This branch of Arsalan situated beside the Town School, Hatibagan. Ambience is great. The price of both chicken and mutton biryani is Rs.320/-, a little bit overpriced. However The stuffs are well behaved. If you're searching for the best Biryani in kolkata, Arsalan is the right place!

One of the best places for style biriyani in Calcutta. It is situated in hatibagan. Shyambazar metro station is near to it. Beautiful ambience, neat & clean environment, food quality & quantity is up to the mark, well maintained, polite and co-operative staff and properly sanitized. We have ordered the following: 1. Mutton Biriyani 2. Lahori Chicken 3. Salad The biriyani was toothsome as you can expect from here. The Lahori chicken was a delight to taste buds. Overall it was a good experience. So for authentic biriyani, I must recommend its name to all of you.

If you want to taste authentic Kolkata Biriyani at Hatibagan area then it is a perfect destination for you. Situated exactly beside of Town School this branch of Arsalan is a hidden gem of that area. With a great ambience and unique varieties of foods, this place offer you a good qualities of dishes. We tried their authentic Biriyani along with green salad and Phirni as a dessert items. The behaviour of staffs were too good and polite. Apart from that you can try their Kabab items and Chicken gravy items with Parathas. If you are visiting Hatibagan area, so please don't miss this place.

Nice place for a small or large group. Though we were a group of 10 and had to split into 2 tables. The food was excellent as always, light and ambience was very satisfactory. But the AC was absolutely not able to cool the entire place. With around 35 degrees outside one would at least want a decently cool atmosphere in a eating area specially when it comes to such a renowned restaurant chain in Kolkata.

Nice ambience and food. Waiters are very humble. The Biryani was good but not over the world. But the Chicken Reshmi Butter Masala preparation with the Butter Tandoori Roti was just lip smacking. Pleasant experience in one word.

Me and my girlfriend had previously tried the Mutton Lucknowi Biriyani and I would rate that 5/5 , so this time we tried something different. We ordered Hariyali Kabab, Afgani Pulao and Mutton Malai Curry (sorry don't remember the name properly) . The kabab was really good. It came with lacha Salad, onion salad and green chutney as compliments. It tasted spicey and tangy and was well garnished when served. 🍱 Rating : 4.5/5 Next was Afgani Pulao, and trust me, it's the only pulao that can give you diabetes. It's was very sweet with small cubes if pineapples and paneer in it. One should order this as dessert (yes it was that sweet). Only thing good about it was the quantity we got. Priced at β‚Ή195, it was enough for 2 person. 🍱Rating : 1.5/5 Lastly, the Mutton Malai Curry. As the name involves "malai", a foodie can easily understand that its going to be sweet in nature. And it was the right amount of sweet as well. The mutton pieces were well cooked and the curry was creamy. It would go best with some Indian bread like naan or tandoori roti. All in all, mutton malai curry (the name was a bit different but i don't remember it) is wholesome and tastes good. 🍱Rating : 4/5 The restaurant service was good and they were always available. All together, it was a good experience.

Calcutta or Kolkata biryani evolved from the Lucknow style . Arsalan biriyani is good enough ( in hot serving ) . The price of the biriyani mutton and chicken are both same (Rs/_300) . Chicken Tandoori is also good price Rs/_425 (full 4pc). It is located in SHYAMBAZAR ( town school stoppage , Hatibagan ) .

God created Kolkata and then became bored with the hazards people traffics and many more. He wanted to create something so that people in earth can feel a bit of heaven. And this is how Arsalan was made. Dive deeper into the flavour of mutton biriani, surely you will feel the heaven.

It was one of the worst experience. I had heard that this place was famous for its briyani. I've read online too about it's infamous briyani. Me and a friend of mine went there for lunch. We were offered a table for two which was directly under the AC vent. Both me and my friend was feeling chill as the temperature was set at 18 degree celcius. I understand the fact that other customers needed the AC so we requested for a change of seat for 4 times atleast. But we were denied even though there were many seats that were empty. So when that request wasn't fulfilled we asked to increase the temperature. Again after asking for 3 times the staff listened to us. Now talking about the food we had ordered Arsalan chicken kebab, 1 chicken biriyani and 1 mutton biriyani. The kebab was very creamy and delicious but coming to the briyani since we were directly placed under the AC the food became cold very soon, we couldn't enjoy the food properly. The chicken biriyani was still fine but the mutton biriyani was worst. Both me and my friend couldn't eat the food. Since we didn't wanted to waste it we packed it. I would never suggest anyone to go here. The staff behaviour was horrible.

Today I decided to have lunch from arsalan (hatibagan). We ordered tandoori chicken, chicken reshmi kabab, mutton biriyani , chicken chaap and firni and two mocktails pink Lady and black scorpion. This was the best mocktails I've ever had. I usually don't like mocktails but their waiter Partha suggested us to have them said they'll be great. As he said this was amazing, complementing the food perfectly. Highly recommended. Pink Lady has slight minty touch. Those who don't like mint flavor try the other one (I don't like mint flavor). Reshmi kabab was good though could have been bit juicer. Tandoori chicken was awesome. Pieces of both starter was pretty good. No words for biriyani. Brilliant as always. My favorite biriyani place. Chicken chaap was tasty also. In fact by far the best i ever had. So today I get two best things at once. Pretty lucky day for me. Give it a try with biriyani. You guys gonna love it for sure. Firni was also very tasty. Staff behavior was exceptional. Our orders were taken care by Mr. Partha and he was exceptionally good man. He helped us a lot with several things. Ambiance was good. Ps- no pic for biriyani chaap and firni cause I was lost in the heaven.

I visited this place during Durga Puja festival. To my surprise they have maintained a pretty good balance towards serving food, managing customers.everybody knows how much crowd people face during these 5 days, but they tried to do their best, although there was a shortage of employees i felt.taste wise it is as usual nice. But i guess bit overpriced . Ambience is good.inside there you may face network issues if you are using Vodafone.

Visited Arsalan Hatibagan for Dinner. Location is convenient, 2 minutes walk from main road Bidhan Sarani. Road in front of me the restaurant is not very wide, four wheeler parking is difficult, no valet parking available. However parking available for two wheelers. Took away Chicken Biriyani & Boneless Chicken masala. Service is very poor, it took more than 15 minutes to deliver. The delivery team was busy with App order delivery( Zomato). The items were hot & nicely packed. Biryani rice quantity sufficient for one person, Chicken piece is good, Potato piece too big. Taste is average like any unnamed roadside local Biryani shop not any Arsalan speciality; not worth @ 333 + tax. The Boneless Chicken masala was comparatively better prepared. Overall disappointed by the delivery quality & taste, against the price paid & wait time for delivery.

The food was good. It dies live upto the hype. The quantity was okay. The atmosphere was nice too, but would suggest to choose a bettrr playlist. Most people won't enjoy sad songs while enjoying their food with family and friends. It was good. The service was okay-ish. We were two people and we only ordered one chicken biriyani so they kept coming back asking if we wanna order another plate or something else. Now this, I would have considered really nice if they hadn't done it five times. It was a little annoying. Other than that everything was fine. Didn't have to wait long for the food. There was not much crowd either. Recently revisited again and had a better experience. We ordered mutton kasha and Naan. Both tasted good. The service was the same and had to keep calling them. But this time the food didn't disappoint. So I would suggest taking the other items rather than biriyani here.

Arsalan is Arsalan. Service was slow(35 mins to be precise) considering it was pre-puja time. Waiting time was too long (45-50 mins). We ordered Mutton Biriyani, Garlic Naan and Kadhai Mutton along with Salad and Cold drinks. Mutton was full of Fat, the portion of meat was less in Biriyani. Same goes for kadhai mutton where out of 3 pcs, 1.5 pcs were only fat. Again, may be because of rush hour, they served anything that comes handy. Overall, the taste was good so we ignored all the above and enjoyed the food.

Good food. The Arsalan special assorted kebab platter was the highlight. Compared to the main branch in park circus, it was a lot quieter, which I liked. The ambience was good as well the behaviour of the staff.

Amazing place to have a quality biryani, their Biryani is so good and comes with a potato and a soft piece of meat, also you can order mocktails. Phirni. Kababs and Deserts like ice cream Kulfi etc. The Ambience was so good and chilling you can go with your family and friends to have a quality supper. This place is located near by Bazar Kolkata hatibagan. You can easily go from hatibagan market but on Sundays and Saturdays the restaurant will be a bit busy rather on other days.

I went to Arsalan in 2017 that wasn't a good experience to be honest. Biryani was ok ok and the chicken was like dipped in ilaichi and so dry. I went today, we had biryani. It was so perfect in taste. We ordered chicken biryani and mutton biryani. They don't provide egg with mutton biryani (my dad said it could be because they don't lay eggs XD) and butter chicken. Butter chicken's gravy was good but I like Delhi's butter chicken orange gravy more! Biryani was extremely tasty (Kolkata biryani ofcourse!). Ambience is beautiful as always. Staffs' behaviour was polite and good. They also provide lemon and water for washing hands as a traditional Bengali tradition! It's beside Town School in Hatibagan. Buses- 78/1, 234/1, 240 Nearest metro- Shyambazar (Gate no. 1)

Had a horrible experience in Arsalan Hatibagan. The biriyani wasn't even close to Arsalan's usual level. The mutton was super hard and the potato uncooked. The mutton pasinda was decent. Unprofessional stuffs who don't care about the customers. They even ask and literally insist you for tips even after this kind of unprofessional service.

The restaurant is on the 1st floor and the ground floor is only for take away. They have stairs as well as lift to reach the 1st floor. Service is great, they are always there to assist you and serve the food as well. Well decorated with air conditioner. β– Coming to the food, i ordered chicken biryani first they served the Biryani, which had a ded insect in it. They obviously changed the order. β– Their biryani tastes amazing, the potato is soft, and it has a lot of flavor, the meat is juicy and succulent. The quality and quantity of the food are amazing, but they should take care of the food they are serving

We tried Mutton Biryani (Most selling item).. It’s ok.. Not as much tasty as we thought.. It’s dry, meet not well seasoned, less spices used, overpriced if you compare with the quality (364 indian rupee for one plate).. At least they can add 2 pcs of cucumber & 1 pcs on onion or little bit of raita with that price. * Quantity was good.. ( 1pcs mutton & potato with lots of basmati rice) * Not too much cooking oil was used.
