Good ambience. Very clean and hygienic. Methodically arranged segments. Going there and watching business a couple of minutes around, one would understand the way things are done. One thing bothered me. That is the doctors wanting not to serve under mediclaim schemes in opd. This is an outrage. This practice is not exclusive to Fortis alone though. There is a huge canteen at the sixth floor. Food is good and well nigh cheap. What is costly is the treatment and test. If you are not under any health scheme and you are not very well off, forget having treatment here. This place is for the rich. Sad but true.

This is undoubtedly one of the best hospitals in Kolkata. Doctors and other staff members are all very courteous and helpful. I particularly found people at insurance desk very helpful and informative. The overall cleanliness of the hospital is really very good. Toilets are cleaned in regular intervals. Few things that I found the hospital needs to improve 1. Admission desk should have more people for handling admission related issues. 2. Few nursing staff are very new in their job and lack professionalism. 3. Should have drinking water facility at every floor for visitors.

I'm a patient writing this from the cardiac ward. Worst experience ever in my life. The nurses are so rude and unfriendly. I am diagnosed with severe hypertension and all they did was give me more stress. When I was shifted from the ICU ... Knowing my history they did not check my pressure the entire night and morning. Till I called my dad in the morning and told him ... Then the other patient told one of the nurses to check my pressure... When they did one hour before the doctor could come. They realised it was 180/100, they were stunned and quickly gave me my medicine to bring it down. Everytime I asked them to help me they were telling me do it myself, you can't see I have so many patients. Then I asked them am I not a patient. Un-coot helps and un-coot nurses. My first time Ive come across a hospital where men and women are also put under the same ward. Never Have I faced such a thing in any hospital. All these nurses shout the entire day talking about when they gonna leave work or about when who's taking they Puja holidays. They run from one end to the other making this ward like a park. Serious patients are here too... Just like I have my phone but a courtesy of keeping it on silent other patients and nurses hv they phone on ringer making the room so noisy. Patients are watching serials and housekeeping are watching cricket on they phones. I would really never ever recommend anyone to come here to Fortis ever again and I would never personally come here myself again. Really very very sad the way the world is moving. Especially people .. these are supposed to be taking care of the sick but it looks a circus more than anything .... Before anyone questions why did I not take a cabin, only because I never wanted to be alone in one room cooped up.

Awful experience, especially Ronen Roy's team. Avoid in all cost if you have some self respect and esteem left in you. The hospital is less about patient and more about making money, they will squeeze the last drop out of you. A big "up yours" to you all.

In gastroenterology department waiting area is small and even basic seating arrangement for patient is very few. And waiting time is near about 2 hours, not any numbering (token) system so you can't guess what is your serial number. Even front desk receptionist can't help about this.

My mother was admitted last week in ICU. Later on she was shifted to a twin-sharing room. She is a 71 year old frail lady. She has lung disease. Usually she had to wait for at least 45 minutes for someone to assist her to go to bathroom. Initially she waited, later on started going alone. One day she asked for water at around 3 pm. When I visited her during visiting hour at around 4.15 pm, she was still waiting for water. I informed the staff again and then only she got a bottle of water. I have been visiting this hospital for last 9 years. My parents have been admitted there multiple times. You need to see into these small things to make patients' stay comfortable. Otherwise, the doctors are good, hospital staff are cordial, except the billing department. Most patients' families complain there about billing department's cold behavior. There is always a long queue as they are either not available or busy with something else.

Corona treatment cost is extremely high which is not within the reach of a middle class family unless you have insurance. Even if you have insurance, they will ensure to exhaust all of it. Per day billing at days for a Corona patient admitted in a ICU is almost 60k. For a disease like Corona which is a pandemic, where in govt hospitals treatment is completely free, what additional treatment you are giving to a patient, that you are billing so high? Try to be a hospital with a human face and not just a money minting machine.

This is a private hospital located ar Anandapur EM bypass, behind Kolkata international school. They provide high end medical services both OPD and IPD basis. It has radiology, gynaecology, international patient help desk, admission insurance and corporate desk at ground floor. At the entrance there is a reception where you can obtain treports and information of the hospital. In the left there is a coffee counter, the lobby is filled with the aroma. In the lobby you can also see the whole spectrum of Doctors in the hospital listed in boards. Consultation fees varies from 800 to 1500 Dr to Dr. In every floor they have clean toilets for male and female. Second floor is dedicated to urology, dialysis unit, blood collection. Cardiology unit is on the fourth floor with OPD and tests like ECG ECCO TMT etc. Fifth floor is OT. In the sixth floor there is a nice cafeteria. Where good food is available. Veg meal is at 60 rupees as on January 2023. You get rice daal and a couple of curries. Some of the days some good special menu is also there. You can have snacks coffee beverages at moderate peice according to availability. During the lunch hour around 1.30 to। 2.30 it is heavily crowded. Some good small food shops are outside also. There you can have Maggie, rice, roti, bread, tea, and fries। Seventh and Eighth floor is IPD patient cabins and rooms. Tenth floor is administrative block. It has elevator and stairs. My kidney transplantation took place in Fortis under Dr Suchandra Das. I took some dialysis there also. The overall experience was good. The office staff, Nurses, Doctors every one were very helpful. Cost of treatment is also reasonable as per the standard. May Lord bless Fortis and they continue to cure more and more people from their ailments.

One from my Family had a minor operation here. The hospital is very clean and scenic in terms of view and the single occupancy Suits are very well equipped too. The hospital is a little short on staff and the main issue is with the quality of food being served. Even the food given to the patient is of bad taste and quality and sometime they don't serve food on time. However, in terms of treatment we are satisfied.

The doctors here are world class without any doubt. Extremely skilled, experienced, and professional. The nurses are well trained and empathetic towards the patients. However, the support staffs (receptionist, secretaries) need more grooming on how to behave well with the patients. Overall, the treatment quality here is price worthy and one of the best in India.

Worst hospital i have ever experienced. Requesting everyone not to consider this hospital - Fortis Anandapur This hospital is completely waste. I was admitted by getting an approx estimate from the doctors and their team. But the final bill that they provided was just the double. Also during the day of my operation, i was suffering like anything and was calling the sisters/ nurses for so long time but no one came for help instead i had to suffer a lot of pain here. Also the sisters/nurses who are here all intern from different colleges. Omg i am just spellbound that hospital like Fortis is just a place to experiment your body in the hands of intern. They couldn’t even put the saline channels properly, and for this reason my both the hands were pricked and had to face a lot of blood loss. I took the worst decision of getting myself operated from here. Nothing but had to face lot of drama, and looted for the services and amenities that I didn’t even get or experience. I want to put this information to the higher authority who is taking care of it and would like to advise everyone out there not to choose Fortis Anandapur.

Very courteous and polite staff, always helpful and patient with the people. The environment is healthy and calming, with good management except for very rush hours. But they do their best to manage the patients and services. Most doctors I have seen here are very professional yet caring, never advising treatments or tests unnecessarily, and very efficient in detecting and treating the problems. My whole family is a regular here, and we never think twice before booking an appointment with any doctor in any field at this hospital. Thank you Fortis and keep growing at this pace.

One of the worst hospitals in Kolkata(Anandapur branch), with worst doctors and staffs. When called in the hospital to get an update of our patient they received and kept the phone aside saying that the refered person in coming but didn't came and kept me online for 15min which is very unprofessional and unexpected from such a renowned hospital. They treat there patients carelessly and don't respond to the questions asked by the patient party as the say "THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SAY ANYTHING SO WE SHOULD ASK THE DOCTOR " where the doctor also don't responds properly. But they don't forget to INCREASE THE BILL AMOUNT OF THE PATIENT, which is heart wrenching .. So from our experience do not get admitted to this hospital if you and your relatives want to return alive from the hospital.. Thankyou.

Really good, clean and responsible Superspeciality Hospital at Kolkata with good qualified doctors, efficient and good nurses and other medical staff. Service at the Reception & Billing counters have improved a lot from the previous chaotic state. One gentleman Mr. Iqbal is exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. However, the food served for patients and at the Restaurant is awful and unappetizing.

I had been admitted to this hospital under Dr BB Sarkar and Dr Manish Ganguly. Both of them treated me carefully and talked nicely . But besides them a number of junior doctors visited to just ask me "Keman achhen, kono problem nei to?", this was really confusing. Most of these doctors even did not check my file also and went on. The visits were chargeable. The nurse team of HDU were very hospitable and caring. My last six days were spent in a twin sharing cabin on eighth floor. The nurses there were mostly careless and not sincere. Some of them behaved very rudely. Especially Brother Rupak , I couldn't forget his attitude towards an ailing patient, so awefull. The nurses purchased so many articles from farmacy which were not needed and left unused. Then they took away all of those without information. The heavy bill was charged upon me.

Most reviews here are four star but I'd go to five because it's perhaps the best large multi-speciality hospital in Kolkata right now. The price tags are reasonable, specialist doctors are good at their disciplines, staff is disciplined and courteous and (at least in my experience) this doesn't seem to have become a money making racket like many other hospitals in the city. My photos are mainly the names of the doctors listed by their speciality right next to the reception, for public information. Apart from these, there are just two photos, the view of the building from the entrance portico and a view from one of the private cabins on the 8th floor.

Everything went well except the arrangement in the waiting place on the 4 th floor cardiac unit. I suffer from RA, and have difficulty in sitting in a low chair. All the stainless steel chairs were of very low height and it was an herculean task for me to get out of the chair. It would be extremely helpful for patients like me with bad knees to have a few chairs of higher elevation. Otherwise the service was excellent as it was wont.

Booking system provides a time which has no link with when the doctor normally comes - this leads to avoidable delays. Also quite a few staff were not wearing masks when walking around, they wore it only once they were at the counter.

Have had really good experience with the hospital. All consultation, scanning, tests are good. The rooms is not available water washroom is not cleaning but water is not coming maintained. The nursing staff is really good and check up on your very often. The food is okay but that's never a thing of concern while there. The diagnosis and treatment of the doctors makes sense and didn't seem like they were doing it for the money

Cutting-Edge Excellence in Surgical Care: A Review of Robotic Surgery at Fortis Anandapur As medical technology continues to advance, Fortis Anandapur has positioned itself at the forefront of innovation with its state-of-the-art Robotic Surgery program. Offering a revolutionary approach to surgery, the hospital has seamlessly integrated robotic assistance into its procedures, elevating the standards of patient care. Robotic Surgery, or Robot-Assisted Surgery, distinguishes itself by employing a minimally invasive approach in which a skilled surgeon harnesses the power of robotic arms. These robotic arms, under the precise control of the surgeon seated at a nearby console, redefine the boundaries of surgical capabilities. What sets Fortis Anandapur apart is its commitment to providing superior control, maneuverability, access, flexibility, range of motion, and accuracy through the implementation of this cutting-edge technology. The technological marvel lies in the miniature robotic instruments mounted on the robotic arms. Guided by a powerful 3D camera, these instruments navigate through small skin incisions, affording surgeons a magnified, high-resolution view. This exceptional visibility enables surgeons to execute precise and delicate movements during surgery, a feat not easily achievable through traditional methods. One crucial distinction that sets Fortis Anandapur's robotic surgery apart is the complete control maintained by the expert surgeon. The robots used in these procedures are not autonomous entities; they do not make decisions or movements independently. Instead, the surgeon, sitting at the console, commands the robotic arms with unparalleled precision, ensuring a personalized and patient-centric approach. The Robotic Surgery system comprises the console, where the surgeon sits, the robotic arms, and a side-cart. It is at this console that the surgeon orchestrates the intricate dance of the robotic arms, directing them with the finesse of a maestro conducting an orchestra. The seamless integration of human expertise with robotic assistance is a testament to Fortis Anandapur's commitment to excellence in surgical care. A critical factor in the success of robotic surgery is the rigorous training and certification process undergone by the medical professionals at Fortis Anandapur. Prior to handling the surgical robot, doctors undergo specialized training to ensure they can harness its full capabilities. This dedication to training and certification guarantees that the surgical team at Fortis Anandapur possesses the expertise required to provide the best possible clinical outcomes. Over the past two years, Robotic Surgery has emerged as a game-changer in surgical care, and Fortis Anandapur has been at the forefront of embracing and optimizing this transformative technology. This innovative approach has not only added a new dimension to surgical care but has also established itself as a superior and safer option compared to traditional minimally invasive surgery (MIS). In conclusion, Fortis Anandapur's Robotic Surgery program represents a pinnacle of excellence in the field of surgical care. The fusion of cutting-edge technology, skilled surgical expertise, and a commitment to patient well-being positions Fortis Anandapur as a leader in providing safer, more precise, and highly effective surgical interventions.

Dr. Suchir Maitra is an excellent doctor. His manner of speaking acts as a confidence booster for the patient. A true gentleman and acts with precision.5 Star rating for Doctor. Coming to Fortis Hospital - My first time and it was a horrible experience. I had pre-approval cashless insurance and the hospital staff misguided me by asking to deposit Rs.60000 No proper screening of people entering the hospital. Single private room was Rs.9200 per day. Overpriced and not upto the mark. Hospital staff was sleeping in the room before we entered. Asked to sanitize which they didn't. Food very cheap. Will make the patient even worse We stayed for almost 2 days. They charged for 2.5 days stating check out time is 11 AM like they have in hotels. The worst part - Patient got discharged at 9 PM. The information shared with Insurance was in bits and pieces and not clear in regards to the treatment done. It was like a war was going on between both of them. Eventually my doctor had to sort it out by speaking with doctors of the insurance company. I had never faced so much harassment previously from any other hospitals. I went to Fortis only because of Dr. Suchir Maitra .He is like a God to us. Excellent treatment, guidance and very helpful in nature.

OPD gives appointment time for fun. You may have to wait 1-2 hour depending on your luck. There was some 100 buck corona sanitization charge. However they did not even give some sanitizer while entering. Waiting area etc were pretty crowded. Why? Because appointment time is just for entering in the system.

I had to admit my son, Siddhartha, to the Fortis Hospital Anandapur for a surgery under Dr. D.J. Bhowmik, who is not only an excellent surgeon but also quite cooperative. Apart from him Dr. Rudrajit Roy, Medicine Specialist, also attended my son with cordial approach and sincerity. We are highly satisfied with all other things like nursing, billing and more importantly the processing and settling of medical insurance. I was really surprised to know that we didn't have to pay a single rupee at the time of discharge. Absolute cashless right from admission to discharge coupled with good behaviour. Thanks a lot.

This hospital is know to us... Nearly two years back, my wife wax admitted for apparent cardiac problem. Dr. Suvanon Roy , head of Cardiac non invasive, a friend of ours took care of her. Her pulse es 40 when he checked her at OPD.. HE ORDERED me to get my wife admitted in the IICU... after a day, he asked me if he can perform some out of the box treatment... I agreed... He placed a pace maker out side her chest.. And inserted a probe in her neck. This operation continued for two days.... He then told me that her pulse fell not due to no heart ailment... It was, due to reaction of some bunch of medicine which she used to take for T2 diabetics!!! And Dr. Roy released her after a stY of six days. I am sure, any other hospital, the Doc would have placed a permanent pace maker!!!!? ... Today, I went to book one Doc. For my knee replacement. The lady in the reception was so nice... All fixed... On my return home, she had sent a text confirming me appointment. Great job!

The hospital pharmacy has not cleared the dues of vendors from last 3 years. They are only returning the expired medicine and deducting that amount from their dues. Such a fraud is shameful for a big institution like Fortis. They do not reply to repeated emails, letters etc. They buy medicine for dirt low and sell at MRP, still are so greedy to halt payments of the vendors.

Well planned, reasonably modern hospital. Fortis as a brand goes well in the market. Location is a bit odd for a hospital. Approaching road is kind of spiralling and condition is not good when you enter from EM bypass. Went to get vaccinated, experienced the staff did get confused with the queue and messed it up. Non medical staff seems like not upto the standards. So 1 star less because of the two experiences as stated above. Otherwise, nurses, availability of doctors, beds and other facilities are good. Parking space for visitors available inside if required which is excellent for any hospital. Overall, a good hospital near EM bypass is very much required and I hope all of you stay fit, healthy and you never need to visit it.

We visited a doctor in this hospital and he asked for some tests. The tests were done and then there was heavy rain in kolKata with the places near the hospital having water logging. We were not able to come due to that. Then we called the hospital for appointment and was told that he was busy in OT and they gave one other day appointment. On that day when we came, they asked us to pay the full consultation fee. This is totally unacceptable. This delay happened due to weather issues and the doctor appointment unavailability. These are not related to us then why should we pay the full fees to show the reports. I have been to a lot of esteemed hospitals across the country and have seen their customer friendly face where they consider these insurmountable conditions. I am totally disappointed with this and the behaviour of the person at the counter. The hospital should look into this and try having a more patient friendly behaviour. Hospitals should not be run like this just like a money mining machine.

Disappointed !!! Poor Management !!! No seating arrangement for patient visitors / family. Only 10-12 seats at the Admission and Billing lounge. And No seat at the Reception Lounge. Everything is Late Process there. My Father-in-law was there. Too much unnecessary Bill they add. Be careful before admission. 5 out of 5 for Paliwal Sir and Debojyoti Sir ♥️

It is a fish market. Insufficient place for patients. Any one can be affected by covid in out door of the hospital. No mask some of the patients. No one is alerming them. Not worth paying premium. Could be good hospital to transform for "Sastha Sathi" good luck Fortis

Here service is very good . When I admitted in hospital I got care from nurses. All are good. I appreciate. I told my friends to come here for any orthopedic problems to Dr. Gaurav Gupta. They came and told me that the services are very good. All nurses care me as a child. Very clean and hygienic. The environment are so good

The most horrible experience. While being very sick they refuse to attend me, they literally said I had to wait for days. Staff very rude, making me go around the hospital many times as if I was not very very sick. Would never come back here

Just a place to gobble up money, with or without treatment at their whim. Under any scenario they will make sure to take money from you, either for treatment, diagnosis or pathology. But, that doesn’t mean you will get proper treatment, copies of your test result or pathology reports. After the bill receipts are issued, then there is either a long wait, come back the next day, come back when hospital reopens, the staff and administration is least bothered to give you your due treatment or help. I visited this place for an emergency OPD, bills were paid, kept waiting for 3/4 hrs, but the doctor’s assistant came back and asked me to come after 5/6 days. They would go on leave after taking my money and keeping me in misery.

My mother's been to the hospital for laproscopic hyterectomy. It's been two months and she is absolutely fine. No problems whatsoever The gynaecologist anesthesiologist and the whole staff is very polite My mother said the housekeeping really polite and kind Even the doctors all of them treat her like family The ward boys and sisters too are very nice and keep everything in their mind when moving her from onefloor to another for checkups Overall it has better at everything. We have been to Apollo and Amri but Fortis is by far the best one.

Teleconsultion is being carried without proper infrastructure support. Though doctors consultation fees are accepted online through digital mode, proper digitaly signed payment slips / money receipts are not being provided. In order to collect money receipt (for submission to medical insurance claims) one has to physically visit hospital . However, support and administrative personals are always cooperative and helpful.

The doctor I visited in OPD was really good. But the staff at the Hospital was not friendly. The person in charge of the billing counter was not present and the OPD system was pretty much mismanaged. In fact the doctor said there was no sanitizer or towel kept for him. They changed Rs 150 separately for the COVID protection but never once was a sanitizer was provided for the patients.

Hospital was clean but took awfully long time in getting the tests done. There wasn’t much crowd also but still staff were clueless about what needs to be done as the next step. Cafeteria was half open and food was not good at all. Not all the reports are available online and one has go to the hospital to collect the reports. Parking fees are exorbitant.

Quite unpleasant experience with the admission process, rest of the arrangements truly great. There is absolute lack of coordination between the emergency desk and the admission desk, which is aggravated by a very slow admission process at the admission front desk. I am attached to this hospital since 2014 in association with the TKR of both legs as well as other ailments of my wife .I found that the behaviour of doctors i had attended were really homely and friendly.Ii would be injustice if i don't mention them here, the names of some of them are viz., Dr.Debasis Chakraborty(bone and joint) , Dr.Rachna Hati Mazumder, Dr.Shibabrata Banerjee(medicine) and others.Other support team in various depts who helped doctors in association with the treatment, too were cordial and felt like our own men. I have experience of other hospitals, where she was being denied to perform TKR at her the then age. I would recommend others for FORTIS. At the point of discharge of one such TKR ,i was supposed to have my fed back.I feeded with the need of an ATM at the hospital for patients; and it was complied. Thanks

Whilst the overall service was good , the following observations I have 1) The private deluxe room has wooden partitions with other rooms . This is extremely disturbing and annoying as sound travels from the other rooms . Was awake most of the night as a patient in the other room with his attendant kept on speaking loudly . Fortis needs to look into this . I was in room 812 2) My discharge was due on Sunday early morning. However we were kept waiting for hours as the typist wasn’t available to type out the discharge summary . They said this happens typically on a Sunday . I was expecting to be home by 11 am but got the formalities wrapped up only by 1.30 pm 3 ) For the price of the deluxe room that Fortis charges , one would expect better amenities. Crucial is no hot water available in the taps to take a shower , this too during winter months . Also Fortis needs to do something about the mosquitoes overall in the hospital, opd & rooms

Very poor experience regarding the hospitality staffs. They did not provide timely services as per doctor recommendation. I had to ask most of the time about my medicines to the hospitality staffs. Sometimes, I also had to ask for the room cleanliness also. I was actually looking for more stars to rate Fortis Hospital Anandapur Branch. What an amazing service! Each and every staff, the doctors, RMO's , ward boys, lift person, security personnel, everyone including the ones on TPA desk , Billing counter, emergency service department, are so well behaved and helpful. I have been to so may different hospitals in Kolkata but never have I ever come across one like Fortis. Trust me I am no member of Fortis group neither am I getting any benefit putting a positive comment. The way they saved my father in time of crisis, the way they handled the situation deserves a huge round of applause. From my personal experience I would request eveyone reading my comment to trust FORTIS and let them treat you patient. Thank you for all your help.

This is perhaps the worst hospital in India...they are only after your money... everyday bill was 100000 rupees or more per day for nothing hundreds of costly meaningless tests to increase bill...patient condition was getting worse day by day... unnecessary treatment...their plan is to rob all your money and finally kill the patient. They try to confuse you by giving u new theories like kidney failure and cancer so that u r forced to pay more... Bill was 400000 rupees 200000 on tests 100000 on medicine and the rest in consumables at unbelievable rates... for same procedures everyday. Don't go there ever...like ever or you have to sell everything to pay their bills.

Doctor is fully unprofessional. They only check how money could be earned from the patient. I had treatment for my father. Doctor had angioplasty for him. In the very next visit, doctor has forgotten what he did; even he was not able to recognise it from the prescription; I had to inform him. Then then doctor just prescribed medicine without even asking my father how he is - only 2 min time spent by doctor for the check-up. I had to wait for 2.5 long hrs (even after getting prior appointment) and 1k for a 2 min check up. Later point of time when I visited other doctor in other hospital, his opinion was - angioplasty was not required

Prior to this in Jan'2018 I had received an SMS stating refund of some 20000₹ towards a bill that I paid for a surgery from Fortis but when turned up at the hospital your staffs initially asked me to come some other day to collect the refund and then on a later date denied of sending such sms. My husband Biswajit Sengupta underwent a successful knee replacement surgery by Dr. Ronen Roy on February 2, 2021. We were extremely satisfied with the services of doctors, nursing staff, and other staff. But we faced the following adverse issues which I thought of sharing for necessary corrective action on your side. I feel these were mainly due to administrative lapses. 1) although OT date was fixed for 2.2.21 , I came to know about the actual OT time (8am) on 2nd Feb at 6:30am. 2) Bedsheets and partition curtains in twin sharing rooms were stained. 3) I had opted for the twin bed option. The pre-OT room was ok, but when the patient was transferred from surgery ICU he was provided bed no 755 in a room which has no windows and thus suffocating and depressing for the patient. Although he was shifted the next day to a proper room at my request, I feel such windowless enclosures are depressing for patients. A patient needs to be in a cheerful mood after such major operations. Except for the above issues, we are extremely happy with our experience in Fortis. Thank You Arundhati Sengupts (Wife of Biswajit Sengupta) 3C Mayukh, 68/3 Pratapaditya Road Kolkata 700026

Poor experience with the reception & hospitality. It seems at the reception the staffs are overloaded and so the whole process becomes very slow. There are not even enough chairs where the patients can sit and wait. I had to wait for more than 3 hours for a test and I had to stand all the while. Most of the time the calls are not received by hospital. It is mentioned that calling enquiry can be done from 8am to 8pm but after 7pm, the phone is switched off always.

Admission system of FORTIS HOSPITAL of Anandapur, Kolkata is very very bad & wasting time for a kidney failure patient to Emergency ward. When two doctors of the Fortis advice my patient to immediate ADMISSION to the hospital but their BED MANAGER denied and told me to visit another day. If any mishaps or any accident be appeared who will be responsible for that. The question and answer is for the Fortis Hospital.

Treatment facility is prompt and refine. We can depend on that. Costing wise same that of other corporate hospital. Discount should be offered to patient having no insurance. General Washroom in first floor not up to the mark it should be more clean.

Fortis have a well maintained vaccination center. If you can reach here early (10 pm-11pm) then surely you can avoid crowd. Notice carefully they only take cash payments at counter. They prepare your vaccine in front of you and they also have a post vaccination waiting area. Nurse recommended to wait there for 30 minutes but its your choice to stay or not. You can register yourself by cowin portal and walk - in is also available

I Was admitted yesterday in day care ward for the stain removal and cystoscopy process after 7 days since my KT operation, although the treatment was good but the service was not up to the mark, the day care bed doesn't even have any alarm system to contact the nurses in case of emergency, after an hour of the procedure I was having pain and was screaming for help but nobody was there to assist, thanks to god after around 45 mins of struggle one staff came to visit and called the doctor for help. So my suggestion for the hospital is to take few measure in day care ward (like calling system/alarm) as well when you are dealing with emergency patients like me who has undergone KT operation and in need of utmost care.

It's one of Kolkata's best hospitals. Located on the E.M.Byepass, this hospital offers a wide range of treatment facilities with some of the best doctors in Eastern India. It has been successfully treating covid 19 patients as well and maintaining hygiene. But communication to this hospital during monsoons becomes a challenge as the approach road gets heavily waterlogged. The condition of the roads are also bad.

My stay at Fortis was from 14.9.2021 to 18.9.2021. I had opted for Fortis mainly for.... Ms Doli Biswas , Chief Nursing officer. My salute to her and her young team members..Nibedita, Bala, Nirupa, Jhilik, Mahua for their outstanding dedication towards nursing care. I was really very impressed to see positive attitude of all health care personnel during this pandemic critical period. It was a learning for me as well. My sincere thanks and gratitude to Dr.Dhritiman Maitra and all other members of every department for their support. Excellent care, service and team work. My stay was pleasant...it was like home away from home. My Best wishes to Fortis .

I was very much worried that I have broken a complicated bone in my right wrist. I have got my ORIF surgery done here. And must admit I have recovered really quick the actual recovery period for that particular bone was 6 months, whereas I have recovered in three months. Thankful to the Doctor for ever. Regards.

I have seen this hospital closely twice. And the service they provided is appreciating. Both the times my closed ones came back home healthy and fine. Just one thing I feel which can be improved, is that it's way too costly which sometimes become out of reach for the middle class without an insurance.

Good but bit expensive more than appolo. Many loop hole there . Like junior doctors are more experienced (they think) than a senior doctor. In fact one of the Junior telling he even don’t know seniors. In that department he is in charge. His decision is final.(name not telling). Admission and discharge procedures very slow on cash patient. Hospital is good but don’t go emergency first then u will suffer . Take a prior appointment to a senior on his charge the patient admitted that my suggestion. Thank you

Very cordial patient friendly hospital. Responsive to patient needs and requests. Doctors are angels ever ready to respond. But hospital upkeep needs attention. Covid checks have become slack. Hospital TF operators are very cordial and very helpful. Overall satisfying experience.

I have had a horrible experience here. The management is horrible no one has a clue about anything and would ask the patient party to go here and there to collect information. Right from the billing staff to the icu staff everyone seems to have a very bad attitude. The security staff are very rude and they would just harass patient relatives and would not listen to anything. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone. But the doctors and their assistants are very good and really helpful. I really hope that the management takes care of the bad attitude of the hospital staff to make this place a better place.

It’s great that we are getting Proper treatment from great doctors for our whole family. Specially from the international lounge .. They are helping us even when we are not around the hospital. Two thing i would like to add here that they should make the billing process easier for international patient & sitting management for the patient can be more organised specially when they are waiting for the doctors. Thank you.

Hospital services are good. The staff are courteous as they should be. However, patient's family need to be given counselling so that they are aware of the course of treatment going on and there is no communication or understanding gap. This was lacking due to doctors and hospital staff being super busy. But overall a good experience.

Very unprofessional bunch of people who are more interested in stealing money more than caring for patients. Even to show report the next day after consultation , Fortis charges 700₹ whereas even local clinics have a 7 day grace period. Such a greedy and cheap management . No professionalism whatsoever be it Doctors or staff. No empathy towards patients and just treating them as money minting items. No wonder people of Bengal prefer medical treatment outside state

All is very good. Only in Day care Beds there should be facilities of calling bells in case of dire necessities of the post-surgery patients. Doctors' Team in OT was excellent. They handled the surgery with local anaesthesia with great care and made me feel like at home.

Underwent a surgery here last week. Was pretty much satisfied with all their services. Lots of experienced doctors, plus the nurses and other staff also do their job diligently. The food served to patients was also good. They take a lot of care about cleanliness. Took a photo of the sunrise from the seventh floor private cabin.

I absolutely adore the staff behavior and the hospitality by the people of Fortis. Starting from the reception to the discharge/payment counter and everything in between. The treatment has been excellent till now. My mother had a surgery and the followup was brilliant with the attendants being exceptional. So far, so good.

One of the reputed hospitals in kolkata, a multi speciality hospital with specialist doctors for almost every major department of medicine and surgery. It serves CHGS patients as well, central government health scheme patients come here for treatment in large numbers. The reception area is good but not spacious enough to accommodate outdoor patients. The corporate helpdesk can be made more proactive.

Hospital is good but needs lot of maintenance. You will not get the vibe that you are in Private Hospital. Emergency Area looks worst than a government hospital. I would say sisters and nurses were very helpful very humble and they always come to the patient to check whether everything is fine or not they will come to check at night as well.

We have been visiting this hospital since 2013. Over the course of 10 years my parents were admitted multiple times , apart from a few distinct situations ( like in covid time ) i have always received good treatment and behaviour from all staff. I will put the things i think can be improved at the end of this review. We visit Dr. Amit Haldar, Dr. B.B. Sarkar, Dr. Ronen roy , Dr. Arup Ratan Dutta, Dr. Suvanan Ray, All of them are exceptional doctors no doubt. But i would like to take a moment to thank the non medical staff of the hospital too ! They are super helpful, kind, understanding and compassionate. Doctors are busy as they should be, without the help of non medical staff it would have been difficult to get appointments, and follow up visit slots. I would like to specially mention Saikat Da ( Admin ) and Ravi Da ( Admin ) for their immense help during multiple times that my parents had to be admitted. The nursing staff are equally good and they never hesitate to pass on communication. Apart from the abovementioned, Miss Debarati, Miss Joyee from Ortho OPD have been immensely supportive. Without their understanding and empathy it would have been difficult for my aged parents to go see the doctor for checkups. Ashim da ( Dr. B.B. Sarkar’s assistant ) is gem of a person. I am really thankful to all the staff at this hospital for their generosity. Even the insurance desk staff are extremely friendly. We have visited so many times that i even know the staff at the canteen as well, even they are so good ! Before i forget, i am intensely thankful and grateful for the staff at the emergency room. They are the best. There have been so many ocassions where they have been saviours for us. Even the ambulance service is great, its mostly equipped with all things necessary in case of emergency and the staff who come with the ambulance are knowledgable and helpful. Regarding the distinct situation i mentioned above where i was not happy was in 2022 when my father was tested positive for covid and admitted. The doctor under whom my father was admitted was not known to us and he was unnecessarily increasing the stay by testing him for covid every alternate day. As he was admitted in covid ward, we were not even allowed to visit and there was no way to contact this doctor. Everyone knows even if you recover the test can still show positive for even a few weeks later. I had to bring this up to the patient experience staff, who finally helped us resolve and get discharge. That was the only one time in last 10 years i felt the doctor unnecessarily trying to increase the stay. Things that can be improved :- 1. There is no fixed timeslot provided for OPD visits. For example, if a doctor is available from 10 am- 1 pm, every patient is asked to be at the OPD at 10 am. There is not a lot of space or chairs for all patients and it gets really crowded. Moreover, for elderly patients its difficult to wait for 3 hours. So, if possible then proper timeslots should be provided to each patient to avoid the unnecessary crowd and wait time. 2. The pharmacy somehow seems always short staffed and its a forever queue, so even if they offer 10% discount on medicines on the day of discharge we generally avoid availing it as the wait time can be sometimes more than 40 mins and after waiting for 40 mins they might tell you the medicine is not available. 3. Recently a new policy has been started that if we need to book an appointment for a doctor, a payment link will be sent to registered mobile number, you have to pay within 30 mins using that link, then only the appointment will be confirmed. Now, this can be difficult for elderly patients who are not tech savvy or do not use electronic banking. I live away and my parents dont use smart phone or ebanking, and you do not even allow changing the registered mobile number over phone or email so that i can make it my number and do the payment. There are sure many others like me. I would really request the hospital to revise this policy.

I would have given it minus 5 stars if there was an option...all emergency staffs behaviour were rude. I have never seen such type of behaviour in any hospital... patient's family is already disturbed n they used the opportunity to cheat them. They quickly ran some unnecessary tests on my ailing mother and then they declared that there are no beds vacant. They didn't even bothered to inform us beforehand. They only handed us a bill of 4k bucks for the unnecessary tests they ran. They even successfully trained their security to offer rudest behaviour to the patients & their families. Govt hospitals are better nowadays.

One of the worst hospitals in India. They harrassed us to the extent that my mother in law nearly died. When we approached there they ran some unnecessary tests & then declared that no bed is available. All of the staffs are rude, even the security guards are very much rude. Bathrooms are untidy & unhygienic.
