The good food and with great service, you can't skip when in city of joy! It wouldn't be surprising to say, Peshawari could be one reason for Kolkata to be city of joy! It worth the tag. The servings are so beautiful that it's bad to even tough and deface it, but food can't be left alike and it has to be grabbed and eaten.

Went there with a lot of expectations on Saptami for dinner. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. Their service is really outstanding but the food is terrible. I don't understand how they got such a high rating in all the platforms. I tried the Chicken Malai kebab, Sikandari Rann, Chicken Makkhan, Dal Bukhara and Naan Bukhara. Among these only chicken malai kabab was tasty. Soft and delicious. Sikandari Rann and Naan Bukhara were so salty. The taste of Chicken makkhan was really bad. It tasted so sweet. Among all the restaurants I've eaten in Kolkata this was my worst experience in terms of food. I don't think they can compensate for the terrible taste of food with great service. Would not recommend to anyone.

A private experience, taken well care off by the staff. Keep it up. Decent food, not bastardized.

Went there for lunch today as it was my girlfriend's birthday. Well it was a great experience as the food was outstanding in taste and in terms of portion size as well. ITC never compromises it's quality and today I had to admit regarding the quantity as well. Usually in 5 Stars you get portion sizes in smaller quantities, in comparison to other normal restaurants. However, I am amazed to see the portion sizes maintained by ITC as we were so full that we had to pack the extras which we could not had. Coming to the food, we had Sikandari Raan - Murgh Malai Kebab - 2 types of Kulcha and Butter Naan accompanied with 2 mocktails. All the items were amazing and tastes delicious. The ambiance is awesome as you can feel the essence of Peshawar in Kolkata. Gesture of the staffs were too good. Special Thanks to Shantanu who guided us through the entire menu and recommended us for the dishes. Last but not the least I had to thank Shantanu once again for his warm gesture as we were served the mocktail and the Dal Bukhara free of cost just coz it was my girlfriend's birthday and we were referred by one of the previous colleague of Shantanu named "Vineet" . So approximately 1700rs food free of cost . This was something great for us. Would recommend Peshawri if you are looking for authentic North Indian food .

I had heard so much about this restaurant so decided to take my family here. The decor and ambiance is very good. We ordered the chicken and mutton kebab full platter with 20 pieces and it was nice. The chicken could have been tender. For main course, we ordered garlic naan, onion kulcha, dal bukhara (their signature dish) and makhani murgh. The naan was good in size and our server informed us that we should start with 2 because the naans here are big. The dal bukhara was kind of ok. The makhani murgh was delectable but more gravy and less chicken. The kulfi was awesome. Overall a nice experience but i expected more. Service was nice but for even small things like paper towels and cutlery we had to keep asking. They added an extra item in my bill and thank god i checked that. They though apologized for it. There was then an issue with printing out the bill.

Overall a very disappointing experience. Would not come back and would not recommend. Restaurant has some huge fundamental problems. Firstly, it's located downstairs without any lift. We had a person with mobility issues and had to almost cancel the evening. However, we managed to finally bring her in through a back entrance in the car park. The design of the restaurant is aggressively terrible. The tables are cramped, there is barely any room for the food. You have to either sit shoulder to shoulder on a narrow bench or on some stools. By the end of the evening we all had sore backs and leg cramps. I am all for "rustic charm" can we please have a basic level of comfort? The plates are a very unappetizing colour, the glasses are wobbly and hard to drink out of and cutlery is placed in the centre of the table in a bucket like in a fast food restaurant. The food was decent, but nothing remarkable. Kebabs, naan from one of the moghlai chains would be as good (if not better) for a fraction of the price. We had 2 cocktails. Neither was very good, but one (pink city) was so flavorless that we had to send it back. Service was just functional and seemed to be least bothered about the guests. Waiters mostly ignored us and we would have to work hard to catch their attention to get any service. No one asked us how the food was, or if we would like another round of drinks or water. The best part of the evening was that it ended.

Location. Very inconvenient location, entry is confusing, narrow and one way. Staff at gate are rude and unhelpful Interior. Extremely poor. Sitting on a very low and narrow stool is very inconvenient especially for senior citizens. Entrance is by stairs, impossible to access for people with limited mobility and senior citizen Service. Very slow, unprofessional Food. Extremely great quality and quantity. Wide range of food, excellent taste, authentic. Price. Exorbitantly over priced. Conclusion. Don't visit if you're going with senior citizen or limited mobility. Overpriced food at very slow service. I felt unsafe due to poor lighting and long walk.

Love the ambience, the warmth, the environment, the classy feel with extremely hospitable staff. True to its name, you feel royal Peshawri! . Food is excellent. Drinks are good. Did you know, they don't offer cutlery on the tables unlike any fine dine or restaurants. They give copper glasses for water (I really wonder how they maintain it so well and shiny). The only complaint (although not exactly a complaint) is the menu is very limited. You dont find much variety to choose from. They dont serve soups, no rice related items etc here(Seriously...!!!). This part is quite saddening as kids and senior citizens and non alcohol drinkers mostly have these as their obvious choices in dining.

Obviously a bit expensive but the food tastes heavenly. Cocktails are awesome. There are many options of drinks to select from. There is no rice dish in their menu. And the tradition is to eat with your hand, although you can ask for spoon/fork if you need. A good experience altogether.

We had the most amazing North Indian spread at Peshawri on our last visit to Kolkata. Jitendar Ram and Apoorbo Dey went above and beyond with their recommendations and hospitality. We were treated with sumptuous kebabs and cocktails and topped off with some Kulfi.

Really wondering what’s going on at ITC Hotels!! Utter disappointment at Ottimo last week and similar at Peshawari this time. For last 10 years and more, our typical menu had been Chicken Malai Kebab, Mutton Burrah Kebab, Butter Nan, Dal Bukhara, Butter Chicken and Sikandari Raan. And every occasion, we returned with Food packed. Yesterday, forget carrying back, literally left food on the table… Shrunk and Dried Chicken Kebab, Skinny Burrah Kebab, Burnt Nan, Sour Chicken Butter and Dry and tiny Sikandari Raan. Not sure whether the typical bowl of Dal Bukhara has shrunk or not since none 4 of us could get a second serving. Being an ex ITC employee for decade, it’s an unwanted and undesirable experience and really feeling sad 😞

Wow! Limited menu but each item bordering on perfection. Excellent ambience and service. One of the best places in the country to enjoy authentic kababs and tandoori items.

Went for a family lunch on 25th November. Though a Saturday, it was relatively empty at 1 PM. The decor and ambience was nice and quiet. The seating is rustic; on one side of the table, it is without backrest; could become quite uncomfortable if one sits for an hour which is par for the course. It is famous for Kababs, so we ordered veg, mutton and chicken seek kababs and chicken malai tikka. The kababs were satisfactory, not the kind of "melt in the mouth", a bit dry perhaps. The malai tikka was really good, soft and very tasty. Later we also ordered tandoori pomfret, Dal Bukhara, garlic and butter naan. The fish was superb but the dal was disappointing, nothing compared to Maurya in Delhi. I felt it had excess salt. The garlic naan was a bit hard. The portions were quite good, particularly the size of the fish was really big. Most importantly, no item was hot ( chiilies I mean). For desert, we asked for Rasmalai and Kulfi. Both were good. The service was excellent, didn't have to wait for long for the food to arrive and the people were extremely courteous and nice. Overall, I left with a feeling that it is nowhere near the exhaulted standard of Bukhara.

Spent a birthday at Peshawari. Missed a dew things - the famous Bukhara naan is not being served. The dal bukhara for which I visit Peshawari has dipped in taste but its still good. The ambience was always good.

I have been visiting Peshawri Kolkata for a very long time. Today on my birthday I decided to have dinner there with my family. Being a weekend the place was full. But we were seated next to a giant party table full of children and child like adults shouting screaming and laughing at the top of their lungs disturbing us to no end. My daughter even informed the duty manager and requested him to shift our tables - but he didn’t bother and simply said they were busy. The tables at the back of the restaurant weren’t full of shouting adults who think they own the place because they are paying for a meal with a group of 10-12 people- like the one seating in front of us. They were so noisy we could hardly hear each other. The worst part - staff didn’t even tell them once to keep it down, as if they were inside their own drawing room. We went to celebrate ourselves and they were informed regarding my birthday as well but guess what ? Our table request wasn’t entertained. The quality of the food has drastically gone down the chicken kurchan which is one of my all time favourite dish tasted too tangy and bad - maybe there were far too many people for the chefs to handle ? I don’t know. I didn’t enjoy my meal and wanted to get out of the hell hole . It was such a pathetic experience. I went to FABELLE to get a small piece of cake later on. The staff at this restaurant is nice we just have a problem with the manager, he was clueless and didn’t have the capacity to handle any matter.

Went on 18.11.23 for my mother’s birthday dinner. This place has been a family favourite for ages. Unfortunately today was a weekend and the place was sort of full when we arrived at 19:30. There was a group of people seated in front of us having a big fat “private party”. They were screaming at the top of their lungs, giggling away as if they were at their own living room, no respect for others - absolutely brash crowd which you get to see at local dhabas. I requested the person in charge to change my table because the tables at the back of the restaurant were comparatively quiet- but no attention was paid to my request neither the person asked the “big fat party makers” to keep it down. Now coming to the food - the quality of the food has also gone down, as mentioned before this was a weekend - chef made really bad chicken kurchan- it’s one of our favourite dishes and we keep coming back for this one - this was so bad ! The food was very average and the experience was really bad. Since it was my mother’s birthday and we went to celebrate - there were no complimentary cake as promised over the phone during reservation. Everything seemed so bad - food - service - some staff. Such a bad experience - very disappointed

Dal bukhara was simply out of this world followed by Kebab platter comprising of inviting, tender, tasty kebabs full of rich flavour. Service was moderately good with slight delays here & there. Perhaps they were a little short on manpower, but, not lacking on effort though. A truly satisfying dining experience indeed.

A disappointing experience..Sitting is not. Comfortable..Reaching it requires you to climb up and down a flight of stairs so,those with health problems..beware !Very limited menu options..They serve N.W.Frontier cuisine but people there do eat rice! Here you get only parathas ..You are supposed to eat with your hands , there is no choice because they provide no cutlery at all ! They do not provide finger bowls either, only wet towels..Which is not the same thing.Be careful while paying..They proudly proclaim they take no service charge yet add a hefty amount of tip to your bill ..Menu can only be scanned but they will not share the WiFi password if you are not staying at the hotel.Food portions were good but taste was nothing to rave about.Their Eden Pavilion is even more disappointing.

The Peshawri restaurant is located in ITC Sonar. The food here is very good. It is a mix of mughlai cuisine along with some traditional Bengali dishes as well. The best dishes at this restaurant are the mutton biryani and the shahi tukra. The only reason that I am giving this 3 Stars is that the ambience is quite good the air conditioner is very very cold which prevents us from enjoying the dishes to the fullest. Also please note that you would not be getting any spicy food here, all the dishes are prepared with the mildest spice possible.

It was good but to be completely honest, if you’ve been to Peshawari at the ITc Maratha in mumbai, you will be disappointed with this outlet. Some of the items on the menu weren’t the same…the non veg sharing platter isn’t on the kolkata menu and that’s a huge disappointment. The waiters are very nice but not trained or well versed with the menu or even communicate effectively. We had to wait to be seated even though it was empty, simply because there was no one at the entrance when we got there. Yes we had a reservation. A tad disappointed since it’s itc.

I was at Peshwari with my mother and sister couple of days ago. We ordered Peshwari Kebabs, Dal Bukhara, Naans etc. Kebabs and Dal Bukhara were quite average. Then comes the dessert. We ordered Ras Malai which was abysmally bad!! So very unexpected from such a prestigious 5-star brand. My sis ordered wine…as she wanted particularly a certain taste of wine so we asked for tasting before the order was placed. Tasting ritual is done in a very odd manner which I have never experienced anywhere in the world. Even the service was too slow!! At the end after terrible Rasmalai when we complained they reversed the amount. But you see we never go to a restaurant or for any service (be it ITC Sonar or elsewhere ) for refund :-) I visited this place almost after 10 yrs as I Iive outside India and all the times I had excellent experience barring the recent one. This review is written not ust let people know about my exp but a bit of heavy heart as I am proud of my city, its culinary heritage and iconic ITC. When we go to Kolkata we like to re-live our past memories. In case management comes across this kindly look into it so that I can proudly recommend to others. Looking forward to write a positive review in future :-)

I went there with my girlfriend today as it is her birthday, want to share our pictures together but can't share publicly now😁, truly a 5 star experience , very romantic atmosphere with good service and good food as well, I'm really happy and satisfied.❤️ If u also want to make your family and friends happy then u can visit there the Peshawri restaurant is located in ITC sonar bangla which is at nearby science city by pass dhapa.

This is one my favorite restaurant, always available with ITC hotels. Very good service, atmosphere, and kababs. I recommend reshmi or peshawri kabab. The Dhal was also amazing. Finish up with a Kulfi (ice cream). The price is a bit on the higher side, but worth it for the occasion.

Went to Peshawari in ITC Sonar Bangla expecting it to be one of the best experiences for my anniversary. The experience however was pretty average. Will start with the reception which houses all the restaurants - there is no one there and I really don't know why the reception counter is there. You have to figure out the restaurants using the direction signs. The seating in the restaurant is very very uncomfortable. They have the stools with some basic cushion....that's an experience you expect at a dhaba. We managed to get a sofa after a while but even there you have a large gap between the table and the sofa forcing you to reach out for the food. Food is average, doesn't stand out. All in all pretty disappointed. Not worth 1800 person without alcohol.

A fine 5 star dine-in with vintage ambience and class food. Service is just unmatchable. The only issue is limited veg food options

Mutton overcooked, not juicy. Not based on the the concept of value for money. Taste was not upto our expectations. Some of it was good, like lobster or koolfy. Assorted platter quality was so so. Not enjoyed. Disheartened.
