Good place with great food and ambience!! We would surely recommend their original jalapeños nachos and italian sizzler with pasta (must try)!!! Do try their garlic bread and virgin mojitos!! Overall good for small bites !! Just one odd thing which was “No Washroom” not even for washing hands!

One of the worst inhumane experience. Standing in queue for 25 mins (which was not a problem, but the condition was). After informing the manager to help with table of 6 as we were there for dinner with a pregnant lady who was full term, it was her birthday and wished to eat at this restaurant. We informed the person about everything in detail and requested him too.. This manager had the audacity to say you will have to follow the queue and wait till your turn comes (waiting for 25/30mins). So just before our turn came there was a waiting od 4 people and table of 6, we asked him again his reply to us was" even if we have 1 person on table of 6 I will give him first I have no exceptions for the concern of yours. When I asked for someone senior to him or a phone number that we can talk to, he said he is the only owner here. We have been visiting this restaurant for years but never asked for favour. We did not ask him to vacate the table but as a general practice if one of the table which got vacant could have been given to us as an exception. Everyone will understand such a situation for sure. Worst behaviour by the manager and the restaurant For 6 people we were given a table of 4 and the one before us, 4 people were given table of 6. What a great management #worstever #jalapenos

Loved the Italian food here.. Family garlic bread and pasta are too ooo good.. Must have it.. Although I am not a huge fan of pastas but I genuinely loved it here. I also had cheese fondue, aglio oglio and risotto but nothing can beat pasta and garlic bread here.. A word of advise don't ever order sizzlers.. It just tooooooo bad..

We got served a pizza with a ready made base that most people would not even prefer to have at home. The pizza was tasteless. Pasta was served within 3 minutes of ordering which made us doubt, was it really made for our order? The service and ambience was good. A bill exceeding 1000 rupees for sub standard food is not something I wish to experience again. The quality has gone downhill, it's now in my blacklist.

Only Veg place, but still me and my family members are the regulars here which itself shows how wonderful this place must be 😁 It's newly done pastel and chic interior oozes out class and so does the food. Be it sizzlers or their signature dish The Garlic Bread....only con is that they don't serve any hot beverages as without a hot cup of coffee it's difficult for me to enjoy my food but I still love coming back here. Expensive place but worth it.

It's a vegetarian restaurant. The family garlic bread, aglio e olio pasta & brownie with ice cream were good, hated their cream of mushroom soup. The cream & spinach ravioli was decent too. The Mexican sizzler was okayish. They need to improve the menu and the food.

One word: Legendary! Jalapeno Kolkata has been churning out quality Italian dishes for ages now. There's no dearth of the deliciousness being served here day in and day out. A rather small restaurant, but can comfortably sit a good 50 pax. The interiors are not so welcoming but they're doing some changes to it when I was here the last time. Dishes which are a must try: Family Garlic Bread - Very cheesy and garlicky. Comes sliced inside an aluminium foil. Supreme Nachos - Good ol' Nachos with veggie toppings and cheese, served with Tomato Salsa, Cheese Dip and one I believe was a curry of sorts. Excellent choice. This time I tried the Mexican Sizzler. It was fantastic. By mistake they sent the Italian sizzler, but were kind enough to change the same without much deliberation. Ravioli in Butter and Garlic. There was a mountain of garlic over this. Never have I ever seen so much garlic being loaded onto a dish. The taste was Lip smacking with paneer and spinach fillings. Apart from the dishes, the mocktails are classic too. You can keep having as many as you want. Do try the soups here, they're delicious. There's no washroom here and it is wheelchair friendly.

One of the best place to have Italian. The best part of this place is its absolutely Vegetarian. The service is quick. Food is really good. You can hog onto supreme nachos, family garlic bread , mushroom soup, Mexican sizzler, Mexican rice with spicy cury, and many more. Whatever you choose will most probably turn out good, it's very rare when you wouldn't like anything here.

All time favourite place… family garlic bread is the best.. tried their Mexican sizzler was amazing!! Must visit for anyone & everyone!! They don’t serve alcohol!!

Update: After having garlic bread here my wife and I have food poisoning now. Very bad and pathetic. Used to be such a good place but the quality has gone down. They don’t even have a washroom while they charge exorbitantly high prices for the food. Pastas are as expensive as a high end Italian restaurant. Have been a regular customer here before but never going back again. Go to ZA right infront of the restaurant, it’s much better.

This is a place where we've been going since 2013. Food is supposed to be great. They've recently renovated the place and added ambience which is good. We did a 16-member booking here for a birthday party. We went there personally to make tuff booking and talk about details. When we reach there on the day, they don't seem to find our booking and there is no large table left available for us! And they're refusing to join the rest of the table :( but somehow we manage to get the show running. After that, service is extremely slow, it takes long time for the items to come. We had already predecided and ordered everything at once, so there was no delay in that. It was like a mini chaos in the place. My guests had to wait a lot and in the end lots of things got leftover due to planning issues. Last edit: within 6 hrs of this meal, now my son has severe stomach upset and vomiting. Food was also not good.

A decent vegetarian place to have food with your friends and family. The food is really light and well balanced. I really enjoyed the variety in the menu. From middle Eastern to Italian to Asian, it's all there. We had ordered 4 main dishes. Namely, Pita falafel Sandwich, Mexican sizzler, pad Thai noodles with Thai curry and Spaghetti Aglio olio. All of them were spot on with their flavours. Really enjoyed them. For dessert we ordered the sizzling hot chocolate brownie, which had the usual taste. As we went on a Sunday night, the place was packed and we had to wait for 30 mins to get our seats. And yes, the place is really small. Probably can just fit 50-60 people at a time. Decor is okayish, nothing fancy. Do try it once, atleast. You'll definitely enjoy the food.

Had visited with my Family. It was very bad experience. Used to visit a lot 5 years back and had visited after a long time with the expectation that the food will be good. Ordered a Pizza, Khaosuey and Mexican Sizzler. The pizza was pathetic. Also the service was very poor quality. The waiter was looking sleepy and if not interested in taking order. Khaosuey was good but wasn't served properly. Mexican Sizzler was decent. Won't recommend.

One of the best places for vegetarians for Italian or mexican. Favorite since 2008.. mushroom cream soup or family garlic bread, overloaded cheese nachos or cheese fondue.. heaven for cheese lovers. Though the prices are on higher end, the portions are good and do justice to the price.

i love this place. it's my go-to. We've been celebrating every birthday here since 5 years now. The wait staff is very kind, and amazing when it comes to suggestions and service. I would make this restaurant my home if i could. Die for the garlic bread x.

Ambience was okay and was my first time visit. It turned out to be the last. The supreme nachos was the only thing good. Cold coffee was like sugar syrup. Sizzler was no were close to sizzler. Pasta was like I have ordered white sauce with cheese and to dig and find pasta.

The place is located a bit interior in the building and is not evidently clear. In rains, it can easily get water clogged. We ordered baked mexican rice and Roesti in Herb Sauce. The items seemed pricey but was well cooked. Mexican rice had a thin layer of potato underneath the cheese topping which gave it a nice crunch. Roesti was also well prepared. It could feel a bit bland for many. Overall their service was really slow (both for order and even getting a check) and they do not have a restroom. Hence, I give them a 3/5.

Had a bad experience , they asked me to wait for an hour when i reached the cafe at 12 pm , their page on maps shows their opening time is 11 am . Wasted my time going to that cafe . Atleast have the patience to change your timings then focus on your restaurant.

Although food is good but dissatisfied with tuti fruity icecream as preparation was only with vanilla and no strawberry flavour.👎 Also surprised to come across an unique of this kind of a restaurant with no handswash and toilet facilities. 👎👎👎👎 The owner must look into this.👆👆👆👆👆.

Superb Italian dishes. Cheese fondue and fa.ily garlic bread is super yummy. To my surprise, it is a vegetarian place.

Main drawback is no washroom available, even no basis to wash hands, even they wont serve u the finger bowl. Staffs are too slow. I gave it a three stars as food was good except cheese corn ball. So one time visit thats it.

This place serves Mexican food for people who hate actual Mexican food. Perfect place for eating anything as long as it's just cheese. Loved the ginger ale though. For the love of god, don't order their burrito.

The food is so so good, I can't believe how good this is! I wish I could take this restaurant back home with me. We had the pesto sandwich and the Italian sizzler. The Italian sizzler especially was quite unforgettable.

I absolutely love the sizzling brownie! I was craving it today, so I searched for it near me and found Jalapenos. A must try! The fruit sangria is also quite good.

The food is great. They have good Italian options and the food is done really good. Service is also quite fast. I was there for lunch on a Saturday and didn't face any problem with the service. They also have parking spot right outside the restaurant which is really a add on considering the location. Food is really good.
