πŸ‘ A good place for Intellectual people . Food is nice n tasty, and ambiance is also good . Though the place lacks space, but it's a good place to hangout with friends or loved ones .. I'll not recommend the Cold coffee with icecream as it was quite normal type in taste . Chicken sandwich was great . People often mention good, cafe, friends, nice, chicken, ambience, price, time, quality, visit,

Entry point - Just beside Shamybazar Metro Gate number 2. A very slender entrance. Ambiance - Vintage but not very spacious. Good place to hang out with a small group Food - We have tried their cappuccino, Fish Orly, and chicken drumsticks. Everything was yum!! Drumsticks was juicy, and Fish was melting in mouth. Very nicely seasoned. Coffee was good as well. They serve a dip of mayo and kasudi, with the drum sticks, which was on another level. Service & staff - Quick service and very polite staff. Overall a very good experience.

Excellent restaurant or cafe. Here you can feel old Indian atmosphere. Also you can get old books to read like a library with food. Food taste is good and price of foods under budget. Please come and enjoy of the ascent of foods.

A very nice and cosy cafe at the heart of Shyambazar. It is situated just beside Gate No. 2 of Shyambazar Metro Station. You would find nice old vibes and cordial staff here. This is one of the oldest cafes in and around North Kolkata! The interior is also decorated with different 'Old Kolkata' pictures! The food is also good. We opted for Fish Orly (served 2 pieces with Mayonnaise) and Chicken Cheese Sicilian with Garlic Bread, which was more than sufficient for 2 people. They also serve regular cold drinks in their glasses! This is a perfect hangout place for a short period of time!

I had been to this place many years ago. Well I always praised about it's food, decor and interior. It was saddening how everything has changed. The place doesn't have the same essence anymore. Although the interior is Same with books in the corners , old models of cameras on the shelf and Mr Satyajit Ray on the walls but the setting has been changed. The quantity and quality has reduced. The yellow bill boxes don't exist anymore. Disappointed on this visit.

Cafe coffee o kobita A perfect cozy place to hang out with friends and couple . The location of the place is satisfying as it is just near Shyam Bazar metro station gate of R.g kar hospital and 5 point crossing. I entered the space it took away all my hesitations. Beautiful and well thought organized decor with perfect blend of western and retro culture. Especially the book racks with varied taste which attracts me the most. The menu was really impressive so do the taste. The portion was adequate for two adults and more. It is a well find place to hang out for a cosy evening. the food is average but the atmosphere is really stimulating.

A really good location for hanging out with friends over a cup of hot beverage and fries. The interior decoration is thought- provoking, however, the place is a bit crammed.

The place is nice with old kolkata pictures and all decorations. They have plenty of books available to read and board games to play. The food is good enough though it felt like a little bit pricey according to the ambience and all but overall it's good.

This place is ideal for all age groups. The food here is perfect and the ambience is quite good. This cafe's theme is unique and nostalgic. I recommend everyone to try the fish items once, they are too good. I literally had 2 more of those items as they were so delicious and mouth watering. The grilled fish is too good and I guarantee that one will not regret after having it. Children can play board games and other puzzle games as they are available. The place is fully air conditioned and seating options are available both in ground floor and on the 1st floor.

It was raining on and off. We quickened our pace as the clouds began to gather in the sky. The first splatter of rain hit us as we approached the five-point crossing of Shyambazar. We hot-footed it to an amazing cafe, called Coffee O Kabita. Ambience: The dining area is on the first floor. We're escorted by a perky steward Abhijit da to the dining room. He told us owner Piyali Biswas has reconstructed this old building into this cafe. Very few cafes in North Kolkata can match up to its ambience. For book lovers, it is a slice of heaven. They have a large collection of super fascinating books. You can read them while munching on delicious food and smooth beverages. Tanaya handpicked Nante Phante Samagra and I went down memory lane with Sonar Kella! Food: In a brace of shakes, Abhijit da served the food. Here is a rundown of our order from head to toe: 1. Coffee O Kabita Special Sandwiches (β‚Ή160) 2. Chicken Drumsticks (β‚Ή170) 3. Virgin Mojito (β‚Ή120) 4. Chicken Lasagne (β‚Ή300) 5. Caramel Custard (β‚Ή160) All prices are exclusive of taxes. Coffee O Kabita Special Sandwiches: The sandwiches were crisp and tasty. They contained soft and juicy chicken breast, pickle, mayo and spicy sauce. They have stepped it up in recent years by adding corn and exotic spices to the mix. Abhijit da didn't divulge what new spices they used, but it tasted too yum. Chicken Drumsticks: Cut from the lower part of the leg, the drumsticks were done to a turn. They came with French fries and mayo dips. You can have it in the starters. It goes well with Virgin Mojito. Virgin Mojito: I have tried this beverage at other cafes as well, but Coffee O Kabita is the best. With the benefits of mint, it is distinctly cooling. Chicken Lasagne: Authentic Italian dishes are hard to find in Kolkata. I was hankering after this dish until I tried their preparation. Layers of pasta were topped with a creamy chicken sauce, tomato sauce, and mozzarella. It is their signature dish and comes at a competitive rate. If you're blown-in, please try this dish. Caramel Custard: It is our new obsession! Sweet, but not overpowering. We were also looking for an apple pie custard but to no avail. Abhijit da has assured us he will provide that next outing. And we assure you of an exhilarating experience. So binge on foodies!

Personally, one of my favorite cafe. The atmosphere of this cafe is extremely beautiful. Suitable for book lovers. Also the food tastes very good and pocket friendly. A great place to spend time alone with yourself or with friends. Sometimes it can take time to get a table due to the crowd. Overall, a place to make the mind feel good, everyone should visit at least once.

I visited this place on October 13, Astami. There was a slight waiting time of around 15 minutes due to the pujo crowd. Coming to the food, we ordered Latte, Chicken drumsticks and chicken and cheese sandwich. All the good items were fresh, tasty and good. No compromise on quality or hygiene due to pujo rush. The waiters were extremely cordial and humble throughout. It was my third visit here. Will surely visit again.

Such a cozy little place to just chill down after a hectic day , nice hanging out spot for friends. The foods are really nice and pocket friendly too. Has good collection of books and a set of jenga too to make your time with friends even more memorable. The decor is tasteful for bengali classics lovers. The place having so many colleges around , is the perfect spot for college peeps to hang out. We had creamy chicken sandwich, pasta with white sauce and cold coffee with icecream, all were quite delightful! The service people were very nice too.

Had visited the cafΓ© in the evening, and had a great time. They are located near the Shyaambazar metro station. The cafΓ© is spread across two floors. The decor and the ambiance was very aesthetic. It has books and posters and a whole wall dedicated to Satyajit Ray. Coming to the food, we had ordered chicken sandwiches, cold coffee and virgin mojito; all of which were very scrumptious. The food is definitely worth the money you pay. Impeccable service, very welcoming. A must if you like cafΓ©s and good food.

Talk about a cool and calm cozy cafe in Shyambazar then this is the place to be. Small and complete with ample sitting and a to be tried menu. A good hangout zone for friends with some well known dishes to be ordered. Tried their Cuppachino, Spl Cheese Sandwich, Fish Finger, Chicken Pasta and croquettes. Food was decent but what you will enjoy here is the ambiance decor and silent atmosphere. For me a good experience.

Hello foodiezzz, As the name suggests, it is all about cafe n KOBITA (Poem). Don't worry you will not get to read poems there unless you bring a book with you. So it is all about the cafe. Let's start then. Ambience: The ambience is something what you really like about this cafe if you are a Bengali. Only Bengalis can relate to this place. Others may find this place a little claustrophobic. It is not that huge one. It is a small yet a well decorated place. You will surely get the vibe of Bengali culture and tradition. Check out my pics. Food: Food was really delicious. Frankly speaking, I didn't expect that. Quantity and quality both are pretty decent. The price is fair as well. Most of the desserts were not available. Staff: The staffs are pretty decent and humble. Besides, being helpful, they gave us a warm welcome. What we had: Veg Sandwitch Cappuccino Chicken White Sauce Pasta Veg Pizza Pics are there. P.S.: Perfect time to visit this place is evening. Follow me on Instagram: awrijit Kindly encourage me by giving a πŸ‘, if this review helps you somewhat. Peace n ❀

Located beside shyambazar metro station, this is only one of the good cafes in North Kolkata.. Satyajit Ray, Sukumar Ray and old newspaper clippings on the wall will bring back old memories of the city.. Very friendly behaviour of the staff, mostly crowded on weekends.. food and beverages were great.. liked the pizza, breakfast platter, hot chocolate and cold coffee.. Only cons is that the interior is small and split into 3 rooms in ground floor as well as 1st floor of a century old building..
