This small South Indian restaurant serves healthy dishes at affordable prices. Located just opposite to the national library, it is one of those restaurants, which will happily serve you your order even inside your car. There is no sitting arrangement inside this restaurant, so you have no other option but to stand and consume your food. The price is a tad on the higher side, but the food quality compensates for the high price. 👍

Located in Alipore at a very strategic location is the biggest advantage of this cafe. Just beside HP petrol pump and opposite to National Library and very close to Alipore Zoo. South Indian foods like Dosa and its different varieties, Idli are reasonably fine, though I must say that, the masala inside the Dosa needs to be improved and enriched. Even the hot coffee in this cafe is also good but don't order any shakes. They are not good in that, hence, to be avoided unless they improve the taste and mixing. Also, the behaviour of the cafe staff is good as well. Overall, I will say, a OK type place to be at and can go with family as well while fuelling your vehicle...!!!

Very nice place to have quick south indian dosas idly and pizza. I ordered the masala dosa costing and a glass of watermelon juice total cost 210. They also serve to your car like a drive through. Seems to be very famous and is the only good food shop in that area. Taste wise it's superb and will surely visit again.

I visited this food junction today i.e. 27 august 2023. It's sunday, so as a holiday this cafe was not busy like weekdays. However I reached there by two wheeler. I parked my bike imside HP petrol pump adjacent to this cafe. I ordered vegetable masala dhosa (without onion) and cold coffee (with icecream). As this is located on busy alipore road it's crowded all time on weekdays. If you come by your car there is always parking option for you. Nice place delicious food plenty environment. So do not think twice to visit this cafe while you're on alipore road.

Food quality below average. Extremely over priced in compared to quality / hygiene / quantity / hospitality. Poor in all aspects. Cleanliness is also poor. 1 small cup amul butter scotch ice-cream costs 70/-. 1 below average quality normal masala dosa costs 120/-.... The only reason behind the high price is that it is Located in very rich non bengali community area... Not recommended at all.

Tasty but costly. It would be better if they provide sitting dine in. Foods are very tasty especially sambar Vada and masala Vada. Mysore dosa is avarage. Very costly. Because of lack of sitting option avarage ambiance and costly it's not worth.

A beautiful walk-around destination near Alopore Zoological Park (Zoo) or National Library or CU Alipore Campus. It's a small sized descent caffe that offers variety of snacks and dishes, specially South Indian. I tried the two most common South Indian dishes.. Dosha and Idli. Both of them were delicious and well-served. I liked their stand-and-eat arrangement. Of course there were seats though. Prices could have been a bit lower. However, a good place to visit and eat in. Want a surprise? Order for a Family Dosa. 😌

The best dosas in Kolkata is served here at Garden cafe. You can either stand and eat at their outlet next to the petrol pump in Alipore road or park your car nearby and someone from the restaurant will come to get your order and serve you in the car. Their staff is very kind and polite. Best buy, best experience!

I have eaten umpteenth number of times here and loved it each time. Delicious South Indian food and extraordinary staff. Price is moderately high, very little space to stand and eat but the taste can beat the best. My favourite vegetarian joint anyday. Just go for it!

We ordered mixed cheese pizza one word great. Not so great services and sanitization. Cold coffee w/o ice cream could've been better. Dosa lacked masala a little. Uttapam and vada were good. Servers were a little ignorant though.

It's one of the best place to snack a south Indian item. Crisp crisp Dosa , soft idly., uthapam. ... too good. !... But but but.......... A few chairs or benches could be helpful. Elderly people or children are in deep need.

Even though it's a pure vegetarian place, the place is always crowded. The credit goes to the taste and quality of the food served and the service. They serve mainly South Indian food dosai, Idlis, vadas and uttapams but their freshly baked pizzas is something you should try. My personal favourite is cheese onion pizza. They serve it with usual tomato sauce, green chutney and kasundi alongwith oregana and chilly flakes. Additionally there is this uncle sitting outside of it with matka kulfi available in three flavours made with fresh fruit flavour is. The cheeku one is a must try. It will end your meal with sweet and fruity note.

In order of excellence, one must try rava onion dosa. Never had any one better than this. Fried idli was a treat for the pallette. Cheese lovers would enjoy the freshness of the cheese dosa. Medhu vada was good too, and the other dosas can be tried as per personal liking. As a dosa lover, I have dined in various South Indian restaurants across the country. Many offer excellent food, but I usually get heartburn and acidity later on. But dining at this place was different indeed. No doubt that they use high quality ingredients and have a good hygiene level. You stomach will tell.

I had ordered Plain Dosa, Masala uttpam and idli-sambhar vada combo. Dosa was average, uttapam was fully burnt and was served after half an hour and vada was tasteless. It even had less salt. I have visited this cafe several times and its standard keeps on deteriorating on very next visit. Very dissapointed by the food and service.

It is a very nice place to have a quick snack ,it specialises in vegetarian snacks like dosas,idlis,uttapam,dahi vada etc,you can have ice cream and a lited variety of mixed mocktail type drinks and regular soft drinks."Cottons" ice cream soda is available here which is a must have.Prices are also quite reasonable considering the quality of food served which is very good.Even though there are big stand fans the place can be quite hot during the summer months.Also if you are tired and need a place to rest your legs while having a snack this is not the place for you as there are no chairs ,only stand in tables.However each and every place has its pros and cons and for Garden Cafe the biggest attraction is its food which is of the highest quality.The staff is also quite cooporative and courteous and prices are reasonable...what else can a person want.That's all folks,thanks for reading and don't forget to have Cottons Ice Cream Soda when you visit Garden Cafe....

Also had a cold coffee shake - was pretty satisfying to gulp it down after those hot dosas.Clean & Hygienic place. Not much to complain, except that you'll need to eat while standing. If you're lucky, you'll get your hands on one of those 3 stools they have. PS: They accept only Cash / Card.
