Came in for Lunch on 23rd July 2021 around 4pm. It was not very full. Ambiance: Nothing as such, a simple non-AC eatery. Ordered: Paper Butter Sada Dosa Mixed Cheese Uttapam Dosa(7/10): Pretty good in terms of quality. Could have used a little more butter, they put the dosa on a freshly washed, wet plate, which made parts of the dosa, Soggy. A decent buy for the price. Uttapam (2/10): Completely bland, needed more salt, but it had no salt, making it pretty tasteless. The amount of cheese they put on it, it's not at all worth getting the cheese variant. Get a normal one if you want to eat a bland uttapam. Service(4/10): Pretty poor. There is only 1 man on the floor handling the cleaning, serving food and condiments, taking orders, billing, etc. It's tough to get his attention, even if you need more Sambhar or Coconut chutney, it'll he tough to find him. But at times, he will come himself and serve you without having to ask. Condiments: Sambhar was okay-ish, but looks yellow. Coconut chutney was great

I had a disappointing experience at the South Indian Restaurant. The food arrived cold and undercooked, especially the paratha which lacked its expected deliciousness. The staff's attitude was subpar, lacking both welcoming body language and a service-oriented mindset. Even the owner or cashier seemed disengaged and uninterested in ensuring customer satisfaction.

One of the old restaurants. In 1980 when I was working at Gurusaday office I used to come regularly for lunch. I remember that time it was only Rs.7/= for lunch. Time changed but they are keeping all varieties of food at a reasonable rate. Parking the Car is the only problem that I am facing now. After 43 years yesterday we had a good lunch yesterday (29/07/23).

Not at all nice. If you're really from Kerala, stay away from this place. Tea costs 20 rupees, and it tastes like waste water. Better to drink the 5 rupee bengali cha, much much better. Vada costs 25 rupees per piece and tastes like dough. Masala dosa was average. You can get better masala dosa from the bangali restaurants itself.

A restaurant that serves really good South Indian food at pocket friendly prices. They are situated behind Our Lady Queen of the Missions school in the vicinity of Quest Mall. There is usually parking available for bikes on the pavement but if you drive a car then look for parking near the Park Circus market in the lane towards the school. The restaurant is usually crowded in the afternoons when the school gives over and the office crowd from area and also regulars. They have a 38 seater space and it is clean. The kitchen is functionally clean and tidy and the food is always prepared fresh. They also sell laddoos, kulkuls and banana chips at very reasonable prices. Recently they have added a Kwality freezer and stocks ice-cream too! Their Fruit salad is a favorite among the young regulars while filtered coffee is preferred by the matured crowd. The owners are really nice people, friendly and happy. The staffs in this restaurant have been working for ages, in fact I remember all of them since 1980's. The quality is good is awesome and hygiene checks in place. Do visit. I give it my full recommendation.
