Luxury is served here in an amazingly humble way. The ambience of the restaurant is exquisite. I rarely give 5 stars but this place deserves it for both food and services. The restaurant is meant to bring the best of East Asian cuisines on your platter. We started with the Siu Mai. It had a good blend of textures (recommended with soy). It was served with crisp fried kaju which tasted really great. This was followed by a lobster, fried with butter and garlic, which ended up becoming my favourite; creamy with a lingering taste of butter. Then came the beverages. Petal talk and exotica were both great and refreshing but you should order them in the beginning (and not in the middle, like us). For the main course we decided to go with black miso ramen and Nabeyaki Udon. The tempura was crisp and delicious. We asked our desserts to be packed to go. Now this is where service of the highest order was delivered. The chef customised the desserts so that it wouldn't melt much. I came back home several hours later and the desserts hadn't melted even in this absurdly hot weather. The dessert was one of the best I've ever had. Marriott definitely gave us a memorable time.

Excellent Asian cuisine. Good quality food with authentic taste. Around Rs. 3500 for two. Ambience is nice. Full marks for hygiene and cleanliness. Though I found some of the prawn dishes could have been better. Very much recommended.

The only thing which is average is the ambiance, which should be decent as this place is ridiculously pricy compared to the food they prepare. I went on a special occasion , and it completely ruined our mood when the food came. The chicken was very chewy, the lamb dish was excessively salty. You don’t expect to pay 10,000 Rs. for 2 in Marriot and then get served bad food. Never coming back! And would highly recommend to go to other places. In kolkata, there is no shortage of good Chinese restaurants.

It was birthday yesterday and my partner decided that he wantsu me to treat him at Vintage Asia. So he booked a table for 2 at 8:30 pm. He was asked by the restaurant reservation lady if there was a special occasion and he mentioned “it’s my wife’s birthday” Next we arrive at the restaurant, the guy at the front desk greets us and shows us in. We sat down and started looking at the menu . Someone pops up immediately for the food order. We tell him to allow us sometime. After 10 minutes we order 2 drinks - one whisky sour & 1 martini. They both were great. However while the guy served the drinks we told him to send someone for the food order. Remind you, it was 30-40 minutes by then and no one bothered to come for our food order. My husband called for the nearest employee and told him about the issues after 40minutes have passed. The restaurant wasn’t that crowded to make the employees forget about our existence. Next we place our food order and the food arrives fast. The highlight were the prawn & chives dimsum ,burnt creme & the nigiri sampler platter. The fried calamari was way too oily for a 5 start restaurant. However I would want to mention about one staff here , her name is Remrem, she is smart and professional but lacks communication skills a lot. We had a very hard time explaining to her that we were looking for dry diced chicken item with lots of chillies but without sesame. All she heard was “rice” and then sent a a manger. I told her , I don’t need a plate , still she gave me a plate, I told her “not” to light the candle , still she did it. I told her I want regular water but she kept on asking me if I want in-house water or packed water. I really don’t know what exactly does she understand. Coming back to the dry chicken item, we asked the restaurant staff if they can make the chicken item without sesame, they said “No”. Having worked with big brands like Oberoi & ITC I know that if the customer requests for a modification in an item, that can be done , but here it seemed like there is no room for negotiation. Also, all this time NOT A SINGLE person wished me when the booking was done on the pretext of my birthday & it was mentioned when the booking was confirmed. A wish would have made a lot of difference. Overall the service was way too bad The food was ok given the price point.

Food was good. A mix of Thai and Chinese cuisine. Taste is good however not exactly similar to real Thai. Ambience is welcoming and staff is courteous. They couldn't serve beer due to unavailability was the spoiler.

Excellent food. The cuisine is substantial and of notably high calibre for the time of year. Absolutely excellent meal. It's worthwhile even if it can be expensive, and different nights have different deals, so it's recommended seeking them up before making a reservation. strongly advised. Both the service and cleaning departments require improvement. very recommended

I went there with a lot of expectations and excitement, but i was really disappointed. First of all the food was pretty pretty average for the price they are charging and the portions are also very less. Yes i understand its a 5star hotel and things will be pricey, but neither the quality nor the quantity was upto the mark. If you are charging so much please increase the quantity and to be very honest I have had much better pork ribs and lobster in Kolkata. The ambience or interior was also pretty average. For such a high end resteraurnt the entire dining area looked very bland and old designed. The interrior should be much better. The only good thing was the bakery counter in the ground floor. The cakes were amazing 😍😍. Overall i wouldn't recommend this resteraurnt for Chinese cuisine in Kolkata unless they better themselves. There are many other options like Asia Kitchen available for fine dining with Chinese cuisine.

We held our anniversary dinner party here for 20 guests. The menu was pre-set and the manager was informed well in advance. Yet, on the day of the dinner, we were repeatedly disappointed with the service: 1. There was an inordinate delay in serving the dishes. Many a times, the guests were simply sitting with empty plates after the service had begun 2.There was no co-ordination among the staff. A dish would be served to 5 people in the group and then stopped! Rice was served without the sides! 3. The quantity served in each round was too little. We had to call the waiters over and over again for second helpings! It was supposed to be a buffet! 4. They ran out of icecream! So 15 people got served the same ice cream and 5 people got something else! We are terribly disappointed with the service. The food was not out of the world to be charged such exorbitant prices. Obviously we were expected to pay for service which was terrible. The dinner became a joke. I would never recommend this place for big parties. Maybe they are better with small groups.

Well, if I were to describe this place in a word, it’d surely be - exuberant! Right from the decor to the staff and the dishes, everything about the place just sets your spirits soaring. And their Chinese menu is what I feel you check out! Starting off with the ravenous Chicken Shitake Siumai and classic Hot & Sour soup (both of which are surprisingly pocket-friendly as well as delectable) to the timeless Burnt Garlic Fried Rice & Chicken Lemongrass Thai Red Sauce, no wonder it’s an absolute treat for a food-enthusiast’s tatsebuds! The Singapore style Noodles (Mei Fung) falls slightly short of expectations, with the noodles being a little over-fried and oily. The dessert section, however, deserves a huge shoutout for the luscious and extremely fluffy Tender Coconut icecream (indeed the best that I’ve ever tasted). Service is super prompt with waiting time being limited to just about 15 minutes from order. Overall, a wonderful place for a hearty brunch!

Was a very disappointing dinner at Vintage Asia last night!! The food the first time came completely cold & we had to send it back & then when they got it back it was thankfully hot but the egg fried rice, veg Hakka and the lamb had no taste or flavour. The lamb was too tough also!!! The fish was also so so and the only dish that was good was the veg stir fry. Truly not good you expect from a 5 star hotel where the food is quite expensive. Will not return here to eat as there are much better Asian / Chinese options in the city!

Poor quality food and service. We went there for lunch and the food tasted stale. Dumplings were good but that’s it. All items from chicken to mutton to fish tasted the same and you can tell they have been made with the same base like how you get Chinese at a cheap restaurant. At the end of all that, you pay a fortune. The running joke was, we had the most expensive dumplings in the world as everything else tasted sub standard for the price we paid.

Perfect ambiance with excellent taste of food. Staffs are courteous and we got proper suggestions in terms of selection of dishes and their quantity. A perfect place for romantic dining. The food portion can be made better but the experience is right on top. Must try the lamb chops and wine.they do have some great wine collection. We had a good time there Good food and authentic flavors. We tried the thai fried chicken. was really good. Fantastic food, very nice posh ambience, well mannered and knowledgeable servers .

Such a wonderful restaurant in the town. Probably the best in town to enjoy multi-cuisine all under one roof. They serve Thai, Malay, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Italian and much more. Good variety of drinks options too!! The quality and the quantity of food was amazing. finger-licking good food with the right ambience to set your food. definitely a place to go for with your loved ones or family or friends. The staff were amazing too.

The restaurant and the ambience was simply amazing. However the food was a mix of really good dishes hence the 4-star. If you are looking to have a small and intimate celebration of some sort then this might be the place for you. The food can be better but the ambience makes up for it!

One of the best restaurants i have been in kolkata. The ambience is perhaps most classy in kolkata given its in Marriott. The food is proper thai and i can personally vouch for this as I myself cook thai food and a frequent traveller to thailand given my love for thai food and beaches.

I had celebrated my Birthday last night at Vintage Asia. Had booked the private dinning area, the Prompt service throughout provided by Arpan, & another server who’s name I didn’t really get was impeccable. They were both so helpful in suggesting us options & saw to it that our glasses were never empty for long. The food prepared by Chef Gopal was absolutely mind blowing, everything we ordered from starters to Dessert was packed with flavour & cooked with so much care. My friends & I were there from 7pm to 12am (I think), & not once were we rushed up to complete & leave soon like most restaurants do for their next booking. This will always be remembered as the best Birthday ever as it was so much fun & Vintage Asia staff helped make it even more special for me. Thank you so much for your 5 star service as always.

Another Hat up to the JW Kolkata team, the Vintage Asia gave me another great experience of Chinese Indian fusion cuisine. The open kitchen concept gave us a little show to see while having the meals. Vintage Asia is high-end level of Chinese restaurant in Kolkata which meals are presented very well, service are more personally, the ambience is very fantastic with many touch of Chinese decoration, and very courteous/helpful staff. The food is wordless, just amazing taste and well presented. I was amazed with the chicken satay which is served on personal grill on the table. I named it 5 star chicken satay. Thank you for the great experiences. It was a WOW effect for me from JW Kolkata team.

This is an Asian restaurant in the jw Marriott. The ambience is good but the food is mediocre but overpriced. We ordered xian lao bao which is supposed to have soup inside but found to be dry; Shanghai chicken dumplings were spicy but edible, vegetable sushi was ok but had mayo on top that overwhelmed the taste whereas rainbow roll unlike standard rainbow roll everywhere in the world was not crunchy since completely uncooked and had tasteless salmon and hamachi that I think are of lowest quality I had in a long time, the udon noodle soup whatever they call it was decent for a change. The lamb slices were spicy and not the one you would want to pay to eat. Worst of all- for all of the above and despite the 20000 bill for 4 adults and 3 kids - the service was awful. Polite stuffs but hugely incompetent, though seemed quite a few waiters were there service was abysmally slow. The chef needs to change in this place. And like most places I found in Kolkata there are too many people try to ooze you by buttering up but actual substance, speed of service and quality of service is well below sub par.

There are not many days I shall dine at a 5 star restaurant. But I chose JW Mariott and I was not disappointed. Quality of the food was excellent. Not only the food, the hospitality of every staff amazed me much more. If you want to dine in a 5 star restaurant, I shall recommend JW Mariott Vintage Asia. Although there are two restaurants in the same hotel, but Vintage Asia is marginally better than the other one.

Located in JW Marriott at first floor is this Asian cusine restaurant of JW vintage Asia. Ambience is quite cosy and we'll spread seating arrangements. Just have alacarte options and no buffet. Usually a cost for a couple is around Rs. 2500/-. Quite hospitable staffs, however they could work out on their staffing, inspite of repeated requests to take the order we had to wait almost fifteen minutes till someone finally arrived to take the order. Not expected from a five star hospitality. Food quality was fair enough, however i have had better taste in other restaurants. That wow factor was missing to go Gaga on.

Brilliant restaurant on the first floor lobby of JW Marriott hotel. The service is immaculate. Professional staff who are up on their feet to serve the patrons. They serve a truly delectable menu. Be here for an authentic Thai/Chinese Fooding experience. Make sure you sip the Jasmine tea they serve with an elongated kettle. It is warm and soothing. We tried the mandatory Burnt Garlic fried rice alongwith stir fried Vegetables. The starters were the showstoppers. Broccoli corn dumplings, chicken dimsums, spring rolls and fried chicken. They all were absolutely superb to have. It set the tone for the evening. It was a great experience here. Reservations recommended.

Excellent food .Great ambience. Farhana was a great hostess .We ordered the brunch set menu and ordered two ala carte items- caramelised pork and crispy fried bekti. We had four exquisite mocktails. Set menu bill was around 3600. Total came to around 6.2 k as I forgot to take advantage of my zomato gold 1+1 free on ala carte offer. All items were excellent. So were the accompanying sauces. The desserts were brilliant too.

Okayish food for the price ... JW Kitchen is better imo compared to Vintage Asia. Service isn't the best, despite of having a very small choice in the menu, there was still some items we couldn't order as they ran out, which frankly is ridiculous if you've only got about 20-25 items in the menu. Portion is small-ish, taste was decent but not the best. Overall 3/5
