Till now one of the best Chinese restaurant I have went in Kolkata. I just cannot comment on the ambience, because it’s too much aesthetic and you can take as many as pictures you want and you can take your time there with your friends, family partner and have a long chat with the foods . About the service, all the people were so amazing and so helpful and so polite, till now I didn’t receive anything like this from any of the restaurant. In some restaurant, I have received good behaviour but yeah you can get very home and kind feeling from those people. Let’s talk about the foods, it’s totally dam amazing tasteful. It has no too much oil not too much fried. But then also you can have amazing taste in your mouth. All the items I have taken by closing my eyes because in the language they have written it’s not at all understanding for some new comers there. But trust me you can just take any of the foods and you can have amazing time there. Just make sure if you have allergy then let them know then they will suggest you in a different way. This is the first time I have given five star to some restaurant and I’m glad I went there . Let’s talk about the price, it’s a bit higher than other restaurant because it’s just not simple Indian foods, did you create and they make you feel like you are in Japan or China or Korea. Trust me if you go there, then you will have a great time. And if you are fond of Indian foods, mostly then do not go there, because you won’t get too much oily foods. You will get very sophisticated and very aesthetic and sober food there (kinda boiled and roasted) .

Sometimes when I have to indulgence, I try to look for opulence. Yauatcha has already drawn it's presence in the heart of Kolkata foodies since long time. It has also been on my list of must try and when my friend requested me to join him, I couldn't deny. Located inside the upmarket Quest Mall it is definitely a ₹₹₹₹ place. The ambiance is chic and modern. I am not sure though if it gives an Asian feeling too much. The ordering process is easy and the waitstaff are also very cordial. The food is little overrated compared to the brand. The portion sizes are too small and lives more to be desired. The options are limited if you are pork lover. If I have to live on chicken in an upmarket Asian restaurant, then I will probably skip next time. Overall, if you are looking to spend some bucks on a good to look place, this place should be in your list.

Yauatcha is the first Michelin star restaurant in Kolkata. The food is alright but the desserts are definitely worth trying. Try the macarons, hazelnut choco mousse and raspberry delice. Yummy!

Yauatcha has been on my wishlist for a long time and finally went there last Saturday. The place lives up to its reputation of being classy and beautiful. Fortunately, we see got seated by the glass pane overviewing the city and it was really pleasant, to say the least. Now, coming back to the food we started with some cocktails followed by 3 starters and a main course with a side dish. The following were our orders: Mocktails: 1. Virgin Mojito: Cool and refreshing, much like any other mojitos we get. 2. Tokyo Cooler: Did not try it but my friend said it was refreshing and could taste the flavours of Guava and Watermelon. Starters: 1. Crispy Prawn Cheung Fun - A must-try here. The delicate flavour of prawns with a perfect balance of crisp on the inside and soft on the outside. With the light soy sauce, it has become my absolute favourite. 2. Poached Pecking Dumplings: The quantity might seem a bit less compared to the price but the flavour of the broth makes up for it. With the perfect balance of tangy and spicy, the broth was very addictive. I couldn't stop myself from taking another spoonful. Another must-try dish from the menu. 3. Crispy Duck Rolls: The covering was thin and crisp and the duck filling tasted good too. Did not like the sauce it came with as it was too sweet to my liking. I will recommend the duck rolls but without the sauce. Main Course: 1. Roasted Pork and Shrimp Fried Rice: Another must-try. The quantity was sufficient for 2 people. 2. Stir-fried Tenderloin in Black Pepper Sauce: We would have liked it a little more had the tenderloin pieces been fried a little less. The pieces had become a bit hard but the flavours were good. I would recommend this as well. Unfortunately, we did not try the desserts this time but kept that for the next visit. The staffs were courteous, as one can expect from a restaurant of such repute. Overall we had a very lovely experience!

TL;DR A wonderful fine dining experience in this offshoot of what was once the holder of a coveted Michelin star. This is a place where you would be going for not just food but a culinary experience of sorts. I've been to multiple-starred hotels in the city of joy and their fancy restaurants but I can firmly say that my palate was best worked at Yauatcha. Right from the Dim-Sum platter to the delectable chocolate and hazelnut mousse, they got it spot on. What really took me by surprise was their spicy fried rice. It tickled my taste buds with alternating capsaicin heat and umami. A three course meal for two cost us about 5000 bucks but the taste more than made up for the lighter pocket. I repeat, this is NOT a budget restaurant. But a meal here every now and then will remind you that fine dining does exist in this city.

If you want to taste something different yet of Asian essence then Yauatcha is your place. Very subtle yet flavourful meals and a marvelous service experience. I will give an extra point for the cleanliness and hygiene that they are following.

Really this was my first time visit in such a lovely place. The ambience was nice, loved the view from the top floor. We went for lunch (family lunch) the view of sunset was bliss. The food was delicious, mind-blowing too good to taste. We took one prawn dish which was just fabulous as the prawns were so perfectly cooked and tasted unique. The rice was also awesome and everything was remarkable. Loved each and every food be it drinks, soup, starter, icecream and the main course. The price was definitely high though but yes the quality I would say didn't disappoint me neither we face any problem after consuming so much food in one day 😂😂

Yauatcha Kolkata is a Chinese dim sum teahouse offering an all-day dining experience. It is located in the popular Quest Mall and is currently open for dine-in, delivery and take away. The restaurant has a modern and elegant ambience and serves a wide variety of dim sum, noodles, rice and other Chinese dishes. We had a very good time over there.

Tried a few of their dishes. All of them were very good. My favorite is Crispy Prawn Cheung Fun. Although a bit expensive, the taste of the food and the ambience of the restaurant were worth the money.

The food and the cocktails are superb. The décor is tasteful and the staff are very courteous. My only complaint is that for Rs. 2200, the lobsters are a bit too small. But overall, 10/10 would recommend.

It's in quest Mall 5th floor, we went on a Saturday, August 19, 2023. We chose to have there newly started pre set menu which is Weekend Supreme Brunch. For the first time I got to know that a restaurant serves unlimited cocktails with limited meals and no mocktails. Since I am a vegetarian and don't take alcohol I requested them to please get me a mocktail of they can to which they agreed on a condition that mocktail would be limited to one only. Well coming to food, first was a veg sweet corn soup, then two types of dimsums, then the main course noodles and some tofu and then the desert with a mocktail. That's it. Dimsums were limited to three pc , so both the dimsums equals to 6 pcs . The quantity is only good for one person. They charge service tax on the bill of about 10%on their own. Well those who love to have cocktails will love it as it's unlimited. The ambience is nice and the staff members were good too. Dimsums were wow. Soup was so so. Main course rice is better than the noodles. Mocktail served was yummy. The cheque for one person would come to around Rs. 2250/-.

Dinner with sisters and unfortunately in a weekday also, it was crowded and thus missed the window side table. Coming to the foods, if you like dumplings, this is the place to be. Authentic and well made dumplings and also tried the Tiramisu. As it is a premium restaurant, it will cost that much as it is providing exceptional services and foods. Reservation is mandatory.

The Michelin starred , London based eatery is a dim-sum heavy restaurant that boasts of an elaborate menu , out of the world fine dining experience and an Asian flavour that is sure to stay on your mind for a long time . Hot and sour chicken soup - tangy, spicy , tasty . Mixed salad with lotus root - healthy option with delightful after-taste. Crispy prawn Cheung fun- silky rice sheet wrapped around crunch prawns , teemed with warm soya sauce made it the star dish of the day. Har Gau - steamed dim sum that bursts with subtlety in your mouth . Poached Peking dumpling - in that soya bath is a must-have. Stir-fry chicken with Szechuan peppercorn- is meaty, flavourful in a peppery sauce. Ho Fan - flat noodles made to perfection with chunks of mock meat. Chocolate Raspberry delice- tanginess of raspberry coated the bitter chocolate and tasted like heaven when had with the ice-cream. A perfect climax to a perfect evening . @yauatchakolkata did their best to live up to the expectation of gastronomes like me. . . Follow @the_tastebud_trails

Located on 5th floor of Quest Mall, Kolkata. A Chinese cum oriental cuisine restaurant. We visited during evening hours. Prior booking is not mandatory. Restaurant has food as well as drink menu. We ordered stir fried chicken in szechuan pepper, stir fried udon noodle with black pepper sauce, Ginger martini. A summary of the overall experience : Quality is good. Quantity is perfect and optimum. Ambience is excellent. Price a little on the higher end. Service is prompt. Worth visiting & exploring.

Okay so we went there today had an awesome dining experience. This Chinese cuisine restaurant quite famous in city for its fine dining. We had 1)Crispy Prawn Cheung Fun(their signature dish which we felt was okayish) 2) Sliced Lamb in kam heyong sauce(must try) (the juicy texture of lamb was to melt for). Along with these we had beer (they have Kingfisher premium,Hoegarden & Corona) 3)Raspberry delice(best thing of the day)(this dessert item comes with raspberry mousse shaped in the form of red rose along with lychee ice cream) (must try)(mix the mousse & ice cream for a better dessert experience)

Overall a very bad experience. Firstly the menu is very small in comparison to what I had been served in mumbai Bkc branch. Secondly the service is so slow even without any customer in the hotel giving a total negative Thirdly when we asked them to remove the service charge from the bill they made us wait for 10 minutes expecting us to leave the place without getting the change.

Service was really disappointing to say the least. The restaurant was almost empty when I went it, yet service was bad. For everything that we needed or ordered, I had to follow up couple of times. Food was disappointing too....quality has really gone down

This place has definitely lost some of its sheen over time. But it's still has a decent Asian fare. Not as great as Ping's but not bad.

The restaurant gives an amazing view of the sunset. Service was on point. We ordered a strawberry and vanilla mocktail (5/5, recommended) followed by pork and prawn shui mai and crispy duck rolls. Both were good. The shui mai had a good texture. The duck filling tasted delicious. For the main course we went with vermicelli noodles and kung pao chicken. Although both tasted really great, the vermicelli noodles had a dead fly in it and we had to send it back (the reason why I am giving this place a 4 star, because this is meant to be a fine dining restaurant). The waiters were quick to replace it with a better batch and the overall evening went well. The kung pao chicken went well with the noodles and the quantity was quite filling. For desserts I took home the chocolate pebble. It was a bit bitter with a burst of dark chocolate inside it. I like sweet / milk chocolate more so it was not for my taste pallate but people who like dark chocolate will love this. Ambience of this place is great.

This place serves the best quality of dumplings/ dim sum in all of Kolkata. The behaviour of all the staff are very good, caring and cooperative. Must try try the Zhongzi! The service charge should not be levied forcefully on the customers!!

Loved the ambience of the place. The menu has limited options as compared to other oriental places in Kolkata, and the price is a bit on the higher side, but the taste and service definitely does make up for it. Each and every dish is an easy recommendation and a must try. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Wonderful place for beautiful and delicious desserts. The raspberry and chocolate delice was tangy and sweet and was a perfect start to the desserts. The chocolate pebble was the perfect blend of bitter and sweet. The pecan and coffee delice was the perfectly smooth end to a great dessert outing. Pair it with a Mogo Mogo tea to wash it all down.

The decor was simplistic and that stood out. The seats were spaced out and hence it was quite spacious. Total bill amount: ₹ 3705 for 2 What we ate: 1. Hot and Sour Soup - Shredded Chicken 2. Mixed dimsim platter 3. Spicy Hakka Noodles - Chicken 4. Kung Pao Chicken 5. Chocolate Hazelnut Mousse The soup tasted really good and different, it had shredded chicken in every bite,a bit sour but tasteful. The mixed dimsum platter was a surprise, every bite had a different taste, would recommend it highly. The spicy noodles was good but nothing out of the ordinary. The kung pao chicken was a bit on the drier side and tasteful. Finally the dessert, a mousse with vanilla ice cream, it was good to taste and nicely plated. Overall a good experience. It is on the costlier side but worth a try.

A brilliant cuisine, with excellent service and top notch quality of taste. Every food item was something to savor for. The Supreme meal, a special of the Yauatcha theme is not to be missed, as the set up of the entire 7 course meal is relishing! the dessert remains a highlight, with its lip smacking raspberry taste .The ambience is also quiet and refreshing. Overall, an experience worth remembering!

Tried a few dishes, not upto the mark. Highly over priced but the price was not worth it. Only Crispy Prawn Cheung Fung was worth it. Rest all the dishes were just average. Should try to add new menu and especially more taste.

It was dream to visit this Michelin Star restaurant and also have the Michelin star dish Crispy Prawn Cheung Fun. So today we visited this place and had Sweet Corn Soup with Shredded Chicken, Chicken and Prawn Shui Mai, Chicken Shanghai Dumpling, Port Klang Style Chilli Prawn and famous dessert Chocolate Pebble and Raspberry and Chocolate Delice. In drinks we had Citrus Martini and Lalou. We had a great time and wish to visit again to mainly focus in main dish.
