👍👍 The food was extremely good and the service was excellent. Mr Shambo provided the best of service and also suggested some dishes. Kibbe was unique and the Rose Petal icecream was out of the world. We went for our Anniversary dinner and they provided a complementary celebration cake. People often mention good, Souk, experience, Mediterranean, cream, visit, cuisine, restaurant, great,

Best Lebanese food in India! Guaranteed! But it come at a price - and it is heavy.. well but then the best food has to be expensive so i cannot complain.. However, the Halloumi portion is extremely small for ₹1k+tax.. Massive menu with lots and lots of veg options as well.. the assorted breads / pita is unparalleled and a must try! The garlic paste (toum) is also very nice and fresh..

I happen to try all desserts here! Trust me that’s it’s the best! Had the B’stilla au lait, Baklava and rose ice cream B’stilla au lait : Simply out of this world dessert! The crispy and thin warqa pastry and the saffron milk engulfing the same is just superb! Must have!! Rose ice cream : It’s was superb as well! The flavour and the texture were really nice! Even though I’m not a fan of rose, this ice cream made me fall in love with it! Baklava : This was tasty as well but quite rich and heavy for my liking! Shoutout to Anshumann for all the help! Recommendation: Booking is a must as this place is always crowded

A beautiful mix of Mediterranean cuisines of the East Med, North Africa and Southern Europe makes Souk a must visit place for an awesome and healthy meal. Comprising of lots of vegetables, herbs , seasonings and meat this is the most healthy of all cuisines. Influences from the Lebanese, Syrian, Egypt, Greece, Palestine and other countries this is one helluva cuisine. Souk is a beautiful restaurant done in pastels and looks so fresh even at Dinner ( it's open for dinner only). The Expat chef has done wonders with the menu, use of yoghurt and cheese like the haloumi, feta cheese and labneh just make it so wonderful. Big variety of salads like the Tabouleh, Fattoush paired well with the Dios and condiments like the Hummus, Mohmara, Babagannouj and more endless options. Use of chickpeas , Bourgul(kind of wheat) and beans and the endless herbs like the mint, parsley and use of sumac ( a sour berry) just make it so unique. Souk has a vast menu covering almost every region of the cuisine, grilling, roasting, baking and even Moroccan tagine is used for a few different sh preparations. A lovely restaurant for your special occasions and I bet you will fall in love with service and food once you visit here.

Souk is inside Taj Bengal. The brand Taj says it all. The service and food is top notch. They don’t try to over do things, but what ever they serve is made out of top quality items and the food are cooked to perfection.

Overall the food are good. Their Egyptian pizza was yummy, something different. From the grill section, the Turkish kebab and prawn are good. Service in the restaurant is very good and very prompt. In terms of ambience, I feel better maintenance and cleanliness should be kept since it’s a fine dining restaurant. I noticed some small dust particles(black) on the plate and later figured out that it was from the ac vent above our table, the ac vent is covered in dust, we could see the black dust around the vent.. we also informed our server, I hope actions have been taken to clean them. There are also many chipped ends on the marble table which could easily cut us…

I'm only staying in Kolcutta for two nights but I wish it was longer just to eat here again. It totally exceeded my expectations. The fresh pitta, taboule, halloumi and fig salad are excellent. However the piste de resistance is the amazing ice cream.( I'm not a real dessert person but I have found myself thinking about this all day). The rose or orange blossom and pitchatio ice cream is out of this world. Staff too are helpful and friendly. The chief Simon Shankour is Syrian which explains the authenticity. If you can't make this restaurant they also have one in the Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai. A very full and happy customer.

The best Mediterranean dine den in the city that serves some lip smacking foods. Must visit. We went for dinner and loved the cuisine and the atmosphere.

Souk is a big disappointment. We booked a table for a particular slot and yet the manager kept telling us the table is not ready. We got called after 30 minutes and had to arrange the table ourselves as the manager then got busy attending other customers for we all know why. For everyone who is planning to go here, keep an eye out for this manager. He is a bit oversized and is extremely rude. We visited there 4th October,2022.

An exceptionally curated set meal, “TDH Souk Experience”, made our New Year’s Day dinner extra special. Starting with a selection of mezze with a variety of pita breads, through to an exquisite lamb broth, prawns steamed to perfection, succulent kebab and a chicken preparation with rice at the finish before a duo of delectable desserts, this was an elaborate repast worthy of a celebration for two. Many thanks to the small but engaging and elegant trio of servers, Shambo, Shakti and Kankona.

Delectable experience @ Souk- visit 23/ Dec/ 22 We took lots of pictures but didn’t take any of the food itself… We were corresponding with Shakti Singh for a month now and eventually had to change the booking time twice which he efficiently obliged. Our host for the evening was Bratin and understanding our preferences served us a “ Black Tower Riesling” wine We had ordered … DELECTABLE DIPS- Babaganoush and Hummus Bin Lahm (with crispy lamb pine nut) as dips… AWESOME APPETIZERS - Halloumi, Felafel and Spinach Fatayer (kind of stuffed spinach cheese pizza) and Dijaj Moroccaine (fried chicken popcorn - well spiced but quite hard as the pieces were small) as starters. The pita was very thin and could have been a little authentic.… MOUTH-WATERING MAIN COURSE- Samak salalaha - (chargrilled bhetki)-absolutely fabulous; Dijaj Harra kebab- ( chargrilled chicken with harissa sauce)- soft and lightly hot Kebab meshwi (grilled minced lamb) for the main course. DELICIOUS DESSERTS- We were full and satiated but couldn’t leave the Baklava. Bratin suggested we order their house speciality Rose petal ice cream which was very good. It was a birthday celebration and they served a moist fudgy chocolate cake Very happy, very satiated and it was a great experience.

It used to be great, but felt underwhelmed in our last vist (September 2019). The food did not make an impact. Maybe i chose badly.

Well, if you often visit the Taj and are an ardent Middle East cuisine lover, you shouldn’t miss this at any cost! As the name goes, every dish out here reminds you of an authentic Arab marketplace - the ingredients, flavours and smells! Even the decor punches a right blend of luxury and Azeri which sets the mood for a perfect meal. Personal favourites include Humus Beiruty, Cigara Boregi and Eish Baladi (the perfect kind of pita that I’ve ever had) paired with Samak Bil Feta, which I feel has certain Bong-Greco flavours to it (yes, that Bhekti infused with creamy sauce). Among desserts, Chocolate Cigara is the perhaps a good way to infer with a nutty flavour that leaves you feeling satisfied. Already craving for some great Lebanese? Souk’s calling!

👍👍 Recently visited this place and trust me, it was worth every penny. The ambiance was great. We had Mutton Chello Kebab. The kebabs were very juicy and tender, I couldn't stop drooling! The egg yolk was runny and just perfect. The rice portion had a nice fresh smell and all together it was magical in...

😐 Simply come here for the atmosphere and history. Nothing should be eaten here. Cold coffee was a letdown. It was cold water that had been sweetened with a pinch of coffee. The fish kaviraji was satisfactory. Despite the fact that there is a no-smoking sign on the premises, I observed people smoking...
