to this place.

Ambience is cool with light music playing in the background and the food just complements the whole environment.... Considering the current pandemic, they are serving in thermocol plates. It seemed a little odd and uncomfortable to eat in those plates. Otherwise good.

Very good servicing and sanitization for this pandemic situation (covid-19). Biryani is my favourite and shahi tukra is my favourite. Definitely next time I will try the shahi tukra (sweet dish). If you are biryani lover. So you definitely try out Awadhi handi biryani.👍

Oudh 1590 is a speciality resturent that serves awadhi dishes. This place gives you the typical awadhi feel. I just love the environment most importantly the taste of their biriyani and kulfi was too good. Highly recommended place. Recently modified, but food quality is still an issue. Staffs are not consistent. Every week, different staffs which results in different tastes of the same food. Biryani is not at all recomended but rolls are quite filled and tasty. Price is not cheap, average.

2 star for their ordinary, probably just OK food (price doesn't reflect so, Rs 200 for mix gravy chow mein from their counter). I normally avoid this outlet, as their cooks are at best, mediocre. Coming to the delivery time, the person who took the order said 20/25 mins, and delivered in just under 1 hour. His logic was suddenly they received too many orders! Well, I ordered from their counter, and he could have informed that me straightway. Unprofessional indeed. In fact in front of me, 2 Swiggy guys said that the their order is cancelled due to this kind of time management. To summarise this is basically a roll centre, nothing more than that. You can try their servings if you have ample time to wait.

Totally a scam.....!!!! I just ordered chilli chicken and I noticed two pieces were completely made of ararot.....and two were chicken but not great quality..... It was just a dough of ararot......didn't expect that from a well repudiated restaurant......

Good place for a quick bite. We had a chicken roll which costs a bit more than usual and tastes extremely ordinary. Rather, the bread (parantha) used to make the roll was too flaky and oily most probably because they are using old dough. The filling tasted good. Very average place.

I AM just giving five star for the.. food.. The biriyani was too much delicious..and the ambience the background music was so melodious and you people will feel like you are having food in a royal place...but the behaviour of staff and the manager is too bad... And.. every one have to share table.. with other people.. it's very bad...

We visited in the third week of August. It is open and they are following high safety. At the entrance you will be greeted and sanitized (even you shoes and stuffs too). They have kept a separate section for bags and all. So you will be siting freely without your bags and baggages. They are offering Thermocol plates and spoons completely wrapped. We ordered Galauti kabab and Awadhi Biriyani and aam sherbet. I love their galauti kabab, soft and flavourful. Biriyani quantity is enough for two. (do not expect potato here). Didn't like the aam sherbet, it was too sugary. Pocket punch is around 900/- which is pretty reasonable. This outlet is located just on the lane of Banana leaf.

Quantity and quality of food is good. Behaviour of staff is excellent. But no onion is complimentary. You have to pay for this which is very Costly 😀😀😀🙂

Heard about this place and wanted to try out. To be honest, disappointed with the quality of food. Did not do justice to the price tag and name that it had made for itself. We ordered bharwan chicken, galawti kebab, lukhnowi paratha and chicken Irani. The bharwan chicken and lukhnowi paratha was decent. The rest were pretty average. One thing that stood out was the ambiance and staff. Ambiance was very soothing with soulful classical music. The staff were helpful.

Very good environment. Decoration is really attractive. But too much expensive for middle class family. They are even doing business with corona. They are taking too much sanitizing charge, plate charge and water charge. They will not give any water, you have to buy it. Taste of biriyani is just ok ok... it’s food presentation is really attractive but test like normal..

Went there on my birthday for lunch. Amazinggggggg!!! food quality and also quantity. Staffs are well behaved and also served dishes by their own. But some of them are quite rude. I've asked for tissue papers one of them denied for it. But got it from another staff. Whatever liked the ambience also. Ordered: •Awdh special rann biryani , ( enough for 2people) •Galawti kebab, •Ghosht Rogan Josh Each and every food were soo delicious. Good taste and quantity both. At last they provide hot water with lemon and rose petal into it which seems like their tradition and it was good.

Oudh 1590, an iconic name in Kolkata in the field of Biryani. Had a scrumptious lunch on a Saturday late afternoon after waiting for more than an hour outside. Our lunch menu consisted of Aam Khaas, Soda Shikanji, Galawti Kebab (obvious one when you're visiting Oudh 1590), Afghani Kebab, Murg Awadhi Handi Biryani, Murg Metiabruz Biryani and last but not the least Firni. They don't compromise at all when it comes to taste!! Biryani quantity was more than enough. And as usual lighting of Oudh 1590 is not very photography friendly. But still amidst this COVID-19 situation how they are providing service is really commendable.

Extremely overrated and overpriced. Tasteless food, does not justify the price. However, proportion wise Handi Biryani is good as per the price. Galouti Kebab is bland as hell.

I visited this place couple of times. I really enjoyed my time here. My detail feedback is like below. Pros : 1. Location is very convenient. 2. Staffs are cooperative and friendly. 3. Foods are really good and tasty. 4. Ambience is also very good. Cons: 1. The area inside the restaurant is not very good. So the number of the table is less. 2. In weekend there is long waiting queue at outside. 3. There is no option for pre-booking of tables.

As you enter this diner the whole ambience with thumris playing in the background is gonna hit you with a majestic feeling. The staff, as polite as they are will be guiding you to your table providing a hospitable treatment throughout the stay. We went for the famous Galouti kebab which was as good as it was heard. But the biryani (Gosht Awadhi Handi) and Murgh Bhuna were not at all delectable ones. So obviously there is nothing quite exceptional about this food here. Even the combination (above mentioned biriyani with bhuna, as suggested by the staff) was not relishing. However this restaurant can be a personal favourite of many. But I thought of coming up with an honest review. P.S: Not intending to hurt anyone's sentiment.

I ordered aam khaas, badaam sharbati, chicken zafrani kebab, ghost galavati kebab, lucknowi roti, ghost rogan josh. Loved every bite of the food. The ambience adds a beautiful flavor to the food. The food here is absolutely delicious. The ambience is very nice, royal decor with thumris and ghazals playing in the background. Service was very good but they were rushing throughout. Right after giving the dessert they came with the bill and wanted it to be paid but I'd not even finished eating. This rushing throughout the meal was a put off for me but the food is terrific indeed.

I went there with my friends to have lunch. We had tandoori roti with butter chicken and chicken rezala. We also had azadi handi biriyani and kebabs. The atmosphere is perfect and customer service is great. Also you have to wait a bit if it is crowded inside.

In starter we ordered Veg Paneer Kabab & Chicken Sik Kabab & Aam Sarbat. (they have no intension to take veg order. Waiter contenuously saying "veg dish take long time. We say ok still saying same on main course" ) We atleast expect from Oudh that in Aam Sarbat will contain actual Bhuna Kaccha Aam. Even road side stall offer that in Rs 50. They prepare that with aam syrup contains high added sugar & food color. Biriyani Rice quality is soo good. Its so soft. But Mutton quality small low but ok. Veg biriyani contain paneer & other sabji in good quantity. Good for 2. Ambience is awesome.

Pretty awesome place situated in Kalighat area of Kolkata. I went there a couple of weeks ago for a family dinner. Although I had to wait 15-20mins to get myself a table, the experience was totally satisfying. The ambience is quite rustic with a pretty limited sitting space and beautiful awadhi style decor. Gave a shot to their signature Mutton Galauti Kebab, Chicken Zaffrani tikka, Aam panna, Chicken Kassa and Awadhi Handi Biryani. Needless to say, all of these dishes were phenomenal. The biryani served over here was quite moist and flavourful with juicy chunks of meat served with a hard boiled egg. The chicken was also a well prepared dish that could be tried. I would highly recommend this place to all. Happy eating.

The ambience of this restaurant always makes me happy.The food ican be rated as good.The Galwati Kebab could have been much better; in fact Indian Restaurant makes much better Galwati kebab.The kolkata style Mutton biriyani is nice,light and flavourful.With Biriyani we took Gosht Khade Masala which was very nice but both in Biriyani and Gosht Khade Masale the pieces of mutton were very small.The Soda shikanji was good.The price is higher than average.

One of the earlier outlets of Oudh. The decor & ambiance, as like the other outlets is a signature. Food again, is decent enough. I usually keep my orders pretty much the same at all the outlets. The quality of food served and taste is really remarkable I really liked the galoti kaba, the paratha, the soad sikanji, butter chicken but according to my taste preference the mutton raan biriyani was avarage .

We have tried chicken galouti kebab, chicken zafrani kebab, mutton biriyani and Shahi chicken, shahi tukra in dessert....mutton biriyani was taste awesome and mutton was cooked well but chicken galouti kebab disappointed me very much, it was not so tasty.. it's like normal street side kebab..and all the items overpriced in compare to quantity..ambience was calm and cool, neat and clean..
