Alfresco is one of the restaurant in The Lalit Great Eastern, situated at the heart of the city, very close to Esplanade. We opted for the dinner buffet, upon reaching were greeted by the staff cordially. The service was quite sloppy, as we had to wait for 15 mins to get appetizers served and they did not serve the unlimited softdrink as per Dine in and main course was missing Mutton 🙄. But rest everything was a 5 🌟 experience. The food was absolutely stunning. Every single one of them, top notch in quality, taste and served hot. The internal decor of this place is a joy for your eyes, neat and clean and well maintained.

Went there to celebrate my parents anniversary. Was not satisfied with the menu at the buffet section. Very limited options for main course. There was absolutely no complementing dishes in the main course section. One cannot possibly be expected to have Chinese noodles with some authentic bengali mutton side dish. I would not be going back anytime soon as long as the current menu stays in place. Dessert section was the only saving grace but still with very limited options

A wonderful Heritage hotel. Loved the ambience. Loved the food. Loved everything. Buffet Lunch is 1500 + tax and Dinner is 1600 + tax for all 7 days of the week. If u want you can also have Ala Carte menu. It is a Heritage hotel. Simply loved it.

Been here around a few months back. Residing at Old Court House Street, Dalhousie Square. Lalit Great Eastern is a popular name in the 5-Star Category of Hotels. The restaurant Alfresco is located on the ground floor of Lalit. The ambience of this place is a classy one. The staffs were courteous but the service was a little slow. Although the pricing was cheaper compared to other 5-Star Restaurants, the food options were limited too. But the quality of the food was excellent. This place is surely recommended for a fine dining experience and good food.

Hospitality was good. Environment was good. But food i don't know how but a hair was present in the dish ordered by us in the starter. So we just cancelled the main course as well. But they replaced the starter dish. So for that 3star ratings. But they should be aware while making food to maintain proper hygiene.

Did not eat here. Lalit definitely did not feel like a 5 star. Maybe a 3 star. The buildings were dirty and looked unkempt. The buffet platter had very few selections and was not worth the price. Seeing the spread We chose not to eat there. Would not recommend.

Disappointing. Extremely disappointing restaurant for a good hotel. I have eaten better and tastier Indian and western food elsewhere, both in restaurants and hotels. Plenty of options missing from the menu that already has not much variety. Even poorer was the service: takes you 10 minutes to receive the menu (in form of the QR code), another 10 to be able to place the soft drinks order (that apparently is not placed by the waiter for another 10 minutes with the kitchen/bar), then you might be able to place your order for food, if one of the managers does not divert the waiter from your table. This is a joke, not a restaurant.

Had gone for buffet dinner alongwith family on 9th august.amazing experience.food was very deliscious.as expected of lalit group.but what was really touching was the amazing personalised service.it is an example as to what hospitality industry should function.great host.other five star hotels of kolkata should learn from them where the service is either disinterested and indifferent as in taj bengal or artificial as in jw marriot.here the service is extremely warm and hospitable but non intrusive.each and every personnel in the resturant deserves a bow from us.thank you for making our evening very special

The place is good. Food quality good. Staff behaviour is very good and very helpful. It's good for dinner. Number of food item as per the tariff is very minimum Hayatt and other have more number of menu in this range..

The food quality was not upto the mark what yesteryear's Great Eastern used to have. The service of the attendents was not acceptable. He was pressing to complete our lunch quickly as another booking was there ....not justified. Was the buffer for any specific group. Utter dissatisfaction

It's one of the restaurants of Lalit Great Eastern hotel in BBD Bag, the famous office district of Kolkata. The restaurant is very long and open kind of thing with lots of day light during lunch time. The tables are placed with lot of places in between to very comfortably move around. Menu is huge with too many options. Staffs are very customer friendly and courteous. Service is reasonably fast.
