A hidden gem if one may call it. With very limited seating and the looks of a basic street side fast food joint, this place in fact will serve you with the most delectable pork dishes one may find. The other regular chinese dishes are also good

All students of Universities at College Street, Kolkata, Gunjan should be a go-to place for the people who love Chinese and moreover for its affordability. It is a very small eating house with very minimal decoration and sitting arrangements but the food here is always freshly made. I mostly order Rice noodles here and sometimes I order the gravy related foods to mix with. Then again, no one can ever disagree with the good taste of the best thing called Wonton ❀️‍πŸ”₯❀️‍πŸ”₯

As a student of Universities at College Street, Kolkata, Gunjan should be a go-to place for the people who love Chinese and moreover for its affordability. It is a very small eating house with very minimal decoration and sitting arrangements but the food here is always freshly made. Generally I go there when I'm very hungry and I need something fast. And due to that my hands don't go for the camera to click pictures, rather it just digs into the food. I mostly order Rice noodles here and sometimes I order the gravy related foods to mix with. The food is good. We ordered Mixed fried rice, garlic chicken and garlic pork as sides. The food seemed fresh but not particularly to my liking because I like spicy chinese but this was a bit on the sweeter side:(( It is a pocket friendly restaurant though.

It is really great and pocket friendly place, specially for students. Owner Michael da(Indo-Chinese) is a genius cook, now he sits in cash. Take a small coke from outside then you can have Pork or mixed gravy noodles. (Half and full options are avail as per your pocket and stomach). If you feel unwell due to cough and cold, try their soups as per owner uncle's suggestion. It's healing! You can also try lemon fish, crispy chicken or dry chilli chicken. But Pork side dishes( roasted chilly pork/manchurian pork) are depends on ur luck, sometimes they r really great sometimes it is ok , maybe mood on the cook. But gravy noodles or fried rice/rice noodles will not disappoint you. You can also try dry garlic pork from nearby rinky chinese food(almost opposite of Gunjan/Ramakanta Mistiri lane). I used to take percel of Pork gravy noodles from Gunjan and Dry Garlic pork/hot garlic pork from Rinky , and sit with a small coke in college square in afternoon! You feel Rs 200 sorted! I can recall when my first client get good response in his webpage from my content, he offers me the same menu of Gunjan as bonus. It was small but first achvmnt. If you want ac/wifi/interior/comfort arrangement then this is not a place for you. Place for only pocket friendly food lovers. In pics Special hakka noodles, devil pork(spicy), dry chilli pork, and Special gravy noodles

Very good quality pocket friendly Chinese food. Both takeaway and dine-in options are there, but not a lot of space for dine in .

This is old Chinese eatery. It is very small in size. Hardly 7 to 8 people can sit at once. The food was good. Roasted chilli pork was delicious. The sweet n spicy chicken wings was below average. Old eateries like this is known for their quantity of food they serve. We ordered Special Hakka Noodles. The quantity was very less. We thought ordering 1 plate can satisfy the appetite of 2 people but we were wrong. This place is hyped up for no reason. We get better chinese food than this place at many old chinese restaurants. Pork dishes were good but apart from that everything was average.

The fried rice and sweet and sour pork was okay, the roast chill pork gravy was very tasty. The quantity might seem less but it is what you get in a small eatery, this is not a big restaurant so don't go with all those expectations. Also we had special Cantonese Gravy Chow, it was the tastiest.. as the gravy chow is supposed to be eaten hot, so I munched down on it and later realised I didn't click a picture🀣. Order Cantonese Gravy Chow and Roasted chill pork, you'll love it

Loved the food of here. Very tiny place with the sitting capacity of 10-12 people. This place serves authentic chinese food at a very reasonable cost. Their menu is wide and has a lot of variety in it. They only accept cash. The service is quite quick as well. I had Cantonese mixed gravy noodles which costed 120/- for half of the portion. They serve every item in two portions- full and half. The noodles was yummy, hot and fresh and loaded with vegetables, prawns and chicken chunks. Absolutely loved it and it surely worth the money!

A small age old shop nestled in sides of bustling Surya Sen Street. Over the ages, price may have increased, quantity may have decreased, but they haven't compromised on their quality. Chilli pork and mixed fried rice is a must try in this place

The quality of food considering the price is exceptional, the only negative about this place is the place is quite small.

Had my first visit back in 2014. Since then I've visited Gunjan many times. Cozy place, nice ambience amd decorations. Red dim lights add extra beauty to the food. Quality has dropped compared to previous taste. Only problem is that the place is very small. Good for take-away. You may have to wait to get a place to sit. Good to go.

Very affordable, good food. A nice chineese place in college street for a quick brunch. Carry cash, as they only accept cash payments.

It used to be one of our favourite locations for good chinese food.. went there recently after a long time.. the quality has deteriorated a lot.. The pork was totally dry, hard to chew.. Broke my heart as I used to love this place since childhood.. Hope they'll look into it & try to make things better

One of the finest example of 'Old is gold'. If you're in a hurry and want to munch some delicious pork items on a really reasonable price, this is the place you need to go. Located in the college street market. Sitting arrangement is not that great but as that is a really old restaurant, and the price there is quite cheap, you cannot expect anything but really good indo-chinese food.

Went there today, absolutely had no option in college Street, absolutely starving so can't walk any where else, ordered chicken wanton, chicken garlic rice, chicken Manchurian. Nit special at all, i think in home you will get better taste and so don't waste your money. Nothing special. Price could have been lil less, but seriously can improve the tastes of the food. I am adding photos as well. Final verdict: Not Recommend At all. Thank you for reading my review, till next time take care and eat healthy.

Budget eating option for a quick Chinese bite. Food is not top notch but overall a good deal considering the price. Place is quite small and cannot handle a gathering of more than 8-10 people max. So plan your visit accordingly. I would not recommend to try their Spring Chicken. Items that can be tried are their mixed noodles and chilli pork.

Apart from Tangra and Poddar Court, there are a few Indo-Chinese restaurants present across the city offering outstanding delicacies. Gunjan is one of those eateries located at Surya Sen Road near College Street. The Pork Wonton Soup is very enjoyable prepared with adequate Pok Choy. One of their special dishes is Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings which is tenderised very well.

Good atmosphere with authentic Chinese food. If you wanted to have Chinese & you are near sealdah just go gunjan. For the price i would say the quantity is little low but "quality over quantity".

All time favourite place if I decide to have Chinese food. You'll get authentic Chinese food at a pocket pinch price. Whenever I want to celebrate any occassion with my loved one I visit this cozy place. This is a hidden gem at college street area. In the pictures I have posted here, this is the quantity they give at half plate. Now you can understand why I am praising them so much. Thank you Gunjan to make our occassions special.

Located in Surya sen street opposite of Manchow. Its a old place but the shop is very small and the accommodation capacity is also very less. The food is quite good and one plate is enough for almost 2 people. It has a wide variety of menu. One must try the pork items here
