The cafe has a pink themed ambience which is very cute and elegant . Drawbacks - The food items are a bit overpriced according to the taste and quality .

Previously I visited er there 3 times and I liked the place ..quality of food is moderate not too good but the icecream combo is very tasty I like this. ..but recently I visited and was disappointed very much ..I ordered a combo platter which contained biriyani + alu baja + chowmin + a boiled egg+ chicken kebab 8 pic + plain nun paratha + salad + raita rupees 550 ..... This is the worst combo I have ever seen ..don't purchase this ...the platter contains only dry foods...quantity is poor... Biriyani which is provided without potato and chicken. .. Without chicken and potato how people imagine biriyani I don't know ....next is kebab this is so hard to eat and not tasty...next is chowmin this is also very bad in taste and not soft you have to chew for a long time ....they told us it was dry patter you have to buy gravy item separately but I never imagine dry means totally dry ....they provide alu vaja in round shape ... After providing the platter they told us this is only rice platter so here in no chicken and potato in biriyani

Scoop New Empire is one of the oldest, legendary place in the town. Scoop New Empire is here to bring a lot of new dishes here this Ramzan and that too at a very reasonable rate. Now they have come up with Iftaar Special menu which is specially curated for this occasion. Iftar kit just at 375/- . This Iftar kit consists of DATES,GRAPES,WATERMELON,PAPAYA,CHANNA MASALA,ONION PAKORA,ALOO PAKORA,DAL PAKORA. . Mehfil ka shaan which is main attraction for all- a full feasting platter with biryani, kebabs, naan noodles and all. Biryani was excellent and kebabs were absolutely soft and moist. This one is the eye catcher and main attraction here! Also they’ve launched authentic Tangra style Chinese here. Must try their sizzlers. Also they’ve introduced Tandoor Chai i their menu. . So hop in today and enjoy these lavish meals with your friends and family. . 💸Pocket Pinch: 600-700 for two approx 📍location: No.1, Humayun Pl, near New Empire Cinema, New Market Area, Dharmatala, Taltala, Kolkata . . .

The atmosphere is fine, the food is so-so, but the price is a bit high as compared to the food quality and quantity... I ordered a sizzler which cost around 300, but the quantity is soo less.

Food is quite good. We tried scoop special tikka biriyani which is enough for 2 person . Taste is awesome and quite innovative(Pink egg) . For starters we took chicken lollipop, which is good but according to price could be better. Feels very dry , because they don't serve gravy. Ambience is good, decorated nicely and staffs are very polite. Overall nice place for eating lunch after your new market shopping.

Nice place for lunch. Had basanti pulao and Kosha Mangsho with lime soda. Food was good. But strangely, had to ask for lemon separately. I was not charged for it but some basic things could be provided like onion, chillies.

I recently visited Scoop, one of the oldest ice cream parlours in Kolkata. The place is located in the heart of the city, near New Empire Cinema. It is a small, cozy place with a few tables and chairs. The decor is simple and the atmosphere is relaxed. The menu features a variety of ice cream flavors, as well as other desserts such as ice cream sundaes, milkshakes, and waffles. I ordered a scoop of chocolate ice cream and a waffle. The ice cream was creamy and flavorful, and the waffle was hot and crispy. I also tried a milkshake, which was thick and delicious. The service at Scoop was friendly and efficient. The prices are reasonable, and the overall experience was enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Scoop to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable ice cream treat in Kolkata. Here are some pros and cons of Scoop: Pros: Delicious ice cream Friendly service Affordable prices Relaxed atmosphere Cons: Small space No parking at the spot Overall, I had a positive experience at Scoop. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable ice cream treat in Kolkata.

Pujo shopping and having lunch here goes hand in hand. Since childhood baba used to bring us here after we were done buying clothes. This time I had ordered a Rosy Jee Lassi and Delhi Wala Non Veg pasta.

Regular visitor, but faced some intolerable incidents recently. The food quality was really bad these days and they have denied the mistakes they made. Then there is payment problems. But food options are really good. Desserts are really good. Dhosa and chicken combo is nice also. Chichen wings are highly recommended. But golden prawn fries, which are really costly were under cooked, bitter batter and tasteless. Momos are good. But 20% items are not available these days. Good for time pass. Slightly overpriced.

Spacious sitting area, good ambiance, polite staff and reasonable pricing.. If you’re tired after long days’ shopping and want to take some rest with nibbling a variety of food, this is your place for breakfast, branch, lunch or dinner. The best thing about this place is nobody is in hurry here.. No one will bother to take your order for a long time.. Food is served in reasonable time.. But they will forget you totally after serving… Stay as long as you want.. Food is good.. you can try!! We tried pizza.. worth!!

It used to be better when it was smaller. Now it's big and total waste. Food is tasteless. Menu is different than items. Ordered tango, received ghee rice and plain kebabs. See images. Taste was absolutely bland. Prices don't justify anything - not food nor service. Had to wait endlessly without anyone attending. Restaurant is empty during peak hours. Upon complaining for delay their waiter starts arguing and telling me i am calling the guards to throw you out because you are giving negative feedback rudely (their expectation is we be nice with them after all the pain and talk with low voice so no one else hears).

Well when you're at New Market Shopping 🛍 area and after a long day this is the place to just take a break for a while and have some good food. Loved their vegetarian options too. We had our lunch here and tried Masala Dosa and Crispy Medu vada and some refreshing healthy drink . The food was fresh and served hot. Vadas were crispy .

The price for starters are okayish. The quantity is moderate and the ambience is nice. The deserts are very overpriced if you look at the quality and quantity. But what sucks is their service. You'll feel left out as they don't pay much attention to the customers. We had finished eating and asked for the bill but we literally had to go to the counter, get the receptionist to print the bill and then pay like they didn't print at the moment we asked for it! How forgetful can they be? Better skip this place.

The south indian foods are great. I liked the Chinese too. But the biriyani didn't have the edge and speciality of Kolkata. The ambiance was ok. The chairs need upgradation.

Nestled between the hustle bustle of the new market area. New empire the shining theatre in the bygone era of single screen theatre. This small little restaurant serves wholesome food and alcohol. Not many might not know of. Just look towards left after you enter the building. The crowd might overwhelm you, but most of them are just busy with the new shiny brands of food like kfc and barista or wow momo. Just slip through the stairs and you’d find this gem of a place hidden in plain sight. Nice food, decent environment, nostalgic feeling. All wrapped into one!!

A large good joint and confectionery in the new market area where variety of foods are surprising. Service was also good. Some of the dishes are delicious in taste but adviced to be more careful about sizzlers.

Scoop is one of the oldest, legendary place in the town. They are satisfying tastebuds of the people of Kolkata since long. Now they have come up with Iftaar Special menu which is specially curated for this occasion. Scoop is located at Kolkata's shopping paradise New Market, just beside the city mart. Bright walls, yellow lights hanging from the ceiling, minimal decor make this place perfect to chill and have a hearty meal. The dishes from Iftaar menu are quite interesting and completely different from the regular ones. What did I try? Turkish Kebab, Dosa with Kashmiri ki Rogan Josh, Dosa with Delhiwale Butter Chicken, Mehfil ka Shaan. Turkish kebab came up with Pita bread, onion rings and spicy french fries. Kebab was prepared with minced chicken, marinated with lots of different spices and grilled in skewers. Must try. Dosa with kashmir ki Rogan Josh and Dosa with Delhiwale Butter Chicken was just too good. I have never tried this combination before but honestly I loved them. Both Rogan Josh and Butter Chicken was well cooked, very delicious and when I had it with the crispy dosa it tasted just amazing. Highly recommended. Mehfil ka shaan was the show stopper, it is a huge platter filled with spicy noodles, biryani, kebabs, Indian Bread or naan, raita and onion rings. This is perfect for 2-3 people. From the summer special drinks you can try Muskaanwala, it's my favourite. To end up your meal with some good desserts do try Noori and Mango Mastani. Visit Scoop to try their iftaar menu and other available lipsmacking dishes.

Good ambience and service. Variety of food well prepared. Taste average but not poor. Charges do not match other restaurants nearby as you cand see in the menue. Those who want to pay some extra bucks may have a good meal here with your family and friends.

I had gone there for lunch. The vibe of the place is nice. It’s quite light hearted and enjoyable and the decor is nice. The servers are more or less attentive. In terms of the food we ordered a lassi but it was not that great. The milk was not that thick and it was not that great. We ordered the chicken kebab and the kebab was very tasty. However, the salad was really bad and the sauce was mayonnaise but I expected sour cream. Overall, it was a decent experience and the food was good.

Scoop is located at Newmarket NewEmpire. Interior is quite good and its a nice place to hangout with friends . Their pastries are really tasty, good, less sweet and very affordable. The tutty fruity ice cream is very sweet compared to others. It's a good food joint to try out after hopping the shops in New market.

The quality is worst.i mean the ambiance was good, hygiene was maintained but at the end of the day it's the food....which is very bad..I had the combo thali(550/-)and chicken biriyani (390/-) th service was soo late...there was no rush as well ....but it was all in all horrible experience ever.

It is 3.5 star category place. Some items are really good but they need to more improvement in Turkish kabab. And please don't write kebap instead of kebab. Tandoori items I found good here.

Scoop located at New Market, Opposite to Shreeram Arcade is mostly known for its desserts and also their lipsmacking food. I recently came here and came to know about their Iftar Menu. It looked very interesting so thought to order from that menu only. What I Tried, 🔹Mehfil Ka Shaan - Mehfil ka Shaan is comprised of Biryani rice, Spicy Noodles, Kulcha, Raita, Lucknowi Murgh, Reshmi Kebab, Nepali Aloo. They also provide you with egg and aloo of the Biryani. This platter is an all in one package for biryani and kebab lovers! 🔸Abu Chicken with Pita Bread - Served in sticks, comes in 6 pcs with laccha onions. The chicken was very soft and full of flavours. 🔹Mutton Rogan Josh with Plain Dosa - I have had Rogan Josh few times but never with dosa and trust me it won't disappoint you. The rogan josh was delicious, perfect balance of spices and soft mutton pieces. 🔸Turkish Kebab - Minced Meat mixed with variety of veggies and spices. Served with two soft pita breads and laccha onions. It was a little different in taste from other kebabs I have tried. Definitely worth a try. For Dessert - 🔹Noori 🔸Mango Mastani Noori is a must try here. And my favourite too. It has four types of ice cream along with custard. Mango Mastani was also very good. All in all, loved the hospitality and the food is superb! Would love to visit again soon! 👍❤️

I went for some evening snacks. I had Pizza, Chowmein, Vada, Oreo shake, Brownie shake. All were good quality and quantity wise. Vada plate is unique. Normally its 2 piece a plate but here it was 4. They could make ot 2 idly and 2 vada instead. I found shake little expensive 300+ . Vibe , location is excellent. Service is also very good.

👍👍 Recently visited this place and trust me, it was worth every penny. The ambiance was great. We had Mutton Chello Kebab. The kebabs were very juicy and tender, I couldn't stop drooling! 😐 Simply come here for the atmosphere and history. Nothing should be eaten here. Cold coffee was a letdown. It was cold water that had been sweetened with a pinch of coffee.
