Though this market has a good number of shops, this does not qualify to be called supermarket. There are shops owned by / accredited by Governments of many states of India, selling garments / other clothing items, artefacts manufactured in respective states. Besides, there are other clothing stores and some other stores in the market. There is no elevator. Washrooms are ill maintained. Parking space for shoppers is available inside the market complex. There is no central air-conditioning, though some of the shops have their individual air-conditioning.

The north Kolkata answer to south Kolkata Dakhinapan. Though at one time there were a huge number of government shops but now a major section has closed down. But there are other government shops and Khadi shops selling awesome sarees, clothes, kurta, shirts and other stuff. There is Mrignayani the Madhya Pradesh exclusive store and other government stores from all over the country. I simply love this place, it is my favorite shopping center.

clean shops. not at all crowded. good commodities like sarees, dress materials, handicrafts.Bed covers etc. still some shops are giving 20+10%discount. New arrivals also seen in good number of shops. parking facility in side market. wheelchair can be driven on ground floor. Lift probably not there for 2nd floor. price considerably in expensive mainly due to discount factor.

Plenty of shops for different kind of textiles, specially from Bengal n nearby states. Samabayika is also there n also lots of offices are there in upper stories of the building. Besides the main building there is also another building as extension on its right side. Parking spaces are few. Parking is available in the next DVC building.

Such a enticing place, especially for womenfolks! Very conveniently located. Options at galore. Rich collection from virtually every state of India. Easy to shop.

Excellent collection of sarees. Best stores are located in groud floor. Special mention are Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan state shops. Tantuja too has a good collection. You will also get discounts before puja.

Due to lack of planning this place is loosing his value. It will be a better place for shopping if Government takes initiatives for developing this place.

Closed on Sundays. Mostly outlets of different state Govts.. Discount during Puja, Gandhi Birthday, Dewali etc. Only readymade cloths, dress materials and Sarees. Khadi offers few offbeat products, such as, incense sticks, Honey etc.

A convenient market complex in North Kolkata that caters mainly to the middle class customers. But lack of proper upkeep gives the complex a shabby look. Despite having enough space around, the complex wears a deserted look, unlike other market complexes of the city.

Variety of stores , if you are a khadi lover then it's your place .

Good quality materials, but not arranged

Do not be discouraged by the exterior. It has some great stores with good collection of fabric and the staff in general are helpful and enthusiastic.

Radharani is a great shop for Kurtis, blouse and undergarments. Lots of options. Very good behaviour

Some handloom shops are very costly and some of the things are not available as well.
