The food was absolutely awesome, the staff were very friendly, and loved the ambiance where there was no loud music, so we could chat in peace for a long time. Really appreciate the staff who did not disturb us or chase us away after we finished our meal. The staff were also very knowledgeable about the food, how the ingredients are sourced, and what dressing and topping goes well with which dish. We will definitely visit again.

It was my first time here and i absolutely loved it here. I went on the occassion of their New Zealand Lamb Feast menu launch. The Hospitality, Food, Service, everything is soo good. The ambience is also very classy. They even serve Hookah. I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this place.

Nice ambience. Great food with great presentation. Highly recommended. We have tried both fish and chicken main courses and both of them were pretty good. Highly satisfied. Price is bit on the higher side, so if you have any coupon or Zomato Gold membership that would certainly help.

Not worth the hype. Food is pretty average. Decor is good. Service is quick. Has a lot of space inside so it's a good place if you want to have a large table to yourself or if you're planning for social distancing at a shopping mall. We had shakes, a couple of starters and soup. Value for money, not much. Service, good. Ambiance, nothing to write home about. Food, average.

Had really good food after a really long time. The tortelloni was AMAZING. One of the best dishes I've had in a long time. Had a Tiramisu Martini and it was also really nice. The stone grilled chicken was good too. Took a side of peri peri french fries. The food is so nicely presented and the quality is so goood. Cost us about 900 per person(2 people). The staff are good and helpful. It's a really comfortable atmosphere. This is a must visit :)

An amazing place with a lovely decor that provides a cozy vibe. The ambience of the place is good, as well as their swift service. The food was absolutely worth the price. Items we had: 1. Twin Chicken Pizza cilantro flavoured sausages 2. Choco Mudslide with Smirnoff glass 3. 2 Budweiser bottle (since they didn't have Budweiser magnum) If you love reading and spending a quality time in a cafe. I would totally recommend this place. Visiting here soon while returning back to Kolkata. ♡

Go to place for a casual brunch or dinner. Food menu is extensive. The preparations are flawless and the service of the staff is very friendly and helpful. They do not hesitate to help out the customers. The food service is fast. The staff is well versed with the items on the menu. It really is hard to find a fault in this establishment. Whether it's a cup of a coffee or a family dinner. You can enjoy both in Mezzuna.

Had a wonderful time here. The food was amazing. It's rare to find decent food at bars but Cafe Mezzuna is definitely an exception. The grilled skewer prawn was delicious. Only disappointment was the LLIT cocktail which tasted a bit bitter. But movie time martini was perfect

I love the place. Ambience is perfect. Service is really standardised and well maintained. Decor and lights add up to the ambience perfectly. Coming to the food, we ordered : Rich creamy mushroom Pepperoni, smoked mozzarella and arugula, and Grilled Mediterranean vegetables, Pesto Would definitely say I loved all three dishes. The creamy mushroom took my heart away. So thick and perfectly cooked with lots of mushrooms. Absolutely loved it. And definitely one of the best pepperoni pizza I've ever had. Every bite of that pizza is pure happiness. So well made. The crust and the taste of pork is excellent. My experience was amazing and would definitely be come back here. ♥️

I recently dined here with my family, along with my infant daughter for a weekday lunch. I am thoroughly impressed by the service, ambience and the food at this place. I would highly recommend this place who might be interested in trying out Italian cuisine or generally good food. Though the restaurant has high chairs for babies, my daughter was able to sit beside us on the sofa. There were plenty of empty tables and we were able to choose our table. Service was prompt and our server was very courteous. We ordered the prawn chowder from the soup of the day collection, assati of seafood as appetizer, and bacon and ham pizza and a grilled fish with assorted vegetables as our entrees and tiramisu de la casa as the dessert. All the items were absolutely delicious and delectable. The dishes arrived relatively quickly as well. Another helpful point was that I was able to use my US credit card without any hassle. There are several restaurants where I have been unsuccessful in using US credit cards, most probably because the end point-of-sale devices are not configured to use international credit cards and currency conversion.

Gluttony redefined with the Terrific Trio meals at @cafemezzunaindia For a glutton like me, what I do is talk about food the day long. Even if it isn’t lunchtime yet, all I am thinking about what to have for lunch. A sandwich? A slice of pizza? Or a bit of everything. Well if you haven't heard about Asian bento box before, then you might not know what you’re missing out on. What if I tell you, I have news for people who choose to drool over Continental. Well Cafe Mezzuna is all set to deliver your favourite mealboxes - The Terrific Trio. Well, don't worry about the health and hygiene , Mezzuna hustles hard to take care of this. What did I pound on? 1. The Veg platter - This reminded me of Tex Mex cuisine having had good round gooey Mozzarella Cheese Balls with the garlic breads as you dip these into the sweet and tangy Mexican Salsa. This is followed by Asian styled vegetables fricassee which has a hint of sweetness and that stew is soulful with the zucchinis, peppers and broccolis which complemented the lemon chilli rice so well. 2. The Chicken trio - This has the typical Middle Wastern flavours in it. Starting with the dip which is a Parsley Hummus. The earthy flavour gives a kick to Harissa Spiced Chicken amazingly done with chillies with a zest of lemon and garlic. The mains however was the chicken strips cream-cheese done with thyme. Served along with a the garlic bread and a gooey brownie, that my taste buds instantly adopted. 3. The Fish platter - This was rather European fare with the Cajun rubbed fish fillet with a creamy mayo dip that absolutely moulded down the spice level and cajoled me taste buds with am instant gleam. The mains were fish fillets were grilled and tossed in a quintessential lemon butter sauce, once again being accompanied by the aromatic and easy to go herbed pilaf. The fish fillets were grilled to ecstacy and were accompanied by carrots, zucchinis, beans and babycorn. The usual brownie brought the smile back. How to order? These boxes are priced at 395 INR+ tax and can be relentlessly ordered via online food portals like Swiggy and Zomato. Hustle hard and order your Terrific Trio today and thank me later.

Evoke the glutton inside you to tantalize your tastebuds and relish some serious flavour goals savouring Terrific Trio, courtesy Café Mezzuna.! There is something about this place that always clicks. One of the first places to give meaning to establishing world cuisines in Kolkata, I have always liked Café Mezzuna for its fancy food. Fingerlicking starters, tapas styled appetizers to hearty main courses and then finally ending with scrumptious desserts, Café Mezzuna has been my go-to place since long. And when this place boasts of a Terrific Trio, a bento box styled meal platter, to be enjoyed back at the comfort of your home or office, you know you will get the best of flavours, coupled with the strictest of hygiene checks and health standards. The Veg platter had good round sized Mozzarella Cheese Balls, stringy and oozing out with gooey hot cheese, paid these tapas appetizers with the garlic breads as you dip these into the sweet and tangy Mexican Salsa. Slight amount of heat at the back of your tongue, the Asian styled vegetables fricassee balances the heat out with its sweetness and coconut milk flavours. One preparation where the meat or vegetables are first browned, then stewed, and then sautéed with a sauce, this is very much different from the method of preparation of a stew. The sauce was fingerlicking good, and had strong Asian lineages speaking out of it. The crisp zucchinis, the juicy peppers and the crunchy broccolis seem to well absorb the aroma of the coconut leaves, making them pair perfectly with the slight tang, zest and heat from the delectable lemon chilli rice. Soft, rich and decadent chocolate brownie to end your meal, this platter would make you have serious vegetarian vibes, even if you haven’t been a fan of the same yet. Coming to the non-vegetarian combos, the first one had creamy and melt in the mouth Parsley Hummus replacing its sweet and tangy counterpart of the Mexican Salsa. Some serious Middle Eastern vibes, the combination of fresh parsley and rustic chickpeas mixed with the tahini and lemon juice was too good to resist. Next in the box were the grilled sensations of Harissa Spiced Chicken. With a wooden and smoky touch, the addition of the chillies imparted a gentle kick to the chicken, while retaining the softness and delicate texture of the chicken. The meat was soft throughout, something which is usually not the case of grilled chicken as the meat tends to lose out on all its juice. The addition of the lemon imparted the tang, while the garlic boosted the flavours coming from the harissa. For mains, the chicken strips were tossed in a rich and decadent cream-cheese sauce and enhanced by the sprinkling of freshly grounded thyme. Pairing these chicken strips with the herbed pilaf was a moment to remember. A surprising combination of grilled chicken cooked in a cheesy sauce paired with buttered rice. Imagine that! Zero points on what I did to the desserts on the side, the rich and gooey brownie evoked the glutton inside me, hoping to have more during the next fling. I wasn’t that concerned though, as the last non-vegetarian platter was as good as the other two. The usual fling of the garlic breads, this time being accompanied by a creamy mayo dip. Priced at Rs. 395/- + tax for each of these meal boxes, these can be availed through online portals like Swiggy and Zomato. A must try if you are craving serious flavour goals, these will not disappoint your palette or your appetite! #terrifictrio #mealboxes #bentoboxes #combomeals #vegetarian #nonvegetarian #cafemezzuna #swiggy #zomato #whenstomachtickles

There are three things that make a restaurant: Food, ambiance, and service. Mezzuna has all three, leading to a great experience overall. Cocktails were uniformly great, my favourite being the mango jalapeno martini. Our kebab and fish were great and the desert was good too. Durgashankar took good care of us and made useful recommendations.

Love the food here. The good thing is Mezzuna is always consistent with the quality of their food. On weekends and in the evenings, it can get crowded, so book in advance or go early. Their desserts are awesome as well. They also have a wide range of cocktails and offers on certain days, so ask for these.

The perfect cafe, known for its tasty delicacies and decent ambience. We went to the forum mall's outlet. We ordered - 1. Non-veg soup of the day - 5/5 - best thing about this soup is that, they change it every now and then. So everytime you visit here and order it, you'll have a surprise! Tastes delicious with a garlic toast. 2. Smoked chicken thin crust pizza - 5/5 - signature dish of Cafe Mezzuna. Loved every bite of it. 3. Fiery chicken hot wings - 2/5 - something that we enjoyed the least. Overpowering level of sauce, absence of minty ranch/any other cooler dip made it not an ideal accompaniment. 4. Tiramisu - 5/5 - ** contains alcohol. The best way to complete the dinner. Loved it! Pros - ✓ courteous service ✓ soothing ambience ✓ live sports telecast ✓ wide ranging delicacies ✓ not too heavy on pocket Cons - X didn't find any! :) If you're looking for a decent, light bite after watching a movie or so, Cafe Mezzuna is the place to visit!

I have been to Cafe Mezzuna several times in the past, but I was always disappointed. However, my most recent visit was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant has a new chef, who seems to be passionate about his work. The service was warm and welcoming, and the ambience was pleasant. We tried the following dishes: 1. Burrata Bomb: This dish was a standout. The burrata was fresh and creamy, and the accompanying tomatoes and pesto were delicious. 2. Mozzarella, Cherry Tomatoes, Capers, Fresh Rucola, Parmesan Pizza: This pizza was a bit bland. The crust was soft and the toppings were not very flavorful. 3. Insalata Panzanella: This salad was a refreshing change of pace. The bread was crunchy and the tomatoes were juicy. The salad was a bit spicy, but it was not overwhelming. 4. Toffee Cheesecake: This dessert was the perfect way to end our meal. It was rich and decadent. Overall, I had a positive experience at Cafe Mezzuna. The food was good, the service was excellent, and the ambience was pleasant. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good meal.

Rarely I get into a cafe inside a mall. I'm always repelled by the idea that being inside a mall, cafes might be just overly expensive. But this is Kolkata. You always get the unexpected experience here. Mezzuna is definitely one of them. They have refreshed their old food menu entirely and next to it is Oh! Calcutta for competition. But that's another story. Food, Music, Ambience, Service, Value for money would explain Mezzuna in short. The chef's preparation is unbelievably good. People might not appreciate the full extent of it, but some of the ideas that were presented with the Moroccan Lamb are actually refreshing and rather daring. We didn't try the cocktails here, but that was a mistake. You definitely should try it here. There is also a smoking room.

Nice place. The food was amazing and healthy too. Thin crust pizza made out of wheat flour. The cheese used was not the regular one; without hard drinks, the place is pocket-friendly. The drinks cost is high. The interiors were amazing. The different seating arrangement has been used.

A lovely restaurant in Forum Mall, the ambience was great and the staff was not only courteous but also quick. Prompt service and great tasting food are always a plus. One disappointment was that there isn't any restroom and guests must use the mall's common washroom. The music was a tad bit too loud which made speaking slightly difficult. A great experience overall.

After reading the reviews here and zomato, we decided to give this place a try. Indeed the food was excellent, we a group of 7 (2 children), ordered about 8 dishes and all of them was excellent. The only problem that bothered us a lot this evening was the very very loud music. It was so loud like you are in a night club and we could not even speak to each other comfortably. We literally had to shout and talk. We requested several times to the waiter, the manager but they just don't agree to lower the volume. We also saw guests from other tables requesting the same, but they are adamant to continue with the loud music. This I don't understand why. So if you are a family and with children and older people this place is definately a big "No No". We eventually ate what we ordered quickly and went to Starbucks to hang out.

The food is great but one unnecessary thing did happen. I ordered a drink while waiting for my parcel after I had looked at the menu I used the hand sanitiser. Once I was done using it the bartender pointed out there was another sanitiser on the table it made no sense to me. Both are sanitisers. Incase one is for the staff only it should not be kept on the table in the first place. These are weird times it would be better if the staff is more sensitive to the fact that anybody eating out is going to relax as well so the effort should be to not put people off.

One place which I remember going to right from my school days was Cafe Mezzuna. That time they just had one outlet at Forum on Elgin Road. They have always amazed me with their quality and quantity of food that they are serving and the price they are charging. I love the choice of dishes which are on their menu, not an extremely vast one but a perfect one with the blend of European cuisine to satisfy the taste buds of Indians. If you have been to the cafe you would have noticed that none of their dishes taste the same. Each has a unique flavour and that is what I loved! With the pandemic situation they have started this value meal platter which they are delivering to your doorstep. Again, the price, quantity and quality are all equated. I tried the following 3 platters and definitely like I already mentioned, each was different in terms of flavour and spices used. ✓ Grilled fish with lemon butter sauce, cajun spiced fish, grilled vegetables, tartar sauce, garlic bread & brownie - The fish was melt in the mouth and marinated so well that it was full of flavour. The grilled fish had a little bit of mustard used which enhanced the taste, it is one of my most favourite dish from Mezzuna. The cajun spiced fish fillet was just as tasty and I tried it for the first time. I love their concept of adding the garlic bread, a dip and a brownie. The brownie was chocolaty and sort of satisfied my craving for the chocolate fondant they make. ✓ Asian exotic firicassee with lemon chilli rice, jalapeno cheese balls, tomato salsa, garlic bread & brownie - This was the first time I had a veg main, generally the veg is restricted to pasta, pizza, salad & the mushroom cups, which is mind-blowing and my all time favourite. The firicassee is a coconut milk based gravy with asian spices. It was delicious and I loved the consistency of the gravy and the blend of the coconut milk. The jalapeno poppers were very cheesy, a good starter complimented with the tomato salsa. ✓ Thyme garlic chicken with herbed pilaf, harissa spiced chicken, parsley hummus, garlic bread & brownie - The thyme garlic chicken is a fusion of a continental & chinese spices. The reason why I say so is because the gravy is very oriental, however the spices used are more continental. It is perfect to satiate your palate along with the herbed pilaf. The harissa chicken was soft and juicy. Just relished the full platter. All sanitization and hygiene protocols set out by the government is being maintained. If you notice the pictures, each platter has the temperatures recorded of the staff handling the food. You can order on Swiggy and Zomato and the cost for these platters are kept at ₹395+taxes, which is very reasonable. If you have bulk orders they can do direct delivery as well. It's not an exaggeration but the quantity is very good and you will be stuffed eating that one full platter. I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner. Thank you Mr. Ankur Mandal for sending the bag of deliciousness home. Speciality Restaurants Limited always lives upto your standards.

We visit Cafe Mezzuna often and it is one of our favourite place. But Service today was very bad. Music was too loud. Food was ok. The mezzze plater was a total waste of money. It should be called a crakers platter . Overall a bad experience today . Deserts were good.

Ordered chicken wings which were coated with bread crumbs and deep fried and tasted bad, on letting the waiter know that we didnt enjoy the dish we were given a complimentary plate of the other kind of chicken wings that were on the menu which was sweet of him, but unfortunately even the other wings were not good at all. So would definitely not recommend any of the wings on the menu. For our main course we had the pan fried fish with vegetables which was not bad but also not great. We also ordered the morrocon lamb with couscous. The lamb wasnt bad, it was soft, the sauce a tad bitter on the sweeter side which wasnt the problem, the problem was the couscous which wasnt light and fluffy, it should've been fresh light and fluffy to complement the rich sweet lamb sauce. Altogether the dish was just okay. For dessert we ordered the chocolate fondant with vanilla bean ice cream. It was delicious! Theres nothing better than a classic thing done right. Such a treat. Definitely recommend the desserts esp the chocolate fondant. To sum it up Cafe Mezzuna is a nice place to hang out but the food quality and the general cooking of the dishes has deteriorated drastically. I feel their menu needs a fresh revamp and a bit of modernisation as right now it's stuck in a strange stage of a mix of old and new. Keep the desserts, change the rest of the menu is my advice!
