Absolutely loved the whole experience here. The service was impeccable. The food was fresh and tasted amazing. We had a 20-25 minute wait-time due to the Sunday night rush, but it was worth the wait. Also, one of the servers overhead that it was my father's birthday, so they arranged for a cake and celebrated along with us, which was lovely. Thank you, Oh Calcutta! team for making our evening super special. ❤️

Located at Forum Mall, 10/3, Elgin Rd, Sreepally, Bhowanipore, Kolkata, West Bengal 700020, Oh! Calcutta is a restuarant for authentic Bengali cuisine in Kolkata. After tasting success in Mumbai, the restaurant went ahead to make its presence felt in the form of 9 outlets across 5 other cities like Kolkata, New Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad and Bangalore. The ambience and staff behaviour are on the higher side. Many do find the place more than expensive but then if you are looking for authentic Bengali recipies, look no further. Gondhoraj bhetki, daab chingri are their signature dishes. Try their Gondhoraj bhapa murgi, Murshidabadi murgi, Rajbarir chanar kofta, Grand trunk chicken, Chingri malai curry, Ilish and Bhetki preparations and finally Nolen Gurer ice cream.

What a day it was! Being Bengali Jamai Babu, I knew that people in Bengal go crazy on Dashmi day but this crazy? I tried for a reservation here, but this service was revoked and so was their ala carte system ..lol We reached here at 2 PM and it was 40 min waiting time which turned into 1 hr. finally got the table at 3 PM. They have a set menu (buffet) for the day and it consists of almost every item that a normal Bengali can desire (except biryani, wonder why they did not include biryani on the menu) Starters- -------------------- Chingri cutlet: I liked it most, crunchy, and filled with “fillers” :P Tandoori Ghee roast chicken: it was cold, not sure why they did not keep a small burner underneath the containers.. – 2.5/5 ( had it been served hot, the taste would have been different) Dimer Devil: good, nothing to mention… 3/5 Main course- ----------------------------- Cholar daal Kosha Alu Dum Narkol Phoolkopi Jhalfrezi Kacha lonka Murgi Mangsher Jhol Fish Fry Pabda Shorshay bata Chingri Mala curry I did not go for veg items, but all the nonveg items were good. Preparation, taste, service – all good. Dessert items also have Kheer, Payesh, Kalakand, Misti Doi, etc… Ambiance: it’s really good. Outsiders like me can feel the Bengali vibe here. On a normal day, one can enjoy the ambiance while having a meal. Today, everyone was in a rush to get mutton pieces as soon it was filled out..hahaha Service: though it was crowded, they maintained their service level Price 1399/PP Overall: Definitely recommended.. 4/5

Totally bengali theme based restaurant with good quality food and services. Specially recommend for family lunch or dinner. Food prices are high but quality and taste are so good. You can also take buffet in price of 1025/- per person. Well decorated a restaurant with Bengali old culture. Here you can also get liquor but in High price.

Oh! Calcutta, located in Forum Mall is a must visit place to have a taste of authentic Bengali Cuisine. Though a little pricey, this fine-dining place has an enormous menu, including a bar section and a classic ambience. Their service is also amazing. It remains closed after 4 pm and opens again at 7 pm. Will definitely visit again.

As the season of hilsa comes, Oh! Calcutta is celebrating hilsa festival at their fullest. They have started serving delicious and unique hilsa delicacies. They have launced a thali too. The thali comprises of jhuri aloo bhaja, begun bhaja, illish bhaja, illish beguner jhol, bhaja moonger daal, luchi, aloor dom, steamed rice, tomato khejurer chutney, malpua with rabri, chaler payesh. This thali costs 1495/-. Other than this they have introduced aam tel illish, fish (illish) finger, mocha illish and posto narkol illish. Genuinely I loved each and every dish. Every item was mouth watering. Especially the aam tel illish was very unique in preparation as well as in taste. I recommend everyone to try their illish dishes during this festival. ❤

A great place to enjoy Bengali cuisines for non Bengalis (and even Bengalis). Food was great. We went for a buffet and had a good time. The taste of certain items on the menu were great and some had a standard taste, but none had a non-commendable taste. Polao was good and went really well mutton. Biryani was standard. But the kebabs for the appetizers were really juicy. No wonder they were emptying out fast. You can also order something off the menu as well at an additional charge, like we ordered kochuri specifically for the mutton. The place was not very crowded so a bit of laughter and chit chat made the ambience very social and inclusive.

It was great. We tried my first time bengali buffet 😋 here. I love the fish fry and the dessert 🍨 🥧. The main course is little bit more ghee. I don't recommend the buffet prawn. The ice-cream was awesome 👍 👌. If you want to try the bengali food 😋 this place is perfect for you. You must try the salmon fish fry, this is the best way to start you buffet.

Whenever we talk about bengali cuisine, what can be better than oh Calcutta . Recently, visited their Forum outlet! The interior was beautiful with pictures of legendary Bengali figures hanging on the wall. Some amazing books from the Bengali literature kept on the shelf. The Chandeliers looked as if from a purely authentic Bengali 'bonedi' bari. The ambiance truly connects to the Bengali culture, definitely the food is extremely sumptuous and something that would be a comfort food for a true Bengali. So, Oh! Calcutta will have a special Buffet for their lunch which would be from 14th Nov to 16th Nov. It'll have Amuse bouche, starters, main course both veg and non veg, bhajas, staples, accompaniments and desserts at only 1166/- + 5% GST. It'll be a sorted Bhuri Bhoj for the season. We had Fish fry, Mochar Chop and bhuttar Cutlet for the starters. Koraoshutir Kochuri, Koraishuti Aloor dom, Bori diye Palong Ghonto, Bashonti pulav, Steamed rice, Chingri Malaikari, Pabda Shorshey Bata, kacha Lonka murgi and Kochi Pathar jhol. For the desserts, we had Mihidana, Pantua and Kancha Gola. The food was amazing and sumptuous everything was cooked to perfection to satisfy the Bengali Babu inside you. The hospitality was amazing. The serving of the food the cooking and all the interactions between the workers and the consumers was properly maintained following all the social distancing norms. The best item has to be the Kochi pathar jhol which is definitely the best mutton that I have ever tasted from any Bengali cuisine. Whenever it's Bengali cuisines, nothing can ever beat Oh! Calcutta to that. Pay a visit over here and definitely fall in love with the place, it's Ambience and its food.

Oh! Calcutta has always exceeded our expectation in every way. Great food along with top notch service. During this pandemic, they are taking extra care of the hygiene factors to provide us a safe ambience to dine-in and enjoy their offerings. Authentic bengali cuisine with varied spread of items. You must try Gondhoraj Bhetki for starters and Calcutta Mutton Biryani & Mutton Kosha in main. Prices are upscale. They add 10% service charge apart from the GSTs. Service is a class apart. Very well behaved staff.

I literally wait for the "Hilsa Festival" every year to dig in for the tastiest fish preparations at Oh! Calcutta. And trust me, they just keep up with their quality and hospitality, year after year. Never a time the Hilsa festival spirits goes unnoticed, thanks to their warmth and values of serving delightful food without compromising on anything. Pan India level, Oh Calcutta has a bright spot and this year when they decided to run the Hilsa Festival, i ended up visiting their Forum Mall Restaurant at Kolkata. On coming here, majorly not much has changed in the menu maintaining their traditional recipes apart from a few but the concept of adding HILSA MEAL BOX now for the delivery customers is something very interesting to get at home. Now as we know the dining scenes around has slowly started growing, there are a lot of people who would still prefer to eat at home and this Meal Box is thoughtfully put together as a treat indeed. For the Price of 2850/-* plus taxes you are going to enjoy Ilish Paturi 2 pieces, Ilish Begunirer Jhol 2 Pieces, Doi Murgi, Aloo Phoolkopir Dalna, Bhaja Moonger Daal, Aloo Bhaja, Steamed Rice, Tomato Khejur er chutney, Chaler Payesh and Malpua 2 pieces. As per my understanding 2 to 3 people can easily relish this meal box. And if you are looking to dine in then dishes like Mochar Ilish, Ilish Fish Fingers, Sorshe Diye Ilish Jhol, Posto Narkol Ilish, Mochar Ilish, Smoked Hilsa, Aam Tel Ilish and many more will absolutely win your heart. Go ahead and feast on 💯

Went for the Elish festival, ordered smoked hilsa, bhetki fish fry, bhetki paturi, mutton kosha accompanied by luchi, polao and finished with malpua , nolen gurer ice creame. Smoked hilsa was impressive, it was boneless and was served with veggies & french fries on the sides. Other items were nice too, but quantity is not great given the exhorbitant price they charge. Paid approx 4k for the mentioned food.

Oh! Calcutta It is this magical quality that has not only made the Bengali community ever nostalgic about the city but never fails to tug at the heartstrings of those who make it their home. And home it has been to whoever came in search of their fortune to the city, be it the Armenians, the the British, the French, the Portuguese, the Nawab of Lucknow, all leading to the blending of beautiful flavours, of the varied cuisines, marrying one dish into the other to create a new fusion. It goes without saying that one can enjoy the most sumptuous bite of history and heritage, only at Oh! Calcutta. The challenge of Oh! Calcutta's cuisine was to recreate the lost taste of the 300 year old recipes of traditional dishes. Our master chefs researched and unearthed those authentic recipes from the dusty shelves of libraries to unlocking grandmother's secret recipe diary. Since then, Oh! Calcutta has been one of the most talked about traditional fine dine restaurants, with its first outlet in Mumbai. After tasting success in Mumbai, the restaurant went ahead to make its presence felt in the form of 8 outlets across 5 other cities like Kolkata, New Delhi, Hyderabad and Bangalore. Where there is good food with a dash of history, there will be Oh! Calcutta.

I tried Gondharaj Fish (Bhetkti), Mango Ginger Chicken Tikka, Maccher Chaap in starter and Grand trunk chicken, Bhetki Paturi and Dal Makhani in main course. All the items were super delicious. One can taste the authentic Bengali food here however the portion is very small. The ambience is also good.

What an experience! After a long time an almost perfect experience. But before sharing in detail one point which disappointed. I had originally planned to visit to have their non Vegetarian thali for lunch.Arrived there around quarter past 1 but was told that Thali was not possible at that time, either have to wait half an hour 45 min or can get the thali item in regular plate, the reason they gave that they have limited number of Thali set and all are engaged with a large group of guests. They were all including the manager was were sorry for that.So I skipped the plan for Thali and went ahead with A La Carte menu and didn’t disappointed with the food .Now let’s get back to review. Location: Situated inside Forum mall at Elgin road, easy to access, also around 10 min walk from Netaji Bhawan metro. Ambience: Perfect ambience with pleasant lighting and comfortable sitting arrangements, not congested. Service: Everyone from server to manager were too courteous, specially manager Mr Amit,he was too sorry for not able to serve the Thali. During the meal they were too attentive and asking about food or any new requirements that I had to request them to let me concentrate on food, will certainly call them if anything required or wrong. Food: Now comes to main part,I ordered Mutton Kosha,Bhetki Paturi with Govindobhog bhog rice. They serves papad,Raita and savory tomato chutney complementary.Among all Bhetki paturi was perfect,Bhetki fish marinated in coriander based marination and steamed in banana leaf. Mutton Kosh was good too and went well with steamed rice, the rice was full of fragrance. Ended the meal with Nolen Gurer IceCream which was a perfect way to end the feast. For few price may be on little higher side but as per my experience it’s justified, its value for money with the ambience, service and food quality they are providing. Overall a certainly a recommended place and will certainly visit again, this time for Thali.

Fine dining at Oh! Calcutta has since long been in my bucket list. I visited the restaurant with my parents and had a wonderful Bengali meal. Each and every item barring one or two tasted excellent. All the staff are courteous and well-behaved and cares that you return home with a quality experience. While the price is definitely on the costlier side, it is still a must visit place in Kolkata for some good Bangali food. Below are the items we had- Drinks- 1. Aam porar shorbot -3.5/5 2. Odbhut ( a combination of lychee and gondhoraj flavour) - 5/5 Starters 1. Calcutta Fish Fry -5/5 ( must-have) 2. Bhetki Gondhoraj -5/5 3. Murshidabadi Murgi -3.5/5 Main Course and Side Dishes 1. Plain rice 2. Chingri Morich Pulao -4/5 3. Daab Chingri - 4.5/5 4. Kachalonka Chicken - 3.5/5 5. Classic Railway Mutton Curry -5/5 ( This was 'The' item for me. Chef's kiss literally) Desserts 1. Nolen gurer ice-cream (4.5/5) 2. Malpoa with rabri (4.5/5) Highly highly recommend it for anyone visiting the place. Coming to the bill, it came to a total of Rs 6794 including the tax. We were a family of 4 and reordered some of the items like the fish fry and the gondhoraj vetki. To give you a fair idea, it would cost anywhere between 2k to 2.5 k to have a decent meal for two peope.

Oh! Calcutta is situated at the 4th floor of Forum mall, Elgin road. It is a bengali restaurant with pure 'Bangaliana'. The ambiance is superb with peaceful bengali old music. You can feel there the calmness. It is the place where you can get the authentic bengali foods in your buffet from dal vate-alu vate to mutton. Last Sunday I had my lunch there with a menu like: Vaat vaja. Steamed Rice with ghee. Alu vate. Dal vate. Kumro bhate. Doi sosha. Murshidabadi Murgi. Pata bata fulkopir torkari. Kucho Chingrir Bora. Dumurer ghonto. Mouri diye Kachkolar Kofta. Piyazkoli Chingri. Doi murgi. Niramish Mangsher Jhol. Kheer Komola. Awesome hand-licking menus with great taste. You can go there with your friends, family or any special one. Love the place.

Not recommend buffet though The A-La-Carte menu was versatile though. Love to try different menu sometime later. Obviously the presentation of those food very nice. Overall good except buffet.

Oh Calcutta has always been one of my favourite Bengali Cuisine restaurant. The food quality and service is excellent. And now they have come up with a new buffet menu where you get a chance to relish the forgotten recipes of Bengal cuisine. My love for Bengali food is eternal and when I get to taste those recipes of our ganny's kitchen which has long been abolished from our's, it's a cherry on top of the cake. The buffet consists of quite a few no of items having prawns, chicken, mutton, crabs and what not. My favourite picks from the four starters are Murshidabadi Murgi and Chaanar Devil. They have 12 items for main course and some more for staples. Almost all the dishes tasted delightful, especially the Niramish Mangsher Jhol and Doi Murgi. For dessert they had winter specials like Gokul Pithe , Patishapta & Kheer Komola. This buffet offers us a chance to enjoy a meal which is sure to remind us of the authenticity and diversity of Bengali Cuisine.

Well, this is my second time in Oh! Calcutta. Last time i went to the spring club outlet. And this is the second time i am here at forum Mall outlet. I went there for a lunch with my Friends. The ambiance at Oh!Calcutta represents bengali culture in it's true form. The muted lights along with the soft music and wooden interiors finished with a touch of off white colour in the walls, gives the perfect vibe for a fine dine experience. You have to try this lavish and lovely spread from Oh Calcutta that comes at just INR 695, for one person. Lets come to the food, Few of the dish from the menu are... Non-veg Starters : 1.Chanar Koraishuti Chop 2.Fish Fry 3.Murshidabadi Chicken Main Course:- 4.Chingri Malaikari 5.Kacha Lonka Murgi 6.Alu Phulkopi Motorshuti Dalna 7.Moong Daal 8.Alu Bhaja 9.Luchi and Steamed Rice Relishes: 10.Tomato Chutney & Papad Desserts: 11.Payesh and Malpua Add ons: Mangsher Jhol (125 Rs 2 pcs) Bhetki Paturi (125 Rs 2 pcs) There are veg options too. The strong flavours nicely marinated inside out of the fish did magic to my taste buds. Talking about my experience here i must admit it was actually very good. Starting from the service to the food indulgence and overall hospitality, was simply classic.Everything was balanced and mouth watering. All the end thank you so much for a lovely hospitality.

Oh! Calcutta is premium brand serving typical Bengali cuisine along with a touch of fusion across top cities in the country. I visited recently and tried out items from their ongoing River Water Fish Festival Menu. Items tried •Topshe Macher Cutlet (Strongly Recommended) This particular item for me was the Showstopper! An absolute must must try if you are visiting! Despite it being a fried item, it had no oil on it. •Aar Macher (Catfish) Chilli Fish (Strongly recommended) This too was unique & lip-smacking. Who would have thought that you could have Aar mach in such a form! •Bhetki Macher Orly This too was good. But since this is readily available at most places so it sort of took a back seat. •Rice, Dal & Jhuri Aloo Bhaja •Rosun Bhapa Hamour Mach (Recommended) Though I couldn't figure out which fish it was (only to blame my lack of knowledge regarding fish) but this too tasted good. It had a sort of a pickle-y taste & the flavours of garlic was a bit overpowering. So, if you like garlic like me then you will definitely like it. •Sorshe Bata Boroli Mach (Strongly Recommended) I had previously had this fish just once during my visit to North Bengal. This is a typical North Bengal fish & can hardly be found in Kolkata so firstly kudos to the management for sourcing the fish in Kolkata. The fish is sweet in taste & was a match made in heaven in the sorshe bata gravy! Note : This fish has a bit more bones than other. •Notun Gurer Sandesh Puff (Recommended) This was a one of a kind item. Perfect ending to this sumptuous bong fishy meal! Lastly, I would say is that each fish was very fresh (which was quite evident from the colour & taste) & the fish festival menu is definitely worth the price!

The buffet was overpriced for me.. The mutton was overcooked and the chingri malaikari was too sweet for me. The doi chicken was okayish. The only good thing here was the starter which had betki based fish fry instead of the basa ones swrved elsewhere. Thats it.

Tried Oh! Calcutta for authentic Bengali cuisine. And it turned out to be amazing! The staff is so welcoming, polite and gives wonderful food selection advice. Very astonishing thing was their food menu. The way they have mentioned food item prices. They have mentioned the item price in words just below the menu item, which I have personally seen for the first time. The smoked Hilsa was finger licking good. Even biryani tasted well. Their mocktails drinks have good presentation as well as the taste. Their gur ice cream was suggested by the staff Nirpen, and it was very delicious & very different in taste. Would recommend it as a must try item. Also, they use environment friendly rice straws♥️ Would love to pay you visit again♥️

Aside from decent tasty food, the turn around time was really fast. Food was not disappointing, but at the same time nothing out of the ordinary given the exorbitant amount of money one would spend here. The service was really good, we received useful recommendations on food options and our additional needs were met.

The staffs were very helpful and we'll behaved. The quality and preparations of foods which we ordered were so amazing and unique. Such a tasty lunch we had. We were also served fresh coconut mint drink as a complimentary and trust me it was lovely. Thank you Oh! Calcutta😍

We tried buffet and a few a-la-carte items. Food was really tasty and the afternoons were less crowded. Enjoyed the visit. We were greeted with “aamporar sharbot” on arrival and every single item on the menu was really tasty. Loved the aam sandesh and specially the mini fish fry!

Oh! Calcutta offers a unique experience in Bengali cuisines. Most of the dishes are lip-smacking and excellent in taste. We went a group of 4 friends and enjoyed dinner. Only thing few items are overpriced as compared to the portion size. Must try items are Bhetki Gondhoraj and Bhetki Macher Dom. What we had: 1. Bhetki Gondhoraj 2. Matal Chingri 3. Bhetki Macher Dom 4. Kosha Mangsho 5. Daab Chingri 6. Kaju Kismis Pulao 7. Steamed Basmati Rice

Few Days Back we were at Oh! Calcutta, Forum Mall Branch, one of the best restaurant to visit to satisfy your Bangali Tummy. They recently introduced a special menu - Forgotten Flavours of Bengal, which is just fatafati. We had a beautiful buffet there, loved everything, my personal favourite was Dumurer Ghonto, Amudi Macher Jhal, Pyazkoli Chingri. Overall, highly recommended, visit soon, if possible before 20th, to taste these awesome dishes.

This fine-dining Bengali restaurant is all glam and proper, with it's semi-corporate yet deeply warm and lustrous corners. A sense of old-school royalty is sure to take you over as you visit this place for a hearty meal. Talking about meals, Oh Calcutta has the perfect combination of lipsmacking Bengali dishes, wrapped in a single buffet menu for one person that costs you 695 bucks. This combo buffet is surely for a limited time but if you want to get a taste of perfection, this is what you're looking for. The dishes on this thrilling menu is as follows: Non-veg Starters 🔹Chanar Koraishuti Chop - Definitely a wonder of an experimental dish, is sure to click with Bengali folks. 🔹Fish Fry- Crispy and Warm, with just the right tenderness. 🔹Murshidabadi Chicken - If kebabs had a Bengali version, this would be it!! A plate full of these delectable starters is sure to get you excited for the meal ahead. Mains: 🔹Chingri Malaikari 🔹Kacha Lonka Murgi 🔹Alu Phulkopi Motorshuti Dalna 🔹Moong Daal 🔹Alu Bhaja 🔹Luchi and Steamed Rice Without a doubt, the Chingri Malaikari took my heart away. The comfort of this dish is beyond comparison. I strongly suggest having the Chicken with Luchi, and save the rice to go with your Prawn Malaikari. Relishes: 🔹Tomato Chutney & Papad Desserts: 🔹Payesh and Malpua Add ons: 🔹Mangsher Jhol (125 Rs 2 pcs) 🔹Bhetki Paturi (125 Rs 2 pcs) With all that said, I wish you a great meal at Oh Calcutta! All sanitisation standards are being followed and health hazards are not a worry here. Take your loved ones over for a hearty meal. 😊

Went to try their new year buffet, costing 1224/- which seemed to me solely extravagant according to variety & taste of foods. Only mutton, fish fry, & choco tart were sumptuous. Otherwise, they are serving cauliflower in starter! Who does serve cauliflower as starters? Sweet curd seemed me sour curd when i told it to manager he served us complimentary Nalen gur flavoured ice cream. Flavourful Pickles which were mentioned in the menu, were not served, instead they kept in that place papaya chutney, rasun pickle, chilli pickle! Tomato chutney was horrible in taste! Rasgulla seemed to bring from cheap sweet shops, too much sponge. Even chocolate ice cream wasn't good enough! It's not worth to spend so much money for such a buffet!

Just loved the food and the ambiance. Staffs were highly trained and very nice.We started with Dhakai Bhetki Bhapa and Fish fry , which simply turned on the mood for craving towards more food. We tried mutton Kassa with radha ballabhi, which though a little unorthodox , in today's calorie concious age, were mouth watering. Our anniversary celebration ended with nolen gurer ice cream, which is definitely going to bring me back once more.

If you have a knack for a bit of sweetness in your main course dish go for the pulaw & kosha mangso combo of theirs.

I really like the ambience, the food, the courteous staff. Everything is so nice here. But they don't offer complimentary dessert or something if you are going for a celebration. All restaurants of this class offer a pastry or something like this. Otherwise, everything about Oh! Calcutta is awesome

On 3rd January 2021. Oh CALCUTTA Offer Special Non veg Buffet with Huge Menu. But after Visit we saw lots of food missing Which they offer in Menu. Too much price for this hilarious Menu. Except 6- 7 item all foods are Tasteless, those are Sour Yogurt , Fish, Aloo-Dam, Crab, Rashgolla, Chicken Breast, Chingri Malaikari, Mutton Liver etc. Some Good foods are small fish fry, Polao, mutton curry, Sweet Tart, Ice cream, kochuri, luchi. OH CALCUTTA Serve Cauliflower's paturi in starter & they show us Nalengoor Ice-cream but we get extra Coco mixed choclate ice cream. YOUTUBER make them famous, I don't know they get money from them or not. Bad experience for me & my sister.

Last Sunday, visited one of my favourite bengali restaurants in the City of Joy to try out their Special Weekend Lunch om the concept of : "Rediscover The Lost Recipes of Bengal" at a special price of 996 INR Exclusive of taxes. The restaurant is based on the Bengali theme and is currently offering a stellar deal. The buffet consists of Bengali Cuisine. My Favourite Picks : Bhapa Phoolkopir Paturi, Channar Devil, Niramish Mangsher Jhol, Doi Murgi, Kheer Komola, Lyangcha.

Oh! Calcutta has always exceeded our expectations in every way. During this pandemic, they are taking extra care of the hygiene and providing you a safe ambience to dine-in and enjoy your meal. Authentic Bengali cuisine with varied spread of dishes. Must try items: Gonghoraj Bhetki, Calcutta Mutton Biryani, Mutton Kosha.

Service wasn't good. We added a couple of instructions for the food but despite 'noting' them, they didn't implement. They also got a couple of orders wrong and the waiter seemed quite snobbish. Coming to food, dal was the only good dish out of the 6-7 that we ordered. If you're not a native, you should know that they add sugar in everything - roti, dal, vegetables. This was particularly bad as my father has diebetes. This was something we mentioned while ordering and yet weren't informed. Cost is steep, not worth it.

Awesome experience. Authentic Bengali food with an awesome ambience. We took a limited buffet meal that served two of us and its almost the best Bengali meal ever I have taken... A point higher in quality and taste compared to Bhojuri Manna... Loved the food .. Only thing is its bit costly if u take individual meals but worth trying once a while..

Visited this place to have their new menu and totally loved that. We opted for the buffet. They had fair share of both veg and non veg foods. Nevertheless everything was very tasty. The ambience of the restaurant is quite homely and it makes you feel cozy. Of all the food my personal favorite was murshidaabadi murgi, channar devil, amudi macher jhal, piyazkoli chingri, dumurer ghonto. They also had crab in their menu which was also devine. Looking forward to visit again with my family.

Oh! Calcutta presents River water fish festival in this festive season which started from 9th Feb and will be continued upto 28th Feb . ➡️ The menu comprises of different types of fishes ( Hamour, katla, Parshe, Chingri, Pabda etc). Coming to the food that we tasted there from the festival menu are :- ✔️Sole macher kobiraji :- Classic bengali egg coated fish fry. ✔️Lal lonkar Katla Bhaja :- Pan grilled katla fish, marinated with onion, Red Chillies, garlic and lemon juice. ✔️Bhetki macher orly :- English style batter fried fish. ✔️Aar macher chilli fish :- Aar Fish Cooked in soy, chilli, and onion. ✔️Rosun Bhapa hamour mach :- Steamed boneless hamour fish cooked with garlic and aromatic spices. ✔️Tangra macher jhal :- Tangra fish simmered in spicy tomato broth. ✔️sorshe bata boroli :- Boroli fish cooked in mustard and green chili. ✔️chitol macher muitha :- Boneless chitol fish dumpling cooked in royal kalia gravy. ✔️Aam kasundi parshe :- parshe fish cooked in sweet and tart sauce made from bengali mango mustard. 🔸The food was fantastic and served hot. Each and every dish was delicious and made with authentic and fresh fish. Really impressed with their service and hospitality. Apart from their regular buffets, this will be also available. A fantastic place for lunch or dinner, with your friends and families. They are following all sorts of safety and hygiene measurements inside the restaurant.

Ordered chingri malaikari and kaju kishmish pulao combo through swiggy. The malaikari was one of the bests that I have tasted ever. Two pieces of chingri were provided.the pulao was amazing as well. Not extremely rich with masala and oil but rich with flavours.price is on the higher side depending upon the quantity. But the quality beats it.

Excellent food all around. I'm just going to list some of the best dishes we tried: Mochar Chop; Chingri Cutlet; Murshidabadi Murghi Fry; Aam Ada Grilled Bhetki and Kasundi Fish Tikka. Not to forget the very delicious Calcutta Mary cocktail!

Had gone there a week before Mahalaya when the ilish festival was going on. Excellent fish -my mom, who is an ilish connoisseur and not very easy to please in matters of the fish, like most Bengalis, mentioned while eating. She had the ilish thali - the thali was very good and was reasonably priced. The thali included dal, aloo bhaja, two pieces of ilish, ilish bhajar tel, rice, gurer payesh and malpua. The pholkopir dalna (cauliflower-potato curry) with luchis (puris) was also very good.

Oh Calcutta is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Bengali cuisine. Nestled in the heart of the city, this restaurant offers a true taste of Bengal in every dish. The menu at Oh Calcutta is a delightful reflection of the rich culinary heritage of Bengal. From the moment I took my first bite, I could tell that the chefs take immense pride in preparing each dish. The flavors were rich, vibrant, and brought back memories of home-cooked meals. I had the pleasure of trying some of their signature Bengali dishes, such as the Hilsa Fish Curry and the Shorshe Ilish. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the accompanying spices and sauces added a burst of authentic Bengali flavors. The selection of vegetarian options was equally impressive, with dishes like Aloo Posto and Cholar Dal showcasing the diversity of Bengali cuisine. While my experience at Oh Calcutta was overall excellent, there is room for improvement in terms of the ambiance and seating arrangements. The restaurant can get a bit crowded during peak hours, and the seating can feel a bit cramped. However, this did not detract from the delightful culinary experience. In summary, Oh Calcutta is a must-visit for anyone seeking a taste of Bengal. The restaurant offers an authentic culinary journey through the flavors of the region, with attentive service and a warm ambiance. Whether you're a Bengali cuisine enthusiast or simply curious to explore new flavors, Oh Calcutta is a worthy choice for a satisfying meal.

Oh! Calcutta is one of the most worst Bengali restuarant I had last night. For Poila Boishak eve, we went there for Dinner. I would say service was top notch. When it comes to buffet is too over priced compared to other Bengali restuarant in the city. They don't have much varieties like 6 Ballygung Place , Saptapadi, the funniest part is with ₹1400 you won't get any welcome drink. Now the whole restuarant doesn't have that much cooling system to make people comfortable in this hot summer. Now coming to the food part, each and every item was just below average. Even you can get a better food in any sector 5 shack. Only the chats and starters including fish fry, chicken tikka, mocher chop along with Shorshe Narkel Chingri was good. I was surprised that even the aloor dum wasn't cooked well, the potato was not boiled properly, the whole recipe was really bad to eat. The Koraishutir Kochuri, although green in colour but no presence of any Koraishutir inside. Choler dam ,Doi Katla, Chicken, Kachkoler Kofta, Chitol Macher Muthiya was pathetic to eat at all. Chitol Macher Muthiya was so bad that we just throw it. Now coming to desert part, sweets were very okay type. The misti doi wasn't fresh and smelt bad. Kher kodom, they break into two halves for cost cutting. Overall don't visit this place at all, don't go with the brand. Even the small piece hotel serves better than this. Full waste of money, bad food.
