We were missing German Beer after coming to Kolkata .. Found this place which serves Beer Stein . They have lots of choices . We went there at 5 pm .. it was a bit early as we were only people there on a Saturday evening .. The service people gave us some beers to try and we loved their German type and the Watermelon one . We were served in 500 ml . The Beer snacks were surprisingly very tasty and had interesting Indian Twists . WC location is very tricky to find and it’s not great . Overall it’s a place to have a good time for an evening for trying their brewed beer .

I enjoyed the experience but the lady taking my order should have asked me whether I need herb rice or mashed potatoes for the Chicken dish. The food was excellent. Even the ambience was great.

Place was good. Staffs r very good but food is not upto the mark. Still I will give four stars just because they really cooperated with us so nicely . Actually we have taken 5 underprivileged girls for lunch and they really allowed them to explore.

Bakstage as a brand is great but kolkata , salt lake sector bakstage does not shout out loud. It's a decent bar with good service but it's not that.popular with the young crowd of sector 5. Food is decent, cocktails are good, service is great! Very few live concerts so go if you like a quite drink with a pal but not if you are in the mood to party!

A year ago the rating of the place on google was less than 2 and now it has sky rocketed to more than 4 thanks to bots/fake reviews. There is nothing good about this place- firstly the entry is wierd. The ambience is old and shabby, cushions on the seats are torn and chairs are broken. It gives you feeling that there has been no maintenance done for quite a long. We went there on a friday and place was 90% empty. The draught beer that they serve is pathetic, one will start hating beers after this. The one we ordered tasted like Rasana mixed with some cheap beer. Food doesn't have any variety. Same old pizza and platters and pastas. There is zero tatse and some items were so hard that they were not even edible. Clearly we were served food which was stale. Overall this place is not recommended. One start just for the staff working there.

Not so much of good experience. I came there to see stand-up comedy. But this people charged 1500 Rs per person at first, only after entering the pub (yes, we didn't brought anything till now). This is the wallet facility here. And the drinks are totally overpriced. The vibe was good but I'll not recommend this place. Very bad experience.

Decent pub and microbrewery in Salt Lake kolkata...all craft beers and pizza pasta are good and value for money. It's a bit cheaper than so called hi fi pubs in neighborhood. Decent ambience and children also allowed.

Great place for craft beer,they have their own brewery. Ask for the variant before ordering. They have introduced watermelon and red mango flavour in beer. Ig mango is for summer. Don't know if anyone would wanna try it or not .. I like the craft mango beer alot 👍

Food an beer were good but the arrangement for the show was not. They really need to take tips on how to organize an event and how the sitting arrangements should be. I have see more crowd for a karaoke night in Bangalore than an famous Comedian who was performing there. Even the artist was disappointed. Backstage you can really improve a lot.

Wonderful ambience, great food and good drinks. The staff were extremely helpful and always happy to make any alterations we requested. The music is good and it is always a pleasant experience to revisit this place.

Backstage can easily become one of your favourite hangout spots. Located on the arterial road, it is easily accessible. Spread on two floors, it is widely spread. We had ordered oven roasted vegetable pizza, oven baked lasagne, crispy chilli baby corn, and chef's special noodles. All of them were lip-smacking. I personally would recommend lasagne. The cheese layers were smooth and perfect. Sauvignon Blanc and Martini were also ordered. Both great again. We also had brain freezer sheesha. Smooth and long lasting, rich in flavour, the sheesha was just amazing. The staff is courteous and very amiable. The service is quick and well. The ambiance on the ground floor is just amazing. The brewer cylinders, with several decorative artefacts is very catchy, leaving us awestruck. The decor on the first floor, which is actually the real pub, is nothing very fancy, but the Johnnie Walker statue will sure get you!! The evening we visited, Backstage was sporting RJ Praveen, with live music performances. This made my fist experience here unforgettable. What an evening! The DJ is great too and the vibes are just very nice. Backstage is a cool place to be to spend weekend evening or just hanging out with friends. Drinks, food, ambiance everything is great!

Person handling the bookings and services of bakstage banquet is unqualified to handle jobs of this level. He is rude, changes price quotations on whims and has to be reminded of earlier conversations and agreements on every single subsequent discussion

Now a days bar is closed. Beeyaz Hotel served breakfast, lunch over there to their guests.

One of the most popular pubs located in sector 5. Loved the place! It has nice lighting! 21+ Allowed! It's great for a group of friends! The staff is courteous and helpful! Coming to the food, we ordered whiskey and vodka shots, potato wedges and crispy chilly Babycorn! And, guess what? The food was superb! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Backstage at Sec V, Salt Lake is one of the most elegant and uniquely decorated breweries ever visited by me. The decor is chic, modern, enchanting. I tried one of its crafted beer (Wrench Racer[?]) which is surprisingly quite delectable [read savoury] to taste. This brewery will pamper you with its polite, friendly, patient staff, valet parking, indomitable spirit of hospitality and service, with lip smacking foods and foot tapping music. My evening is definitely well spent and made memorable.

Ver bad experience. As a guest I asked them whether I can get coffee paid by myself. The staff said no. So I was sitting then then after 15mins I saw guest sitting and giving orders. Never gonna come here. Very insulting.

Don't go to this place reading reviews. Actually there is no such place in Kolkata. You will end up going to another pub called mechanic which is in ground floor. Because they attend your call and misguide you.

As a Bengali foreigner in Kolkata, I went for a walk in search of breweries, and this was a great find. While the menu or chalkboard didn't promote the beer over the food or cocktails, they served me a sample of the 4 beers on tap to choose - Black Grape, Nitro Stout, Belgian/German (depending on which server you ask), and Watermelon. All were tasty but I opted for the 500 ml 500 rupee Belgian (which they claimed was a German, but the clove notes don't lie!) They served me some complimentary crisps. They had a buy 2 get 1 free deal however I didn't need 1 L of beer. It was very refreshing to find a proper brewery in Kolkata and with 4 beers on tap I don't think any brew head would be disappointed, unless you are a hop head (since all 4 were pretty mild). Nice service, great clean space, recommended as a place to get a pint.

A very good place for drinks and food. They are pricey tough. Also the service is very slow. They should have some more people on the floor. We had buffet there yesterday. The food was great but we could even eat half of whats on the menu because is a on table buffet. They should have a separate buffet section. Some items were not available too... If they do a buffet here regularly with a proper buffet section this place beats bbq nation, ABS, even some 5 star places any day . The food is that good.hope they take this suggestion

Food was good. Ambience excellent and the lady who attended us was polite and very efficient. The soup options were rather limited.

Pro: Beer is good. CON : Service extremely slow.It took 60 mins for the food to arrive and 20mins for the beer to come. Food is just about ok.we had ordered for a chicken dish and it was full of coriander stems which were raw and was tasting very bad.

A bit overpriced. I didn't quite like the chips and salsa either. My mocktail was okay though. Insta worthy place but not much worth my time and money. Good hospitality with vallet parking. The place was 40% occupied on a Friday at 8pm. That says it all.

It was a nice experience. The watermelon beer is extremely good and is highly recommend to anyone looking out for smoother, tastier and not your everyday run of the mill beer. Dont expect this to be a brewery. The beers they sell are more like chillers and nowhere close to what craft beer tastes like. The food was similarly disappointing. Ordered a basket of fries and got served local chips with some tasteless papads and the worst potato wedges I've ever had. Had also ordered pizza, sat there for 2 hours, but the pizza was never served. Guess they forgot because of which we finally asked them to cancel the pizza order towards the end of the horrendous beer I had ordered. Good riddance, maybe? Got saved from more disappointment. Please never visit this scam of a brewery.

Nice place for hangout with friends and take 🍺 and snaks. We ordered 2.5 ltr beer and chicken 2 starter and one fish starter. Our overall bill was 4500 INR . It will cost 1000 per person on average.
